6 of us in an empty restaurant were squished to a table of 4, didn't help when the 7th guest arrived. Multiple orders came out incorrect and the waitress handled it poorly. When asked how the food was, our 7th guest mentioned that she didn't like the meal. Overcooked and too tough to cut, the waitress even hit it with a spoon to see, apologized and still charged the guest full price. When asked to have the meal comped or even discounted, we were told a manager was not in. I think the poor girl paid full price still and she only had 1 or 2 bites of her meal. My meal tasted pretty good. Waitress complained about having to make a Cesar and seemed annoyed when asked to make another after the drink was done. This was our first time there.. sorry but probably won't come back.

Lovely view of golf course. Large table which seated 10 of us for birthday celebration. Dinner specials. Seafood, pasta, ribs, salads. Not vegetarian focussed but they would accommodate by not adding meat to pasta. Large portions.

Coconut shrimp followed by Bourbon pecan chicken with a side of mille foglie! The chicken was so tender and the sauce so pecanny and creamy I couldn't stop to take a photo. The 5 star rating could have been based on the chicken alone... yet the coconut shrimp was good (5 in the dish originally) and I enjoy the thin thin pasta in the mille foglie. Homemade coconut cream pie took the meal to a sixth star. And our server was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating for allergies. Will definitely be back!

A hidden little gem in the north end of the Sault. Barsanti's is located at the Root River Golf Club - you can eat and watch golfer's tee-off from the #1 hole. Delicious Italian - Canadian menu. They often have local fish specials and prime-rib. For appetizer's the chif choff is a must (if you can handle a little heat) Wait staff is always friendly and prompt and over all it's a nice relaxing atmosphere to dine with friends or loved ones.

I had the NY Strip, with caesar salad and veggies. Veggies were black beans, corn & edamame which I cant have, I asked for more salad instead which they were hesitant about and then gave me veggies anyways. My meal was dropped off while I was in the washroom and by the time we were checked back on I was already done my steak, so I had no side with my entree. Steak was just ok tbh. I got sauteed mushrooms with it and it came on my steak and was super greasy and oily. The steak was a pretty thin average ny strip, don't feel the meal stood up to the cost.

Went for a work Christmas party a few years ago. So my review may not reflect the regular menu food. The portions we got were small (especially dessert, very tiny tarts) and the service wasn't very fast compared to other popular places for parties/gatherings in the area. The pasta sauce was bland and was pretty dry (the meat portions were pretty dry as well) . It did not taste like authentic,fresh Italian dishes were being served. The atmosphere was bland (music, decor) and the whole experience just felt kind of cheap. Now this may have been because my workplace had a relatively small number of employees (under 100 with the +1s ) and perhaps chose to spend the least amount of money possible on the party, I don't know what sort of deal they worked out with Barsantis. I am not at all a fan of the golf course view. I can name off at least 3 other Italian resturaunt and party venues (each) that I have been WAY more impressed by over the years.

Arrived in Mid-December around 5:45PM. We had the whitefish and lasagna with a couple drinks. All of the food was cooked perfectly and was delivered to our table promptly, with excellent service from all members of the staff. Would highly recommend and was easily one of the best dining experiences I've had in town.

Arrived in the off season for a quick lunch. We had the grilled cheese and the Belgian waffle breakfast. Reasonable restaurant fare. Restaurant was clean and busy with several large tables that were having lunch. Ate overlooking the golf course, nice location. Plenty of parking here as well. Would try again for sure.

The gnocchi. That's all I have to say. Easily the best in town. I make it a point to eat gnocchi as often as I can, and none I've tasted have come close to these. Light and fluffy just like they're supposed to be. Mcewan is known for them in Toronto, and I can confirm that the Root's are definitely better! Tomato sauce is also really good and tastes homemade. I'd eat these every day if I could.

A place we go often. Awesome atmosphere with great and inviting staff and awesome food. This place is perfect for having a beverage and snack or meal before or after golfing. You are welcomed whether you are dressed and want a casual experience, arrive whether you are dressed up or dressed down. Great for a romantic dinner, a family dinner, a special celebration, or just to sit at the bar! They accommodate you no matter what the occasion ! Great relaxing atmosphere with large windows, view of the golf course, or sit by the fireplace. They have areas in the restaurant that are slightly sectioned off for some privacy for private parties, groups, and special occasions ! I would highly recommend this place no matter what the occasion is!

Came here for a wedding dinner. The staff did a good job at making sure everyone had drinks refilled when needed. The decorations were nice but I think it was partly done by the organizers of the family. The food was PHENOMENAL. Delicious appetizers, their Mille foglia is so good. The entree was yummy. I had the fish, came with green beans and the most amazing mashed potatoes. Dessert was also delicious- a salted caramel cheesecake and lemon tart. Would return here for a meal, so delicious.
