We were visiting from England for a family wedding and the food was superb, the surroundings breathtaking and the staff went out of their way to make sure we had a ride home. Nice selection of drinks, first time I had a Caesar which was a Canadian take on Bloody Mary with a shot of clam juice. Just so delicious. A new favourite cocktail.

I'm not a member at any course and tend to play all over the London Area. Over the last few years Pine Knot has become the best value for public golf in our area. They do a lot of things that other public clubs neglect - tee boxes are in great shape, greens run pure even in the fall, tee sheets with pin locations, bunkers are taken care of and carts have GPS devices. I feel like during the pandemic a lot of courses in our area have been doing as little as possible to remain playable, meanwhile Pine Knot continues to make improvements. Further , I don't think there is any place in the area that drains as well as Pine Knot does. You get all of this quality while still paying a comparable price to other places in the area and for that I keep coming back.

Great course and people but the negative is that I've noticed that throughout the course the milkweed were eradicated by the use of chemical. As everyone should know by now milkweed is critical to the Monarch butterfly population because it's the only way they can reproduce.

Course was great. Worst service I have had at a golf course. One man, middle aged balding was working the pro shop and was rude. Made an appointment online, didn't matter he made me re state at the details already said. Had the sprinklers turned on. Returned the cart and got treated very rudely. This would be a four stars on the course and zero stars on the service.

Course is in condition but the management has packed the course front to back. I’ve waited 15 minutes to tee off every hole. Cart girl has skipped us three times and I’ve heard “four” every hole. Holes are not spaced out very far and golfers are on top of each other. I will not be playing this course again. Our 4.5 hour 18 is going into 6 hours.

Never played here before. First day back from the golf lockout and the course was immaculate. Felt great to be back. Grounds guys were friendly and even when we slowed the pace of the day we were greeted by the Marshall very courteously and very nicely asked us to speed up the play a bit. I promise I want won't be as rusty next time. ????????

Completely understandable why it’s been rated London and surrounding area’s #1 Golf Course for so many years in a row. I remember my first time there - the starter was very friendly and took the time to explain to my group every detail we would want to know. He also explained how we should approach certain tricky holes. It’s got everything you could want in a club too. Great location, great amenities, friendly staff, course is pure, and more. Very “gettable” course as long as you stay within 10 yards of the fairway, and out of hazards. A few holes that you can try a risk for reward “go-for-it” type of shot. Money well spent on a round at Pine Knot.

Fantastic course, difficult if you don't manage your club selection. Greens run very true and are fast enough to enjoy. Maintained and managed well. Price is on average for what you get, however the price of golf has gone up too much for the most part. Going to price people out of the game unfortunately.

Course was in good shape. Social distancing was honoured. The issue we had was prepaying to reserve our tee time. I understand reserving a spot witha credit card. But to charge for sevices before they were used was frustrating. If we had to make any changes I.e. removing a cart from the bill, it Required a manger to make changes. Why not allow players to pay when they show up?

Pace of play is terrible and they don’t do anything about it. You need a Marshall out there ensuring that groups are playing at a reasonable pace. Greens are kept in great shape. Fairways/rough didn’t look like they’d been watered.

I've been out to Pine Knot a few times so far this year and I don't doubt I will be going back. This course is absolutely beautiful. Nice fairways, consistent greens, one of the best courses around, I highly recommend playing here if you haven't.

Great food Great service Great prices They have the golf simulator set up all winter. Private room with big screen projector to watch your favorite sporting events while you play on the top notch world class simulator. Also there is a league you can join with prizes all winter long. Just spent a lot of money on upgrades to the facility and top of the line golf carts.

Played here for the first time this year during a solo outing. Staff was welcoming and got me out right away. Awesome course and great conditions. Have played multiple more times since and enjoyed every round, even the ones in January! Updated carts are great for riders, but course can be walked easily as well. Indoor sim is a great experience and a great value compared to competition. Great staff, and facilities make this a top place to visit. Will be back.

Fun local course. Very dry this year. Tee times really hard to book for league so a bit frustrating. Food usually OK. Restaurant staff accommodating for food requests. Would be nice if halfway hut or cart was available for ladies league -- often closed.

Course was In decent shape for being March. So I gave it a 2. Pace of play is terrible. No Marshall came around at all if they even have one. When you have a guy who can't drive the ball 150 yards on a GOOD drive, you shouldn't be playing the gold tees. When you are on your triple bogey shot and not even at the green yet, you should be moving to the front tees. Frustrating waiting 5-10 minutes to hit everyshot.

Golf course was in good shape greens were definitely the nicest part of the course. Golf etiquette was a little lacking (repair marks on the green, let faster people through, repair divots). But thats more a knock on the people golfing the course. The staff were all fantastic and I definitely felt welcomed even though it was my first time at the course. I recommend this course to the beginners and veterans of the sport alike. The white and red tee boxes are forgiving for newer players and as a 11 hadicap the gold tees provided more than enough challenge for me on most holes.

This is a quality parkland course in excellent condition. Play the appropriate tee deck for your driver distance and you will have challenging but fair approach shots to well guarded greens. Can’t say enough about the quality of the greens and subtle breaks. Greens of this quality are usually only found on private courses. Kudo’s to the greens keeper!!!

Monday after the masters. Well it was a balmy 4°C when we started and we ended up over heated when it jumped to 7. Staff has always been super friendly. I have always loved the greens here for there speed. We had a great day there AGAIN!

Can only speak to the golf course which has been in great shape every time I've played there. The prime time rate of $56 to play 18 with a cart is over priced in my opinion. It should be sitting closer to the $45 range. The gas carts at this location are possibly the worst of any course I've been too. There is a very long lag from when you put your foot on the gas and the cart actually starts driving. Got dangerous a few times when I started to roll back on a hill waiting for the carts to start moving forward. For the over priced course that it is having to deal with terrible carts is ridiculous. Lots of parking but thr parking lot is gravel which again for the price should be a fully paved parking lot. Nothing worse than having a newly cleaned car and going golfing only to have the dust ruin your cleanliness. The beer cart girls were on top of the ball for the entire round showing up just when you needed a cold drink, bathrooms being around the front 9 is very helpful too.

Great experience. Perfect balance of golf for everyone from challenge to play-ability. Conditions are top shelf, best public greens you can play that rival private clubs. The best drainage I have ever witnessed make it the first choice summer, spring, fall and winter. Welcoming staff and a great hang out and restaurant before and after the round. Always improving.

We had our wedding at the Pine Knot Golf and Country Club. Our experience working with Eric Kirkpatrick, the owner and his staff can best be described as fantastic. Our wedding was scheduled for June 2020, but when the COVID-19 lockdowns were put in place, we decided to postpone. Eric displayed remarkable understanding and flexibility in providing us with a couple of alternate dates in 2021. We got married on August 8, 2021 and we were pleased beyond expectations with how everything worked out. The outdoor spaces for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were spacious and immaculately groomed. The covered pavilion, that was provided for the outdoor reception, was remarkably comfortable once it was decorated. The staff were quite pleasant, friendly, organized, and helpful. The feedback we received from our wedding guests helped us confirm that using Pine Knot as our wedding venue was one of the best decisions we have made so far. We have been highly recommending Pine Knot to our friends and family as a reasonably priced, extremely beautiful wedding venue with an amazing owner and great staff, and we will continue to do so. Our violin and cello duo performed at Pine Knot for a wedding ceremony that was held down by the arbour, and we were positioned on the back deck. Guests had no idea where the sound of our playing was coming from, and they were surprised to see musicians performing! Recommended for weddings and events.

I got married at Pine Knot this year in June. Eric and Rachel were amazing to work with. Very organized, helpful and accommodating. The venue is spacious, the grounds were immaculate and the covered balcony was a huge hit! (Also a great backup plan if it rains and you're planning on getting married outside.) We had many guests compliment us on the food. Several even said it was the best they'd ever had at a wedding. I was honestly so impressed and had zero complaints. If you're looking for a beautiful, reasonably price and well run wedding venue - this is the place.

Definitely a great course. Food was great. The Ranger was on top of things. So why is it one person can make me rate the place a 4 not a 5. One girl thought she owns the place instead of running the place. Needs to do her job and not be so power hungry. When I drop 200.00 dollars for 2 people to golf in a day it would be nice to feel like a customer.

Do not book tee times or go to Pine Knot. I booked 2 tee times and had to cancel 1 time 2 days ahead of the date. When we showed up to golf, I checked in and was told that I still had been charged for 2 tee times. Speaking with both the cashier and manager I was assured that the second charge would be dropped. But they had the money and were able to sell the tee time again and double dip. Will never golf there again and I have informed my golf group comprising 27 members and they will not go again either. Facebook and Twitter posts to follow. Its too bad this app won't allow 0 stars!!!

I have been golfing for a year and a half, was out today at 758am with my dad a older gentlemen. No one was ahead of us but there was a group of three behind. At no point where we making them wait, at hole 11 the golf Marshall came out to us saying we where holding people up and they have to clear the course for a event. I've never been so insulted at a golf course, and don't ever plan to return. It's sad because it's a nice course, I guess you just have to be a VIP to enjoy it. Edit to respond - Our time was 2 hours at the 10th hole. So I'm sure A VIP had a issue, as we would been on time for your course. I am not upset or embarrassed, I am shocked at your lack of knowledge and information.

This place is fantastic! We were visiting the London area for a Fall golf trip and ended up at Pine Knot at the recommendation of some friends who live in the area. From the minute we stepped foot into the golf shop we felt very welcome and the service provided by Dean (the Pro Shop Manager) were to the level you would expect at some of the finest private clubs. The golf course is an excellent test of golf with several memorable holes that require you to use every club in your bag and shape the golf ball both ways. Kudos to the entire Pine Knot family...you have a real gem! We will be back!

Driving range is kind of lame, the ball dispenser has seen better days, you need to go to the main shop to buy tokens for it because the part of the machine that accepts cash is broken. When i went the putting green was in poor condition, not even worth practicing on, ill try another place next time.

Our foursome played the course on Dec. 28th. A great course and a great day. The sun came out before we finished the front 9 and the temp was around 11C. Not bad for late December. I missed a hole in 1 on the 16th by six inches! And Big Mac missed an eagle putt on 14 by less than six inches. Truly an inspiring day . Great guys running the pro shop. One of them visited us on the 17th and discussed the next time the course might open - early January. We can't wait for the 'next time'!

I'm amazed by the negative reviews posted by people who have no idea how hard it is to run a business during these difficult times. And the refreshments were reasonably priced. Going back soon.

My husband golfed at Pine Knot golf couse and enjoyed his round. We met the golf foursome for drinks after the 18th hole. The grounds look beautifully maintained. Krya was our waitress on the patio and she was awesome! Friendly and professional. Two weeks it was steak, then ham with pineapple and cherries, pickeral and this week great macaroni and cheese with bacon, sausage, peppers etc in it. Always get salad bar with special and dessert. Good value.

The Ladies League at Pine Knot is superior to any league I have played in. Today was our closing tournament and the food was excellent, course in great shape and they out did themselves in hospitality. They cannot ever do enough to make your experience a pleasant one. We ate st the Pub every Tuesday night after our round and the staff were awesome and the food was always served hot and was delicious. Dean is to be commended for making the Ladies League important and he is awesome to deal with. Thank you for everything you do to make our experience at your club a very pleasant one.

Course gets 5 stars, service in the pro shop gets 0. Very rude. For no apparent reason that i can think of other than we were two young adults golfing. Made a booking online (had to) and they made no mention of this when we were arrived . Basically had to book twice. What is the point of asking your customers to book a tee time online if you dont use this at all to speed up the process when we arrive. A little expensive but I enjoyed the course alot. Would reccomend going not at a peak time because it simply does not live up to the cost otherwise.

Sat May 22, 2021 my friend and myself played around at 8:30am. We arrived 5min late and were greeted by two starters with rude and unhelpful remarks, understandable we did arrive late. What was unacceptable, after the first hole one of the starters drove up to us while we waited for the group ahead of us to tee off and in a condescending tone told us they "were getting complains about you playing too slow” (after the first hole!). After which he told my friend (a new golfer) he shouldn’t play from the black tees clearly implying he was a bad golfer. We were not holding anyone up the starter just wanted a confrontation. I don’t often leave reviews, but the starter staff made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Disappointing.

We came in on a reservation with 11 of us. The service was horrid, waited 30 mins just to get drinks then almost an hour before food. The server had an attitude the entire time and everyone could feel that we were not wanted there. The food was pretty good, but the service was the worst Ive ever experienced. Not ever returning.

Unimpressive. This is the only way I can describe my first impression of Pine Knot. My husband and I had planned to celebrate our anniversary by getting out of busy London to enjoy some peace and quiet. After my daughter and son in law told us about this little golf course in their town, Dorchester, we thought it would be perfect ! Upon arriving we were immediately met with the same snobbish people we had left the city to avoid. The complete lack of etiquette was laughable. My husband even over heard disrespectful comments about the employees, which is simply unfortunate. Apart form the patrons, which is of course out of the courses control, the disrespect for the wild life left me appalled. The months through March to May are the nesting season for Canadian geese, as most know. An employee was told to "remove the nest" due to complaints of golfers. In a disturbing display, the adult birds were scared off their nest and the remaining eggs were rolled into the near by pond. This event was inhumane and undoubtedly caused trauma to the mature geese. Perhaps the only thing more disgusting than this amateur display of "relocation" were the restrooms. I would sooner freshen up in an outhouse than step foot in those facilities again. The floor was sticky and the stench was quite unbearable. There was tissue scattered about and over flowing waste bins! There needs to be much more emphasis on the overall hygiene. Another disappointment was the grass. Sloppy and uneven greens. As it is the least complex cutting, I was astounded at how absolutely butchered it was. The bunkers could also use work. Turning the sand is a vital part of the upkeep and should be remembered. Simply put your efforts into maintaining the course rather than appeasing singular complaints (i.e geese are a naturally occurring species in Canada, complaining about their existence and nesting is ridiculous and uneducated.) With all this said, I hope you see this as a way to further your success with major changes.

Course is good for me. I am a 90-95 honest golfer on this course( I like the layout and the challenge). Carts are very low end with no GPS and are visibly tired. Food is good and the bar area is very decent. For the price, it is a fun round.

This coming spring will be my 7th year working at Pine Knot in the proshop and on the course with the beverage department and I can honestly say it’s my home away from home. I love coming to work everyday because all staff are like family and love what we do, the atmosphere is always great and the course is beautiful. It’s safe to say it’s pretty hard to get sick of this place, and you don’t know what you're missing out on if you’ve never golf/dinned here!!

I arrived without a tee time on a monday. Course had a tournament that day but the proshop staff (Beau) still managed to get me out. Course conditions were immaculate. Greens were slick and smooth. Crazy how good they were. Fairways and tee boxes were great. I did not expect it from a public course. Overall very pleased. Staff, conditions, pace of play. One of my favourite courses.

The staff go above and beyond to ensure each customer gets the experience they would expect from a high class club and wedding venue. The restaurant offers a good variety of menu items and homemade daily specials. The course itself is open whenever possible giving patrons a chance to play when other courses are closed. The greens are always top notch! Good vibes all round!

Course was in decent shape for so early in the year. Bar staff which consisted of one person Amanda was fantastic considering she handled the bar, kitchen, simulator and patio outside. Made the 19th hole experience perfect for the day.
