A pleasant experience. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Course is in good condition and offers a fair mix of challenging as well as easier hole designs. We stayed for dinner and found the quality of food (southwest salad & bacon cheeseburger) to be excellent as well as generously portioned. Great value! Overall a great experience!

I went here for fabulous Halloween event . The haunted house was very impressive . The food and customer service was also top notch . I will back once it gets warmer to try out the course.

Way over crowed had to wait ten to twenty minutes each hole. Washrooms we’re locked too not sure why. I come from out of town to play there. However will not be returning due to over crowding and we play golf x3 a week.

This course should not even be even listed as a golf course. We are not PGA golfers by any means but this course was the most frustrating place to try and spend our Sunday afternoon! We booked a round for 18 and finally left after 12 holes of golf. The “greens” do not exist. The ball barley rolls in an area it is suppose to be designed to have a bit of a spin. The fairways also do not exist. I have seen neighbourhood properties have shorter grass than what this course was calling fairways. There were many times we lost balls on the fairway. We have played many courses and this was by far the most disappointing. It is very obvious the course is not kept up and I would imagine this is not the first complaint. It would be common decency to post signage or advertise if it is under construction so golfers are not to be disappointed. Safe yourself the time and unnecessary frustration and go elsewhere!! This course is not worth a cent!

New owners, New look, New menu! Food and service was excellent! Great job for our party of 30!. We have been able to visit and enjoy the patio lately. The service continues to be great with a ice selection of bar type casual food and lots of options. The view of the course with the Thames running behind it is beautiful.

Not a pro golfer by any means, was just looking for a fun time with the wife. Paid 70 bucks for the 2 of us with cart which for a fun round of golf I thought was fair. This course was in absolutely terrible shape. I use to play here when I was younger and it was much nicer then. Some of the greens had black patches roughly 1-2 feet in diameter. To top it off, they were unable to serve us alcohol due to a licensing hold up. I’d give 1 star but the sign out front said new owners and I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt that perhaps there was some form of layout in ownership that led to the poor condition and licensing but the staff, although friendly, were mostly focused on painting the building and other building related maintenance items. I’d advise spending more time bringing the course up to a respectable condition. Training your staff to set the expectation with customers when booking tee times would also be appreciated by most I’m sure. In its present state this is a wedding hall that can’t sell booze, backing onto the river... not a golf course. You can play better courses for cheaper guaranteed.

We went for a wedding and the staff was quite rude with almost all the guests . It wasn't a loud bunch, wasn't even 60 people. We didn't let it wreck the night,just wish the staff could have at the very least acted like they liked their job.

Can't believe this place is below 4 stars.. Loving the simplicity of the menu, the staff are over-the-moon awesome and will come again and again. Today I had the biggie mac burger with added bacon, my wife had the steak. Burger was excellent, steak was underdone - no complaints, no issues, they went and made her a fresh steak that was perfection. Most places would cook the same steak again... Top notch with thanks! Looking forward to our next visit! Edit: What a surprise - the chef handed us a deep fried butter tart for a complimentary desert! All things aside, that's one of the most delicious things I've eaten in I can't remember when. Thank you!!!

After hearing good things about the Chef at Dining on the Thames at the new Dorchester Golf & Country Club my wife and I decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. Surrounded by wonderful views of the course the restaurant is welcoming and non-pretentious. The menu is focused and a perfect balance of accessibility and premium offerings. Having made arrangements suitably in advance, Chef Jason put together a multi course Chef’s table experience for my wife and I. The result was confirmation of Chef’s obvious talent, passion for his ingredients and obsession with creating amazing food. The service was excellent and the wine pairings insightful. I highly recommend Dining on the Thames for any occasion. My family and I will be returning often for its views, reasonable prices, great service and excellent food.

Just want to say what an amazing lunch enjoyed with a great friend this afternoon. Although a damp day, we sat outside on the covered deck and enjoyed not only a gorgeous view but also amazing food. I was the maid of honor at my sisters wedding, in the summer of 2016 i was blown away by how impressive the staff was, the food was incredible it was brought out in a orderly fashion, and Kim Shaw had impeccable eye for detail and was at my sisters side through the entire process. Kim made the wedding easy and we were able to communicate openly through my sisters entire special day. All staff were welcoming and professional. I would highly recommend having a wedding at this beautiful venue.

Played a quick 12 holes which was perfect and enjoyed some beer in tgd garden overlooking the course. Each of the holes are quite long and open, with a few water traps - not much sand.

This course serves no purpose other than it's a place for beginners and children to go and hack around for 12 holes. It's difficult to tell the difference between the fairways and the greens. Strange layout with balls flying in all different directions. This is not a place for experienced golfers . If you haven't played the game before, this might be a good place to start, but other than that, it barely passes as a golf course. On a positive note, customer service was friendly and helpful and a nice looking clubhouse.

I attended my aunt's wedding last year. The venue was incredible, the meal was fast and delicious! Staff were always checking in with the bridal party to make sure needs were met. The day wouldn't have been as special as if it wasn't for wonderful customer service they provided and the beautiful venue! Would defiantly recommend weddings or special events here.

Good short course for amateurs. Evenings are usually pretty quiet and for slow golfers like me, I've never felt rushed.

Course was in very rough shape. Fairways were a little shaggy and the second cut was so long you easily lost your ball unless you practically stepped on it. The greens were very rough and wooly. To put it bluntly a wast of money. On the positive side the staff was friendly.

Who ever you hired as your new superintendent, don’t let him go. The updates are a work in progress but they have managed to get the course in a playable state. This weekend is the first time I’ve actually enjoyed playing the course. From Tee to Green they have improved. Maybe spend some time investing into the playability and ground staff than building and other things around the club house, that can be done in the fall/winter. It is a golf course after all, that is where 75% of your revenue will come from. I enjoyed my round and will be back to see how your superintendent keeps things going. Thanks

For future reference to any bride looking to use this venue to host your wedding, DO NOT GO HERE! The owner that hosted the wedding (Cece) was so disorganised, uptight, controlling and rude..not only to my husband and I but to my guests as well. She rushed us through the night, made us feel like we had to leave early. I felt like we didn't have control or a say. I'm so disappointment that I went with Dorchester golf and country club to host my special day.

This golf course is in in extremely poor condition. The greens are the same height as the fringe. I play mediocre courses and dont have high expectations..... however i was very surprised to see the poor condition of this course. I dont think I have ever written a poor google review.... Spend the extra few dollars and go somewhere else. There are a couple nice holes along the thames, staff were nice, and gatorade was cold. The grounds were not in any condition that I would recommend spending any money on playing here again.

Three of us played a round this afternoon and I could not believe the changes that have been made since I last played this course last year. They are working really hard and you can tell. The greens have really improved, the fairways were perfectly cut and we really enjoyed our game today. The staff was prompt, courteous and friendly. We didn’t have time to eat at the clubhouse but the menu had lots of good options and I will be sure to allow time for that the next time I go. They even added a cool beach which would be neat for any weddings held there. Well done Dorchester Golf Club, we will definitely return.

Been golfing here for over a year now and the new owners have turned this place around The greens and fairways are looking better every week. you can tell they have been working hard to make it better. I like the 12 hole course with some challenging holes. Friendly staff and a feel good atmosphere in the restaurant and clubhouse We held a Tournament here and the staff made it easy and everyone who participated had a blast I would highly recommend this course

My fiancee and I decided to give this place a try as we were in the area, the lady owner was very friendly, and very polite, gave my fiancee choices of wines to try. Nothing too much effort for her, excellent service, my fiancee had a smoked chicken sandwich, and I had a burger and fries, O M GOODNESS the best burger I've ever tasted, and the prices were reasonable also, we really had a great time tonight and really hope the new owners are successful in their new venture, the food is out of this world, Thank you We will certainly recommend this place to all our friends and family, and we will be back very soon. We were greeted by a beautiful club house and veranda patio overlooking the course. It was pretty much the best part of the day....the course is rough....long grass and undefined fairways, poorly marked pathways to each hole....no cart path. Some "greens" had almost no grass left. Will not return.

Went golfing with a group of girls for the first time. We had a lot of laughs and fun! We aren't big beer drinkers, so the beer cart girl made us cocktails! The food was also amazing and the lady who was serving us (I think she's the owner) was so kind and funny! Will be back for sure!!

Played my first time here today for a weekday round today. Tee boxes and fairways were in pretty good shape. Most of the bunkers looked playable, didn’t find myself in any. The reason for 3 instead of a 4 is the pace of play. We arrived at the first tee to find we were the 5th group on the 1st hole. One at the green, one in the fairway, one waiting on the tees and then another group plus us. Should have walked away right then. We waited 3-5 minutes every shot. We abandoned the round at the 8th hole as we were already at 2hrs 10mins with 4 holes to play. We couldn’t take it anymore and we came for 12holes expecting 2.5 hours but this pace was likely going to be 3.5 hours or more! Please work on your time management of the course. I was going to make comment at pro shop when we came off but there was no body around.
