Amazing customer service and attention to detail. Shauna in the service department has exceptional customer service and always make you feel like you are in good hands. I am currently living in Toronto but I often try to schedule my service appointments in SJ when I am home for holiday breaks.
I hate to be harsh, but to be honest I cannot believe the incompetence level of knowledge within this dealership! I asked a simple question..."which type of reverse bulb do I need for my Jetta"...response...I have to get a manager on the phone...her response...a 5 watt bulb! I hate arguing, but I couldn't get a model, socket size, or if it's a halogen/led/hid (even tho obviously it's a halogen stock) from them. THEN THEY HUNG UP ON ME!!!
I have been searching for a car for almost 6 weeks since I arrived to Saint John and I did not find what I am Searching for except when I visited Volkswagen showroom. Neil, the manager and the first guy I dealt with, showed exceptional understanding of my needs which I found for the first time during my searching for a car and knew how to make me a loyal customer of wolksvagen. Brad is a wonderful person as well. --------- Update: Just two days after I bought the car the check engine lamp turned on, I went to a famous certified mechanic he told me that there are bunch of problems in the car, something needs to be changed in the oil tank and that's why the lamp is turned on, the air-conditioning is not working at all in the back part of the van and some parts needs to be replaced down near the suspension. The cost of repair was near 1500 dollars. I reverted back to the gentlemen in Volkswagen and guess what? They told me it's a wholesale car not a certified car. Despite they were Selling it as a certified one. I told them I want to return the car back and take my money and they did. Will never deal with them again.

Absolute liars! Drove 4 hours and was promised that they had multiple cars that matched the specifications I was looking for AVAILABLE on the lot. I got there and there was nothing! Terrible sales tactics! If you ever choose to shop for a vehicle here, and are not local, make sure to ask for pictures with the date! Otherwise be prepared to have your time wasted and get shaken down.
I had an absolutely great experience buying my new to me vehicle. My salesperson, Alex, was over the top easy to work with. Open, friendly, knowledgeable. The service department is useless
Brought in my 2012 VW Golf Wagon for MVI, was told that it needed new front pads & rotors or it would fail MVI. Brought the car to another mechanic who replaced the pads, said the rotors were fine. The second mechanic showed me how the rotors did not need to be replaced for MVI. Third mechanic concurred, and read the motor vehicle standard for rotors, which mine met (without replacement required). VW Dealership refused to refund my MVI cost, or take any ownership. Dealership is using MVI process to force unneeded repairs.
Worth the extra cost
I brought my car in for a recall, and had everything taken care of quite quickly and professionally. They also threw in free roadside assistance and keychains, what's not to like.

I had the best experience ever! Staff were incredibly friendly and funny! My test drives were so laid back yet informative. I didn't feel pressured to make a purchase. I had stopped there just to drive through the lot for something to do, to just browse. Well shortly after I was a very proud new owner of a beautiful Golf! My salesman Alex was such a delight to do business with! We shared many stories and laughs. He is very professional and I felt completely comfortable letting him guide me through my spontaneous purchase! Thank you all so much for the excellent experience, even Jessica in finance was so sweet and a pleasure to deal with. I LOVE MY NEW VW GOLF!

She is so happy and cheerful you could talk to her all day. SJ VW is very lucky to have her as are anyone who calls in and speaks with her. Very poor service, and no training for front end staff to deal with situation. Out of 4 experiences 2 where good but the front end staff were casual like you would talk to your friend and had zero customer service training.

Bought a second hand one and took it for paint and corrosion warranty which after a lot of arguing finally got it done after1 year, thanks to preferred auto and Frank , the great guy that runs it . Bought a battery from them and one year later it kicked out and we told them about it with receipt and they wanted to test it at our charge . We told them never mind we will buy a new one somewhere else. They wouldn't even help us at all after a 13 month battery quit.. Thank goodness we never bought the vehicle from them . Had checked the new ones when we were looking and so thankful we didn't as are not happy with dealership . They need a big shake up and soon...

My boyfriend and I were at Volkswagen in Saint John recently. It was NOT a good experience. Although the sales rep was fine, there was a worker who I think was on his break. (We heard other employees referring to him as Tim). The entire time we were there, this individual loudly commented to other employees about his "explosive diarrhea". Normally, I would just laugh it off but it got really graphic and descriptive. To make it even worse, he was audibly farting the whole time. Being 4 months pregnant, the smell and the details did force us to leave without getting the information we needed. GROSS.
I can never get ahold of anyone in parts, they were short with me at the service desk and not friendly. This is the only dealership I know that requires a VIN just to get a quote on a part. Nah, don't waste your time here. Go somewhere else.
I bought a brand new 40k car from them and it had a leaking sunroof... their response was "well we don't build the cars, we just sell them" ?? When I told them I would need a loaner car it was like I asked them for the moon. I just bought a 40k car from them! I got a loaner car and eventually and got my car back. I thought I had left a set of keys and sunglasses in the center console of the loaner car I called them to see if they were in the car. Their response "No the detailers always go over the loaners when they get back and they would have brought those to us" I asked if she could go look and she said she was busy so I took her word for it. I assumed I lost the keys and sunglasses and ended up going across the province to get another set of keys (4 different locations). My cars sunroof was starting to leak again so I needed to bring it back for the third time (the first time they had installed trim for the lower tier model, they blamed VW for sending the wrong parts, I think they ordered the wrong parts). They gave me the same loaner car.. guess what was in the center console? My keys that I thought I lost and drove across the province to replace. Oddly enough my sunglasses were not there. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt but this place really makes that difficult. I drive to Fredericton VW for all my service.

Very poor customer service in the sales department. The car runs great but the service offered is poor, all they care about is the almighty dollar, not the customer. I would recommend making the drive to Fredericton VW where they have great service!
Worst dealership ever , I got priced on a Volkswagen tiguan and they told me this is me price on the road and when i went in to sign to buy it the price was different , there was 4,000$ difference between the price they told me at first and they told me it's just insurances and floor mats and bunch other bs. Wont ever go in there!

I wasn't even sure that I'll get this far, I met Brad who was very informative, cheerful, polite and professional, who showed me the Sportwagen. Then I decided to give it a shot so I then met Jessica, the business manager, to fill an application for it. I remember when Jessica said she'll make my "New Year" right. I finally have my new car which I'm really loving it. From the beginning, both Brad and Jessica did a wonderful job helping me out throughout my process and answering all my questions; and at last, making this really possible which I had never though of. I cannot thank enough to both of them and all the other staff especially Alex made me feel very welcoming, what a pleasant surprise and great way to start this year!
