The food and service is so good I always try to dine here when I'm in Regina. First, the staff are all very friendly and professional. The servers have made a career in serving and are some of the best and most experienced I've come across. As for the food, I'd strongly recommend getting the table side Caesar salad. It's unreal! Outside of this, pretty well any of the main courses will more than please. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice dinner experience or trying to impress a large group.

Only ate half of my prime rib sandwich. Very nice meat(tender and juicy) but it lacked flavour in every aspect. Au jus was meh... I think it is packaged brown bouillon that had the right level of salty, but lacked depth of flavours. Only wanting to eat half... Bad sign.

We had a great time @ Golfs, Curtis was so receptive there were 8 of us, and almost 100% were Caesar Salad experts ????, it was the best Caesar Salad made at the tablyand no less for 8, the quality of food was great, Steak, lobster, appetizers and above all great Service. Went there for lunch with my team for a farewell, ordered the top sirloin with a medium cook. My plate arrived and the sides looked fine, however my steak was very thin and when I cut into it it was very clearly overcooked, grey and not appealing. the waiter came quickly enough and exchanged it, however when I received my replacement it was a smaller cut and though the cook was fine it was very tough and sinewy. my sides had shrunk as well which I thought was funny I had less fries on my plate than when the waiter had exchanged it! While paying for my meal, our server apologized for the overcooked steak and asked about the second to which I said it was not very good either, she then mentioned that much of the meat felt tough. IF IT'S TOUGH WHY DID YOU SERVE IT TO ME? I did not expect a free steak or meal, but after multiple complaints I was not even offered a small discount. I still ended up offering a tip though much smaller than what I would have left had I even remotely enjoyed my meal. all in all it's been a while since I'd been to Golfs before today and I can say wholeheartedly I would not recommend going here and I likely will not return.

I stuck to the steak which I can safely say was one of (possibly *the*) best pieces of meat I've ever eaten. I've had steak at several high-end places (mostly in Toronto and London, UK), and this blew them out of the water. Flavourful, juicy and cooked to perfection. In addition, the service was friendly, relaxed and attentive. I would not hesitate to vigorously recommend this restaurant to others. Even writing this is making me want to hop on a plane back to Regina!

Food was very very good. My wife and I had steak and chicken. Both had very different distinct tastes. The rice had a mushroom kind of flavor and prepared just right that you wouldn't need soy sauce to boost flavor. Our veggies even tasted different from each others plate. Very very nice. The coconut prawns where top notch. The garlic toast was just the right amount of garlic taste. French onion soup was amazing. Good balance of cheese. Ceaser salad dressing was creamy, not a bad thing tho. Beer and drinks where reasonably priced for the level of restaurant this is. Service was good. Overall zero complaints. 160 dollars for 2 people is quite expensive but overall we where happy we ate here.

On a scale from 1 to 10, I would say 4.5. Steak was cold although done to my liking. The senior server (woman) was very abrupt an not accommodating. Lack of overview for what the dish was calling for. The side dish (plain tomatoes) had no dressing, and none has been offered. The choices have been suggested very blunt, with no alternatives. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, and unless one has not been around in bigger urban area and even than... Don't go!

Great food. Great service. Always a cut above the rest. I ordered a steak, my wife ordered the prime rib. Both were cooked as ordered. The meal included soup, salad, garlic toast, along with the baked potato and vegetables that came with the steaks. Our water glasses never dropped below half, and we didn't need to ask for them to be refilled. Prices were reasonable considering everything that is included with the meal.

Over priced for what they serve. Cocktails were good. Started with escargot ????. Had a funny taste to them, bitter and sour. Good presentation though. Then the French onion soup was sub par, nothing special, my husband can do better. Then the tossed salad which wasn’t tossed at all with a French dressing that looked liked thousand island dressing. I ordered crab ???? and lobster with linguini. Crab tasted like it was frozen then thawed and ended watery. The linguini was lifeless, I had to order extra Parmesan for it to have a taste. Lobster taste and size was the only great thing happening in that plate. Service was horrendous, the lady who served us wasn’t engaging. Takes the plates off the table piling them up like in a diner. Takes my order looking everywhere else but at me. No class in her service whatsoever. Over all, if it was not a fine dining place, the food is passable. Service and food is out of place. They should convert it to a dinner, then it will be a 4 star diner.

Ate here last month for a business dinner with local clients on their recommendation. I ordered the Steak Diane with one of the lower cost Cabs. Both were excellent. I will go so far as to admit I have never had a better steak. Having lived in Omaha, that should mean something. I savored every bite of that Steak Diane, and the Cab was smooth and full. Nice nose. Not expensive. I travel about 50-70% of the year on business in the US and Canada, and this is the best steak dinner I've had in years. I do agree with other comments about the dated décor. When I first entered, it felt like 1978. Waiters in ties and starched shirts. A bit stiff for today's crowd. They were all very efficient, but the vibe was not as comfortable as I prefer today. Suggest they update the interior and make it more friendly and less formal. There isn't a window in this place, which always bothers me.

If you’re the kind of person who wants to show off and take a date to a fancy restaurant, this is the one to hit up in Regina. Golf’s has a superb cocktail menu that’ll loosen you up. All their entrees are delicious and come with a few starters. I had the ribs and they just fell off the bone. I even had leftovers and they still tasted divine despite being in my fridge a day. The chairs are comfortable and what I appreciated the most was the privacy in between tables and booths. If you wanted to discuss anything naughty or highly secretive, nobody would hear a thing ????

September 14/20 my wife and I enjoyed delicious caesar cocktails and a Greek rib starter however the calamari we also ordered was rubbery. The clam chowder was very good as were the Greek and Caesar salads. My 10 ounce New York steak had gristle on one end. My wife’s salmon had an over powering balsamic reduction drizzled over it so much so she could not finish it. The complementary dessert and Baileys with our coffee was greatly appreciated. The service was good and we did enjoy our evening anniversary celebration.

Great service and nice decor but the menu is dated and the food is just okay. You will get a better meal and value at The Keg and The Keg is basically for people who have never eaten a good steak. The ceasar salad prepared at the table was awesome. The steaks were tasty but a bit tough. The veggie side that came with each meal came close to ruining the meal. Veggie sides should be tasty and look nice. These sides just took up space on the plate. The escargot appetizer was swimming in salty garlic soup. The Shrimp Golf was silly and made no sense. It was frozen prawns stewed in Ragu Sauce. Very disappointing. One meal (the kebabs) came with 5 lonely french fries while another came with a giant pile of fries. This betrays a careless kitchen. Also, I'm pretty sure those were oven fries and the server admitted that all the desserts were store bought. For the price charged ($350 including tip and tax for four people) there should be no pre-packaged or store bought items on the menu. At this price point I would expect everything to be fresh and homemade. We had the Turtle Pie and it was Superstore quality. If it was not for the service and the decor I would have given Golf's Steakhouse only one star.

Coming from out of town, I didn’t know if I should visit Golf’s or the Diplomat. By random selection, I popped into Diplomat. Over a glass of wine, I found the 1980’s elevator music soul crushing and had to leave- it was like a 40 minute Muzak version of the M*A*S*H theme. Anyway, once at Golf’s, Maria kindly put on the jazz mix and I had an experience. Flavorful food! A perfect ribsteak, not over-salted, and a top-notch Caesar dressing. Cozy atmosphere with modern updates and some classic touches like the fireplace and beautifully carved wood chairs. Best part is the people, committed to assuring you get exactly what you’re looking for. It’s a level of excellence rare these days. And I wasn’t the only one enjoying; you could hear people around the room buzzing about their experience, too.

An Iconic Restaurant in Regina. Beautiful decor, delicious food and fantastic service. Today I did take out and all the food still maintained the high standard they are known for. The front end was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I have dined there before and you definitely get your money's worth. I will be returning for in-house dining once Covid subsides a bit!

Honestly I didn't like this place. My steak was not cooked properly, the blue cheese topping was way to salty on top, the recook on my steak was done better but the wait was too long. I also felt that we were not served like everyone else. So as a visitor I probably would not go back.

I was looking forward to my visit after I was told that this was one of the better restaurants in Regina. I travel for work and have the opportunity to visit many restaurants and I can tell you that taste of the food was fairy the value and quality for the money was not to the level that I expected. If you are going to charge those prices then I would suggest that the owner or manager go and visit a few restaurants to gauge on value, quality and presentation. For example: if you order a shrimp cocktail and compare For $18 and you compare it to the $16 shrimp cocktails the Keg you would be disappointed in the size and taste of the Shrimp at Golf's. 5 shrimp in the 16-20 size range when for that price they really should be 8-12's. I also ordered the Peppercorn New York and the steak was tender but the presentation and the vegetables that I received were definitely not up to the level that you would expect. I gave this restaurant 2 starts on based on the service.

This is a must go to place!! If you haven't been here yet you're missing out. We came into the city for shopping and a night out and went to Golfs for dinner. It was a fantastic experience from the start. The staff here are great. Very friendly and helpful. Our server was Zoran, he did a great job and the interaction with him made our experience here that much better. The steaks were done perfectly to order and tasted amazing. Calamari and shrimp were great. Ceaser salad dressing was the best I've ever had. Great job to everyone at Golf's steak house!

I had not been here in a few years, and that was a mistake I will not make again! The food and service are amazing. Some service members are seasoned, and highly skilled. Some are learning. All are working hard. The menu is large, as is the wine menu! The Chateaubriand for 2 was scrumptious and delightfully served, and the creme brulee was perfect! The requested French wine was available, as well! It is a dark, cozy place. Good for conversation and a long dinner.

Showed up around 2:00 p.m. on a Thursday. They were sold out of the lunch special. Ordered an $18 prime rib sandwich. It was nearly blue rare. I wasn't asked how I'd like it cooked. The side salad was mediocre. For $18 it wasn't worth it. The $15 seafood sandwiches my family ordered weren't anything to rave home about either. Service was good. Very polite. No complaints. The decor is fashionable and modern. For being a "premium steak house" it just didn't meet my expectations. I'd give Golfs another shot for a steak but I expect to pay the price.

Zero stars would be way more fitting. Visiting Regina for the very first time for business. This place was near the hotel and after a super long day I was ready to treat myself to a nice solo dinner. I was seated I looked at the menu and chose a meal and the wine I wanted to order. 10 minutes went by and no one acknowledged my presence. I placed the closed menus at the edge of the table to further signal my readiness to order. One of the waitresses walked by and mouthed shed be right back and after serving salads to the other tables, she did not return. I waited and waited since there were a few larger table that seemed to have arrived at once and I get it, I'm not the only customer in the place. But after about 25 minutes of no one taking my order and the waitresses chatting at the cash register, I simply got up and left. I have never in my life been treated in such a way..... maybe I have to many visible tattoos, maybe I did not fit the scope of the seemingly exclusive clientele of middle aged, middle class white folks.... I can't comment on the food because I never actually got to taste it.... This place isn't worth your time or your money.

Probably the best Prime Rib I've ever had, and the peanut butter pie was worth every calorie! Staff was professional and efficient. Pleasant greeting and goodbyes when we arrived and left. Very impressed, service like that is rare these days. Also really enjoyed the modern but cozy interior - love the fireplace!

Went out for a nice dinner and was very disappointed, once our meal was served we never saw anyone, my steak was medium well and I asked for medium rare., our wine and water glasses were empty and no server. When I went to tell someone, they said they would make it better, when I got back to the table they had taken my plate away with 1/3 of the steak still there and brought us 1 cheesecake. Sorry they fell very short on all accounts and for a $209.50 dinner for two I felt taken.

The place was so cozy. The safety protocol of the resto due to pandemic was A-Ok. Though it's a steak house, I never try their steak. I ordered lamb shank and so delectable. All in all, places, services and foods, t'was a nice experienced and certainly will go back.

Nice/Fancy decor, but dated. Menu is dated, and heavy. Steak was very good, but at a high end restaurant the sides/salad should be very good as well, not just some blank steamed veg, and oily potatoes. Portion size was fine. They weren't bad, on a mid-range family restaurant scale, but not on a high end fine dining scale. Service was poor. We waited almost 45 minutes for drinks, and there was only 1 other table (albeit a group of about 10). It was clear the other table knew staff. But still, at a high end restaurant, with fine-dining prices, the service should be over the top. Lots of mention of it being expensive. I don't think it is expensive for a fine dining experience. It is on par with many other fine-dining prices, in Regina, and around the country. But with those prices, come higher expectations. While the steak is very good, and the decor is (arguably) classy, I would have to say this is the most overrated restaurant in Regina. Two stars may be harsh, I mean I would likely give Burger King 3-4 stars, but when you factor in expectations it's a 2. Disclaimer: it has been a year since I have been to Golf's, so a lot may have changed since then... though I doubt it, as you get the feeling when you go in, that nothing about it has changed in 30 years.

We sure wanted a good meal. Luckily we had a good conversation for the first 15 minutes till we got a water. Then another 15 minutes till they took a drink order. We'd been there 35 minutes when they took our food order. I mean we were having a great time despite being ignored. $70 steak and lobster From the Web: Is lobster supposed to be mushy? Tail texture – if you have cooked a frozen tail and it is mushy, ragged and disintegrating after cooking then it is bad. My lobster tail had about the same consistency of the mashed potatoes. I've eaten my fair share of lobster, this was the worst one I had. Ever. But we were dedicated to not letting the poor food ruin our even ing so although I did mention it, I wasn't expecting much. I was right. We got $14 off our $200 bill and a free drink. What was good? The fillet mignon that came with my meal I traded my gal for her T-bone. She enjoyed the fillet. I had a couple vodka paralyzers those were really good. The staff were friendly enough, but obviously invested in getting us to pay rather than to make us satisfied customers. Normally I would have made a big deal, but I figured a classy place like Golfs would take care of us. Not so much. Despite the poor service and the horrid food, we still had a good time.

I would have given 2.5, but not an option It was OK, no consistency in menu. I had prime rib sandwich and a side of salad soup was not included in my meal. My lunch partner had a burger and his meal came with soup and fries included, and it was cheaper. Other tables were served rolls and garlic toast, we were not offered any and there was no mention on the menu of that being offered. We had to ask for bill when server walked by.

Disappointed!! No fine dining as I seen online First we made a reservation online and received an email that confirmed our time, only to arrive to be told by the hostess that she had no time to look at online bookings, but could still have us. My new york steak had gristle right down the center. The soup which was suppose to be potato bacon tasted more like chicken rice (Tim Horton's makes a better potato bacon soup). My rum punch cocktail was made by no trained bartender. Neat place, but overpriced for sub-standard food. Not impressed.

Went for a dinner for two, great atmosphere and service. We had Chicken Neptune, which melted in the mouth, and peppercorn steak, also very good and not too spicy. Accompanied by fresh garlic toast and salads (home-made dressing) - a great experience.

Another fantastic experience. Great food, great service! Been here many many times. Never disappoints. My Wife and I took my Mom out for an Xmass dinner. My Mom mentioned to the waiter that her and my Father used to come every year at anniversary time, going back 50 years! He was polite and didn't just blow her off. He said it must have changed allot since you first started coming (and some other polite banter) Right there his tip went from 20% to 30%, for indulging her. He did not know, yet it was her 1st xmass without him and I guess she felt like sharing. Good on him for listing. Sure there are other high end restaurants (steak houses) in Regina, yet this place is a classic and a staple in the community. There are trendier places to go, yet Golf's is a staple and won't disappoint! Year after year.

This is by far one of our top 3 favorite restaurants, and #1 for steak. The filet mignon with Neptune.... to.die.for. I try going to other places, but they pale in comparison. I would like to see their Kid's menu revamped, as all the stuff my daugher has tried (mom and dad sampled as well of course) was definitely not really "kid" oriented. The kid's lasagna was super tomatoey, the steak was very dry and plain. Very disappointing for my daughter. I almost want to order off the Adult meno for her but I don't want to spend that much :\
