I wanted to share my experience with the campground at Nursery Golf & Country Club. In late June I reserved a spot for a one month stay, July 16th to August 16th. Due to some delays in my travel from BC, I had to change my reservation from July 23rd to August 23rd. When I called to make the change they were very accommodating and told me that those dated were indeed available to me. When I arrived to check in, my name was right there in their ledger book and had 'might stay for a month' in brackets below my name. The young lady checking me in asked if I was indeed staying for the month and I confirmed that I was and paid for the month in full. I arrived July 23rd and was scheduled to leave August 23rd and paid up in full. On August 17th, the office called me to ask what time I would be checking out...they told me that they had someone else moving into my spot that day and there were no other spots available in the RV park. I explained that I was not scheduled to leave until the 23rd and was paid to stay until that date. An argument began, and I was simply told that I had to leave as they had no other spots available and somehow this other reservation took precedent over my paid reservation. I was told by a gentleman across from me in a seasonal spot, that my spot along with 3 or more others had been reserved by his neighbor (also a season guest) for some friends of his arriving to golf there. I was very angry, very upset, and was given only a few hours to pack down my 40 foot 5th wheel and move out, with no vacancies available anywhere near me to go to, When I spoke with the manager on my way out, there was no apology, no ownership of their double booking mistake...they offered to put me into a dry camp spot and run an extension cord to me or give me my money back for the one week that they were forcing me out early. There were other problems but minor compared to this. Very unorganized establishment.
