Laid back course. Would rate higher but they only serve two drinks at a time and open them both for you. This leads to beer spilling all over the golf cart and warm flat beer. They claim this is the law and they have to follow it. Not sure why literally every other golf course in Alberta does not do this?

The course is very nice. It is quite forgiving for newer players. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the lack of a clubhouse. It is nice to have a restaurant to sit down at halfway or at the end. Overall a very nice course.

Decent course; however, for the first time playing ever and with the excessive covid restrictions (not allowed to be even 40 ft away) the warden wasn't very fair. I would wait until the restrictions are gone.

Premium price despite it being the first couple of weeks into the season. Bumpy greens and aerated fairways, for the price they charge, they may want to consider putting some of that revenue back into the course.

The new course sheriff they have there was sooo rude today my friend and I were taking longer than normal where I was teaching him how to play so naturally we were allowing players to play through ahead of us . they barely gave you five minutes between tee times and the “sherif” litterally drove down the fairway while I was searching for my ball throws another ball into the fairway as if to say come on hurry up and get out of here! I use to golf here twice a week with my son I left and didnt even finish my round! The old sheriff was so friendly and the staff use to be the only thing that kept us going back we will never come here again!!!

We had our company golf tournament at this course. The course was in good shape and had minimal elevation changes. This makes the course appealing for all different skill levels from beginner to scratch golfers. The practice putting greens were pretty good shape. You were allowed to chip onto them, which is nice, because that is rare for most courses these days. Staff were friendly and they were very accommodating for our company outing.

The course was good except the greens were recently aerated and not filled with sand or properly maintained. Wish we had known this before playing as it would have eliminated much frustration and we probably would have picked another course. Larry & Lynn - Edmonton.

Very uptight run course. Ok if your playing a 5 star level of course. This course is a bit pricey and in my opinion lower on the quality level.

Has everything you need for a nice round of golf. It's reasonably priced, nicely groomed course, great greens and the holes very in difficulty. My only complaint was the lack of a driving range. The have 2 nets that you can hit balls into but it's just not the same.

Pros: Grounds keepers have really improved this track over the years. Interesting and challenging layout/greens, it's fun to play, always see animals and many natural areas. Cons: It's expensive to play here. Staff always seems annoyed to serve drinks and generally aloof, there is no beverage cart. Condescending attitude from the marshal and pro shop staff over the last two years. Not my go to but once I'm on the course I can forget about the B.S.

A group of 4 of us golfed at Balmoral tonight. The staff were very friendly. The course was in good condition too. Thanks Balmoral! We will definitely be back.

Drove over an hour with a buddy to golf here only to be denied a power cart because neither of us have a credit card. Never had to do this at any course I've been to. When I asked if there was another way as in leaving my drivers license or trucks keys I was rudely told no. Drove down to riverbend and got a cart no issues, was treated with better customer service and golfed a much nicer course for the money. Wouldn't go to balmoral if you are younger person very uptight course for how low quality it is

If I could give this course less stars I would. Not very maintained at all and the staff treat you like a child if you’re less experienced. Marshall seemed to have it out for us as we’re not avid golfers and a bit younger. however were paying customers and should be treated the same as anyone else. Would not recommend ????????

The golf course might be decent but they treat their employees like absolute garbage. My 15 y/o worked 104 hours in 2 weeks without pay over 3 pay periods with the grounds crew!!! Never missed a single scheduled shift!! Not surprisingly… after working that amount has ended up sick with cold symptoms. After booking in for a COVID test we did the responsible thing and let his employer know that he would not be in for his shift in the morning via text as instructed to do. The reply we got was “this is absurd and you are fired”. Talk about absurd!!! I will never recommend this golf course. I will be sure to share this unbelievable treatment of their staff to everyone I know. And I will be sure to report this to the Employee Standards Committee!!

Hands down the worst course in central Alberta, easily. Not maintained at all, greens were like putting on carpet, so so bad. The craziest thing is they still charge as much as the good courses!! Do NOT waste your money.

We really enjoyed playing this course. People who work there are very friendly and the course was in a really good shape. Greens are in great shape but tough and that's what I like. My playing partner, who plays a lot of golf at various courses, enjoyed this course. I will play this again for sure. On a side note, if you are not friendly to people, they tend not to be friendly back. 5 out of 5.

Only played nine holes but no one in front of us or behind us. Nice afternoon. Oh but wasn't impressed that the beer cart girl drove right past us and didn't even stop and didn't see her again.
