Ok
Great golf course, fun for all levels, water shots and great scenery and wildlife! excellent staff.
The fairways and greens were well maintained. And the views paired with the sunset made for an good round. Pace of play with golf carts was really good if you’re not stuck waiting for someone in front. Great for experience and beginner golfers looking for a challenge
This is a great course. And they have an awesome pro Jamie is so great with the Juniors. If you want to golf with your youth come here and ask for Jamie! Great green fees and lessons from a pro!
Decent course good price
Saturday September 26 Tee off was for 2pm teed off at 2:45pm due to no Power carts, next no marshals on course, 4 some in front filled themselves with beer prior and during the round they drank own beer from outside plus had music blaring while playing.. Slow play plus hitting from back tees and weren’t any good.. Was getting dark after playing 5hrs for 16 holes left.. Course also not much to talk about lucky only paid $45 for two on under par!!!
Optimum grass Quality, Great Discounts in the shop, Great Food, absolutely nice people to golf with. 10/10
I can't say enough about this venue! Our daughter was married here and the entire experience was fantastic! The staff went over and above to make this day so special for all of us! The meal was amazing!
ົVery nice lay out friendly staff and we got a great deal from underpar, free range balls comes with it and free replay as well which was a bonus,we ended up playing 27holes with our 8some group.
This course is incredible. If you're a golf-loving resident of Niagara, you HAVE to experience this gem.
My uncle and I played yesterday at the Heron course and we were not happy from the beginning. My uncle and I live in separate house holds and we were not able to take two carts even though we got charged for two carts. Course was dried out, solid like a rock and there was a lot of misleading paths for carts that lead to dangerous bridges under construction that were not properly marked off. Unfortunately we will not be returning here again. Shop was not welcoming but the starter staff was great.
Great round today. Really fun, clean course.
Love it here
Course was in great shape !
Course was in great shape !
First time golfing at Cardinal Lakes. The staff was very friendly and helpful(Cass,Bill and pro shop). I recommend the homemade burger and fries...delicious. The course is in great shape! Will definitely return soon!
A challenging but doable coarse. I enjoy the wildlife. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Relaxed environment with a good blend of runs - would recommend!
Walked the Heron course Wide open but very challenging Greens are true and fast Played again recently ( cart this time) and the course needs some water. It was so dry the ground was very hard in spots and some tee boxes good luck trying to put the tee in! No beer person going around in a cart. So buy the beer before you tee off as you won't see the clubhouse until your done the round
Nice place, 9 hole option available. Nice patio onsite. My one complaint is that our cart died on the course and we had to walk the east of the course with all of our stuff. All we were offered was a rain check for half of the value of the cart rental.
In pretty good condition.
In pretty good condition.
Amazing evening with our family foursome. Very well kept course and friendly staff!
This is a fun course to play. Was very well groomed when we played.
As of June 2017, this course is not operating. Rumor has it, the bank owns it now. Going to have to find other good courses in the area to play in the mean time.
Played the shorter par 67 course and really enjoyed it. The greens were in great shape and the fairways were good. Played 18 holes in three hours and didn't have to wait at all.
Played the Heron course...It was a little wet this early in the season but looking like it's going to be in great shape this year. Staff in the club house were great, and in the restaurant the food and staff were awesome. I'd definitely visit again.
Little wet after the rain. Always a great place for golf.
Enjoyed another excellent dinner after golf. The new chef is making great meals! The special after ladies golf is good value and includes a glass of wine!! Well worth stopping in for a meal. The new menu looks appetizing. Looking forward to trying some of the other offerings.
I wish I could give this place a 0 star review. We booked a tee time 1 day prior and explicitly requested a cart due to an individual in our group having a disability that prevents him from walking excessively. We assumed since we made this request a day prior that it would not be an issue. However upon arrival we were denied a cart as it was a “first come, first serve” policy. This was never communicated to us when we booked the tee time. We won’t be coming back here again and we would strongly suggest you think twice before booking a tee time with Cardinal Lakes.
Excellent had a great time at the simulators.
Last summer we chose to play here for a yearly Boys golf group. Called a day ahead to get the latest deal offered from underpar, and asked them if we can play in two groups of 3 (as two had to go home early for family reasons)... BAD experience from tha parking lot onwards. When we checked in the deal was not offered as they said it was online only even though when booking on the phone it was promised. then we got to the starter and he said we werenot allowed to go in groups of 3 , and had to be a group of 4 and then a group of 2??? He Disliked us immediately and sent a group of 2 ahead of our time slot while we waited until it was sorted out, but they ensisted no groups of 3 (it wasnt busy at the course). Started the round on a nice 35+ degree day, and waited for a drinks cart allday, didnt get one as we apporached the 10th hole, so we called the clubhouse to ask if it was possible to get some bottles water or gatorade - they adivsed us that the drink carts were out already and we should see one. Finished the round, didnt see a drinks cart all day. Dehydrated and nearly fainting we left. Emailed the manager the next day, he touched base and said they have had some issues with volunteer staff and he was ready to offer a free round at one of their other courses to make up for the poor service and lies, He admitted that none of this should have happened, we have been Ghosted since then, ive emailed 3 more times since then before writing this, but no one from Cardinal has responded since. Shame, we were willing to take them up on the free round, and gave them a year to make due, but did not happen. Everyone seemed nice otherwise, Public paying players beware.
Fun !
Shorter but still challenging enough
2 nice courses, Greens usually very well maintained
Saturday September 26 Tee off was for 2pm teed off at 2:45pm due to no Power carts, next no marshals on course, 4 some in front filled themselves with beer prior and during the round they drank own beer from outside plus had music blaring while playing.. Great
Played the sparrow with seven par 3 nine par 4 and two par 5 make it a fun course! A good mix of hitting your driver and short/mid irons !
2 very nice courses. Heron is the more challenging. Sparrow is the prettier, and my preferred course.
Great condition, staff was excellent. No complaints and had a great day.
Good driving range
The golf course was okay. But the starter was super rude. When we walked up thirty mins early and asked for a cart, his answer was simply “no”. No explanation, no promise that a cart might become available as we were early and just gonna have a drink on the patio until our tee off. Then when we asked for pull carts, he pointed to them and walked away. We then sat on the patio and watched him give carts to every person that teed off before our tee time as well as all of the groups that teed off after us. Which made it very frustrating to then be a walking twosome keeping pace between all the carts. There was also only a beverage cart that we saw once as noted in another review. She was servicing all of the courses. The rudeness and lack of ability to book a cart just made the whole round not enjoyable. I wouldn’t go back and I’m positive there are better options in the area.
Great golf course. Surprisingly fast greens.
Great Courses!
Great course, GOOD rates, carts are awesome if needed and not very expensive either. Super people run the BEAUTIFUL course!
Great course for groups and having a relaxed round. Little busy but it was Saturday morning when we played. Some areas that need some repair but a fun course overall for the average joe
Good condition
Greens roll true and smooth. Good job!
Perfect wedding venue! The entire team at Cardinal Lakes put on the most beautiful day for us. Special thank you to our coordinator Cassandra who made every single request we made seem like no big deal and made the entire process very smooth and did a lot to ease our stress and help with all of the fine details! The meal was wonderful and we had guests commenting on the food all night and afterwards.
Beautiful course, friendly staff.
Excellent
Well kept tee box area. The fairways are tidy and the greens are challanging I played both heron and sparrow. And enjoyed them. I would have given a better review. But they rip you off for cart fees.
Fairways are great, greens are perfect and workers are very friendly. You only have to remember to stay clear of water and sand.
Had a great day on the course today with friends. The Fairways were beautiful and the greens rolled nicely and were challenging. The staff were pleasant to be around as well as the other golf groups. Will be going again forsure.
I got a couple of deals online for this course. It’s not near me but it was well worth the drive. The course is well maintained and very well organised! We played 18 and walked the course. Not to hilly but still challenging! Can’t wait to go back!!
Went with my brother, the course was great. A bit high of a price but the nail in the coffin for me was the rude starter. A bit of an older gentlemen but none the less, paying 134$ for 18 with a cart to be spoken to like a child. I much rather take my business to Pelham hills or even Waterpark, better prices and a much friendlier staff. If you dont make your golfers feel welcomed, then you won't have people come back. Cart girl was amazing though, just the guy that hands out the keys was cranky.
First time playing there. Wasn't a bad course.
We love the Sparrow course. Shorter, with interesting holes, it is a fun track that can be played in less than 4 hours.
First time at this coarse and I must say I was really impressed with it. Decently priced, nicely layed out was the Sparrow coarse. Will definitely be back next season
Course is in excellent condition. A fun night out
Its adequate
Fun course! Short with alot of cool par 3s and dog legs. Great condition. Greens and fairways were very nice! Good price too!
Nice course..staff we helpful and friendly
An enjoyable and fun course.
An enjoyable and fun course.
Don't bother calling-they don't answer and it doesn't go to voicemail. You have to wait for carts which are not sanitized and the COVID separators are dirty and unsecured. After the round and a 10 minute wait for service we left.
It was a nice day
Course was in nice shape
Nice & beautiful course in welland. Also staffs were so kind❤ Really had a good memory there.
Course is really nice. Golf-wise, fantastic. Major gripe is that at the turn, you do not return to the clubhouse. Very strange, only course I have ever played where you go from 9 to 10 without being anywhere near the clubhouse. Makes buying drinks or food at the turn impossible. Other than that, really great course.
Course is in good condition
So great to be able to social distance and get to play golf!
Golf the small course across the street and found it great to golf. Greens where in great shape and fairways where clean maintained excellently. GREAT JOB.
This is a great golf club. They are very nice people and they have two 18 hole courses; the heron and the sparrow. The sparrow is a shorter course and us designed more for beginners. The heron is a bit longer and is a bit harder. Both courses are maintained very well, with all the bunkers nicely groomed and the greens nicely cut. The prices are very fair and are very competitive with other golf clubs in the region. Finally the main building has a bar and servrs very good food. All in all, Cardinal Lakes is a great golf club and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good golf club in the niagara region.
Nice golf,good greens
Been at this course before directions perfect and the course excellent, great great conditions major value for the money.
I play about 80 rounds per year and many courses. This course (Sparrow Lakes) was the worst golf experience I've ever had. The course is a wreck. Most holes had brown patches of dirt and dead sod for often hundreds of feet, most tee boxes were awful and in the blazing heat I couldn't find a beer cart until I'd already walked seven holes. Will never go back to this course.
Clean berry nice people nice too
Great day on the Sparrow Course. We don't normally golf and dine but tonight the Fish n Chip special caught our eye.Whoever is the cook needs to be commended big time. The meal was awesome...fish baked not fried, presentation on mark and fries tossed in a light spice. As was one of our first post covid nites out the dinner made the day complete.Thsnk you
This was the worst golfing experience I have ever had. Wouldn't allow carts. No reason for it, just ask golfers to stay on the path. No drink cart . Half way house ran out of water in the morning. What a joke.
Greens in good condition!
Great Golf course, friendly membership, 2 18 hole tracks both challenging in their own way. Well manicure and fast greens
Nice coarse.. friendly staff.
To many water hazards
Golfed the shorter Par 67 Sparrow on the weekend. It had rained a lot the night before. The drainage of the course is not great. Lots of puddles especially in the bunkers. As for the course, I would guess that the signature hole is the par 5 seventh. A beautiful dogleg left with water along most of the left side. I also enjoyed playing the back to back par 3s on the 11th and 12th holes. The most interesting feature of this 18 was that the 12th and 15th had adjoining greens. My son and I putted from one green to the other for fun.
Place is in great shape, and I will go back again.
Let me preface this feedback by saying , that I have always enjoyed cardinal lakes, both Heron and sparrow But..... I had booked a 430 tee time on the phone with the club house two days prior as I had the previous week and earlier in the summer. Two golfers... 18... Was asked with or without a cart... I said definitely with, as my golfing partner that day needed it and it was looking at being 28 degrees. We arrived at the course after a 32 minute commute for myself, only to be told that there were no carts going out anymore and that any that come in will be directly put on a charger for the night. I explained that I had booked a cart with my tee time and wasn't told that there may be a chance that there wouldn't be one. I was told to check with the starter. The starter told me to check inside. A viscous circle of its not my fault. I explained that if you had warned me, I'd understand but nothing was said at booking and I had been there at that time previously this summer. Had to go to ANOTHER course down the street in order to play a round. Poor communication .. Poor handling of a guest... Rant complete
Cardinal Lakes hosted Niagara Regional Broadband Network's "mini golf tournament" on June 14, 2019. We had an amazing time! Cass was wonderful to work with & helped us customize the right menu for our group as well as choose which course would best suit our skill level. Course was in great condition and the food was amazing. Our staff is still talking about it on Monday! We will definitely be back!!
Nice track
Good value for a good price
Good fun
Today is the first time I played at Heron , very nicely maintained, excellent condition in fairway and greens. I like it.
Excellent gold course. We'll be back for sure
Good course with great values. It is fantastic conditions would play there again
First time played at Heron today. Beautiful golf course and very well maintained green and fairway. Staff (Cullum and Albert) are courteous and welcoming. We stayed for dinner in the club house after 18 holes. Delicious food and attentive waitresses. Will definitely go back again.
(Translated) Nice golf course, moderate difficulty. (Original) 不錯的高爾夫球場,中度困難度。
Excellent facilities. Nice course. Definitely would come back
Nice course good prices online specials.
A great course started off here agn for the first round course is in exceptional condition and the staff were so nice thanks cardinal lakes will definitely be back again
Good challenging course.
Good size golf course. Staff was nice. The course has little to no shade and only has 1 beverage cart for the 36 holes on the course
