A very pretty course with nice views of Ottawa's skyline from the 2 or 3 holes that border the Ottawa River. The greens were in bad shape in 2020 so hopefully they have been repaired. Condos have been encroaching onto to some of the holes but that is called progress.

Great hotel out of city noise. Can really relax, drink smoothy in the morning and use the immense gym in the evening. One downside is they don't offer the simplicity to connect a laptop to the tv via HDMI. They will tell you it's not possible but you just have to disconnect the phone line in the back. Another issue which is not their fault is the taxi situation: they take forever to arrive and they don't care who gets in so you may lose it.

I was there for the golf course last Sunday. It was a beautiful day for playing. However, the marshal ruined everything. My boyfriend took a photo for me while I was playing. He was just standing next to me, taking a photo quietly without disturbing anybody else’s playing. Suddenly, the marshal started YELLING at us “you do this again and I am getting you out of the course!” FOR MORE THAN FIVE TIMES in front of everybody. After my boyfriend went back to the club car from the green, the marshal still pointed a finger at him and shouted at him REPEATEDLY. Another group behind us even heard his shouting. We felt so embarrassed and insulted at that moment. Never felt so embarrassed in my entire life. Whatever it’s our fault or not, why didn’t you come to talk to us in a polite way? Is this the way you treat your customers? Is this the way you show your respect to a human being? WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE, YVON HENRI??? He ruined all our good mood so that we had to quit in the middle of the course. I have to say that it was a worst decision that I went to talk to him at the end. I said “I want to talk through the things that I felt not happy with your service today.” He said “You think I am happy with you?” WHAT THE HELL?? AGAIN!! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE, YVON HENRI?? Obviously, the little talk didn’t go well and it ended up with a quarrel. Thanks to you, Yvon Henri. You brought me the first quarrel in a public in my life. I started crying after the quarrel when I got inside my car. I really cannot understand why I deserved to be treated like this??? What I was paying this course for??? For me, it was not only a worst experience ever, but also a nightmare.

I'm not sure why people are giving this place a 1 star rating. This is a really nice course with a fun layout and the conditions are decent. With that said, hole 5 is unplayable. The green is completely dead. But for the price though, I'd definitely play this course again.

This review is for the Double-tree by Hilton at the golf course. This is a very affordable place to stay in Gatiineau. The rooms are very large and comfortable and the breakfast provides many cooked-to-order options. The highlight is the fitness center. It is by far the best hotel fitness center I have every been to. Free weights, Nautilus style machines, and plenty of aerobic options.

Really a great value for what you get. The course is well maintained and if you're only an average golfer like myself, this course is forgiving which allows you to play even poor shots back into play. The holes right on the Ottawa River are beautiful. Definitely will be going back again.

Yesterday, I was to have a celebratory birthday round of golf at this course. As we began to play through, it was clear that the course was in terrible shape and we were told (after we called) the cold winter and spring flooding did not treat the course well. Holes 5;6;and 7 were unplayable. To make matters worse we were forced to avoid bird droppings on the fairways and on the greens. Were maintenance staff taking care of this? Nope. The priority was to cut the grass during our play and engage sprinklers on the back nine while we were attempting to play through! Had we been told the condition of the course at the beginning, we may have gone acrosss the road or elsewhere. What I cannot understand is why course management wouldn’t explain the conditions and offer a discount. A very unpleasant experience......

I found it beautiful, in good condition, its difficulty is perfect in my opinion, the par seems to be quite reasonable compared to other. Generally, the terrain is fairly flat at fairway level, which makes the game easier. The field offers a good shot, is clear and allows you to find your ball quite easily unless you are really in trouble. I had a great time on this pitch and tried a lot. Je l’ai trouvé beau, en belle condition, sa difficulté est parfaite à mon avis, les par semble être assez raisonnable comparé à d’autre. En règle générale, le relief est asser plat au niveau des fairway, ce qui rends le jeu plus facile. Le terrain offre de belle prise de vue, est dégagé et permet de trouver sa balle assez facilement à moins d’être vraiment dans le trouble. J’ai passé un excellent moment sur ce terrain et j’en ai essayé beaucoup.

Super close to downtown. IF you want a quick round, try getting there first thing. I played at 6:30 and was done at 9:30! Nice layout although I find it odd to start out on a par 3. Aside from that though, the greens are great and they keep the rough and weeds under control, which means fewer lost balls. Look for deals online or with Groupon.

Service at the front desk was short and rude. The tee off times felt like they were 2 minutes apart. At one point there were 4 groups waiting at 1 tee box. Hitting off the fairways felt like hitting off cement. The greens were bad. Only time I saw the cart girl was on the 1st hole. Called the front desk twice to ask about it didn't even get through. Feels like Chateau is turning into Champlain. Absolutely zero course maintenance. It's a shame. It used to be a great spot.

This is my second time playing here and an equally bad experience as the first. If you're looking to play in the Ottawa Gatineau core you are much better off at Pineview, they are taking care of their championship course much better and it's less expensive.

Not in great shape. Very dry and beat up in places. Some of the holes by the river are so full of Canada Geese that you can't even putt. A lot of geese poop around. Outrageous charge for a cart 30.00 dollars. More than the charge for golfing. We hadn't golfed here in 2 years and we found it very overgrown.

Nice place with big rooms. Breakfast/food options are standard for Hilton. The location is a bit away from Ottawa with traffic but easy drive of 20-45 minutes. Hotel has about half channels in French and some American channels out of Detroit. Food market was kind of slim pickings.

Worst experience ever!. I was nearly forced out of the course by the marshal. I was taking a photo for my girlfriend while she was playing. Then the marshal came over, pointed a finger at me and yelled" you do this again and I am getting you out of the course". I asked why. He said no time for photo, there were 5 groups behind us and this place is only for golf, not for photo. The fact is we were also waiting for the group ahead of us and only my girlfriend was playing and I was taking one photo on the side. He didn't go to yell at the group ahead of us.Then I figured because they are native people who speak french and we look like Asian. So it's all about racist and discrimination. After all, we learn a lesson: no photo on golf course.

Service at front desk was confusing and well below par. The course was in the worst condition I have ever seen. Definitely the worst course in the Ottawa and surrounding areas. Tee boxes, greens, fairways are all in atrocious condition. Sand traps weren't terrible though. Looks like not a soul that plays there fixes divots, or doesn't care to fix divots seeing the conditions already. Won't play again.

Quelle ne fût pas ma déception de voir que malgré le fait qu'on ne pouvait pas réserver de table,une l'était face au stage pour 4 personnes qui sont arrivés 45 minutes après nous et avec leurssss consommations excessives n'ont cessés de parler à voix haute . Ma voisine de table les a avertis ainsi que moi même jusqu'à ce que Geneviève avertisse la cuisine pour sa chanson finale de garder le silence pour 4 minutes avant de la recommencer et que je lance à l'audience que tous devrait respecter cette directive car j'j'ai dû aller avertir une autre table de baisser le ton. Malgré l'avertissement de la chanteuse pendant sa dernière chanson, on a entendu une employée de la cuisine dire qu' elle était en tabarnac à 2 reprises ,WOW Quelle n'a pas été la déception de la majorité de la salle, je peux juste imaginer celle de Geneviève. Il est clair qu'il manquait de personnel à votre soirée qui était supposé être spéciale pour les amoureux et vous devriez éviter d'imposer ces services à vos employes qui étaient à la course et ont donner du 150/100 mais surtout au nom La Ferme Rouge.

Good course for the price, but weird layout. Par 70 course and you never get too close to the clubhouse unless you're on 1 or 18. Not always a problem, but when you only see the beer cart twice in one round (course was not busy) and they don't even stop, it's a problem. Even tried waving her down as I lined up a putt, she waved back, I took my putt, looked up and she gone!

Pretty brutal course. Worst 18 hole course I’ve played in the last decade. Easy. Very very slow greens and tees are none existent. You see more dry dirt then green for fairways and around the greens. Do yourself a favour and find one of the many many better courses in Ottawa. Give it a 2 stars instead of 1 because of the very nice staff and cart girl.

I was very underwhelmed by this course. The fairways and tee boxes were in terrible condition, and the large sprinklers remained on throughout our round. This meant that we had to dodge the fairway sprinklers on multiple holes. I can’t understand why on a Sunday morning at prime time they would have so many sprinklers on. The course itself just seemed very run down. There are much better golf options in the Ottawa/Gatineau area in my opinion.

We actually were at LA FERME ROUGE restaurant last saturday and what a disappointment it was re: food! Especially the filet mignon that was smelling and tasting horrible...4 people out of 9 had ordered the same thing and all of us thought the same and returned our plates. They appologized and brought us new filet mignon BUT got to the same results!! Our very wonderful, super attentive and talented singer/waiter Daniel offered us to help ourselves to the buffet to compensate which was ok. In my honest opinion the food was definetely much better a year ago when we went then and certainely less expensive. Now it is very pricy + they have an extra charge of $5 per person for the show. The entertainment, singing, dancing is WOW! Thank goodness....

It was really beautiful, very welcoming, beautiful rooms, price was a little bit much for the amount of time we stay there, but i could go back there, a other problem i had was bing awake by construction at 7 in the morning, thy where working on the Chateau, it was disturbing after coming from a wedding, did not enjoyed that moment, and will always remember bing stuck in the elevator for 15 minutes whit my family, i am not angry at that, elevator don't scare me but i got to see sides of others lol
