This Golf is classified in the category of Golf course.
Being a GolfNow member, you can NEVER EVER go off before your teetime (not even a minute!). Regardless, Chino was challenging today. Didn't remember it being so narrow off several of the tees. Greens were nice but didn't put true. All in all a good course!
The course is a fair test and the greens putt really true. Course conditions are good. I would play here again.
Had so much fun to practice again after many years of not playing. Brought my dad and got his the senior discount for the whole year. Will come back again.
Good for the price. Feel like it could be better maintained
I really like this course
The greens were prestine, but the course rough, fairways and traps need work!!!
Nice course, wide open fairways, average prices. The food how ever was very good.
Good price for a round of golf.
My brother and I really like this course and at$28 a round, it's hard to beat
Two 18 hole courses there the one we played on the fairways were bare not alot of grass but it was challenging
Greens and fairways are in very good shape. We will play it again.
Lovely grass driving range with 2 friendly courses.
Great course, staff friendly and bar if interested
Two decent courses for the moderate golfing world. Wide , good size, all grass
Course is in great shape.
Play your winter gol here. Fun but challenging and it's in good shape.
Course is okay. And over price
Good prices greens a little spongy fairways thick but overall a good public golf course
I play Butterfield all the time. The course is in excellent shape. I can play (walking) in three hours during the week. The rate is very affordable. The staff is always nice and the Bev Cart Girl Sarah is AWESOME!. Give the course a try - you will not be disappointed!
Busy ( at 730 am)....the course is very clean... And the greens, very fast... I had a great time.... I'll be back again very soon...
Liked the course. Fairways were nice & the greens well kept. I'd play it again.
Had a really good time here. It's a great executive course. It's flat and the fairways are long. Also, the greens are in great shape.
First time there. Will go back for sure.
I really like this place Green always good Great place to shot the ball
We had the opportunity to play Foot Golf today. It was a new experience for us, and was a lot of fun! The man at the counter gave us instructions and was very polite. Suggestions: replace the flags with a different color. They are beige. When playing, they blend in with the surroundings and is difficult to see. While it was a Sunday afternoon, it would have been great to have a beverage cart available, even if someone just came by once to offer water and/or snacks for purchase. But the course was nice, and we had a good time!
If you like constantly Hippelates gnats attacking and being in your face, eyes, and ears then Prado's for you. These pesky insects can be controlled, but management seems not to care.. Otherwise, a mediocre course.
The staff is very professional. The pro is an excellent coach. The manager Lisa and her employees love working for her.. She's a sweetheart. Love this course !!!
Not the greatest course in Chino Hills but it is definitely a step up from green river. Played the Butterfield side. Tiny greens, shorter course. Lots of shorter par 4s. Decently maintained.
It's been about 35 years since I've played there but it was one of my favorites. Shot the best score of my life there.
BUTTERFIELD side is my home course u can say....solid 6 out of 10 course ...with a bit of a smell...lol
Great place to go golfing if looking for a quick, cheap easy round of golf (Very easy to get a tee time). Not as great if your looking for challenging course thats more well kept. located
Great twilight hour rate! (With cart). Had a blast. Will come back again.
Course is in okay shape. Greens were good but for some reason nobody fixes their divot marks on the greens at this course. There is lots of crabgrass if you're not in the Fairway it's definitely difficult to hit good shots.
Great weekday price. Played the Butterfield course in under 4 hrs. Good fun round of golf.
Can't beat the price.
Very nice people and good driving range have not been on the green yet but soon
Average price. Two 18-hole golf courses. With large driving range, always hitting from grass. Three good sizes chipping and putting green. Even has a Foot golf course.
Great Foot Golf Course. No wait at all
Lovely range it is on grass which is perfect if that's what you like that's my preference. It's a great course to play I have two sides which is really nice competitive play great players staff is excellent as well recommended highly.
Golf course is in descent shape at best. You get what you pay for. Good pricing to play considering they have 2 18 hole courses. Hardly ever a wait. Golf recently and there was no hitting line set up for driving range. Where do you hit from? Anywhere? Golf shop is not even a golf shop. They sell a couple shirts and drinks. No golf balls and golf gloves to purchase. What course doesn't sell at least that. For $50 on a Saturday or is less than most places but at least have some better accommodations for tour customers.
Nice golf course long course fun
Like the course. Food and drinks are reasonable and good. Like to play darts and they have dart boards. Will return and play golf again and maybe go to shooting range down the road after. Can't get any better than that!!
Good greens. Some rough patches on fairway...overall enjoyed the round
I would give this course negative stars of possible. The pro shop folks were definitely very nice but the course was just in horrible shape. I understand we are in a drought but there is no excuse for the fairway conditions. It felt as if we were hitting straight off of concrete. Dirt flying up with each swing. Don't even get me started on the sand traps or the horrible sewage smell. Other factor that made the experience even worse was the price $42 on a discount for a course in this condition is just outrageous. I will never play here ever again, unless of course it was 100% remodeled.
Easy pace of play on Butterfield. Not at all congested. Great price for 18 holes.
Why does this entire course smell like actual cow dookie
It is a challenging golf course nice greens over all its a nice course
Golf course is in good shape, they know what they are doing. Good job....
Fun open courses. 36 holes here. People that work here are kind and helpful. Fun little bar for a couple cocktails after the round. Range is grass and there are a few putting greens. Can get busy on weekends but for a good price, close by, fun, quick round it's perfect during the week.
Tees are consistently rough. Fairways are better and greens are better still. But it doesn't compete with other tracks in the area. 2 18s make it easy to get on. Traps are pebble-y. Good 19th hole, sandwich bar and parking. Crew is hands off and on a hot day they need 2 beverage carts running which wasn't the case.
Good course for beginners and larger handicaps. Lots of open space which is good if you lose a lot of balls!
Beautiful day for golf???? but terrible day of golf.????
Great golf course and friendly staff
Slow.
Great course to walk or ride. There are two 18 hole courses. Chino creek is a little more challenging, but both are fair courses. I like the driving range which is on real grass!
Nice course but the Nats were crazy.
Good course, some greens need work but overall a good deal
We held our company sports event and the management were very accommodating and offered us with a deeply discounted use of their facilities and equipment. Everyone from our company had a truly memorable experience. Thanks for a very successful event El Prado Golf Course!
Love this place, decent prices, decent courses and great staff
Slow play called the pro shop and asked if they would send someone out to speed things up. They sead they would send someone out but they never did. We encountered an employee mowing the fairways that wouldn't get out of our way until he finished! I will find another course to play.
The course is in decent condition but the pace is usually slow. Expect a bit long wait times on most of the holes in weekend
Disclaimer: I am a beginner... so please take this with a grain of salt. And since I'm a beginner, I won't rate the course itself, but the environment, staff and amenities are exactly what a golfer needs (beginner or not)... Bar/Lounge Great size, old-school lounge. Pleasant bartenders. Good drinks. Lots of regulars but everyone is friendly. Range Grass range. Wide and long. Just don't go in the mid-morning the sun will be right in your drive path. Very easy to lose your balls in the sun. Perfect place for an afternoon session. Club house Friendly-staff. Totally willing to help a newbie out. Just gotta be respectful. Fair prices. Not a lot of variety in terms of gear (but you shouldn't be buying your gear at the club house anyways) Experience And last but not least... actually lets get real, it's my favorite part of playing this course... the BEER CART!! Thursday - Sunday you'll find a friendly-staff member slanging beers and shots from hole to hole. You can usually catch them early in your game and arrange for them to meet you on any other hole. They'll also put beers in a bag of ice if you want! Other courses may have this, but staff-friendliness can not be beaten here!
Go early or late afternoon golf. If it's summer time avoid any other time.
Beautiful golf course. Friendly staff
Course is playing great.....green fees are low and the staff is awesome. Best bang for your buck in the I.E
Great team of Golf Professionals here, I love how big the driving range is and that they hit off of grass everyday.
Fairways are in bad shape, lots of dirt and dead grass, long time player here but probably not anymore until its in better shape.
Art at the golf shop was great. My daughter plays for her high school and wanted to get to practice on the driving range. Beautiful Sunday morning!
First time visiting there, a decent layout that is very walkable, nice to know when it's not 90+ degrees. Will visit the sister course next time to get the full picture of all 36 holes.
Great golf course , breakfast sandwiches and double cheese burgers with bacon for lunch
A modest golf course
El Prado is an outstanding venue for junior golfers.
Decent facility. Nothing special however there’s zero signs between holes. And they cross over a street but there’s zero direction on where to go between I think it was hole 7-8 on the butterfield ranch course. Still not sure if we crossed …
I didn't play but was just there to witness and open a benefits tournament with a prayer. The course seems nice. There are plenty of parking. And the young attendance was very helpful.
Greens were way to firm. Course was in OK shape bunkers were a little hard price is decent
Love El Prado, just a peaceful golf course that requires every shot in your Golf Bag...
It is little far from DTLA but worth to make travel. Crews are friendly and courses are well maintained. I would say some courses are not easy but very interesting. We had a fun. Thank you all.
Course is in really good shape. Nothing but positive comments from our group.
I am a US Citizen and met a racist here. Foursome ahead of me, they did spend enough like 15 minutes to find out the balls on fairway of 9th hole, and came back to tee box to do tee shot again without saying any word, 2 teams were waiting at the tee box... We asked them to speed up since they did not allow us to pass them, I believe at least 2 holes should be empty ahead of them. Surprisingly, one of them shouted 'This is our country, I can do anything what I want.' Another one said 'This is A tournament.' I complained the situation at Pro shop, and was told they were in the tournament of El Prado's Men's Club. I really hated to play again here by rain check for rest 9 holes later, got a 50% refund. Overall status of the course, definitely not worth of $50. The Men's Club players did park cart even fringe of green.
Greens are in great shape... And there's a premium on hitting the Fairway
This is a nice local spot where you can play at a very reasonable cost. It would be nice if they added a few amenities. It would also be nice to be able to buy an adult beverage other than beer before the bar opens.
~ Chino Creek course had some rough tee box conditions and rough greens ~ Fairways were decent, but occasionally there were areas of open pockets below the grass ~ Greens ran nicely as long as there was grass on the green ~ Last hole plays as a 5 for women ~ Butterfield Stage course is in slightly nicer condition ~ Butterfield is much more open for fades and draws
One of the most scenic courses I have ever played. Difficult course even with the seemingly short distance. A ton of fun to play even though it is difficult (for a golfer who shoots around 100)
Nice course, wide open !!!
Totally love it here people are awesome and super sociable. Very welcoming and not too pricey at all
Nice, clean and well maintained course.
It shouldn't be open. There are no fairways, no maintenance at all, mostly dirt and expensive compared to other similar courses in the area. It's the worst course I've ever seen
This is a hidden gem for SoCal golf. I hadn't played here until a few months ago but I have been back 4 times. Fun and challenging but not to punishing. Greens are nice and the fairways are decent. Only 4/5 stars because it just isn't a five star course like some of its newer neighbors. But for $40 with a cart it is well worth checking out.
Too many flies and stinks.
Great price. 1 star taken away for water treatment sewer smell on Butterfield and constant gun shot noise from the nearby shooting range on Chino Creek.
chino creek course is poorly maintained. Fairways barely kept up and grass is smoked in most places. Huge disturbing power lines buzzing lol kind of scary. Gunshots from local range had me concerned and I found it difficult to relax and enjoy the round. 40 bucks and I didn’t finish. I probably would avoid this place not a peaceful environment and very overpriced for other local options. Staff was friendly though. I played butterfield course last year very unimpressive. Just not worth the money with other options available. Peace
There are two courses here and they are both decent to good looking. Played a few rounds here and it was fun. Need to start serving beer on the course earlier for people with 6am tee times. Just a suggestion for the early morning golfers that need a little jump start. Overall these courses are great for groups.
I've never seen this place get too crowded so it's a great place to play a quick round at a cheap rate, but both courses are in bad shape. The greens are in poor condition. Most are too soft and slow, which is surprising considering how hot it's been. There were a few greens that had brown patches with no grass on them. The carts are very old and ride rough, especially on the bumpy dirt cart paths. I got a bunch of dings and bag wear on my clubs after playing a few holes here. I'm tempted to just walk next time as both courses are walkable. The range is all grass and the balls are actually in pretty good shape, as well as the two practice putting greens. Pro shop is woefully understocked.
Well groomed, challenging without being overwhelming. Great staff. Nicely forested fairways. Found a great deal on line. ($19 bucks)
It's my home course so I'm bias. Always love playing here
Enjoy coming here. Chino creek course for those who want to test their skills. Butterfield for the rest of us.
It's fun, lots of walking, about 2 miles, so beware with smaller kids. Bring some water and snacks!!!
It was okay. It's pretty hot there already.
Bunkers are in horrible condition. Greens are in good shape but fairways are patchy.
Layout was better than expected. Great distance even for a 72 par course. The conditions are really good. Not much fallen leaves. It may be out of management's hands, but this time the area smelled like sewage and on other side of back 9 smelled like manure as there were piles here and there off the boundaries of a few holes. Still, wasn't like this on Chino Creek course and would still play again on Butterfield even knowing it may smell, especially if I can get at a good price around $20 with cart included. Some do walk so slows pace down.
Pace of play was great. Conditions were above average. Friendly staff. First time I had played here in 15 years. Will be back again much sooner than that!
No cows, but golfers that move like cows. 5 hour round on Butterfield.
First time for VW car show very clean park definitely coming back ..
It is a good golf course and staffs are friendly. Prices are also reasonable.
Pass good time with my friends.
I golf here a ton. The course has it's ups and downs. The footgolf course is pretty irritating. Range balls on certain holes can be very frustrating. Over all it's a challenging little course and is usually pretty affordable.
Good times with some friends. Enjoyed the game. Fair ways are adverage m
Great prices friendly staff and Good Greens..Game usually run smoothly with verry little back-up.
Good layout. Some nice holes. Fairways and greens are in bad shape
Course in pretty good shape considering the amount of rain we have lately. The desk man and cart girl were very friendly. The special price of twenty two apiece from under par was very good.
I still can’t believe this place is still here! Had my first job here back in the day while attending chino hills high! Memories, memories.
Nice course. Friendly staff. Challenging for me. I'm a high handicapper
Fun course for the price. Greens are decent. They have two 18 holes courses here.
Definitely bang for buck course . Can get messy , muddy and smelly. Not the most welcoming course with the high voltage lines but still like it.
Chino creek is the best course for slightly better than amateur.
We held a charity golf tournament here in May 2016. As the Co-Chair of the tournament, I was VERY pleased with the course PGA professional. He was helpful, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about golf/golf tournaments. The banquet/catering person was quite the opposite the day of the tournament. This was my first interaction with her and I found her to be argumentative and not at all accommodating with my tournament Co-Chair. I observed the situation for a time, and when I approached her in an attempt to diffuse the situation, she made a nasty comment and walked away from me. I thought this to be beyond unprofessional!!! Although the set-up was prearranged, the tournament volunteers ended up moving and re-setting up most of the player check-in area and banquet room just before the golfers arrived!!! It was a frustration we didn't need or deserve. Despite the banquet/catering staff issue upon arrival, the PGA professional was fabulous assisting with the course setup, hole signage, and contests.
Long good greens nice place
Nice disc golf course. Beautiful park setting with lake. Only negative is that the water is pretty green and murky.
Excellent customer service. Friendly environment. Nice course to play
I like this place. It’s a good value. My friend Joe and I really like it here.
This post is directed at the driving range. The courses are nice for the price. The driving range is enjoyable but they close at 5 and won't let you finish your bucket even though you paid for it. They count down 30, 20, 15, 10, 5 minutes left rushing you through you bucket with 2 hours of light left. Ridiculous.
Course was ok! Food descent! Bartender Lauren was excellent great personality
Great place to play foot golf!
Local hot spot
Great place to play! Employees as well as the players out on the green were AWESOME! Making everything as easy as possible the first time my brother and I played!(BEGINNERS)
Looks nice from the road. Did not have the hours to drive further but parked next to the golf course to get some sleep.
Just played Butterfield...the course is in good condition. Fairways can be a bit sparse at some points but for the price you can't beat it.
Ok course, a lot of dirt trails no directions on holes , no signs not sure about paying close to 60 dollars for this place a couple of holes have power lines that are in the way , and a bad smell on the butterfield course
Course is in the worst shape I have ever seen and not worth $54 any day of the week!
Easy course. They allow 5 people group which slow everyone else.
Nice course for the price. Just a little bit far from Irvine and very hot in Summer. I think this is a great course play in the winter.
They have 2 courses. We played the back one. The course is pretty nice and has lots of water challenges. The staff is super nice.
The golf course is in remarkable condition considering all that went through last year. The fairways were very good considering other golf courses with green colored hard pan.
Absolutely horrible Golf Course the cart path are dirt mud green are horrible Fairways are horrible I wouldn't play it for $10
Local, reasonably priced, along with multiple practice putting greens and driving range.
This is an older course with 2 eighteens, Chino Creek and Butterfield Stage. Chino is the longer layout, both courses need more maintenance than they're getting. The golf shop is a glorified starters shack with no merchandise, just check in and pay. They do have a 19th hole.
Amazing golf course.. Banquet halls are beautiful as well. Friendly staff, overall a great place
Two 18 hole courses, reasonable rates, easy to get a tee time.
Was very windy when I played a few days ago!
Awesome courses!! Staff and service was excellent!!
Horrible place. Avoid this place. The course is run by terrible staff including a fat marshal who openly harrasses anyone who is not white. Worst golfing experience. We complained to proshop but the starter was no different than the marshal. Never going back here.
For the price. You cannot beat this place. The Chino Golf Course is by far the better of the two. It's even harder than Glen Ivy.
Local muni course with the local muni problems. Tee boxes uneven, fairways more like cow pastures but the greens were puttable. Long enough to test the long hitters.
It's not the best course in the area. But the price is right. Only $28 to walk at twilight (after 11 am on Sunday).
You can usually get a great deal on Golf Now for both courses because paying anything over $25 is not recommended in my opinion. They are both nice layouts, just not well maintained and groomed courses. Butterfield is a great course to score on with wide fairways and minimal rough on the course. Chino is more challenging but those power lines are hella annoying so I prefer to play Butterfield. Good courses if you want to be cheap and just need to get a round under your belt. Not my top choice. I just go when I'm short on cash!
I was told I was holding up the group behind me. This was not true. It was very windy slowing down playing . The group was very opnoish . It was all uncalled for. I have the right to play the course as well as they do. .
Bartender was super nice! The place desperately needs a remodel!
The best thing about El Prado is that they have 36 holes and is not usually crowded.
Rustic course that is quickly being surrounded by industry and shopping. Cows are gone. Fair greens.
Chino Creek is a good and challenging course, one of my favorites.
Came here for Foot Golf. Was my and my sister and my cousins' first time there. Some of the people were not helpful or friendly. We stood there waiting to be assisted and was assisted by a member who saw us looking perplexed. Once we got our instructions it was good times ahead. Very fun! Great cardio work out. You don't get a golf cart so we walked the entire 18 holes of Foot Golf. The grounds are well kept.
Great staff and laid back environment. Chino creek and Butterfield are nice tracks to play any day. Its not country club golf but the course is always in decent shape. All grass driving range is a plus too!
Course is OK in general. Only complaint is that on the Butterfield golf course, there is a terribly strong smell of manure. Also, I hate the idea of crossing the streets in between holes. Though, minus that, the course is pretty good.
Fun family afternoon! Employees were helpful and pleasant. Course is kept up nice and the bathroom well marked and clean.
Great spot to play. Fun course that's pretty challenging. Got my first Birdie here on hole 9 last weekend and shot under 100 for the first time too so I'll always remember it for that round.
It rained cats and dogs on the back 9, but the course was surprisingly fun and very inexpensive! Definitely not a bad way to spend quality time with friends playing a challenging game of golf! Time and dollars welll spent!
Butterfield course is easier. Chino Creek is more interesting. Both are poorly maintained for the price, always wet and muddy from over-irrigation, making for slow fairways and wet feet.
Good golf course, i enjoyed most of it. Layout is little challenging with a few forced carries, a couple water holes with one the runs most of the right side of fairway. Tee boxes a little bare/rough on some. Fairways good when i hit them, seamed to find trees and power poles strategically placed near my ball. Greens great, little slow which helped with my chip and putts. Pace that day has great finnished in about 3 hrs. The only thing that i did not enjoy were all the power transmission towers wires buzzing over my head.
2 courses here...I went a day after in rained....the golf carts tore up the fairways
Made two tee times reservations quickly over the phone. Staff was very friendly. Arrived to play and we teed off on time. The course was in ok condition. We had a good time and finished in 4.45 hours, which is not bad for a Saturday.
Nice place to golf. The banquet faculty is nice. Alot of people hold parties for all occasion here. There is a women there named Betty who is your go to person. She will fix and hook you up with all that you need to make your occasion a very nice one!! It is however an older facility but a nice one!
Great disk golf course but the lake likes to eat the disk lol
You want to check weather and wind conditions before booking ...Cause I came out on the Windy's day of the month...!! Was not a pleasant time to swing away ..!!
Like stopping here for a beer and a hot dog. Cocktails are ????????????????. One of these days I'll try golfing just to hit up the beer cart!
Need sand in the bunkers. Please repair bathrooms, tile looks awful. Great prices, you could probably raise them a bit if you put the money back into the course.
Great weather, great golf, great friends, greens were rolling true today..
Beautiful! Clean facilities. Super neat and tidy. Floors sparkle just like the mirrors do. This place could not be more perfect-ly clean. Amazing! Whoever does the cleaning here deserves a pat on the back. Or maybe a sticker or cookie. Not quite a raise ir anything like that, but definitely some shiny or sugary token... So long as they're american-born and raised.
Nice valued golf course
Golf Course sucks the food is not so good. But free parking
I ride my bike on the side of this Golf Course and I see this wild flowers on the side of the road look kind of Jurassic but beautiful the same time
Always loved the courses at El Prado. We played Butterfield Stage and had a blast. The pace of play was a little slow as the other course was shut down, but there wasn't much of a delay. Very friendly office staff.
Excellent local inland course. There are 2 courses here, and the butter one will get you zig zaggin over the traffic just about every other hole so it got a bit confusing to navigate the holes. The butter course plays long. Bunch of 500+ yds par 5 and 180-200 yds par 3, so it's fun.
A beautiful course in sunny California!
The greens are absolutely amazing right now. Cheers to the staff and maintenance crew. Foods great. Beers cold. And the pace of play beats any course within 30 miles.
Course is pretty good shape, although greens needed mowing. First time I've played; interesting course.
I've never played a golf course I didn't like, Prado is always fun,not overly challenging, good course for players looking to improve their game, yet still tough enough.
Just a wonderful country club. Has two different full sized 18 hole courses. Both stages have well grown grass all around, and the bunkers & traps are well groomed. Driving range has a ton of bays to hit from which is always nice.
You guys should make your business hours on google maps the same as the one you are currently based on to avoid confusions.
Course has dirt patches everywhere! Played the Chino Creek course and it really is not well kept. There were large …
