REVIEWS OF Twin Lakes Golf Course & RV Park IN Penticton

Golfing here was a lot of fun. We were with a group of great people, staff was very friendly and they obviously took a pride in their covid prevention. Would definitely recommend this place.

Mahshid Ghodusi

A must course to play. Great tee times great pricing and beautiful scenery. Also had an RV park as well. Had friends that camped out there and golfed. Loved it.

greg raymond

We love camping and golfing at Twin Lakes. The staff is so friendly, the camp grounds and golf course are well kept and the rates for both are very reasonable. We go every year....sometimes twice. We even had our 50th anniversary party there. Love it !!

Andrew Van der Leek

We had a great time! Course was in great shape and the holes are so scenic. We’ll be back for sure!!!

Joe Rae

The course was in great condition. Greens were lush and consistent. Afternoon twilight on a Tuesday, $10 walking rate and a finish time of 3.5 hrs.. What more can I say? The pro shop is one of the friendliest in the OK.

Donna Dufort

This course is in great shape. We have golf here at different times over the years and this is the best shape it has been. The social distancing is good also. Highly recommend.

Janet Johnson

Twin Lakes was a great place to grab my clubs and play a round. The course was in solid shape and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Don Morrison

very enjoyable course, great atmosphere and friendly staff!!

rick Eoni

Great staff, coarse condition is improving drastically year after year. Great place to play and very affordable. Campground is a great way combined with golfing to have an amazing weekend getaway!!

We are NOT golfers and accidentally stumbled into this wonderful RV Resort in BC. From the get go Carol and Terry were exceptionally professional and incredibly NICE, something that is very rare in today’s business world. Carol was very communicative with this RV’ er and kept me constantly updated as to availability in her constantly changing work environment, which was genuinely appreciated. When we arrived EARLY for check-in, her good looking partner Terry, was kind enough to park us while waiting for slot #3 to open UP ⬆️, and THEN directed us to our spot and made sure we were parked correctly, KUDOS to you kind sir! After we were totally ensconced in our lovely spot, we walked over to the PRO SHOP and cozy Canteen, where we meet the very lovely and kind Alyssa who prepared fabulous BURGERS on her BARBY for our lunch. THANK YOU to all of you for making THIS EXPERIENCE so noteworthy! Rod and Helen # 3

Beautiful course, and a relaxing day. Great for my fiance whose golfed no more than a handful of times, had many good things to say about it, and she didn't feel pressured to hurry at all. Many props to the great clubhouse girl, great up seller, she would be well deserving of a raise!;)

Susan Cutt

The course is in good shape. We had a nice round of golf. Reasonably priced.

B Jorde

Stopped in to eat at the restaurant, turns out it is only open on special occasions. They have food in the club house. I don't golf so can't comment on the course. All I am saying is if you are stopping by just to have a meal. Make other plans. Staff was pleasant.

John Hans

We just finished our 2nd annual golf trip to twin lakes! 2 trailers, 8 buddies, and 7 rounds in 4 days. The course is a great track with a good mix of fun to challenging holes and if you short game isn’t on point, you could be in for a long round. The staff in the pro shop were awesome and very good with coordinating all of our tee times. The rv park is well run and maintained. The bathrooms we very clean and the booking process was easy. All around great place for a golf trip. Thank you and…..See you next year!!

Fraser Lloyd

Well I was a member there for a number of years and this year they just let the course go to hell and gradually squeezed out all the bronze members by not offering them any times. no different than stealing. I hope this place goes under and get some new owners under ,maybe someone decent buys it because the people that are running it are crooks I feel sorry for the employees having to work for them. I left this on Twin Lakes website so everyone can see it. I'

Jim Kay

Wonderful mountain layout, and in great shape, staff and management are great and courteous, and the grounds crew and thier management are doing great improvements and upkeep of fairways, tees and the different grass levels of the rough. I would recommend this course to anyone to play it, at all skill levels.

Clay Scott

A real "hidden gem" of a golf course!! Other than the fact that the signage between holes could have been better, the course and staff were great. A lot of variety, reminding me somewhat of Black Mountain in Kelowna and The Rise in Vernon. Well worth a visit!

Marc Bremner

Very nice RV park in a tranquil setting. Nice clean washrooms. Spacious, grass lots with picnic tables. Adjacent to a full 18 hole golf course that is in great shape, and has good rates. Only a short drive to Penticton or Okanagan Falls. We love it here.

Michael Ewing

I have drven by this course for many years, and thought, oh that looks pretty flat and uninteresting. Boy, was I wrong. There is a lot of elevation change, beautifully sculptured holes. Loved the scenery. I will be back for sure.

Andrea Bailly

I golfed at twin lakes last Sunday day and really enjoyed my game. While on the the front 9 I lost my golf buddy which I used to calculate distances to the pin. I Stopped into the pro shop and let them know I had lost it and left my phone number and name with the sweet lady working. Yesterday after I had returned to the Coast I received a phone call from this lady telling me that much Golf Buddy had been found and turned in. She was then going to mail it back to me. I would like to thank the person who turned it in and the great people who all work so hard to keep this coarse in such great shape. I will be back to play your great coarse soon.

Dustin Herbison

This is an incredible golf course to play on you definitely need a cart unless you're extremely fit though lol.. The price is just right $80 for 18 holes and a cart.. And magnificent views and all kinds of furry little gophers running all over the place lol

Cory Caplette

We stayed in the RV park and played 5 rounds of golf here. The hosts at the RV park are great and the 1 star review is for the course and not the staff! We stayed over the Canada weekend and the pricing on the course was out of whack! $15.00 a person if you were walking and $68.00 per person if you were carting. I have never paid over $100.00 for a cart anywhere, let alone for a course in as poor a shape as this place is. We had booked our annual guys golf excursion months ago for this place and when we noticed the pricing discrepancy on the last day we were told "we should have looked on the website for specials". Why would we look when we booked months ago. When I mentioned it to the staff at the pro shop they explained in to me in a very slowly "that is a walking rate" Upon further queries I was told to go back to my trailer and book it online so I could get the special price, which I did. I sent an email to the manager looking for further clarification on this process with no answer. Stay away from this place, there are better places that offer better service for your hard earned dollar.

this was the second time I have played the "Lakes" and enjoyed it more than the first, because I had a better understanding of the layout of the holes. the course was in great shape and the greens were true. it is the perfect venue for golf after traveling from the lower mainland earlier in the day.

Twin Lakes Golf Course is an excellent 18 hole course with many strategic challenges and my favourite part of the course is on the back nine with the mountain face and plateau. The staff are all wonderful, especially Rob and Bonnie and the costs are the best value in British Columbia. Twin Lakes Golf Course is a must stop for your summer vacation plans.

Russell Cunningham

Second time golfing here this year. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The course is in really nice condition and the greens run faster than what I accustomed to. Pace of play was good with us (3) finishing in 4 hours. I’ll be back here a few more times this season.

Doug Greason

Always a fun day golfing at Twin Lakes. I was surprised to see what good shape it was in considering the dry weather they had this summer.

Barbara Rae

The course was in fairly good shape except for the fairway approach on 6. The rv report is always a great place to stay

James Hertwig

Always a fun experience on this course. Staff are great to deal with and the course has some great variety. You won’t regret shooting a round here :)

Robin Morrow

Had a great time at Twin Lakes! We would definitely like to make it an annual trip. The staff at both the RV Park and Golf course are friendly types who are very helpful. A couple of a group forgot towels, Jan lent then a couple from her own closet. Above and beyond service. Aside from a slight issue at the end with checkout time, we had a wonderful experience and hope be expanding on it next year. The golf course was under a bit of reno with two temp greens but other than that it was a good course in pretty good shape. I would say middle of the road in terms of quality but the tranquility and staff friendliness makes it excellent and from the looks of it they were making improvements.

Jamie Hair

Course layout is pretty challenging from the Blue Tees. Gorgeous scenery along the cliffs and the price is absolutely right. Fun little track that owes you nothing at the end of the day. Happy Golfing

Playing Twin Lakes is such a treat for me. I tend to be one if those golfers that scores way better when I'm more relaxed and feeling comfortable. Twin Lakes always puts me in the right frame of mind. Whether it's talking to the friendly staff, interacting with the locals, or just taking in the natural beauty of the place. You don't seem get that intimidation factor or pretentiousness that come with playing some courses. At least I don't. The course itself is nice blend of risk reward. It's challenging enough for low handicappers but not too punitive for beginners either. You can't beat this place if your they type of golfer that loves natural surroundings, peace and quiet, and an enjoyable 18 holes with your friends.

Inga Grimley

Great track for the weekend golf camping good food and great company.

Al McCaig

From the warm welcome in the pros shop to the accommodating first green this was a round to remember. It helps that I shot one of my best rounds ever but that was due in no small part to the relaxed atmosphere and the demanding but not ridiculously hard course. A great mix of risk reward shots and bail out areas just where I needed them. The course reminded me of Furry Creek but without the stupidly punishing layout. Greens were soft enough to allow you to hit them and hold on and the fairways allowed good roll. Regardless of the price (which was super low) this was the best round of golf I've had in years. Dollar for dollar there have been none better. Food was great afterwards too. It's a little out of the way but if you are a golfer and are in the area you'd be daft to miss this course. It is my new fave course, shame I don't live closer.

Roddy Harder

Great little spot to RV nestled in beside the mountain and golf course. Friendly attentive park managers- constantly watering collecting cleaning and ever willing to help even giving you a lift back from dropping off the golf cart. The golf is scenic and somewhat challenging. Club house staff are super friendly and very accommodating. Do your home work and find a place near by where you can take a swim after a hot round of golf. Maybe visit the turtle pond. Virtually no children at the RV park when we were there it’s not really set up for kids either. One recommendation- confirm your reservations- some how we got lost in the system and luckily there was space for ourselves and friends.

Gerry clack

A round at Twin Lakes is always one of the things I look forward to the most when visiting the Okanagan. Elevated tee shots on 1 and 10 are the best two holes to start a round and back 9 on, especially if you get a hold of one. Really nice balance of challenging and forgiving holes, while the par threes are all really, really interesting and good for putting a few bucks on. Always found the greens, rough, bunkers, fairways and tee boxes to be in excellent shape, this year especially, the course is immaculate. Very scenic playing in the valley with lots of wildlife, and if you're lucky you can even catch a good marmot fight! Kate and the staff have always been great, 11 / 10, and taken excellent care of us and they're consistent; I hear the same thing from everyone that I talk to. Whether you're a rookie or a sniper you'll have a ton of fun playing here. Twin Lakes is easily one of my favourite courses to play anywhere, hands down.

carmelinda colalillo

Wow-their $10 for walking 18 hole rate is pretty much unbeatable for a lot of golf courses alone, not just in the Penticton area-the greens were in pretty good shape too. The course wasn't in A-plus shape but it all depends what you expect. The 'rough ' is pretty patchy at best, but with golf you should stay on the fairway anyways ???????? Hope to be back one day! Golfed with a couple of deer as well ????????

John Dore

Had fun golfing the 18 holes. Nice breeze and very affordable. The RV park is quiet and the spots are usual size. It has a few trees but nothing that get in the way or scratch the bus.

Peter Muzyka

Fun golf game even though it was windy....will be back for sure.....the Rv park looks good also....

Lynn Bedard

I recently played Twin. Had a small issue that was resolved immediately (and professionally) by Bonnie and Greg in the pro shop. Inevitably every business will run into a hiccup at some point, but it's what you do about it that counts. You guys are awesome! Thanks,John

Ron Jackson

Good Place to enjoy some golf, with friendly staff

Daryl Bellwood

Awesome golf course!! Great scenery!!

Ric MacDonald

Nice golf course and quite reasonable rates. Friendly staff. Back 9 more challenging and the whole course was scenic.

Darood Sandstrom

Well-designed golf course with plenty of interesting holes, but lots of room to improve on its condition. Fairly forgiving with wide open fairways. Several greens look sick, and are very bumpy. Some bald spots on the course covered by sand. But at $68.60 incl. cart/person one shouldn't expect too much. Restaurant was closed when we're there but they let us in there after purchasing some food from the concession. Friendly and efficient service. No water on the course.

monique driediger

Beautiful course in the mountains about a 20 minute drive from the city of Penticton. Some beautiful tee shots from big, elevated tees and most greens are elevated. The course was in great shape when we played and the staff is nice. Not much of a driving range. It would be a very tough course to walk. Reasonably priced.

Chris Bradford

Twin Lakes is a great golf course. It is kept in great shape and everyone is always exceptionally friendly.

Jay Ess

Love Twin LakesmGolf Course! The course itself is in fabulous shape. The greens are true and maintained beautifully. Well, except yesterday, the morning of Tuesday June 20, the 2nd green had so much cottonwood fluff on it, it looked like it had snowed on it! Good ole Mother Nature adding some more challenge to the game. The Staff are fantastic. Everyone is helpful, friendly and fun to be with. Kate is amazing-always smiling, available and goes out her way to ensure we have a good round. We look forward to our days spent at Twin Lakes.

Lauren Hunter

Great 'out of the way course'. Friendly staff. Course is kept in very good condition. Good value for the cost. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Jamie K

The course is in great shape and we had a fun round. This is a great local course!

Spark Media

Very Disapointed the course is ok but the upkeep on the cart path is not well maintained. On May 2ndMy wife actually inverted her left foot and ankle stepping off cart path to walk down to green #11 she fell toward landing on her left arm and shoulder. We exrayed on tuesday May 4th. Her ankle had a chip off and her foot had had A fractured bone.Bottom line not to walk on her foot for a month and gently walk on it for couple weeks after. After talking to the coarse management they Reimbursed my wife the season pass .Thank you The coarse is a good coarse s I stated I'm sure they will take a look at the carts path and insure this wont happen to someone else.Thanyou again Management.

Brent Keeler

Great day with wife, son and grandson. Played just nine holes, but weather and course were great.

Tracy Macgillivray

A group of us stay in the Penticton area every year primarily for wine tasting. This year decided to include a round of golf and chose Twin Lakes. We were all very impressed with course condition and layout. We will definitely be planning to play another round at Twin Lakes next year.

shovel denis

Very friendly staff and a neat golf course

Rick Haas

These are challenging times for maintaining a golf course, You guys have done a great job this year. I have yet to conquer hole number 12. I'll be back!!

Stanley Ross

Golf course is nicely maintained, Marshal and staff were great. Just watch out for cantankerous elderly people

Bonnie

We’ve stayed many times at the Twin Lakes RV Park and are well travelled snowbirds so we know the difference between a great place and a poorly run place . The RV Park is immaculate, well run, large spots with grass areas of your own and a large community grass for Bocce and a fire pit. Fur baby’s welcomed! Deer roam at a distance. The golf course is well maintained, excellent greens with some challenging holes. One of the best burgers we’ve had! Thank you for an awesome experience Twin Lakes RV&G! We will be back soon.

Matt

Great golf course great camping ???? the camp host were lovely. The girl in the snack shack was a little rude not once but twice in two different occasions. She could use some customer service. That was on Friday June 19th.

Glenn WhoDatguy

Had a great time at Twin Lakes for a round of golf with the crew of guys. Only complaint was how tough #12 was. Great day and great service and the price was alright as well.

Ric Bolivar

Visiting Penticton and played Twin Lakes, a short distance away. A great Gem of a course, and in very good condition given the summer heat. Had a great round of golf. Anyone who has played the Radium Resort course will like this one.

Matt Sproule

Course Is in nice condition. Some nice easy holes mixed with some more complicated holes. Value wise it's good, open area, good food and drink at reasonable prices. Recommended!

Larry Bremner

Great day at the course. It is in good shape too.

I found a discount and paid 49 with cart for this 18 hole course. I read through the reviews over the last few years and noticed lawn keep seemed to be an issue. I saw some positive posts more recently which peaked my interest in going. Overall I'm not too pleased with this course. I did enjoy the difficulty of layout and longer holes than average, but the green damage makes it impossible to have consistent putts. I went during hot weather and noticed they had sprinklers on during the three hours we were there. (11:15 until 2:30) They weren't too invasive, but some were hitting fairways and bunkers. (of course where my ball landed) They are struggling with the greens a bit. See photo attached. Quite a few greens with dead spots or aggressive damage. Staff is not a fan of you driving on fairways at all. My assumption is because they're trying to minimize fairway wear and tear, so be prepared to walk more than expected. They advertise a driving range, but it is a tee off with net only. Net is 15 feet away from tee offs. See photo attached as well. They have food in house which is decent. Prices are fair as well. Overall with the discount I paid, I enjoyed the round, but I'd never pay full price for this course unless the greens had better maintenance. Fairways are relatively forgiving, except for the odd few. It would be a very nice course to play if my ball didn't roll over bumps and grooves on the greens. Seems that there is also lack of communication in some regards to course holes and regulations. Hole 7 has been reduced without notification. States par 4, but is actually a par 3 of 170 yards. Carts are to be parked north of parking lot instead of back at club house (cart maintenance had to mention where to park after going to club house) paths and layout get a bit confusing as they've changed layout without making new signs or editing score card. It's easy to take a wrong path if you're not looking for a team ahead of you on the next tee. **Update** - July 11, 2021. Had a fantastic conversation about my experience here after returning home from the weekend. Kate, the general manager and coordinator of Twin Lakes is an absolute pleasure and truly cares about taking care of the course and the people who golf here. She didn't even hesitate to make sure she followed up with my experience and after learning a lot about the course and it's conditions, I will definitely be revisiting the course next time I get a chance. The timing of my visit was after a serious hear wave which contributed to some of the issues mentioned above. I look forward to revisiting during better climate conditions to see some improvement!

Brady Hemstock

I have been golfing this course for 18 years now and I golfed this week and I have to say the course looks the best I have ever seen it.the staff was very professional and knowledgeable.I highly recommend this course.

Shawn Way

The course was in fantastic condition. We used a golf cart that was clean and it had lots of power to get us up those hills. Will definitely be back!!

Austin M

Twin Lakes Golf course is in exceptional shape. Not an easy task in a year of exceptional dryness and heat. The greens are fantastic and are so consistent throughout the 18 holes. Congrats to the greens keeper for an exceptional job.

Lois Wager

This is a fun course with lots of variety in the terrain. The prices are great. Unfortunately, the condition of the course seems to have gone downhill quite a bit this year but it is still great value for the money

CF Paul

Friendly owners and staff. Very clean. Would definitely stay again.

Kim Ballantyne

I really like this course. I have a good selection of other courses in the area but prefer Twin Lakes. Nice laid back attitude in the Clubhouse. The scenery is wonderful and lots of wild life

Joe Hemstock

Easy access to bring a large RV for camping. Love the grass patch in your space for camping and full hook ups! The course is also well kept and challenging. Great spot to do both, will be back.

Marshall Bertram

I was pleased to have my first opportunity to play and dine at the Twin Lakes Golf Course in BC's Okanagan region this past June. The course is well maintained and, at times on hole #12 in particular, quite challenging. The scenery is fantastic, the staff are most accommodating and the food was excellent. A very enjoyable day was had!

Susan Tam

The course itself was in good shape....the traps were a little hard....the people in the clubhouse are great.....I'd play it again

michael drance

Great location, great course, some forgiving holes some not so much, just what I look for in a course. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Keep up the good work

Paneless Window Cleaning

We couldn't believe our first experience at Twin Lakes. We got an emergency call from our daughter on the 9th hole and had to quit our game. We explained the situation and were refused a refund or a raincheck for the second 9 holes. We will definitely not be back!

janet blake

Awesome golf course! Challenging at the same time comfortable for novice golfers. Great staff and course is very well maintained. Great value!

Alyssa Dodds

This is a great course with a great price. I play here every year and love it. Beautiful scenery as well. A must to play.

Michael Wynne

Great staff and the course is in the best shape my golf buddies and I have seen. The grounds crew is doing an excellent job. Bookings are fairly easy to get and no marshal needed as play moves along at a steady pace.

John Thomas

It’s a great course. Enjoyed my round. Will be back

AL HARTMAN

Beautiful course, great food, great staff, affordable golf... what more could you ask for? 10/10 recommend!

Lloyd Kenzle

The old bait and switch at its finest!! Myself and a friend of mine were booking a tee time online. (Through their website, not an outside provider) Advertised price was $60 and a 33% discount so $40 per player for 18 holes, cart included. Was having difficulty making the reservation online (online service not functioning well) so i called in to complete the reservation, no problem right!? Did that and we drove 25 km to the course, went into the pro shop to pay and the guy tried to charge each of us just shy of $70. I explained to him that i was the person who had called in to reserve as the online service was not working and stated the advertised price of $40. He said "well you didnt book online so this is the price here". I opened the website, showed him their advertised price of $40 and he would not honor it. He stated to me that he had problems with a lot of people trying to book online, having problems and then being upset at inconsistent pricing. I really feel like they just say what people want to hear to get them to drive them all the way out there and then throw them over a barrel. Very piss-poor and shady business practice
