Normally I would rate this course a 4-5. I cannot today as explained below. Today I had a tee time booked for 8:48. There was a frost delay. Completely understandable that we were facing a delay. Asked the pro shop when I checked in they were thinking an hour delay. An announcement was made at 8:50 for specific groups show to the tees and first tee off would be 9. I asked he folks at the cart pick up (who are also starters I recognize from previous visits) what the plan was? I was told an hour delay, so 8:48 was pushed to 9:48. Went and putted, hit a bag of balls and went to check in with the starter at the North tee at 9:35, so 10 minutes early. I was told I wasn’t there when it was to be my turn so I’d have to wait. I explained the hour delay, he repeated himself and added that he had know way of knowing if I’d been in my car or at the range or what. I replied that I had been told we’d have to wait an hour and that at 8:48 I wasn’t allowed to report to the starter as there had been a frost delay and the big signs and chains wouldn’t have allowed me to check in at 8:48. I spoke to my partner and we agreed that the timing wasn’t going to work if we were delayed 30 more minutes (Thanksgiving Sunday). Went back to the pro shop and had zero issue getting a refund. I had to stop the pro shop worker from radioing they starter and giving him trouble. Disappointed that there wasn’t a plan or any kind of communication between staff let alone staff to golfers. We will return if the weather holds and if Covid allows.

5 dollars gets you 25 balls for the practice area. The green was fast and the bunker was fine sand that buried when I dropped a ball in from waist height. Good value.

This 36 hole course offers one of the best challenges for golfers in the Ottawa area. The course is extremely well maintained and managed by it's office staff. The grounds staff and marshal's helpful and courteous. Try it you will love it.

The price is comparable to other courses in Ottawa, but the quality is better than most courses in Ottawa. There is very little areas that require 'maintenance' all courses are well maintained. Given that there is 36 holes, it also makes it less repetitive. I think this is one of the best courses price:quality ratio in Ottawa. I'd give it 5 stars, but their booking site online frequently has issues which can be annoying to book times and missout on time slots.

As many can see, I post reviews many times. And mostly positive comments. Today at the Meadows was hugely disappointing. I called and asked for a Twilight special for 2 People for NINE holes only. She said : I have a spot at 2:30 when the Twilight special kicks in. We got there and they charged us $59 a person because we each needed our own cart. Even though we're in the same bubble. Taking advantage of the Pandemic to overcharge people and make up for lost revenue. Last time. I golf all over the Ottawa area. No deals at the Meadows.

I've been going to the Meadows for an annual golf tournament for 8 years now, and I've always enjoyed my experience there. The staff is friendly and helpful, the grounds are well maintained, the greens are immaculate, and the post-game food and drinks are worth enjoying on their terrace. Most of the fairways are also fairly wide, simplifying things for sub-average golfers like me. I always look forward to returning every September!

Overall a good course experience. Course shape can be rough in some patches but the 36 holes it offers gives players a good (and mildly challenging at times) playing experience nonetheless.

Gotta say that while it is convenient and the course is in good shape it is some of the slowest golf in the city. My 3 longest rounds of the year have been here. Not sure why put the seem to bottle neck a couple of 9s with tons of people while the rest of the course looks reasonable. Not the place to go as a single to get in a quick 9 because either alone or as a 4some....its slow.

Hey, thanks for being open but what is with the noodles in the cups? You can't even sink the ball into the hole, you just have to hit it? Why not cut the noodle in half so you can just fetch the ball with your putter? That's what they're doing at Pineview. Easy fix. Some of my friends don't want to go to Meadows just based on this and the fact other courses have much better systems. *Update- spoke with the GM Mark and he explained their situation. He says they will re-visit this decision next week. Here's hoping they make a change. Have since updated my rating based on his call.

Popular place to play; often very busy in the evenings. Maintenance of the grounds is okay, but not great but it is nice to have four different courses to play on. Staff are very friendly. Food in the restaurant is not that great; but the beer is just fine!

Played meadows on may 8th . My goodness the course is in horrible shape. It was the first game of the year and I dont know what this winter has done to other course but meadows is not fit to play for at least one month.

Loved the course but was not impressed that I had to pay full price for a power cart because we all wanted individual carts. Other courses do not do this. The carts did have plastic dividers but some in our group are not comfortable sharing a cart even with the dividers. Hopefully this covid thing will be over by next golf season making this all moot.

The Marshall told us that the people behind us had every right to almost hit us with a line drive as we were not fast enough (we were on the second hole and four was not yelled) he was extremely rude and ruined our experience. I have golfed there many times in the past but never again. Decent course horrible Marshall's.

Very pricey. Got charged $80 because I think they charged me for my own cart even though we were sharing one. Not that impressive for $80. Wont be back. Not in sync price wise with the other ranges in Ottawa. Pro shop had half our group teeing off on another hole.

I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED. I used to love this Golf course when I lived in Ottawa so I invited my family member from Toronto to play at this course yesterday (Friday, July 29, 2016). At the back line (North) hole 6, my brother in law tried to retrieve the ball in an area that appeared to be safe. When he tried to pick up the ball, both of his feet sank into a swampy area (which looked solid). As I tried to help him, one of my feet also sank in. This was a serious safety issue for players. We had to remove our shoes which were completely ruined by wet mud and went back to the club house. We explained what happened to the staff and manager. The manager was very unprofessional and unapologetic about the situation. Although they noted there was a warning sign about retrieving the ball in certain areas on the reception desk, our attention was never brought to this specific warning. There was also no sign whatsoever in the actual swampy area. We were only offered a towel to wipe the mud off our shoes. We left feeling very disappointed and that the management didn't appreciate its customer's experience. I hope that management will ensure to treat all customers with respect in the future.

The staff are friendly and there are 4 nines. They tend to overbook so pace of play is on the slow side. The greens are very slow, and landscaping could be improved as lots of cut rough that wasn't cleared.

Overcharged me for junior golfers. Allowed us to rent 2 power carts for twilight 9 and then sent 2 marshalls out to collect our carts at 8pm, with a hole left to play. Don't rent carts for rounds that can't be completed due to volume of golfers!! We spent over $200 this evening and were treated poorly by the course policy. That's $200 I will be spending elsewhere from now on. Shame on you Darrell!

I have played here a number of times with a friend who is a member. Well, he's not a "member" the pro reminded him of; he's just a "pass holder." With this kind of lack of respect I'm not sure why he still buys a membership... I mean, pass. Avoid this place if you hate slow golf. Marshals do nothing to speed up play even when requested. One day there was a group of guys playing ahead of us who had two holes open in front of them and they were lining up putts like they were Jim Furyk - 5 minutes on each green and another couple of minutes to exit each green after they wrote down their scores, cleaned their clubs, had a drink and generally wasted a lot of time. They refused to let us play through even though we asked respectfully. When we alerted the marshal, he agreed to speak to them and proceeded to drive toward them, then veer off in another direction not to be seen again. Seems like most marshals just want to look for balls. We quit on the 14th hole that day after being on the course 4 hours and 45 minutes. The pro was dismissive of the whole situation. I guess he's happy as long as the course is packed. Pro shop staff are more helpful and they will give coupons if you complain to them so be sure to go in and talk to them.

Hard to want to play a course where most of the marshals think they are actual police. Earlier this season a marshal accused us of bringing beers (Corona tall cans) onto the course, after paying 12$ each for them from their bar. Once he found out that the bar did in fact sell these, he refused to apologize and continued being rude to paying customers. More recently, I had the pleasure of dealing with a marshal that felt the need to remind me three times within 2 minutes, that I could not play more than 9 holes even if we had paid for twilight, and acted as if we were a burden to him. Hey Meadows, stop hiring miserable old men to be your marshals. Your green fees are pricey and people don’t like to be treated like peasants by them for no reason.

Played course for first time this year Friday July 24. Course in pretty good shape with all the heat and dry weather. Greens a little slow. I am a senior and had to pay $80.23 with a cart..This is not an $80 course. I will never be back until the cost becomes more reasonable.
