This Golf corresponds to the category of Golf course.
The greens have sand traps and the price is more expensive than 18 at pine view executive and 9 at white sands and both are much better courses for the price. They charge you to share clubs which no other course is doing currently as they don't rent clubs due to covid and they shouldn't anyway based on the conditions of their driving range and course. The owner is very rude as well.
I am not a golfer. I like to go out with my family a couple times a year for a game. And this place is perfect for that. Management is very accommodating, the surroundings are beautiful and the course is challenging enough to make it fun.
Nice little par 3 course. Amazing view of Mer Bleue Bog. Greens are a bit rough in spots.
Great 9 hole, par 3 course. It is a great practice course, club and cart rentals available, there is also a driving range. The course would be small and the grounds would be rough to a serious player.
The actual golf course is ok, but management was exceptionally bad. We had asked a question to the front desk about sharing bags and got the go ahead, only to have the manager chase us down on the course and accuse of us trying to defraud her. Even after trying to clarify the situation, the manager kept being rude and unfriendly.
Customer service needs so much improvement, and more expensive then other better kept courses in the area. Considering they were closed for over a month you’d think they’d address landscaping but nope.
Fun for the whole family, young and old. Not a mini putt, but a miniature golf, complete with sand traps and water hasards. Lots of mosquitoes at dusk.
Haven’t golfed before & went to just hit a bunch of golf balls on the driving range. It was easy, there was open space & I had a lovely time! Can’t complain.
Greens are mediocre and there are only 2 karts which you cannot reserve. Often people taking priority over people with tee times.
Quite possibly the worst golfing experience I've ever had and that’s saying a lot. Located next to a garbage dump consider yourself lucky if you aren’t vomiting by the 5th hole when the wind blows the nauseous smells from next door into your lungs. Speaking of dumps, the greens looks like landmine practice fields better suited for grenade throwing than using a putter. Apparently maintenance isn’t something this “course” believes in. But have no fear the rude staff who probably haven’t smiled yet this decade will make you feel right at home if your home happens to be prison. I imagine catching COVID being more pleasant than spending anymore time in this overpriced dump. It’s unfortunate Google doesn’t allow negative ratings because this $hithole deserves it. Any self respecting golfer should avoid Mer Bleu Golf like the plague.
This is a picturesque 9 hole golf course with fair rates, and well maintained grounds. Many holes surround a beautiful man-made lake. Leave the driver at home, because is a great course to refine your irons.
There is a miniputt, driving range and 9 hole golf course at this location. The miniputt is fun, the course is fast (think thin layer of astro turf on top of concrete) and is beat up in spots. So a bit pricey, but a great way to get kids outdoors and do something different. Bring cash. The range is astroturf u less you are a member, iy looks like you can use grass tees. I wish there was more info on-line about the 9-hole course. Haven't played it, but the fiest hole is a nice looking, very short par 3 (about 70 yards).
Extremely bad experience. The website says the course was open, and we drove an two entire hours to get here just to find out it was closed. They should not expect our presence anytime soon, and neither should anyone else. Utter garbage.
Extremely rude staff.
The par 3 is unplayable but I do like the private card member golf range to practice my swing in the actual grass. Wish they added more targets and the owner cares a lot less of how it looks compared to when it first opened.
Play the course 2-3 times a week, great prices, pleasant staff and good times. Great place to work on your game, and I, as a new golfer have been loving this course! Definitely recommend!
Was a big fan of this place last year but the range is especially bad now. The mats are almost down to bare plastic and they let people scream constantly which ruins whats supposed to be a quiet game. Also, the bunkers are rock hard and the greens on the course aren't being maintained regularly. 9th green is basically a giant sand trap. Cost went up from last year, even on range balls and it was already too expensive for what the quality of the course and range is. I just got home and honestly will likely never go back. Overall very disappointed.
Only used the driving range. Very prompt and courteous service. Driving range okay. If it had distance markers I would give a score of 5.
Poorly maintained driving range with very rude ownership.
My 12 year old son, 10 year old daughter along with my parents attended Mer Bleue golf for a round of golf for my sons birthday. My father suffers from an aggressive form of cancer and cannot carry his own golf bag, so he shares with my mom. After they hit off the first tee, staff ran out asking what they were doing...they needed their own bags. My mom took the time to explain that they share a nag fornthe reasons explained above and female staff responded with "i dont care that he has cancer and i dont care that its his birthday." They were told to leave the property. My mother presented her VISA for a refund and the lady threw it into the gravel and told her to take it up with VISA. My mother picked it up, slammed it back on the table and demended her money back. She was met with the same....tossed her carf in the gravel and told to take it ip with VISA. She also took the time to repeat with the other staff stated..."she didnt care that he had cancer....the rules are the rules." I posted about this incident so that people stop supporting such an abhorrent business and the lady involved in the failed refund stated that she didnt like the way my mom spoke to her...i guess thats her excuse??? Im not the first to have problems with this business...they are rude, they are ignorant, they lack empathy and need a reality check. Theyre not running a business...theyre running a scam. Save your money and support another local course who are capable of showing decency and respect.
Great place to practice . They offer a tee with mats and rubber tees. You can also go to the grass area and practice using your own tees. To use the grass tees you have to buy a membership card. The cost of the card covers the numbers of buckets in accordance to how much you pay.
Seems a little dangerous with how the holes are organized and I found a lot of balls from the driving range on the course.. a bit sketchy. The course itself wasn't in the best shape. For what you get I think it's overpriced, if it was $12 after 4PM (instead of $22) I think it would be an OK course for beginners. Try their mini putt or driving range instead, both are great!
This review is specifically for the par 3 9 hole course. Firstly, the website lists multiple deals for the golf but in the small print it's says that they ended in January. I don't know any business owners that leave their deals up on their website after they expire. The problem with this is most people don't look carefully at every detail so this can be misleading. The next issue is that the course is $25 for a par 3, 9 hole golf course. I have played at over 20 different courses in the Ottawa area, some were 18 holes and some were 9. None were as poorly maintained as this one. The tee boxes haven't been mowed for probably a week, they are completely beaten-up, with no visible attempts at repairing them. The fairways are also a mess and there isn't really any fairways to speak of, just grass the same length as everything else. Then there's the greens, my friend and I have played over 50 rounds of golf in the last year and none are on the same planet as these ones. The greens were dead in most places, some had sand holes, most didn't have a smooth surface anywhere. I have never felt like my money was wasted golfing, until today. I hope everyone sees this message and avoids golfing here. Please don't waste your money.
Greens are half dirt, horrid costumer service. Pick another 9 hole to practise on.
No organization, course was in horrible condition highly recommended you avoid this golf course !
I owned a membership here thinking I would come here to practice my game, but everytime I'm treated like they don't care about me even with a membership. This business is all for the money and they don't give a damn about you.
I'd like to give this course 5 stars because of the way the marshall handled the situation. It was my friends first time golfing and he drove the kart on the green and the lady came down to talk with us. At first she was extremely upset (Which I understood) she was going to ask us to leave the course. I love this course and come about 3 times a week so I would have been really upset. After my friend apologized and explained it was his first time she understood. I think it was good experience to teach him to use the path lol. Greens are rough in some spots but you can see how hard they are working to make it a better place. 5 stars from me !!
