I've been very fortunate to golf at Emerald Links many times over the summer. It is an excellent course, well maintained and in outstanding condition! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They space their tee times properly and don't overbook like other golf courses so your never waiting very long to tee off. If you get a chance, book a lesson with CPGA and Director of Golf, Chris Bernard. He is very knowledgeable, patient and a phenomenal instructor. He has helped me immensely with my game and restored my confidence and passion for the sport. I highly recommend Emerald Links to all my friends and colleagues!

I played the West course 9 holes. Very well maintain golf course with some difficulty. Lots of sand pits and water hazards. The turf is really well maintain and staff are very nice.

Good as always. 5* for shape. Better marshalls than kids in the Spring. Great pace. 4.5 hrs. After a 2 hr front 9. Been playing there since day 1. Always a great spot. Part of the Gib Patterson collection

Austin Campagna

Beautiful course, friendly staff, but quite expensive. Arguably the cost is higher than the value.

Overpriced, but still a solid course

Nothing to write home about. Tee boxes are not great and generally very slopey. Fairways were nice, greens were quite a mess. Disappointed.

Gerald Rochman

Great course, friendly staff, good food

Course is always in great shape. Clubhouse is pretty decent. One of the higher priced courses for weekend golf in Ottawa, but the conditions of the fairways and greens usually merits the extra few bucks!

Mitch

Nice long course, lots of Par 4 and 5s. We started early and there was no one else on the course. It was great, course is well maintained, club house staff and grounds staff I talked to were all kind. I will definitely be going back again; but maybe not start at O'Dark Stupid in the morning.

I think this course has been better. I'd say average these days. More bang for buck elsewhere. But I do like the East 9. Some tough holes that are fun to play.

Diane Jesmer

Signed up for a golf clinic. Learned something useful in the first session!

Grant Yusak

In pretty good shape.

I played this past Friday afternoon. I was a single player looking to play a round of golf. I started my round and quickly caught up to a twosome on the third hole. They invited me to join them as there was a foursome in front of them that was really slow and would not let them pass. I spoke to the Marshall and advised him that the foursome was really slow and holding up smaller groups. The Marshall advised , they they were only about 10 minutes behind! even though the was no one in front of them! Couple more holes went by and I could clearly see that the next 3 holes ahead were open. Again we spoke to the marshal and he did nothing. What is the point of paying a guy to sit on a cart when his only job is to monitor golf etiquette. Two smaller groups were being help by a foursome of drunk mediocre golfers for 14 holes and the marshal did nothing. wow. On a side note. There was at least two holes on the course which were placed withing 2-3 feet from the old pin holes. 1 of them wasn't even flush/level. I normally recommended this course but its been a few round that I've been shaking my head at what's been going on there. I would recommend not going until there is several good reviews address this stuff. The course / management of the course is becoming bush league.

East course in good condition for mid May. Overall green fees are expensive including the food, really nothing to boast about. Young staff members are very nice and try to help but unfortunately I cannot write the same about the 'head pro'. He has very poor customer relations and gives the impression that he does not like his job. With the state of the declining golf market in Ottawa, some old courses have recently closed their doors and prestigious private courses have had to advertise and reach out to draw new clients by lowering their fees in order to stay alive. The Emerald Links GC owner(s) should realize how important it is to have their head golf professional act in a manner that will attract people to their facility and the game of golf in general especially during these times.

Greens and tee boxes were a mess. Four or five burnt out old holes near pins on multiple holes, each putt was like plinko bouncing off old cups and pitch marks. Took 5 hours to play despite seeing marshals on th course. Definitely not the experience or condition of course I remember it being and definitely not worth the 85 bucks we paid yesterday.

Wen to the driving range. It was an open area, you could stand wherever you wanted to. I prefer actual stations but it was the only place open

Tee boxes could be much better. Lots of dirt. Uneven. Greens were in good shape of not for so so many ball marks.

Course was in good shape. Greens were good played fast. Very busy pace was slow and they weren't doing anything about it. Were letting groups of 2 go out when there was a line up at the 10 th tee. Cart girl was by a few times and was friendly. Pro shop and starter were a little stuck up not overly friendly. I feel it is over priced, very expensive to play here and its a bit above average in comparison to a lot of courses in Ottawa that have cheaper green fees. Would recommend if you want to pay. Won't serve you in the pro shop if you don't have a mask and will charge you for a mask but the girls working in there didn't have one on!! Kind of weird but I guess these are the times we are in.

Superb. Greens are fantastic

Have had some bad experiences but tonight was the last straw. - Booked 9 holes and a cart for two online, well in advance - arrived, and advised i was paying for two and a cart, tee time at 5:50 - Paid (seemed cheap, assumed it was twilight) - Realized she didn't give me a cart key. I asked and she said "Oyeah, I didn't charge you because it is too late for carts - my partner and i had been on our feet all day, went back and just asked for raincheques. - She then sold a cart to the people teeing off at 6 and also sent a foursome out with carts after of younger people that worked there ....won't be going back.

The Golf course was great, perfect conditions and excellent staff. The practice facilities are some of the best in the Region.

DDD

Way too expensive for what your playing and the staff needs to organize playing times/amount of players on the course. Our tee off was at 4:30pm we didn't tee off until 5:10pm. We only finished about 15 holes and then it was too dark to see the ball. Spoke to the guy in the pro shop. He couldn't do anything about it.

Denis Quintal

Slowest course in the Ottawa area. Overbooked and no marshal to move things along. We were backed up 3 groups on many holes. If you play here, expect to pay top rates for the longest game.

Maureen Stiles

For November 8th....the course was in great shape. Greens had been spiked so a little more difficult to putt.

First time on the course, golfed the East course. Challenging but loved it

Jessica Summers

Emerald Links Golf Course has its positives, but the experience I had with the manager of the pro shop left a very negative impression for me. Most of the staff is very kind and helpful, but the pro shop manager looked like he hated his job and was very rude and short while speaking with me. They shouldn't have people like that around, as it gives off a very bad impression from the course, and he was quite unpleasant to work with.
