First, the CGCC is a well organised and professionally operated course with exceptional management and staff. This year both courses were in fantastic condition, so thank you grounds keeper's and Mother Nature. Also this year I bit the bullet by committing to lessons, knowing the course standards and doing my research I chose Brett Clagett Woods as my instructor. His approach at first was straight forward and honest, "here's what we have to fix" after watching me take a few practice swings..."well pretty much everything starting with your grip." I appreciated the professional direct approach with a good sense of humour added for balance and proceeded with lessons throughout the later half of the summer, which sadly finished today for the season. In summary, Brett was always professional and supportive, not afraid to point out when I diverged from previous lessons, yes golf is a work of layers and progression. I also trusted Brett with all of my club fittings for a deserved set of new sticks as a personal reward. I will spend the rest of this season implementing what I've gleaned from the lessons on the course and although I've already taken an astonishing 35+ shots off my first round this season (see why I took lessons?) to being in mid 80's as of my last round, I can only credit hard work and a skilled instructor to this success. If you are considering lessons I would highly 100% recommend Brett at the Canadian it will be money well invested. But, in closing, just don't tell your friends you are taking lessons, they will never stop busting your groceries at every missed shot.

Played on Friday and was pleasantly surprised at the condition of the course given the recent hot spell and lack of rain! Money well spent. The early opening of the bar (world Cup soccer) a bonus! Definitely a replay in the offing.

Great facility about 15 minutes out of Ottawa. The pro shop is well stocked and the staff are great. I took a first time golfer out and there was no pretentious attitude or unwelcoming atmosphere. Very happy and would definitely recommend!!!

Nice course and well maintained. However, there is no point renting a power cart here as they are GPS'd and allowable driving areas are unreasonable, sometimes as little as 50 yards. I had my 83 year old father with me and he found it a bit over the top stopping all carts at 100 yards from tee box and 100 yards from green.

Nice course, however the GPS golf carts are easily the worst I've ever had the displeasure of driving. They are super slow and very glitchy. When you're not on the cart path (even though I was), the cart doesn't move and you're forced to back up. It makes for a very unpleasant round.

Whether you are golfing or you are planning an event, wedding or tournament this is a great venue. The owners have very high standards. I have attended a number of events here. The course is always in great shape. They constantly reinvest improving and expanding the course.

Honestly, I've played a pot of courses and haven't come to one close as good as the Canadian Golf Course. The greens are just well maintained, the grass is generally soft and looks green (rather than dried out like most courses), and just overall a great experience! The carts are awesome, electric and have touch screens for ordering food and keeping score within the game. There are also cart girls which is awesome for quick snacks, beer, drinks and food! Awesome course, definitely worth every dollar. Don't cheap out! You pay what you get.

Really beautiful golf course. Very well sized with plenty of turns and offers challenge. The facilities are well kept and clean and the staff always helpful. My company hosts our annual charity golf tournament here and they've been nothing but open and helpful. We look forward to coming to the Canadian every year.

I've had good and bad experiences here. They tend to pack people in pretty tight so later tee times means a really, really long golf game. If you can get out early and ahead of the crowd it can be a fun course.

All local courses are struggling this year due to the long winter - surprisingly, the Canadian has no temporary greens - they have been punched, but aren't too bad. A few wet spots on the course; regardless it was in good condition. Interesting layout for the holes - an enjoyable day. Bonus - the carts have GPS will very good maps.

Great price for a round of golf at a challenging (for a mid to high handicapper) and well maintained course. If you are a lefty, you are in luck as the course has plenty of forgiveness for a left-handed player. The range facility and practice greens are also well maintained and the course staff are very friendly. Make sure you check out both the east and west courses as they offer different challenges, and keep an eye out for some Pro V1s in the water, I've lost plenty trying to play overly aggressive on hole 17 West ;)

I played this coarse a few times and had some good experiences but I brought 4 friends out to play with me so we could potentially become members together. It was a busy night due to men's night and play was slower then normal. During the round I was approached by a self claimed member who became very aggressive and hostile towards us getting right up in our face while we were trying to tee off. This ended up ruining the rest of our night. After the incident I talked to management and they have been great at understanding the situation and looking into an appropriate outcome. Again I'd like to say the staff at the coarse has always been excellent, management has been great during this incident thus far, and the coarse is a beautiful coarse to play. I would give the coarse a 5 star rating with an appropriate resolution to this very unfortunate situation that we were caught in the middle of.

Have played here 2 times in the last 2 months. Both times we are backed up behind 4 groups and the Marshall's are not advising them to play faster. Obnoxious groups, I believe to be memebers, blasting awful music you can hear from 4 holes away. Course is in great condition but overall a terrible experience.

A challenging and well maintained 27 hole golf course with a driving range, putting and chipping practice area. It has a pro shop with a good selection of clothing and equipment. The staff are friendly and helpful, the members are friendly and acomadating. The food is well prepared and delishous. All facilities are clean and welcoming.

Great Golf Course. It has all elements for a good golf game - Blind spot holes, water and sand bunkers. The carts are very silent and have technical screens for electronic scoring and directions for golf course. We enjoyed it so much that we went again the next day morning. Even the club has good and had reasonably priced clothing to choose from. The carts also have screen dividers to respect covid protocols. My new favorite course after Loch March in Ottawa

This is an extremely well-maintained course with attentive and friendly staff, excellent fairways and greens and challenging holes. We played the West 18 at 7am. The paved pathways were great, with lots of signage instructing you when you can and cannot drive on the fairway. There are some great holes on this course. An added plus was the range on site to hammer a bucket before starting. The place was bustling, with loads of people rotating through the course. But you'd hardly know it with strong staff moving people through. I'd return to this place.

Probably the safest thing you can do right. Plenty of room on the golf so it's easy to maintain distance most of the time. Practices in place to keep people safe include Plexiglass dividers in the golf carts. As for the course, it's in great shape been going for about 15 years now.

It was great to get out of the house and be able to golf again. Indoor golf is not quite the same as the real thing but we still had a great time! Like any other virtual golf, the putting is lacking so a gimme at 16ft is what was recommended. Covid protocols well maintained, hand sanitizer at each table , mask needed when leaving your playing area. Fun night out

They are not worth even 1 star, I ordered a golf cart from them. first it too a long time to get delivery, then when it arrived after 2 months.. package was broken, and the cart was damaged to a degree where it is not useable. now they dont take the phone or answer emails. the service you get is horrific. or even worse non existing. think twice before you have any relations with these people. the have basically scammed me for 340 dollars

Way too many blind tee shots and dog legs, which makes it very difficult for course management. Got very frustrating by the back 9. Found it expensive for what it is. Really nice practice area though.

Nice course but a real pain. Everytime we play there is always something that messes you up. Either there is a tournament so you have to play to fairway 3 then switch to 13. Or like today, pay over $50. to have to stick only to the cart paths, so we virtually walked for that $50. plus. Then twice be told to pick up the pace when we feel it cost us those dollars to walk. We are all seniors and I know we do not hold any groups up, at the end of 18th we were 2 minutes over.

We just had a staff golf tournament and dinner with the Canadian Golf Country Club yesterday. It was a completely painless experience working with Melissa Hodgins (the event coordinator). We had a lot of special requests (e.g., food allergies), last minute requests (e.g., additions), and questions about the contract and how the tournament would run. There was absolutely no focus on the problems, only the solutions. The contract discussions went completely smoothly as Melissa explained what was possible at our quoted price and did not charge us for every request we made. Everything that was offered to us, was made available the day of the tournament. There was not a single comment that resembled a complaint from any of the participants. We highly recommend this course for you golfing experiences.

The muffins and the couse are both very hard to stomach. This course has very few if any redeeming qualities. I do enjoy the effort put forward to equip the washrooms with zen like stone water features you'd see on the cash register of your local Asian supermarket. Getting back to the golf... the front nine offers a wide range mediocrity. From lackluster par 5's ( 1 and 8 ), to boring doglegs ( 3,4,6) The front nine can be summed up simply as, average at best. The back nice, one the other hand, is, no wait, it's not good either. The only highlight maybe the tremendous outhouses they have set up between holes 13 and 14. I highly recommend stopping in if you're in the neighborhood. Some beautiful facilities. You know what they say, if the course isn't great, atleast it was a quick round... nope! I've played Canadian alot. The pace is never good! Ever! It reminds me of waiting in line at golf town when you're stuck behind some old dude who has zero intention of buying anything, yet has 7,000 questions and all you want to do is live your life, but this old guy is killing your vibe... the Canadian is kinda like that. This place will kill your vibe. Besides that, it's pretty good. Canadian 5.7

I've been a member here for a couple of years now, and I'm really happy with everything from a members point of view ,staff, course conditions, food, everything deserves an excellent rating. Recently I had the opportunity to host a fund raising golf tournament at the course and I can't say enough about the excellent job done by Melissa and the food and beverage staff. I've organized golf tournaments before, and doing it with these people was by far the easiest experience yet.

we live close by and twice my husbsnd and I just wanted to play 'ALONE'. Apparently this is a concept not respected by the golf couse. Not only are we expe cted to play with strangers..we get to pay for that privilege. There are many, many golf courses that dont force that...We are happy to have found them. I joined the ladies league this year. I have been a ladies league player for over 10 years at other courses in Ottawa. First of all for the size of this league, I am amazed at how organized it is. Pace of play is never a problem here. I look forward to every tuesday as the course is in great shape, the food is excellent and as we order prior to going out it is ready when we come in. There is really a great group of ladies here, and Danielle and Melissa do a wonderful job!

A round to forget..Arrived on the tee deck on 1 and there was a 3 some ahead, being a solo player on this day ended up playing behind. Group ahead was very polite and let me play through as I always respect golfers and pace of play. Played a few more holes and caught up to a 4 some who also were very kind letting me play through reaching the par 3 7th. Attempted par putt was interrupted by a “players assistant” who was thrown off why I was a single and not placed with a group from the start. Tee off on 8 and the “players assistant” returns requesting to go back 2 holes and join a 3 some which I did Replaying the same holes, obviously no problem playing with people...the 3 some stuck up for me letting the Marshall know I had passed them 3 holes ago and that the pace of play was fine. So the pro shop/starter should have indicated they wanted me to play with a certain group instead of saying it’s fine to play away. Should have been addressed from the start not ruining someone’s round mid way through.

Course was well maintained but had too many left doglegs for my game. The electric golf cart was a total waste of money. It is GPS restricted so much that I ended up walking 7.5 kms for 18 holes. Because of the cart restrictions, 90 degree rule, limited areas where cart is permitted, I would have been much better off walking except I have a slight physical disablilty. So if you need to use a cart pick a different golf course.

Be prepared to be paired up with another 2-ball. Booked a 2-ball over the phone for the following day and was told that the course was not busy at all. Arrived at the course and was told that we would have to join up with another group. I explained that my playing partner has only recently taken up the sport this year and that it would be unfair to him and the other group if we joined up. Was pretty much told to take it or leave it so we left it. I tried to explain to the gentleman in the pro-shop that if this had been communicated to us at time of booking then it would not have been an issue however he just started talking to the next customer. Terrible customer service in my opinion. Wasted journey and will not be attempting to play there again. Plenty of other courses in Ottawa staffed by employees with better people skills.

Very nice & challenging course. Sunday afternoons are a little slower & our group ahead was sharing clubs with the players in different carts which was frustrating. Marshals/ starter is supposed to catch that.

I'm no golf expert by any means but I can make a few comments on this course. First of all the marshals are extremely friendly and helped us understand a few of the holes before we started out. Also i noted that the grounds are extremely well kept. I only did the 1st 9 holes and each one presented a new challenge.
