Beautifully manicured fairways and greens. Rough not too difficult to play out of. Challenging placement of sand traps on a few holes. The water on the 8th cuts through the entire hole for a visually appealing look.

Wonderful view on the terrace of the golf course but the food was just average. The Sunday "brunch" at 11:30 was just an a la carte breakfast menu.

Beautiful course and friendly people. A little on the more difficult side if you're just starting out so be prepared to lose a few golf balls. I would definitely recommend giving the course a try!

Great course for the casual player with relatively straight forward holes, easy to walk while still having a few more challenging holes with water hazards. Definitely can't beat this course with their low green fee. This course is only a 9 hole however but there are deals to play through twice for an 18 hole experience. They also rent electric skateboard caddies for a more active experience without having to rent a golf cart.

Great course with moderate difficulty. Greens were hit and miss. One temporary. The rest of the course was nice. Heavy black flys at sunset and lots of geese. Hard to turn down a twilight round of 9 for 17$ . Defiantly would play again and recommend to the local hack, for a night out. Great community atmosphere and nice restaurant. Can’t see this place loosing anytime soon

Went to a wedding celebration at ALE. Food was quite good and had a good selection of local beer on tap. Overall a good place. I'd go back to try out their regular menu.

This golf course is a good place for beginners to pick up the game. There’s 4 par 3’s and 5 par 4’s on the course. The course however is poorly managed. After we were done 9 we went in for a sandwich and there was nothing prepared for us. Played the back 9 on an empty stomach. Wasn’t impressed with the clubs lack of refreshments. Won’t return for this reason.

Great facility run by some nice people. Edit: came back recently - horrible time. As per usual, the greens weren't in great shape but that's not what I go for! I go for a decent, fun 9 holes in Stittsville. Unfortunately, the lady working there worked against this. We were a foursome that day, and therefore thought it best to follow the gentleman ahead as closely as possible, as we would inevitably fall behind (as a foursome), and therefore keep the pace. However the lady decided we would not be allowed to tee off until he was in the 3rd hole ("to keep the pace.") This was ridiculous given that the group behind us was 2, and had carts while we were 4 on foot. Obviously they caught up with us very quickly and we were ready to let them play through when the original lady who made us wait (and therefore who caused this traffic) came by to tell us to play best ball. We paid for 4 green fees so all 4 of us should get to play 9 holes -- this lady just caused unnecessary headache when I just wanted to play some golf on my birthday. This club takes itself way too seriously given the dodgey state of the greens and waxy, used earplugs (presumably staff's) littered about.

It was very easy to rent a golf cart. Prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly, but can't say the same about their patrons.

A very nice little 9 hole golf course, I've been playing here since I was a Junior golfer. The course is usually very well maintained. Do not expect a championship golf course.

Good short course, well maintained, good prices. Try not to go early in the morning though, as the turf staff seem disoriented and often stand on or near the green while you are putting/chipping or teeing towards it. Quite distracting.

I love golfing and for someone nearing 60 and still thinks he's in his 40s or younger, this course offers enough challenge for any skill level. Play 9 or 18 and end your day with a great meal at the clubhouse restaurant. The food is wonderful, the golf is always fun and the people you meet at the club have always been kind. Spend a day this spring/summer or fall and enjoy the walk amongst nature and friends.

Played a twilight round of 9 holes. Easy online booking, payment, and excellent staff at the start. This is an executive course comprised of Par 3 and 4 holes, with some challenging aspects. Fairways were pretty well-maintained and the greens above average. Priced well for the twilight round walking. Easiest hole is #4 (Par 3) that you can almost miss when you finish up with the third hole. The 8th and 9th holes are fun to play with water on 8 and a mean fairway bunker on 9 that you can land in with the drive if the shot goes to the left. Nice course set along a residential community.

I recently bought a ticket for a Christmas party at ALE where canapes were served, cash bar. More than 80 people attended, the so-called canapes were served on one small plate and put on the buffet table with everybody trying to get one canape. It took more than an hour to bring out more canapes, one plate at a time, and I have never seen such terrible ones, they looked like having been made the day before, and they tasted like it too. And since there was not enough for 80 people, they brought out home made potatoe chips and dip. What a poor performance by ALE.

Exceptional!! Highly recommend the food & service. My husband had the best steak dinner & I had the glazed maple tofu that was unbelievably delicious!! Even the meat eaters agreed when they tried mine!!

Tried this course for the first time today. When we showed up the signage for the pro shop was very confusing. We eventually found it and had paid for 18 holes knowing it was a 9 hole course (and we would go twice). When we checked in 12 people were lined up to tee off, so we waited a while to start. Instead of teeing off people based on start times it's was like a line up because people who finished their first 9 kept showing up. We got paired up with 2 great guys who knew the course, but the log jam really made things painful and when we finished our 9 we looked at 12 to 16 golfers were lined up to tee off. We took a loss on our back 9 and said we would never return. Course was not too bad, but it is the worst organized course I've ever been to in the Ottawa area. Keep in mind, the Google rating is high because most positive comments are on the clubs restaurant. It looks great. The golf course is decent but a disorganized mess.

Very nice scenic regulation 9 hole golf course. Everything was in great condition. A lot of wild life. The geese don't really move for you so avoid hitting your ball near them haha!

Was pleasantly surprised! Wasn't the best course in Ottawa but good enough to go back. Greens were in good shape , tee boxes need some TLC, and fairways were average. Staff was friendly! Shorter course with some challenging holes, with a Hazzard on every hole. When you can't get a tee time elsewhere and want to play I recommend. First time playing it and have notice that they always have tee times and the price is more then reasonable.

I have lived in kanata since 1965. Played it today and was completely impressed. The course was in shape far better than I expected. Hats off to the greens keeper. I am a 6.5 handicap, trust me a gem.

Their customer service is terrible. We keep trying to book a tee time for Father’s Day. The website said you could book 2 weeks in advance, but it wasn’t working, and we were told to call 7 days in advance. We did that, and now we have to call 5 days in advance. There seems to be considerable inconsistency with policy, and it is quite frustrating.

My meal was unacceptable. The pasta was dry, not enough sauce, oysters were all dried out, in fact no oysters. The whole meal was only slightly warm I have been there before and had nice meals not sure I will go back.

I have never enjoyed my dinning experience here. Yet people keep wanting to go. I will strongly suggest against it next time someone brings it up. The fish I got was very clearly frozen before hand and completely dry by the time it hit my plate. At least the servers seem engaging and fun. Not worth your Money.
