Attended a wedding there so to be fair this review is not an evaluation of the place as a golf course.The golf course and greenery is beautiful. Having said that, the food arrived cold including a soup and simply inedible, wedding guests were left hungry. A lot of the food resembled the same quality as stuff you'd buy frozen from Costco. Service was reasonable but somewhat lacking, coffee forgotten to be served, no water served etc. Please bear in mind this during Covid so this might have had something to do with it.

My wife and I recently had our wedding reception here and couldn't be happier with the outcome. The golf club is stunning. There are lots of garden and a pond to have photoshoots from (which turned out great so far from the sneak peak photos). In terms of planning, it was difficult to plan considering the Ontario COVID restrictions and regulations, but in the end, Rikki's awesome communication made it easier for us. Once the room (Compton) was confirmed, deciding on final details were a breeze (e.g., linen cloth, table placement, etc.). I do appreciate for Royal Ashburn being flexible in terms of accommodating our vision of the "perfect" covid wedding. Finally, the food. It was okay (4/5). The hor d'oeuvres (chicken waffles and shrimp) during cocktail and charcuterie board after dessert were the highlights of the night. If you're still deciding on what place to book your wedding at, I suggest paying Royal Ashburn a visit.

My husband and I had a fantastic experience booking our winter wedding at Royal Ashburn Golf Club. We planned our wedding while living out of province through e-mails and phone calls to Carol. Carol always responded promptly and was friendly and professional. Every staff member we encountered during our visits to the site and during our wedding itself was helpful and professional. Carol made it very easy for us to plan out our wedding exactly as we had in mind. We held our ceremony in the beautiful glassed-in terrace on the upper level and had our reception in the Compton room. Carol served as our day-of coordinator for our wedding and ensured that everything went smoothly and according to schedule. She even made sure that train of my dress was laid out perfectly before I walked down the aisle! Our photographer was able to choose many beautiful areas both outside and indoors where we were able to take photos. In particular, the snowy garden and archway made for a beautiful backdrop. Our guests were very impressed with the venue as a whole. We received so many compliments about the food, and the chefs were very accommodating with several of our guests' food allergies. I would definitely recommend this venue to other couples!

Just want to thank the staff at RA. From the moment the 8 of us checked in this past Monday for our 3 day stay and play we were treated like kings. Staff was unbelievable. From James in the proshop to Jessica, Melissa, Sarah, Brianna, Sam, Rihanna. I'm sure I missed a few but everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Cabins and patio were perfect and course challenging and in great shape. First time I've seen a course sand fill ball marks on the greens. Thanks Scott. Everyone said they would come back in a heartbeat. Pace of play was awesome.

Had our wedding there on October 3rd, 2020. What can I say. It turned out better than we could ever have dreamed. Our Dominican Republic wedding got cancelled in the summer and we were pretty upset. But as soon as we saw what the Royal Ashburn had to offer we were excited again. The greatest thing about Royal Ashburn has been the people. Right from Amanda and the booking process to our Co-coordinator Rikki. They did not ever say "NO" to anything. They always found a way and were so supportive during the entire planning process and during our special day. Vanessa and I can't thank them enough for how amazing they made us and our guests feel on our day. The grounds are spectacular, ceremony area was perfect, food was awesome, reception hall so beautiful and the service just Awesome. If you are thinking about getting married, make sure you look here first. I promise you will not be disappointed. Thank you Rikki, we truly can't thank you enough.

Royal Ashburn (and specifically Rikki Lund the coordinator) made my big day. I, like many others, was a COVID bride. I've read the horror stories of some venues and was so thankful that the Royal Ashburn was not one of them. Not only did the answer all of my questions and have supreme patience with me - but they went out of their way to accommodate me through the rollercoaster that was the summer of 2020. We started off with 150 people, then just 10 for a majority of the summer, then to 50 people outside for only the ceremony, to three weeks before the wedding allowing 50 people inside. Rikki was with me and accommodated my numbers the whole way. It was nice to feel like I had someone on my team. Rikki helped me plan, re-plan and plan again when it came to table positions, numbers and just about everything. I don't know where I would have been without her. She responded to every. single. email. Even I thought at some points I was being excessive. The food was phenomenal (we had the stuffed chicken and the prime rib), the grounds were clean and beautiful and the service was helpful and friendly. Richard the bar tender deserve special mention. What a beaut! He was so lovely. I'm going to be honest here - at the tasting in November I wasn't enthralled with the food or wine. I believe they changed chefs though and the food for our reception dinner and wedding was delicious. Everyone finished their plates. I know, I went around and talked to the tables during dinner lol. I will admit, I was super impressed with the look and convenience of the new cabins (it's where myself, my bridal party and my Moms got ready the morning of) - however I wasn't impressed that it wasn't included in the package, it was very expensive and the rules were very strict. It would have been a great help to have had it as part of the package for the night before/night of. It has 4 double beds, so none of our guests (couples could really stay overnight) and we couldn't use it for our big night unless we wanted to sleep in separate beds). Plus there are no hotels close to the venue - 20 minutes away. It would have been very helpful to at least have a shuttle or something to offer the guests who were drinking. Overall, my big day was more then I could have expected. I wish I could do it again (with the same guy). We had a grand finale of fireworks, well worth it. Our DJ screwed up the timing for the announcement, but there was Rikki on the phone doing everything she could to make it happen. Sent on 08/10/2020

I played there Saturday October 21 The staff member asked if I was walking or riding. I clearly said I was walking. I didn't really read the receipt until I got home. I noticed an $18.00 charge for a power cart. I called the pro shop, complained about the overcharg and was immediately offered a refund. There is no doubt in my mind that this scam is done a lot, hoping the customer won't notice! IF YOU PAY AND PLAY HERE BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR RECEIPT! YOU WILL PROBABLY BE OVERCHARGED!????

We had our wedding here yesterday. We originally had another venue booked but they cancelled due to COVID. The attention to detail was phenomenal. All staff give their cell numbers to contact at anytime. Always willing to help. Amanda and Natalie are AMAZING. Always available to talk and very accommodating. They always offer the best customer service. LOVE this venue.

Another year has passed and again we stayed at Royal Ashburn for five nights and I am very happy to say, again it was wonderful. The course is beautiful and the staff are fantastic. A special shout out to Jessica who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Simply a wonderful place to spend time at. A group of 8 of us stayed at Royal Ashburn for five days on the stay and play package. The golf course was beautiful, the cabins new and the food was excellent. Everyone we dealt with at the course was friendly and helpful and a special shout out to the staff at the pro shop who helped us with every request we had. Scott Paterson, the head pro made the reservations seamless and the facilities were simply wonderful.

I've played a lot of courses around the GTA this year, and Royal Ashburn was in the best condition with an incredible layout. It's challenging, but achievable with extremely challenging and well-manicured greens while bunker sand is excellent to hit out of (I know, I spent a lot of time in bunkers). Beverage cart personelle came around 4 times throughout our round and the food was excellent. Can't wait to play another round at Royal Ashburn.

One of the most challenging golf courses in Durham. It is home to Golf Canada's junior programs and Mackenzie Tour qualifications. Highly recommend the $99.00 meal and round package. The cut of the striploin steak was beautiful and delicious. Plus, the official starter is dressed in traditional Scottish attire and announces your name on the first tee. It felt like I was on the PGA TOUR, inside the ropes. Great experience.

I attended a wedding at Royal Ashburn. Food was great, venue was really nice. Service staff were friendly. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is after the open bar was finished, they completely shut down, despite that it had been arranged for them just to go to a cash bar. We ended up having an hour and a half wait between the end of service and the shuttle arriving. They also seemed to be in a rush to get out as they were clearing all the drink off tables even if they were brand new. I came back to my table to see both my drinks gone.

Royal Ashburn took great care of us & the course was in Fantastic Condition! Our Cabin was great & Check in/Check out was super smooth! All around great weekend! I highly recommend the Stay & Play option! Golf course was challenging but beautiful! Kept us on our Toes! The Club House was gorgeous & so was the Peameal on a Bun! It’s a must have!

It has a feel of a classy British golf country club. The upstairs gala event hall us fair size with a bar off to The side and stage towards The West of the space. There's an attached atrium that faces the golf course. The washrooms and change rooms are too top. On site features classy wait rooms and gift shop. Great place to throw an event or wedding and save on the cost.

We had the most beautiful wedding at Royal Ashburn. After postponing three times, we couldn’t have asked for a better day. Rikki was amazing to work with and was so helpful with the postponements and answering our many questions as the regulations kept changing. We loved the outdoor tent space, and the grounds were beautiful. The food was incredible, and all of our guests were so happy with the quality and proportions of the meals. The bartenders were a blast! We all had so much fun with them. We can’t thank you all enough for how wonderful you made this experience even with the hiccups of the pandemic.

Although I cannot speak on the golf aspect of this course, their venues are beautiful. As a result of covid, some of the parents from my high school organized a private prom with Royal Ashburn, and they did an amazing job. The food was delicious and the servers were extremely friendly + polite. The bathrooms were well kept and from what i could see the course looked well looked after. The tent we were in was beautiful decorated and more than large enough for the 100 of us. I cannot put into words how grateful I am to have had such a lovely prom during a pandemic, and it’s thanks to Royal Ashburn <3

Planning a wedding during a pandemic is no small feat, yet Rikki at the Royal Ashburn went to Herculean lengths to make sure that our wedding in August 2020 went as smoothly as possible. We are grateful for her flexibility and constant communication in planning each step, even with the last minute guest-list changes and hurricane weather on the morning of. Our small ceremony and reception dinner with 25 guests turned out to be the absolute perfect day, and exceeded all expectations. 11/10 Thank you to Nikki and the staff at the Royal Ashburn for your kindness and adaptability during these crazy times.

This review is for the staff at the Royal Ashburn who went above and beyond for the wedding I was a part of. There was a medical emergency and the staff immediately acted to call emergency services. All the staff, from the night manager to the kitchen, were extremely organized to get the paramedics to the 2nd floor quickly and acted in a respectful manner. The remainder of the night went off perfectly. I would definitely recommend this venue for any event.

All of the staff that I encountered were class acts; from the pro shop guys, to the starter, along with the beverage staff. Not to mention, the track itself was in wonderful condition, and had some very challenging greens. Finding Royal Ashburn was SUCH a blessing! Our first golf club venue cancelled our contract FOUR MONTHS before our wedding due to the pandemic. We scurried to find a new venue who would accommodate a large number of people, preferably in an outdoor tent. Everyone we contacted was either too stringent or too costly, and some were available to host us but their venue didn't live up to the picture in our heads of what we hoped our wedding would be like. Given the circumstances, we knew we might not find another dream venue. Then Royal Ashburn connected with us and told us about their brand new!!! permanent!!! outdoor!!! tent that would be ready JUST in time for our wedding! When we came for a site visit, Rikki greeted us and gave us a beautiful tour of the grounds. She answered all our questions and was so accommodating! The tent wasn't even built yet, it was just an empty space, but we knew in our hearts with certainty. This was it! Not only was RA gorgeous, but they were committed to helping us navigate this pandemic and pull off a fabulous wedding. Rikki was so patient and kind during our menu and contract discussions, and unbelievably cooperative during the pandemonium of the week leading to the wedding. The government had shut down AGAIN, and current restrictions didn't allow for more than 10 people weddings. We asked RA if they were willing to host our wedding with a few days notice in the event that the province opened early. They said yes, and we prayed for the best! Miraculously, the province opened with ONE day to spare (and with 5 days notice). Rikki sprung into action alongside us. She handled everything perfectly; site visits, deliveries, socially distanced seating arrangements. We had to have special accommodations: Dinner served in To-Go boxes, and a sit down ceremonial reception with no dining, just speeches and first dances. Rikki was totally on board. It must have been crazy to have to handle it all during a pandemic, but she did it with the best spirit possible. We are so so so so grateful! Our wedding literally could not have happened without Rikki. The venue itself is so beautiful. Our photos look stunning, and our guests loved every minute of our day, the food too! I'm 1000% positive that our wedding could not have been the magical day it was without Royal Ashburn coming to our rescue and Rikki being the most wonderful host we could have ever asked or prayed for! Thank you RA, and thank you Rikki for giving us a day we will never forget!

A great golf experience. I am not a golfer, but this place was by far the best place to have come to learn about golf. In Ontario, I'd say Royal Ashburn Golf Club ranks amongst the best due to its cleanliness, the size, staff, directions and professionalism. It's a HUGE golf field, so make sure you don't get lost.

They have forgotten they used to be a golf course first, and not just a wedding venue. Greens are in awful shape, bunkers have little to no sand, and it's always a 5 hour round. Sending people out to mow the lawns on a Friday at noon to the fact they interfere with shots? All for the low low price of +$110?? Save your money and go to one of the multiple of better run courses near by. But hey, I'm sure the weddings pay really well!

Purely a golfers review. I am roughly a 10 handicap. Great track, not for the faint of heart. Requires you to hit your shots. Lots of greens are convex, pins are located in tight spots, hit the greens with wedges or you're off the back. Lots of guarding, whether it be a fairway bunker or marsh, rarely hitting into a green without protection. I described it as a real golf course to my playing partners, who aren't used to playing layouts like such. Shows its age, in a good way. Can't really say anything bad about it other than it made me shoot more shots than I wanted to. A challenging course but also can be ultimately rewarding.

We immediately fell in love with Royal Ashburn Golf Club upon our first visit. We there looking into the venue for our December wedding. At first glance Royal Ashburn was the most expensive so far but we quickly realized this wasn't the case at all! With everything they do for you (rehearsal ceremony, setting up decor, the delicious dinner and amazing, warm and friendly service) we realized what deal and luck we found ourselves in! Our coordinator was Rikki (our initial meeting was with Nancy) who was wonderful! She answered all my emails in a timely manner and on the day of she ensured everything was smooth sailing. She and a server even came out in the FREEZING RAIN to offer us and our photographers appetizers and an umbrella that fit more closely to our colour scheme. Rikki was awesome! All in all, we can't say enough how happy we are to have gotten married at Royal Ashburn. It was truly the best day ever!!!

I played this course in late august 2020. Course was well kept, fairways were luscious, greens were appropriate, tee blocks were great. The starter was a nice fellow, as were the ladies working the bar. The marshal ruined the day for us though. We were a foursome, walking, playing twilight with one group, a father teaching his two young sons how to golf. The marshal came up to us after the first, third and 6th holes. He was very rude, impolite and flat out lied to us saying we were holding up the whole course and that people were backed up on the tees. He said we needed to skip holes if we wanted to continue playing. However, we could see behind us and the trailing group was on the previous green as we were on our greens, with the two tee blocks behind them being open. I understand a marshal is to keep game olay moving, but he was down right rude and has encouraged me to never play there again. This was my wife's second time on a course ever. For 120$, two people walking at twilight, I will always go to columbus or winchester and spend half the money and have double the fun. Shamedul customer service will drive people away despite the course conditions.

We can not express the amount of gratitude that we have for Royal Ashburn and it's staff. Having a wedding during a pandemic isn't ideal but Natalie and Royal Ashburn made it perfect. We had to postpone our wedding by 3 months and cut the guest list in half. Royal Ashburn was great through all the changes and we could not be happier with how the day went. Natalie was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed and that everything went exactly as we had planned Royal Ashburn was the perfect choice for our special day!

Nice course, we went there for mothers day with our 10 month old, no seating left in buffet room upstairs so we sat downstairs. Its a nice course, but the buffet breakfast was very average, nothing special certainly not for the price they charge, further they charged our 10 month old $6, she ate 1/4 of my wifes egg, thats it, however there is a charge for children under 4, even if they are 10 months old, that was ridiculous, seems like a petty place.

Royal Ashburn is a stunning location for a winter wedding! We had an outdoor ceremony in the Cedar Garden in February 2021. It was the middle of the pandemic and there were so many covid-19 restrictions, but Rikki and her team didn’t let that stand it our way. They went above and beyond to make sure our guests were safe and our day was perfect. At that time, we were allowed 10 people indoors for a meal and their chef created an absolutely delicious celebratory meal for our immediate family. I’m so thankful that we chose to have our wedding at Royal Ashburn. They made planning feel like a breeze, even though it all took place during an incredibly stressful time!

We had a great time golfing here. Fantastic course which has been kept in great condition and friendly staff. The one thing that does not have me at ease when golfing here is how absolutely none of the staff are wearing masks during this pandemic. You would think that such a high end golf course would care a little bit more about not only their customers but their staff. The patio looks lovely but would not want to risk spending time there after a round of golf. The waitresses (and cart girls) are certainly unavoidably within 6 feet of customers and their coworkers and it seems like no one really cares. Wouldn't be a risk I would be willing to take as an owner... I hate to compare but the same weekend we played a round at Deer Creek and I was blown away with their safety measures. We felt a lot more comfortable as all staff including the marshals and cart girl had masks on at all times even when not in close contact with other people.

Our good friends booked a wedding here in the winter and it was a nightmare to coordinate. The original planner (a Royal Ashburn employee) was reassigned so a stranger ended up being their contact. The kitchen was unavailable for a rehearsal dinner. Then, after the wedding, despite a guarantee that the facility would store the wedding decorations in a safe location until the next day, the venue asked the bride and groom to clean up the weeding before leaving that night. ON. THEIR. WEDDING. NIGHT! Lastly, the planner didn’t even show up for the event.

For the price of green fee / cart price I feel the value wasnt there. My main concern was the condition of the greens. Lots of pitch marks and they weren't cut which ultimately left every putt bouncing around and wasn't a true roll. The pace of play was awesome and friendly service staff!

I want to state that this seems like a nice (potentially beautiful)course. I was playing in a Golf Ontario tournament last week and since I’ve never played this course before, I wanted to get a practice round in the day before. No practice round or rate offered, I played TWILIGHT, and they charged me $100 (I believe $85+hst) to walk! This is not a cheap rate by any means. Fine, I expect a top notch course. I understand it rained the night before a bit, but the fairways were in no exaggeration like patchy first cut rough at many courses. So disappointed. No discount offered, nothing! I can understand weather can play a part in not being able to cut, but if it’s an issue cut in advance of expected rain (these clearly hadn’t been cut in at least a week). I then played the next day in the tournament and still the fairways not cut! So I spent around $300 in 2 rounds to play a course basically without fairways. I would also imagine these were punched or top dressed recently because shots came out funny and didn’t not feel normal - my opinion. Again, seems like a nice course, would love to play there again if conditions better. ROYAL ASHBURN — I expect a refund or course credit of some sort. If conditions are like this, let us know and offer discounted play! If I receive this, I will come back to play and update my review accordingly (I hate to give bad reviews, and am more than willing to change this review).

I had my wedding here over the long weekend and was so happy with how everything went. My initial tour with Sandy was what convinced me that this was the perfect venue for my wedding because of the obvious care that Sandy and the staff take in event planning. Natalie did a wonderful job making sure that everything went without a hitch, even working to compensate for some late deliveries from my vendors. Natalie helped to iron out the timelines and was really helpful in making creative decisions. I received so much positive feedback from my guests about the aesthetics of the room and sun room. Meals were timed beautifully to avoid any cold or rubbery food- in fact many of my guests commented to me on how good the food was (one even wrote his own review!). We had about 200 people in the Compton Room which was comfortable (not squished but also not a half empty room). I didn't have my ceremony here but the grounds are beautiful so we did take our wedding photos here. Thank you Royal Ashburn for making our big day perfect.

Recently had a 2 night stay and play with a group of 12 and it exceeded all expectations. The golf course was in excellent condition and is championship quality. The meals were delicious and we had choice of the full menu (including Friday night Prime Rib), the servers and golf course staff were super friendly and accommodating, the cabins were clean and functional, and the massive putting green was perfect for chipping/putting competitions. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great round, great meal, or a full stay and play outing.

The Uxbridge Probus Club booked their first Christmas Gala Luncheon on 2 years at Royal Ashburn on December 8. One hundred people participated in a Christmas party that was a huge success, judging by the comments we have received so far. A big part of that success was the service and quality we received from the staff at Royal Ashburn. From planning to service to food quality, every aspect of the day was handled professionally and with charm and grace. We will definitely return next year!

My husband and I were supposed to have a destination wedding in July however due to COVID-19, it got cancelled. Approximately five weeks ago, we decided to have an intimate wedding and ended up chosing the Royal Ashburn Golf Club. I am glad we did as the staff and the venue exceeded our expectations. It was such a magical day and all of our guests had a great time as well. The experience we had booking this venue from the 1st phone call to the day of our wedding, was absolutely amazing. During the process, no matter what we asked for, the answer they provided was always a "yes". Also, if you ever get Rikki (Wedding Coordinator), you will be in great hands - she was such a pleasant person to deal with. If you are in the market looking for a venue (regardless of what occasion), I highly recommend that you go with this venue.

Absolutely wonderful experience. We went for a girls getaway and had an absolutely blast. The staff was super friendly and lively - they were sure to say hello and would have a quick chat when they saw us. The greens are kept in meticulous shape and provided the right amount of challenge. Summer 2021 Wedding We had an absolutely fantastic wedding at Royal Ashburn Golf Club. We had postponed our wedding from last summer and even moved venues since the last one was unable to accommodate us. It was very difficult to find an outdoor venue and we could not be happier we found Royal Ashburn. The staff were friendly, responsive despite being incredibly busy with so many other events, and truly wanted us to have a great event. The outdoor space they created is absolutely stunning. It comes with twinkle lights, patio furniture which guests loved for cocktail hour and the whole space has so many beautiful flowers. Since our event was planned last minute, we didn't have a chance to taste the food. We were blown away. We had hors d'oeuvres, sangria as the signature drink, Caesar salad, pasta, the duo plate, cheesecake and the carnival late night station. Guests were raving about how delicious it all was and the large portion sizes. The meal was absolutely perfect. Overall, like many couples, we had a very difficult time planning and postponing our wedding due to Covid. Once we found Royal Ashburn, everything came into place and became seamless. The staff are so detail oriented and tried so hard to make our big day special. The golf club has a fantastic atmosphere and the grounds are beautiful for pictures. The food is delicious and each course came out at the perfect time. The ceremony space is private, incredibly beautiful and romantic. We truly could not be happier. We highly recommend any couple to choose Royal Ashburn as their wedding venue. We very much appreciate all the hard work from the staff at Royal Ashburn, especially Emma who truly helped bring out vision to life. Thank you all very much again - our big day was perfect! Beautiful course but I do not recommend for weddings! They staff is very unorganized and unprofessional. Once you pay them is when everything goes down hill. If you or your guests have food allergies then definitely stay away. When we first booked they said they could accommodate our allergies but it was a big headache. They are also very set in their ways. So if you want a wedding that does not fit their cookie cutter frame of mind, good luck. It will be a fight to the end. Really disappointed.

For those that are planning their wedding during the pandemic, I know your struggle. The constant rule changes, the unpredictability, and the frustration that comes with planning during the pandemic. All of these concerns eased as soon as I finalized the venue at Royal Ashburn. Rikki was so great at helping us with all our questions, concerns and the organization of the event. She and her team went above and beyond to convert our wedding planning stress into wedding planning excitement. The wedding day itself went so smoothly and without a hitch, and its all thanks to Rikki and the Royal Ashburn staff. I went for the outdoor space that was built earlier this year. The space is covered with a tent, with beautiful flooring (great for heels), string lighting (such a great ambiance during sunset and night time), and so many electrical outlets for all your lighting, sound and decor needs. It's a very well planned space. There is also a super cool cocktail area space that can be utilized as well. Royal Ashburn itself is simply beautiful. Very well maintained grounds, and beautiful landscaping. There are excellent spots for photos, our photos came out so perfect. My wife and I opted to do our wedding photoshoot at the venue itself, there was no need to find any additional photoshoot locations. We had the event during Ontario's stage 2 re-opening plan with approximately a 150 guests. Working with Rikki and the Royal Ashburn was very easy. She is very responsive and aware of the provincial limitations, and willing to think of creative ways to plan the event while staying within the guidelines. The event was a South Asian Muslim wedding, the staff was very accommodating, even provided prayer space. I would definitely recommend this venue to a friend and couldn't be happier with how my wedding turned out! I don't ever write reviews, but wanted to try and help out other pandemic wedding planning couples as best as I could.

The course was in breathtaking condition. Simply stunning. The peameal on a bun, however, was the absolute show stopper of an all around terrific weekend. When you first read the description of the sandwich, the reader is left to wonder whether or not there may be lettuce, or a tomato, or even mayonnaise. A little bit of mystery is always welcome. Then when it got to the table, the aroma was the first thing to strike your senses. It was as if that pig had died that morning. And the bun. Oh man the bun. You simply cannot have peameal on a bun without the bun. And that was it, nothing else on that sandwich - just some peameal, and a bun. It was perfect. I'd give six stars if they would have let me have the recipe, but understandably they were unwilling to share.

We had the ready set wedding package with add ons. If you plan on having a small intimate wedding, please inquire about this package. However they can facilitate all sizes. The grounds are well kept and the greens were fast and well manicured. All staff we interacted with were positive and very friendly. My one complaint would be that the sand traps contained a lot of rocks. Not something I would have expected from a course of this caliber.

Was there for a Wedding Reception on Sat.Sept.18. Three receptions going on at the same time. Wonderful venue. 2 drawbacks that require attention; Water shut off part way thru the evening. They run on a well and it couldn't keep up with demand. Not good during Covid times requiring frequent handwashing. Elevator needs improvement. It is a hydraulic elevator and VERY SLOW. The staff and service are EXCELLENT. I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding reception.

The front 9 here is spectacular, one of the best 9 hole stretches in the GTA. The first hole is my favorite on the course, a well protected fairway with bunkers down the hole from 200 yards right to the green. Greens are true, fairways are short, the beer is cold.

Our Starter/Marshall John, who upon hearing it was our first time playing Royal Ashburn, went out of his way to give us the lay of the land, even popping by mid round with a few words of wisdom. A week before our wedding, our previous venue cancelled on us due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We had to scramble to find a new venue. Royal Ashburn was amazing! Rikki, in particular, was wonderful! She quickly responded to emails and helped make our wedding ceremony happen. Rikki was there the day of the wedding to help in any way she could and we were so grateful to have her there. With so many unknowns during the pandemic, it's a relief to find a venue like Royal Ashburn that is dependable and ensured that all safety protocols were in effect. Thank you!

We hosted our annual company event at the course. It was 5 nights and 5 rounds of 24 golfers. Some great golfers and some that had never played. The service was outstanding. Anything we needed they were all over it and accommodated. I don’t even have words for every meal that we ate there for 3 meals a day for the entire event. Everyone is still talking about how great every single meal was. Simply mouth watering. The courses history speaks for itself. As always it was in the most outstanding condition. I had some choice words for some of the greens. But that’s self inflicted! The cabins are fantastic. Right on the course. In amazing condition. Allowing everyone to enjoy drinks throughout the day and into the evening. The use of the practice area late into the night made for some amazing competitions and fun had by all!! Anyone looking to host a golf event for any size needs to consider doing so on home soil and spend some money on Canada. You might never want to go back south again!!!

After spending the better part of a week at Royal Ashburn, I was very impressed with all facets of the course, the dining and the facilities. The course itself was in immaculate shape and it’s clear how much pride is put into maintaining it. A perfect blend of challenging and enjoyable, it offers something for everyone - the long hitters and the pin hunters. We had the pleasure of staying in the cabins on the course and I would highly recommend taking advantage of these ideal accommodations. The cabins are ideally situated just off of the 18th hole, and are modern and clean. The amenities within are excellent with 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms and a spacious kitchen area. Lastly but certainly not least, the food and staff were incredible. There was variety each and every day and I looked forward to dinner each night to see what the chef had prepared. The quality of the food served each meal was first class and surpassed any expectations that our group had. Perhaps the biggest asset that the Royal Ashburn has to offer though, is the service of the staff. Our group was so fortunate to benefit from the engaging and passionate efforts of Sara, Melissa, Jackie, Brooklyn, Lexi and Ashley. They all truly took service to the next level while making us feel welcome for the entire stay. I highly recommend making Royal Ashburn the destination for your next golf adventure. Whether it’s a day at the course or a 3 day tournament, they have what it takes to make you feel like royalty.

So sorry for this late post but hope its in time for 2019 wedding season :) ... We hosted our wedding at the Royal Ashburn Golf Club on July 1st 2018. Our coorrinator was Nancy Busby. The golf club and Nancy were great. Nancy was very accommodating and helpful.. always giving us her honest opinion, which is vital when going through the various decisions in the planning process. The Compton room is especially gorgeous with amazing views of the golf course. The food was also very good. What made this venue especially great is how far they went to accommodate our requests. They searched a number of LCBO stores to serve the specific wines we chose to serve for dinner. Our wedding day was on July 1st.. which is the same day as the clubs annual Canada day celebration. We were so excited when they told us this because I always wanted fireworks at my wedding. Somewhere along the way the club changed the date of their annual celebration, but they still honoured their word and put on an incredible fireworks display just for our wedding night, at no cost to us! They didnt even tell us until afterwards about the change of plans. It just goes to show how much the staff and Nancy were determined to go above and beyond to make our day extra special. The entire experience was incredible with this venue. It just so 6happened that our wedding day was one of the hottest of last summer, so the A/C may have had some trouble keeping up, but cant really blame them because of the extreme heat. Thanks to Nancy and her team for the wonderful experience!!

My experience with the Royal Ashburn was incredible, and I would highly recommend considering this venue during these uncertain times. My husband and I were supposed to get married in the summer of 2020, but decided to postpone due to the pandemic. The Royal Ashburn, specifically Rikki, went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were able to have the wedding we had hoped for and were very accommodating in moving our date and providing us alternate options during the pandemic.

Royal Ashburn was the best place to have our wedding. We searched around a few places but the main reason we picked Royal Ashburn was for the food. We heard the food was amazing and we wanted to give them a chance to live up to the expectations. They exceeded our expectations. The food was absolutely amazing, the service was so great and the place was beautiful. We got married in the winter upstairs. But most of all Natalie our coordinator was the best. She met with us... responded to emails... answered my phone calls. She really helped make our dreams come true. We had no idea how to plan a wedding and Natalie made it so easy. Especially the day of she made sure everything ran smoothly. You will NOT be disappointed if you pick this place for your wedding.

TOO EXPENSIVE! Tried to book online and they don't show their rates on Tee-on.com I found out why - they are charging $125 to play 18 with a cart for a 3:10 tee time in mid Sept. I've played there for years all the way back when it was called Thunderbird - nice track but certainly NOT worth $125 to play after 3pm in Sept - you would not even finish the round. Seems like price gouging to me. I can go elsewhere and I will!

Our experience with the Royal Ashburn Golf Club was prolonged by the pandemic but they were phenomenal partners throughout. Rikki was always able to answer any questions and find solutions to meet our needs in very challenging times. We used several of the Royal Ashburn's preferred vendors and their incredible coordination together definitely showed and reduced our stress levels. Rikki also helped manage the flow of the entire wedding day and made sure every detail was perfect, letting us fully enjoy our day. Service throughout the day was very professional and all of the food was spectacular. Many guests echoed our thoughts on the quality of food and service during the day. The grounds are absolutely stunning and well kept year-round. We used the Royal Ashburn as the venue for both our engagement shoot and our wedding. Both sets of photos turned out amazing and they had a variety of locations to make both occasions special and unique. We have nothing but the highest praise for Rikki and everyone else at the Royal Ashburn. Thank you so much for the pride and care you put into your work. We were so thrilled with how everything went!

Friendly staff, great facilities, challenging and well maintained championship golf course, plus a driving range. After rounds there is a large patio area for breakfast, lunch, brunch, and dinner. Shout out to @Brandon McLeod AIM academy instructor who is an amazing teacher my son is really enjoying the program Brandon have developed for the kids, I highly recommend any parent looking for a great teacher program to reach out to Brandon.

We did our wedding reception here in early July 2021, when things were just opening up more from Covid. We had to plan and re-plan things with them numerous times as the policies changed from the government. We worked with Rikki and she was great. The team at Royal Ashburn was fabulous. Great customer service and they really showed they cared about our wedding reception. Were responsive and easy to communicate with. They were also flexible and helped us plan our reception around Covid complications. They let us revise our contract and work within the new Covid realities, given the situation was unprecedented. We are grateful we chose them. Also really enjoyed all of the food they served. Everything was tasty and on point. My only criticism would be that some of the indoor spaces could be updated/modernized a bit (carpets, washrooms).

Golfed here 3 yrs ago in the fall and it was a good experience - if a little pricey. Went back this summer and the prices were hiked again and the course was in terrible condition. I understand we had a bit of a drought this summer, but I played other beautiful courses (for way less dollars) that manged to keep the course in great condition. Shame on you Royal Ashburn. If you cant look after the course then don't charge the exorbitant fees that you do. excuses about the heat are fine, but with what you charge you should be able to afford to keep the course pristine. I will never ever return.

Royal Ashburn Golf Club is a lovely venue, able to accommodate weddings big and small! My husband and I got married in October 2019 via the Cedar Garden, and held our cocktail hour and reception in the Butler's Pub, which was transformed to perfectly accommodate our under 50 guests with the help of our awesome venue coordinator, Natalie, and our team of external vendors. Our vision of having the upper level accommodate seating and the lower level be our dance floor was executed wonderfully. Our family and friends thought the intimate setting was beautiful and had a blast. The golf course is stunning, and there are so many great locations for photos on-site. The food was enjoyable and the staff were extremely professional. We enjoyed working with the Royal Ashburn Golf Club team, and wish them all the best!

Fathers day was somewhat understandably busy. My son was Five minutes late and the pro shop had said we will lose our tee off . I was on the drving range at the time so I thought I would just call the pro shop out of courtesy to let them know. Not sure who answered the phone but he seemed to be in a bit of a panic. When I walked over to the first tee box it turned out they were twenty minutes behind . Son arrived no issue we were just about to tee off when the starter pulled us off because there was another group that showed up late and they had an earlier time. Not sure whos running the place but definitely they need better communication between Starter and proshop. You have to wonder if they are cramming tee offs in . Really not worth the $110.00 each price tag and definitely not the way you want to start your game...

On behalf of my wife Eman and I, I must say with the upmost sincerity, we had the best wedding we could have imagined during this compromising time. Eman and I were so stressed because we had planned our initial wedding in Mexico, but then Covid hit and all our plans went down the drain. We tried our best to find any accommodations whatsoever BUT the only accommodations we received were from the Royal Ashburn! Our wedding coordinator Amanda Gordon was exactly what we had hoped for! She greeted us with such kindness and professionalism, we couldn’t wait to start planning our wedding with her. Not to mention the grounds of the Ashburn are magnificently well taken care of. We only officially had 3 weeks to plan this wedding, but Amanda did exactly everything we asked for regarding our vision, and NEVER said NO to us once! Even when she would get back to us in a very timely manner, it showed us that she meant business! A true testament to what a professional wedding coordinator should be. From the grand white marquée tent on the beautiful patio, to even the smallest of details, Amanda had made everything look perfect! Her staff were very professional, courteous, and understanding. They truly are a dream team in regards to weddings and events. We cannot be any happier that we chose Royal Ashburn for our big day and we would recommend it to anyone who has a vision of a gorgeous and well executed wedding or event! Amanda, you are truly a shinning star and I’m sure the establishment know your worth very well! Amazing job in everything you did and we wish you nothing but long success and happiness in the future. I went here for a friend's wedding so my review is related to just inside the venue. The space was beautiful, well kept and clean. Food was delicious. Its a great space for a small to medium number of wedding guests. The interior room did get warm, but there was coat check the staff pointed us to letting us know it would be warm, the weather was a bit cool outside. But there was also a patio area as well as a sun room type area where it was cooler and easy to have alcohol and food stations setup. The staff were quite friendly and helpful.

Attended 5 star Fund Raising Event for an 18 hole best ball. The course was in excellent condition and very well marked! Staff from the kilt attired gent greeting us and there on were all very pleasant. Dining is excellent at Royal Ashburn.

Just got married in May and my husband and I couldn't be happier with our venue choice! We had our ceremony in the Cedars Garden followed by reception in the Compton Room. The venue itself is so beautiful and the day would not have turned out the same without our wedding coordinator Sandy. She is very experienced, listened to all of our wishes, and even offered suggestions to make things easier. She was so fabulous and I am so grateful for not having to worry about anything because she had it all covered. The food was delicious and serving staff were wonderful.
