Course is nice, but the manager has a lot to learn about customer service. 4 of us have golfed 4 times this year, and every time the owner has left us with a bad taste in our mouth. Aug 1st we paid $50 for 18 holes at 3:30pm. It was sunny when we started. by the 7th hole we saw a huge storm front moving in. after our 9th hole tie off we ran back to the car leaving our balls because of a tornado forming. We requested a rain check and were told "No". After 5 mins of arguing with him we finally walked away with a rain check for 9 holes during twilight hours. The owner only cares about making money, yet failed to see that he would be losing our business forever. After we use the rain check we will never be back. I would rate a zero if I could based on customer service and harassment from the owner. Even the girl working at the courter said she hated when he gets like that... Meaning it happens frequently!

Very forgiving golf course. Not many trees surrounding the sides of the holes so if you hook or slice your drive it's very easy to find your ball. Greens are fast and well maintained. Good price for 18 and a cart as well ($45)

Manager attempted to run me over in his Acura SUV. He was pissed that we drove our carts on the grass (don't ask) as he ran his vehicle over the green and tee box. I was scared and confused- he kept claiming that he charged me for 9 holes- yet clearly advertised 18 holes. I was informed at 7:50 that I only had until 8:00 to play.

The course was alright to say the least. We had a tournament on Saturday August 15, 2020. The manager was outright rude and talked down to patrons like animals. I don't believe she is well aware of what stage 3 of COVID means. You would see her yelling at people in the parking lot, which by the way had more more than 6 feet of distance. However it was interesting to see her hugging and kissing people on the checks goodbye. I told the starter, awesome dude, that she should take a drive to Mill Run Golf Club to see how stage 3 really looks like. Terrible experience, rude manager and threatening to shut the tournament down due to her lack of knowledge. I'm all for safety but her performance was just plain ignorance.

Poor course signage, had trouble finding one hole and almost got into a fight with the group behind as a result. Heavy set woman marshal was very rude and uneccesarily naive. Will never be playing this course ever again.

March 23rd. The course was busy. The only tee time available was 2:40. We had to make a pit stop at the half and a foursome of men got ahead of us whoheld up the whole back 9. My problem is...the Marshall showed up for one hole. After which the slow group went back to there slow pace. We had to miss a hole to get around them and didn't get in till dusk. Maybe they were short staffed.

Nice track but some of the management could perhaps work on their customer focus. We had a misunderstanding about shared power carts that could have been managed better. And the starter got rather surly when some of the ladies in our group went for a pit stop mid-game. Could have been handled better.

Pretty wet out there right now. Greens are in great shape. Under new ownership since last year. Looking like they are putting some money in it, new clubhouse. A fun course.2 really picturesque par 3"s, #3 is an island green and #17 is elevated to a long narrow green. Pretty hard to lose a ball except in the water. Worth the drive especially when it dries up.

Nice Course with lots of variety for all level of players and very well kept! However, the downfall of this course was the customer service (specifically the heavy set woman who I’m assuming runs the course, as she blatantly insulted our group for simply asking how to get to the back entrance). We were also given a hard time by one of the Marshalls for being “late” to our tee time even though the group ahead of us hadn’t even began their tee off yet. Lastly, I was also confused that we were unable to rent carts even though there were at least a dozen sitting at the front entrance that hadn’t been moved for the entire duration of our game.

Love the ability to book as a single golfer, a lot of courses won't let you. Got off work early and decided to hit the links, didn't have time to put a group together. Course is very nice, good mix of par 3/4/5 you'll use every club in your bag. Bunkers are nice, and the sand is a good quality. Greens are fast but still have some softness to them even in this heat. The rough is a little yellow, but that's to be expected at this time of year. Some very nice Par 3's make for a good challenge #3, #9, and #17 are awesome holes. Great course, love playing it, and for the price you really can't beat it.

DO NOT GOLF HERE. The owner is dangerous. He went crazy on us, yelled and screamed and treated us with the worst disrespect. He ordered us to drive the cart to the first tee, but our tee time was 30 minutes away, so we turned the cart around and went to the club house to buy water. This is when he lost his mind. He is not rational. He attempted to start a physical fight with us because we turned around to go to the club house. We did not break any rules. He was not Normal. He was in our face, yelling none sense. We almost called the police on him because we were actually scarred of what he was going to do. Beware. Do not go to this golf course no matter what!

One price fits all? Not a bad little track, reasonable shape etc, but apparently the new owners have implemented a single price policy. So regardless if you’re playing a Saturday morning in July, or a Tuesday evening in March, same cost ($52). Seemed a bit of a gouge to me, but as my playing partners said, if it’s fully booked and people are willing to play, then can you blame them?

Cart broke down mid way through game, waited 20 minutes for replacement then were rushed by manager lady to finish game and then threatened to be kicked out for looking for our balls. Told just drop one and move on. Won't be back and don't recommend .. especially for new golfers

Quick pace and easy to walk as it's not too hilly. A hard hat should be available to golfers on the back 9 when hackers are out playing. Fairways are tight with no trees from fairways 10 - 14. Fun times as always though!!

Please do not play this course. The management is very rude. We called ahead and booked a tee time for 2:59 and was given the twilight rate but upon arriving the owner denied our twilight rate stating the person on the phone should never have approved the twilight rate at 2:59. Brutal. Later on the back nine we were waiting 15-20 on the last 5-6 holes. No marshall on the back nine to help keep the groups moving. I called the clubhouse to complain. The owner came out and started yelling at me stating how busy it is and we can't tell group to hurry up. I told her the marshall's job is to politely tell groups to stay one hole ahead. I was golfing today at the course and a heavy set woman who was the manager, was a complete ignorant and disrespectful person. All I wanted was to have my water bottle filled, and she berated me with questions like, If I go to a convenience store, do they make me pay for water or do I get it for free. I explained that I golf at numerous courses and have never been talked to this way. Her tone of voice would've gotten her fired for speaking to a paying customer this way, as it was threatening. Being an owner of a company myself, with 50 employees, this type of behavior in my company, would be cause for immediate dismissal. Hopefully the owners will take the appropriate action.

Several consistent and reoccurring issues with this course: - Tee decks look as though they haven't been cut in weeks... this is such a simple fix and is mind boggling that they are consistently longer than the rough on the course - Customer service is lack lustre on the best of days - Got rained off the course after 4 holes... when showing up to play with the rain checks we were informed that they are "pro rated" rain checks and we would still have to pay... in 20+ years of golfing I have never seen this before - The greens are in horrific shape... I have never seen so many divots and ball marks everywhere - they search your bags for alcohol more thoroughly than airport TSA - Spend less time searching for alcohol and more time on basic maintenance of your golf course - Marshal drives from hole to hole excessively screaming at golfers to get off the course when rain is coming... unnecessary and confrontational... invest in an air horn? Seems to be an overall lack of common sense and a priority placed on being rude and confrontational. It's a shame because the course has potential to be a very enjoyable round of golf for all skill levels and at a very reasonable rate

The course itself is nice. However, the Marshall kept following us around. He would watch us hit the ball. He also knew that we were beginners and was judging us, telling us to “let the guys behind us go ahead of us,” who weren’t even much better in my opinion. Therefore, I do not recommend for beginners. We all got quite annoyed that he was following us around and watching us hit.

Terrible experience on Sunday. I booked a twilight round on the Friday and the girl on the phone said we could have the 2:59 as twilight starts at 3pm and it would cost us $35 including a cart which is good value. The 1st member of our group showed up and they said they wouldnt honour it. He held off paying till I got there and then we received the price we were quoted. When our other 2 golfers showed up, they refused to honour it and said they couldn’t change it in their system. Funny how they did it for us before !!! The manager could have easily solved this by allowing it this one time and informing us it wouldnt happen again but she refused . Complete lack of customer service as were told on Friday that the 2:59 was ok for the twilight, if not we would have booked a later time as some of our group could only get out later on the Sunday. The course really slowed down on the back nine and one of our group called the office to see if a marshall was on the course as we were waiting 15 to 20 min on each hole and we were concerned we wouldnt finish. The manager came out and spoke to several groups and the pace did quickly pick up as we didnt wait after that. However, when she got to us , she was very rude and stated if we wanted, we could just leave the course and she would refund us our last 4 holes. Her tone was so condescending and confrontational. She stated that it was a public course and it was busy and that was that. Again a complete lack of customer service skills. I have played this course since it opened and have always enjoyed it but doubt any of our 4 some will be back.

I played Columbus on Friday, July 26/21. The course itself was in good shape with the exception of the sand traps. Most sand traps were very wet and most had standing water. The staff were friendly and overall it was a pleasant golf experience. I would recommend this course to other players.

I can't say enough bad things about the management at this course, and specifically, the woman who runs the operation. It's like she's never visited another golf course to see how things should be done. My most recent horrible experience involved a marshal demanding to see inside my golf bag before he would allow me off the first tee. When I explained that this was illegal and an invasion of my privacy, the woman I'm referencing marched over with one of the most confrontational approaches to customer service I've ever seen. She refused to even discuss the policy and would not let my group play until we all allowed her marshal to look inside our bags. We eventually got off the first tee only to be followed by a marshal for the duration of our round. This is roughly my 10th time playing this course and my 4th horrible experience with this specific woman. I've never been subjected to anything like this at any other course and will absolutely not be back. Oh I should add that after the ordeal I describe, there was no beverage service available on the course. Nice job Columbus!

Garbage course. Garbage management. Garbage customer service. Very cheap and do not care about the customer experience. I have experience in this industry and by far the worst place to spend your money. Definitely worth it to spend a few more bucks and enjoy yourself then to be chased around on a golf cart and told you have 20 minutes to finish your game. Always giving people different prices and never consistent. There was a crib with 2 kids in it behind the counter whom were screaming, while the girl at the desk gave me attitude because I was unable to hear her speaking. Pathetic excuse of a business. Not even worth this 1 star review.

Possibly one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a Golf course. First they would not take cash claiming it was due to Covid apparently nobody has thought of the fact that money is now plastic and can easily be cleaned with antibacterial wipes. Also they do not tell you any of this prior to arrival. After getting this all sorted out we were then late for the tee of time and were now told we could not play the first hole. No refund for that was offered. All of the staff we talked to were rude and impertinent. I am sure people will go to this course but I and my party will never return and plan on telling others not to go here. Finally after playing and paid we find that they had held the booking fee and not returned it on the credit card. What a completely messed up company.

A heavy set middle aged woman (maybe a manager) was extremely rude and yelled at our group for no reason whatsoever. This is not how you treat your paying customers. This person should not be dealing with the public whatsoever. If you're thinking about golfing at this course, just don't. Don't put your money in the pockets of management who doesn't appreciate you as a customer. Simply head south down Simcoe Street from this course and spend your hard earned money at Kedron Dells, which is less than 5 minutes away. Why pay to get yelled at by some uncivil beast? To be fair, the staff working inside the clubhouse were fair friendly and professional. To the owner: seriously considering replacing this individual with someone who represents your golf course in a professional manner and treats your paying guests with respect.

I'd give it 3.5 stars, probably would have been higher but the tee blocks weren't cut. It was like the first cut of rough. Hard to visualize the height of the ball. Greens in good shape, not the greatest, but mind you it's only May. Other reviewers complain about the Marshall not really socially distancing, that parts true. But still a pretty nice guy. Never had a Marshall search my bag before. Seems protocols about social distancing and preventative measures keeping you safe differ from course to course. No bar cart girl yet other courses offer them. Among other things. Still good to play this course, just as long as they cut the tee blocks. UPDATE: Played this last week and my nitpick from last year is the same this year. Their tee blocks are not cut short like what they are supposed to be. The greens are still pockmarked but otherwise good. Seriously people, repair your ballmarks, what is so complicated about it?

The new ownership has done a nice job with the golf course. Cutting down a lot of the deep rough makes the golf course easier to play. Very economical for the quality of the course. Only downfall is that there is no driving range and clubhouse. Saying that it's a very nice layout. It's definitely worth playing Columbus.

They even followed us for a couple holes until they saw we could play and then decided we were worthy to talk to in a decent manner. Honestly I'm not surprised why it wasn't full on a Saturday and would never recommend this to anyone. Not worth all the hassle. There are much better courses on the east end.

Don’t plan on playing here past September. Don’t worry they triple check that you paid before you tee off too. Marshall had some attitude about a receipt then proceeded to admit he witnessed the payment. Tee boxes are constantly chewed up, the greens have legitimate mud patches still on them. Lots of maintenance going on with nothing getting fixed, more focused on blowing leaves around. Don’t expect a fall rate either, they just fleece you for full rate in the middle of November.

If you want to overpay and have your round ruined by management for absolutely no reason then for sure golf here. Marshall will scream at some poor young girl working the cash register in front of customers and cause problems that don't exist. Absolute mental case management. $70 for a round of golf with uneven tee boxes and dirt fairways. Excellent work guys

This course is playing beautifully, challenging greens and quick. Good value for the money.

Me and 3 other friends decided to go to this golf course because it is close by and a relatively cheap. We arrived at 3:20pm april 22, 2017, and began golfing at 3:45pm. After the ninth hole, at around 6:20pm we decided to go back to the clubhouse to buy a few beers and we were agressively questioned and blindsided by this incompetent man that is supposedly the owner. He was extremely rude and proceeded to complain to us that we were taking too long. We could barely understand him, but he was literally freaking out, slamming his papers around, calling us punks, saying we were golfing for 8 hours (which we were not) and decided to follow us outside after his tantrum to continue harassing us. We decided not to continue playing because he was so irrational and rude. When he follwed us out he got in my friends face looking for trouble, went back inside, then came out with one hand in his pocket as if he had a weapon. I will never play there again and i highly recomend that you never set foot on that course. Poorly maintained and unethical, rude management. I honestly hope goes bankrupt, but at the same time there was a very nice young asian lady that was articulate and kind working in the golf club that afternoon, that i feel bad for. The funny part is i recorded a portion of our interaction where has outbursts and he did'nt seem to care that much. I will post the video on youtube soon under he title "CRAZY OWNER OF COLUMUS GOLF CLUB". I was so baffled as to why he didnt just say we close at 730pm be done by then simple as that and might have come back. Never experienced anything like that in my life.

- I was not impressed with the conditions, specifically with the tee blocks and the greens. If you like teeing off from the rough, then this is the course for you. - No beer cart on a holiday Monday - Does not accept cash - Poorly spaced tee times, we were always waiting for the group a head.
