I can’t recommend these guys enough. A little about my experience so far. I’ve been playing golf for 26 years. I’ve also been a golf equipment junkie always looking for the new shiny thing to improve my game with the same result. I went to The Golf Performance Project as I had heard how beneficial custom fitting for equipment was to your game. I was also tired of a big box store experience where distance was king and the expertise was low. In two sessions working with Laird and Jason I better understood my swing and how my equipment was either complimenting it or compounding errors.I ended up changing my irons and most notably my shaft weight/flex and the difference has been phenomenal. I can feel the club so much better and my left miss has been effectively eliminated. I’ve pull/hooked the ball for 20+ years. Now gone.... I always felt that the support I got was about my performance and about me achieving my goals. Not about buying a club or a service. The service is professional and fun in a great environment with the latest technology. I look forward to working more on coaching, perhaps fine tuning a driver and achieving my golf goals.

I signed up to get a club fitting to see what I needed and I got more than I expected. It was a full session of hitting balls - starting with a review of my current set and then testing out suggested grips, shafts and then club heads. It was all very methodical while learning about my club head speed and other measurements which go into the speed and direction of the ball. Laird was great to work with and I felt that my fitting session was worth more than it cost. In the end I got a complete set of clubs except for a driver. Laird tried various combinations to get me into a new driver but my 3 year driver performed just as well as the new Tech. So he said that it I would be fine with what I had. His honesty was very refreshing in an industry where sales are important. After I received my new clubs we went back to the monitors and created the new carry and travel distance sheet for use on the course. All in all, these new clubs give me distance which are nearly 1 club better. Well worth the time for improved performance on the course! I went in for a game map session with Laird and came away with a lot of good info and a plan to improve my game. I'm about a 20 handicap and am just picking up the game again after 10 years away. The whole experience was positive and Laird made it approachable and fun. High performance golfers will do well here, but so will those like me who are even just looking to break 90! Definitely recommend checking it out.

I had two club fittings with Laird, both irons and driver. I ended up ordering a full set of Honma irons and new Honma TR20 driver. The new irons have brought my best game, shot 72 a week ago! The driver has also increased my distance and accuracy. I highly recommend the GP Project. If you are looking for improvements in your golf game both swings and equipment upgrade, both Laird and Jason are your guys!

Great, very knowledgeable and accommodating. They have all the tools and techniques for taking a deep dive into your game. Facility is impressive. Only reason I didn't rate it as 5 star is the lack of communication afterwards.

I have had the great pleasure of having lessons with Jason Giesbrecht. He is a fountain of knowledge and imparts enough each session to keep you stimulated but not overloaded. They have a state of the art studio in a great location in Victoria. My only complaint is that is too far from Comox for regular visits.

I was looking at purchasing a new set of irons and went through a fitting process with Laird White. Laird’s knowledge and experiences in this field is second to none, his demeanour and approach made this a very rewarding experience. The minimal cost of getting fit properly is well worth the money considering the cost of investing in new clubs. Golfers on Vancouver Island are very fortunate to have close access to a fitter of this caliber. I highly recommend the Golf Performance Project.

Jason and his team are a great group. They took the time to answer all my questions and even let me observe how they adjusted my clubs, explaining what each adjustment does. Their relaxed approach made my appointment very easy, even when they were watching me swing (which can be nerve racking for an armature like myself). The info I took away from one visit seems to have improved my game. I will most certainly be re booking. I can't say enough good things about the crew. Truly nice guys and would suggest everyone experience what they have to offer. They cater to any skill level without judgement and only focus on personal improvement.

The team at the Golf Project not only improved my game but my confidence as well. It is a very interesting environment to work in because you get immediate feedback making it easier to make changes in your swing. When I make a bad shot on the golf course I now am able to figure out what I did wrong and fix it on the next shot. They have been excellent at following health guidelines. They were also very flexible during this time. I was able to cancel and change appointments easily.

The staff here are really friendly, and they do a great job explaining the simulator software. The studio wasn't very busy when we were there (back in February) so they let us finish our 9 hole match (extra 15 minutes). JR gave us a few swing pointers during our simulator session, which was an added bonus. Will definitely return once we return to normal life.

Their facility is spacious, private (not a range type atmosphere) and has state of the art swing analysis equipment. I really enjoy the focused and detailed instruction from Jason who is a very positive and upbeat individual. The practice sessions are designed to not only work on swing changes but include some challenging golf tests. I believe the combination of instruction and practice provide excellent value.

I first saw Jason in November, 2019 shortly after his studio opened. I have had a wonderful experience working with him at his facility. His approach to teaching has been better organized than virtually any golf pro I have met. He first assessed my swing, then asked me about what I wanted to accomplish and together we came up with a plan to not only improve my ball striking but improve my ability to score. This included work on mechanics as well as learning game management strategies. Jason listens and communicates extremely effectively and will spend time making sure you understand a concept. The equipment at The Golf Performance Project is excellent and provides the type of feedback you can't get with just video. A good example of this was the ability to discover a golf ball that significantly optimizes my ball striking ability. Finally Jason, Laird and John are quality people who will do their best to improve your game.

I wanted to keep the rust of through last winter's season. So I thought why not try out the simulator experience. What a great thought that was. I did the 4 lesson package, and when I went out to play this spring (prior to lockdown) I hadn't just kept off the rust but shot my 2 best rounds of my life. Went from struggling to break 90 (only ever happened once) to really threatening to break 80! Thanks John and the guys. You have a great facility and team can't wait to get back in the bullpen!

I recently had a fitting here with Laird White and had to share my experience. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with friendly professionalism. I felt like they were genuinely happy to have me there. That's all good if the product is sub par, but the quality of the session with Laird was the best I've had and that includes visits to Modern Golf and Hot Sticks. He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and genuine. He had me dialed in with 10 swings and the details he was pointing out were something you'll only get from the most experienced club fitters. To be honest, being in Victoria I had no expectations going in, but they're delivering a product and experience you'd be lucky to find anywhere! I can't recommend you go and see these guys enough!

After working through each one on the decided tsimulator weo stay with the shafts I had and gapped them all properly. Very professional and helpful and state of the art equipment to make sure your clubs are fitted to your swing. I'm happy to recommend anyone who wants to improve their game to give the guys a call.

Had a great time being fitted for new clubs. The guys are very personable and use advanced technology to analyze your swing and make equipment changes that will benefit your performance. The technology used also allows you to see what you are doing in your swing and can be used as immediate feedback for making swing improvements. For this reason it is a great place for lessons or practice no matter your skill level. They will help you interpret the numbers so you can develop the feel you want for hitting good shots. Will definitely be going back and highly recommended for anyone trying to improve their golf game!!!

I have known Jason and JR for many years as part of the golfing scene in Victoria, both are highly regarded. I was having trouble with my irons after a considerable medical layoff. I took my clubs in for an assessment and Laird and Jason assessed them and worked with me to get me back to hitting my clubs consistently prior to a golf trip to Phoenix. Needless to say it worked and I was able to enjoy my golf getaway. I recommend the GPP to golfers of all levels to assess and fine tune your game. The indoor facilities allow you to put into practice the information and training the pros provide you. I have recommended them to friends and several have taken the recommendation to heart.
