Edited: It’s a wonderful place, during winter it’s great winter sports location and during summer you can enjoy a peaceful green wildlife. But recently they have raised the price of the yearly pass sharply. If you live in this neighbourhood you can go to Capilano Suspension Bridge free of change just because you are living there but for Grouse mountain you should pay double the price you used to pay before COVID-19 for yearly pass! Not affordable.

Definitely a friendly beginner mountain. We purchased the night lift tickets. Had a lot of fun. Watch out for the Olympic express lift. The left says it's a blue but it was super steep and icy. Definitely did not feel like a blue run

It was a tough hike up to the top but fun to do and definitely worth it once you get to the top. The Grouse Grind trail is clearly marked and easy to follow, it’s heavily trafficked and has stairs for a significant portion of it. The …

Great place for the views and a walk! Take the Grouse Grind or BCMC trails up if you don't want to pay for the gondola

Ryan Smith

Hanes Valley trail was beautiful but be prepared. The Rock slide area is gruelling and in full sun the whole time. Beautiful views

Perfect one day trip to Grouse Mountain also for foreign visitors. There are so many things to explore, several trails to go, place for eating, lovely views to Vancouver, beautiful nature and much more. You can also see owl talks, bears and other forest animals. Easy accessible with bus lines from SeaBus terminal, then you can use cable car, and other chairlift.

We’re in Vancouver for a short 5 days and the location wasn’t even on our must sees BUT don’t be us! Thankfully on a recommendation, we headed here. Only downfall is $60+ per person to the top is on the pricy side .. especially when there’s no spot on their website advising that their restaurant was closed for a private event. See, our intention was to eat there which made the $60+ price tag sting a little more. However, we caught the sunset from the gondola and peak and it was worth every single penny!! Additionally, we took advantage of the Light walk and it was beautiful for sure!

So..if you if are not in great shape do not attempt to walk up take gondola. Do not listen to people when they say it gets easier higher up lol. Higher up its steep, small trails, and rock climbing. It's a great challenge for sure. Very beutiful! Lots of mosquitos!

One of the three local mountains in Vancouver. It has spectacular views an assortment of activities including hiking and zip lining. There are also some interpretive areas where you can learn about predator birds as well as a bear enclosure with two large grizzlies. Great time for all ages.

If you love hiking you should try the trail going up it's really amazing experience. Normally it takes 1 hour and 30 min to go up. And it's really rewarding view at the top with a exquisite Vancouver view. There are many extra activities at the top that kids and group of friends can enjoy. They have restaurants and coffee shop that has a good price and good taste. You should take the tram going down for a superb view of the mountain and the lake. I surely love to go back.

This is the third time I've been to Grouse, although the first time over Christmas and New Year. It was busy and the wait for a cable car down was an hour, however, the Christmas light trail was stunning, the views spectacular and the atmosphere super friendly. Well worth a visit at this time of year!

Awesome place to come to, they have a decent price for the lift, but not that many runs. We came right before the winter season and it was a nice place to visit even without snow. Many deer all around enjoying themselves. They also have a couple bears to visit. Only issue is, when going into the gondola, there is no such thing as social distancing.

Oleksandra Karman

Took a grouse mountain shred hike. It's pretty hard to complete but worth it. Nice view at the top where you can sit at the restaurant and enjoy hot drinks with food. The only disadvantage is that the gondola ticket costs 20$ one way

Joe Cioban

Beautiful and relaxing place to visit, but lacking water fountains. For the hefty $64 /person ride to the top, they should have offer at least free drinking water fountains. Other than that the lumberjack show is being cut short from what it use to be. The birds of prey show is also being replaced with two lazy nocturnal birds. Back in 2017 the ride was $40. It looks like the prince has gone up with the housing market. Crazy!

A must! You can’t visit Vancouver without going to Grouse Mountain. Breathtaking view.. we enjoyed the Gondola. There was a live show and it was so …

The Grouse Grind is tough, but very rewarding. At the top of the mountain, there's also lots of stuff to do. There are bears!

Cary Molyneux

Ever been within a few feet of a grizzly bear? You can be this close at the top of Grouse. We were short on time, so we took the lift up, and the short ride was lovely. At the top there was lots to see and explore, and another chair lift to get to the peak. On our clear day we could see many mountains and ranges, as well as the beautiful city of Vancouver below. We were above the clouds, and being on a mountain side is a very peaceful place. Live it and highly recommend.

Denise Belisle

The view from the top is definitely worth the effort. Tou can take the gondola to get to the top or you can climb the trail. Either way, being at the top is absolutely amazing!

It’s a very beautiful and lovely place. I really loved visiting this site but I was really frustrated with the gondola. About 100 people were pushed inside at the middle of the pandemic and nowhere our proof i of vaccination was checked. It was much busier than a bus or a subway and we were trapped and not able to see the view at all. Otherwise, I recommend to visit the Grouse mountain and you hike if you can instead of taking that awful gondola.

Nazanin N

Interesting place, friendly staff, very nice views. However, for the hefty price there is not much to do once riding the tram up. The bears and owls are cool but that is really all there is unless you’re a big hiker.

Eden

If you enjoy hiking, why not try this 2800 steps on grouse mountain. Once you reach the very top- it's the most liberating feeling ever! The steps is extremely advance, it's man-made steps with woods and natural rocks. Took me at least 2hrs (including all my stops). Though I have seen one single parent with a 6 years old and baby on her back ????. Gondola rides is about $69+ for going up and down. However if you hike the mountain, they charged $20 ride down. On top of Grouse Mountain, they offer educational activities such as owl show, captive grizzly bears, and lumber Jack. They also have restaurants (rsvp is highly recommended), shops, and Café.

Paulina Noskowicz

Challenging hike but it’s worth it. It’s more about the hike than the view. Make sure you have enough water and strong legs!! I had to take a few breaks while hiking up the mountain and I am pretty fit. So …

A good level 5 hike which can take 1 - 2 hours to complete. Best option is to start the climb early morning to avoid crowd. C$ 20 to be paid on the way down for the Gandola. Paid road side parking available. Apply Mosquito repellent lotion/ body cream plus carry water along the trek. Food, water and washroom facilities at the summit.

The place to go for those new to Vancouver. Amazing food, lots of activities for all the family and a great beginner mountain to ski/snowboard the winter. Has it all

Kirk Dewhurst

Grouse Mountain ⛰ has it all. There is so much to do here. There is the Skyride Tram to the top of the mountain ⛰. You can also hike up the Grouse Grind to the top and get your free ride down. Once you are on top of the mountain ⛰ there is lots to do. There is a Grizzly bear ???? habitat, lumber jack show, Owl ???? show, trails, Mountain Ropes Adventure, restaurant, cafe and gift shop. I’m sure I have missed some stuff. Of course in the winter months there is skiing ⛷. I definitely recommend coming here.

Sanjib Dutta

Great place to visit in both winter and summer. Our kids loved watching the grizzly bears, the lumberjack show as well as the owl show. The views of Vancouver from the Skyride and Chairlift are incredible. Don't forget to wear long sleeve clothes and a jacket if you go on a cloudy day. It was really cold when we went on July 21. It was cloudy and was probably only around 11 or 12 degrees Celsius up on the mountains while at the parking lot it was a blazing 25 degrees Celsius. Bring your own food and drinks as they cost a ton up there.

Pratik Trivedi

Year round activities and accessible by public transport! The best and the busiest resort in Vancouver Lower Mainland

Stefan Moeri

The peak of Vancouver. Breath-taking views and nice slopes. Very well organized up and download times. No lines and no wait times. Super friendly staff. The night skiing is something to try. Enjoy the sunset and relax.

Ellie

I went there Oct last year and it was such a great experience to see black bear in person! It’s a very cool park too!

Tapan Shatapathy

Very organized and easy access to snow and slopes for skiing or snowboarding. Lots of activities for children as well.

Kavi Goorah

Nice and tough hiking tracks. Did the grouse track for the first time and it was very hard. Please do wear proper hiking shoes and bring at least 1L of water. About 2.16km of stairs to climb. Depending on your physical condition and cardio, it might take you 1hr to 3hrs.

This is the place for park riders to go in Vancouver (beginners read other reviews, there's lots for you too). Grouse has good size features and they are set up since day 1 of the season. Their park crew is absolutely competent and although …

Morgane Baudry

A bit expensive, we went on a foggy Day so it wasn't the best idea but even if we had the view, there's not so much to do at the top for the price. …

Jagan Raj Jayapandiyan

An excellent place to visit and enjoy, especially you're newbie to British Columbia. Lot of activities for hikers and kids at the top. Skyride is one with mentioning activity. Restaurant at the hilltop could look little costlier. In winter, you can rent most of the sport equipment in the top

Maryam Masoumirad

My top one experience in Vancouver! Great hike, wonderful nature. Recommend to hike up to top and take the gondola down! You'll see amazing views!

Sayalee Bhanavase

Our first visit to Grouse mountain. It was beautiful than I ever imagined It was the crowded day ever. I even heard this from the people who visited many times before. It took us more than one hour in the to reach skytrain. Views were …

Parag Ghate

Amazing place to visit. Have whole day planned for this place. You will love to spend whole day

Kimberly Pham

Beautiful ski resort with so many activities in the summer and many foods and drinks options. From cafe to fine dining. The view from there is gorgeous. On a nice day, you can see the entire Vancouver! A lift ticket is a very reasonable price not like Whistler!

Chanel H.

We went ziplining in 2019 and had an amazing experience! The crew were amazing, the mountain was beautiful! And the ride up was so fun! Cannot wait to go back ???????? The zipline guides took a fun y selfie with my phone while they recorded us coming down the zipline lol.

Jason Hattrick

I have had many fantastic experiences at Grouse since I was a child in the 70’s. unfortunately this past Monday left both my children in tears. We waited from 9-10 for the gondola and then finally at 12 noon we got our gear and started down the cut. My son injured his hamstring on the first run and the first aid attendant declared our day of skiing to be over. We skied exactly five minutes and my son was taken down the gondola in a wheelchair. The staff was wonderful and I am very appreciative of their assistance.

Fun day snow shoeing. Car parks plentiful and no queues on Saturday morning

Gavin Perry

Good comfortable running shoes are fine for the grind, but any further hiking of the hills beyond the ski hill(headwaters park) require real hiking boots. I don't know what is more sore, my legs or my feet! At 8:30 Saturday morning, the parking lot had lots of room and only a few people hiking. Was quite a bit busier by noon at the top. Was great to have the place pretty much to myself until then. Worth every effort if you can muster it.

Arun Kumar

Beautiful ???? Nature at its best. There are various activities one can do here. I saw 2 grizzly bears. It’s worth the money.

KSP

Loved this place. The view is so beautiful. The only thing I feel is that the gondola to go up and down was too crowded specially with covid more precautions should be taken. There was lots of things to see and do there. We saw the grizzly bears, owl show and the lumberjack show. Had an amazing time and spent around 4 hours there.

Adam Thompson

A great day with amazing views. Stand at the back of the gondola for the best views & photos. Had a great lunch at the top, saw the bears and owls. A pretty amazing play structure that our kids loved. Spent about 2 hours. Used the …

Maria Tomelden

My toddler and my partner's first time to ride the cable car and being in the Grouse Mountain. We enjoyed the amazing Lumberjack show, learned and meeting the owls was a great experience and was able to see the bears. Overall, a great weekend activities and experience for my family.

Berna Saka

WARNING!!!! not for beginners at all but the view and the mountain deserves 10 stars. definitely take the sky ride it is such an amazing place with beautiful trees and fresh air. but if you aren’t a professional don’t even start hiking because going down is harder than going up

Jeremy Kalicum

Went to grouse for a ski retreat for the first time this season. Overall it was a very nice experience and appears to have activities for the entire family including ice skating. …

Randy Dueck

Always a great place to visit. Amazing views of the city and a wonderful spot for fresh mountain air and a place to relax.

Joven Antolin

Beautiful view of Vancouver while skiing. Abundant snow. Good runs for everyone from easy green to challenging double blacks. Come early to get parking. Long lineups though for the gondola.
