Great service & good course
Didn't actually golf today, used the range. Nice staff. Ranges tees are really properly mown and rolled...balls are scruffy and they come out of a coin operated machine...but overall a very good practice facility with chipping green practice bunkers and nice putting surface.
Nice course with nice views. Tee boxes need some work. The starters are the most useless people on any golf course I've ever met though. Cost of drinks are way overpriced as well.
Great layout, greens in rough shape.
We really enjoyed our work golf tournament and the prime rib dinner was exxellent!
Well kept, nice coarse. Good way to spend a morning.
Golf, eat and relax. See Ivaylo tell him I sent you.

One of the best golf clubs to play in the region. 27 holes course that are challenging. Greens and fairways were in perfect condition for November. Would strongly suggest this course to others.
Really beautiful golf course, wish it was summer though so we could play a few rounds!
I am a big fan of the Kaneff golf courses and was really looking forward to playing this course. It was a real challenge with lots of optical illusions, water and tricky greens. I really enjoyed the Escarpment course the best but also played the Canal course. Overall very nice!
Very nice
Very tough course. Greens are almost all elevated and super fast. Any slight mistake is quite costly. Not as enjoyable as I had hoped.

Great course, F&B could be improved. But good experience.
Beautiful course!!
I was looking forward to playing this course thinking it was similar to Lionhead. I was truly disappointed, it was closer to Chedoke. Immediately I was not felt welcomed. The greens were terribly marked up. I've played 30 different courses this season, by far the worse. The noise traffic was off the charts (chainsaw, motorbikes and shot gun fire) I know that's out of the courses control but it's still part of the vicinity that some players may consider. Poor course management or timing: at one point we had 4 groups on one hole meanwhile another hole had none. The pros: they have a spectacular clubhouse and good carts.
Great course, absolutely love it!!
Don't book tee times at 848 when there is a shotgun tournament at 1pm and threaten that 848 group that they need to be off the course by 1pm. What happened to 4 hour and 15 minute pace of play. Your marshalls are grumpy old men. The escarpment course and iron bridge are in good shape and greens are decent. Not a bad value for $55 with cart.
Excellent service!!!Fish and chips were Excellent !!We will be back ???? ????
Royal Niagara Golf Club is home to a well-rated and pleasantly testing 27-hole golf course27-holes, comprising the Escarpment, Iron Bridge and Old Canal nines. This tree-lined and open parkland layout should not disappoint, with many attractive features and several excellent holes to enjoy. One to include on your play list if you are in the area.
This track needs help. The tee decks were horrible, most of the sand traps didn't even have any sand and the greens were beat from way too much play and no one taking care of them. You're seventy bucks will go away further at another track in Niagara
Great course and beautiful views. Challenging holes. Friendly staff.
Great golf great Friday fish fry
This course is going downhill quick. Many years ago it was spectacular and very enjoyable but now for the price you pay it is ridiculous! Once you hit a certain price point there is a certain expectation and this course leaves alot of boxes unchecked!
Great golf course and friendly staff
Good place to golf. 3 nine hole courses. Each one challenging in its own way.
Good course. Crowded T boxes
SLOW....no Marshall, nobody anywhere on any of the courses, kids playing, disappointed for the amount paid...don’t mind paying but at least keep the course moving...with the amount of courses available in this area no desire to go back
Challenging golf course for different levels! Well maintained and reasonably priced!
Great night seeing J. Brian!
27 hole very nice course. Little pricey
Booked on GolfNow for 7:40, shortly after booking GolfNow called and said they needed to move my tee time to 7:20. That was not a big deal... got to the course and after paying found out there was a tournament teeing off at 8:30 on a Sunday. Was reassured since they have three 9s there would be no issues...first 9 went great... got to the next 9 and it was slow... took 2 and half hours to get to 15th tee which was a par 5... drove up to the tee box and there was 7 carts lined up waiting to tee off... we couldnt believe it just ridiculous... we decided to pack it in for day and we will not be back. On GolfNow there were tons of tee times available for this day... I think they are just being greedy and don't really care about their customers, we will not be returning any time soon.
Phenomenal service to go along with the incredible golf course! Definitely go back!
The course was nice and open. Lot's of bugs. Come prepared.
I liked the course a lot. It is more challenging than most but it could be better maintained. Many tee boxes were very chewed up and some sand bunkers have been allowed to fill in with weeds and grass. Greens and fairways were very nice though. The slope from the white tees on their scorecard is 135, but that is quite overstated. It should be 10 less i.m.o.
Nice course but I hate the no cash policy they have.
Needs improvement, total experience was Alittle run down, no food was available, cart girl stops serving at 3pm, slow pace of play. Disappointment for the price charged.
3 separate 9's with a range of challenges and obstacles. The course does require course management to shoot a good round.
Great course great people.
Decent course… pace of play was horrible
Tough course
Nice course overall, great condition. Food at the restaurant was really good and the chef prepared our chicken wraps fresh off the grill!
Fantastic course and staff
Always in great condition with friendly staff and service. Some interesting hole designs and greens are in great shape and fast.
Lush greens we priced and friendly staff
Such a great location! And super people
Great golf course and friendly staff
Great layout, friendly staff, super day in the course! Downgraded my 5* July/2019: Played again this weekend and was disappointed with the conditions, especially the greens and sand traps (lots of goose poop too). Sad the number of golfers who don't repair pitch marks and/or drag their feet on the greens, I fixed multiple marks on every green. But...the course should be doing this too if players aren't. Also, on a very hot Sunday afternoon we were surprised that we only saw the beer cart once all day. With no drinking water on the course you'd expect to see her a little more than that. Based on past experiences we were excited about playing here again, next time we're in Niagara I guess we'll try Legends or Whirlpool.
Great course, beautiful design. Majority of staff is fantastic except pro shop. Not sure why some people conduct themselves as elite, drop the attitude and be personable. Makes for a much better and relaxed experience.
It's a great golf course with good range of difficult, I will golf there again next season
Great course design Lacking maintenance on the greens and bunkers
Great staff and facilities.
Good golf course. Challenging for any skill level
Have never had a great experience at this course with its conditions for the value. Charge a premium rate for a sub par course, this will likely be the last time I play there. As a local, this is the last course I usually look to play, twenty valley/ legends on the Niagara are a far better option for the money. Played fathers day 2020, paid $70 taxes in and felt like it is $30 over value. Greens are slow and in terrible shape, first/ second cuts are rock hard and the bunkers have more weeds than sand. Avoid if possible and play elsewhere for the money.
Had a great time. Plan to go back tomorrow.
Great course. Always in pretty good shape. All three nines are challenging
The layout is awesome but be sure to play the tee box that suits your handicap, especially on the canal course or your lunch will be eaten. The greens were mediocre at best due to idiots who don't repair ball marks and geese who sh!t all over the place.
Not a bad course at all. Very reasonably priced and lots of tee time availability. By no means an easy course but it is scenic and in decent shape. Will definitely play again
Course is in excellent shape
Had a great time doing iron bridge tonight! We walked and completed under 2 hours. Staff we very friendly!!
Good course
I had called a week prior to going to book a tee time here. When I arrived they said they had no tee time but could fit us in because there was a cancellation. I later found out that I had booked into a totally different course by them for that day. Not impressed when I very specifically asked to play Royal Niagara at the time of booking. I will not return..
No Carts to parking lot course does not accept cash, carts ran out of juice halfway through the round
The condition of the golf course was very good and playable. Food in the lounge area was ok and service was excellent. Overall a relaxing and enjoyable day.
Royal Niagara used to be a nice course. Looks like they're not taking care of it anymore. Sand traps aren't raked and divots haven't been fixed on greens for a long time.
Amazing course. Played on Father's day and it was extremely hot. The beverage cart girl was very nice and the first aid lady was very helpful!
Great food and view
Great condition even for November 8th.
Fantastic
Great staff! Good course!
Great views wonderful course
Starters aren’t very friendly. And after playing 27 holes I would expect to be visited by the beer cart at least once. Especially after calling to ask where it is.
Played today, hotdog was gross. Sand traps had no sand. Bathroom was disgusting.
Great golf course
Awesome courses. Love this 27 hole layout. All it needs to be back to its former glory is to have the greens cut on a somewhat regular basis to speed them up a tad.
Love this course
Location
Friendly staff. Enjoyable course, nice grens.
Very difficult golf course. Small elevated greens . We didn't appreciate them slipping a 4 some out in front of us . when we pulled up to the back nine they sent a 4 some out ahead of us .Thats poor!
Fantastic to play here
Way overpriced. Terrible fairways and tee offs. Its spring you can golf other premium golf courses for $60 including cart. Told us on the phone $60 then charged $40 per cart on top. Terrible place! Thundering Waters and Pen Lakes are 100 x better for way cheaper.
Has been better in years past. Spring time, the course was laden with dandielions, and in July there was a whole lot of brown on the course to be charging $60 for Niagara Golf. Much better courses with better conditions out there. On the good side, it has 3 nine's and a decent track when well maintained. They have removed some difficulty on the course this year (trees, replaced sand bunkers with grass, kept fescue down, etc).
Played a couple of years ago and was impressed. Not so much this round.
For the price of the green fee they are charging , I would of thought the course would of be in better shape. Truly disappointing
PSA: I played Royal Niagara last weekend (June 12th) and the ticks were really bad (as they are across many parts of Ontario right now). I had removed 4 from myself and my playing partners removed 2-3 from themselves as well. I would highly recommend pants and checking yourself after attempting to rescue any balls you may hook into the rough. That said I had a very enjoyable experience. Greens were well maintained and the staff was very welcoming. I would play there again any time.
(Translated) Well maintained, however, it lacks landscaping, it is only grass. A reminder should be given to the golfer to repair the greens. (Original) Bien entretenu par contre manque de paysagement , c’est que de la pelouse. Un rappel devrait être fait au golfeur de réparer les green
Beautiful, long golf course. Great shape. Unfortunately covid has forced the very large clubhouse and restaurant to be closed so don't look for anything other than a hot dog and a cold beverage. Too bad. Still had a fun game with friends.

Excellent course hope they keep it open since the father passed on
3 nines, all of them all pretty good layouts. Have had issues with carts dying on the course a few times. Good course otherwise.
Course was in very good condition stag was very kind!
Great course.. no waiting ..Dave in the pro shop was very nice and helpful making sure we knew how to get to the courses we were playing !!
Excellent course tees well maintained.
I played early in the season and the course was in pretty good shape.
Beautiful course
Good value for the price
***EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF***. I visited there only once, but one of their staff members actually rolled his eyes at me. Why? Because I was foolish enough to ask about pricing. I was shocked at the treatment I received. I asked the punk I was talking to (unfortunately I didn't catch his name) about their pricing, and the jerk just rolls his eyes and snickers. Wow! This golf club is nothing like what I'm accustomed to in the GTA.
Went there for a wedding . During the ceremony while they where sharing there vowes, there where workers yelling at each other and joking around . Then decided to grab some golf carts and play number cars all around us . I was so embarrassed for the people getting married. What an absolute joke of a place . Stick to hot dogs an club sandwiches.
Very nice course with amazing views. Could have less divots on the greens tho. Would play again but wouldn’t pay more than $60 with cart
Challenging and in great shape. Cudos to the maintenance crew.
Great value. Course in good shape.
One of my favourite inexpensive courses to play in Niagara. Typically $50 to $60 for 18 holes and the course features a decent level of difficulty for all levels of player. It also has some beautiful views being nestled up next to the escarpment, is well maintained by the staff, and is generally fairly easy to book times for. Definitely recommend.
Decent 27 hole golf course. The escarpment and old canal are my favourite 18 to play! Decent prices and the course is in some what good shape. Bunkers are just brutal tho, always flooded and hard sand. Other than that I always enjoy getting out on this course
I was very impressed with this course. We played mid week and found the course very quiet and played 18 holes in 3.5 hours. The course has a very scenic layout with each hole on the Iron Bridge and Canal to be unique and interesting. Overall course conditions have improved over last year. Greens were in spectacular condition as were fairways. Looks like some new sand being installed in some traps. The Escarpment course tends to be the longer but wider fairways allow for some forgiveness. The course was offering promotional pricing that makes it even more enjoyable. Staff were very friendly and helpful as well. Noticeably, maintenance staff would stop machinery to minimize disruption of our play.... very respectful and appreciated. Enjoyed our day immensely and will surely return.
Great time out. Love that there are 3 9 hole golf courses to choose from.
Customer service is not their strong suit. Show up at 8am thinking that I should be able to get some form of breakfast sandwich, bagel, banana, something you would normally eat for breakfast. Nope sorry he says with a look like what did you expect at 8am. Alright fine, what do you have I ask... We have tuna. Yummy.... Exactly what I was hungry for at 8am???? Ok fine settle for the tuna, try and take my cart to my car and dig around for leftover anything to eat. Nope, can't take the carts to the parking lot... Only GC in Ontario that you can't do it in. SMH. Fine, walk back to car and back to carts. It's 845, our tee time is 912. Only one teen time between 830 and 912 at 850. The twosome isn't at the course , we the foursome that has been at the course since 8, hit balls on the range and sitting waiting are told nope, have to wait. WHAT??? Wait for what we ask? Have to wait for the twosome to go out first. They finally show up two mins before they are to tee off, 850, ask where the range is and proshop. Again ask if we can go since the twosome is clearly not ready. Again nope... WTF, seriously. The starter finally asks the twosome while they are walking to the range of it's ok that we head out ahead. SMFH at this point. Finally on the course, and you can see they have maintained it really well, weeds in the fairways bunkers that have sort of been converted into grass bunkers but not really. Stop after 9th hole for a beer, surprise surprise it's a sh$t show as well. Debit credit machine doesn't work. Ok here's a $20. Nope...sorry we don't take cash. Three guys waiting and the twosome right behind us. 10 mins later the guy says stop in here after your round. On the 10th chased down like I robbed the place for two budlights. Oh we found the portable debit machine. What a novel idea. A backup to the wires machine you knew wasn't working two customers ago. Let's just say I and the other three will not be back.
Payed $90 for a spring rate and the course was not in good condition. Fairways were rough. Tee blocks were hacked away and not maintained. Bunkers were not even touched, which I understand is because of covid, but you are not paying staff to maintain them. $20 per person for carts and the staff was wiping down the steering wheel at most. Not impressed and will go play pen lakes for $65 with cart.
A beautiful Golf Course with very friendly staff.
Friendly staff , challenging course .
This course is like my game, some days great, some days, terrible. Played here in mid August, looks like, just after a tournament. Tee boxes were destroyed. Greens were pitted with ball marks. Little maintenance staff on hand to repair the course. Actually, little staff at all anywhere. Looks like a shortage of resources allocated to this lovely course. I've played here many times this year and conditions can be excellent. In need of some tender care to get it back to the great shape that it can be. (as reported in my previous reviews)
Nice course, a little wet, but can’t blame them for that. $62 for 18 holes with a cart. Good value for the type of course.
Worst golf course in Niagara. I am playing this pathetic course today and it cost me $90. Horrible greens, bunkers are a disaster. No idea where tee blocks start or finish. I am truly embarrassed for Kaneff golf. Shame on you!
Abusive, to the course, players. Needs some tlc. Could be really nice.
course was lovely and well maintained except I had some gangbangers blowing air horns from the bushes by the power lines and i feel that is just unacceptable at an establishment such as yours yours truly Randy Smith
We recently had our wedding at Royal Niagara. Michael and the staff were amazing! They had a solution for anything that came up, like the weather not co operating for our outdoor ceremony. The food was amazing, and everyone was served in a timely manner. The venue was incredible with the view of the golf course from the club house. The tables were laid out just the way we wanted. I can not say enough good things about this venue and will recommend it to everyone I can!
Beautiful course but they should include driving range instead of charging extra.
