We went to dinner, the food was delicious, the attention was nice, and we didn't feel harassed to finish, "which is something that I hate in some restaurants", (in some restaurants they bring you the plate and they already want you to pay and leave). The quality of service is very important.

Over priced and under serviced. Food was ok but definitely not worth the money charge. Staff were struggling to keep up with clientele for which they charge a lot of money. Given the prices they could have done with a couple more staff. Our waitress was treating us like we were eating at a diner with rushed service and condescending attitude - ????!!! The view of the river was the only good part. Drinks were suspiciously anemic on the alcohol. My wife ordered a Long Island Ice tea which she complained about. Drink was replaced without charge but with some attitude. I split a carafe of lime sangria which neither of us believed there was the normal amount of wine. Also, and this is funny, because two of us wanted an espresso after dinner. They said the machine had just broken down however when doing this review, I saw another one a year ago that the espresso machine had broken down! Wow! We had dinner at two other establishments in NOTL. over the long weekend.Both were vastly superior in terms of food, service and ambience. You are much better off going to somewhere on the mainstreet. Very dissappointing for an expensive dinner. Would never go back and certainly would never recommend this place. This place would go bankrupt if it weren't in NOTL. Not a good business model for a restaurant coming out of Covid and with zero appreciation or respect for the customers that keep an establishment alive. I went back over a year to to ther reviews and saw many very similar reviews. Felt like a tourist trap.

Gorgeous views of lake from both inside and on patio. Menus are different though. Salads and hamburgers delicious on patio. Red Curry Mussels are exquisite. Get extra focaccia bread you'll want all the broth/sauce. House salad has tasty rice wine vinaigrette dressing. Reuben is perfect and can order horseradish on side. Prices are in line with restaurants in area, but the views, excellent service and refined atmosphere make this our favorite restaurant for lunch.

They are handling the Covid thing great. Our entrees were wonderful. As an appetizer we decided to share the Brie with red pepper jelly. We were expecting a crunchy outside that when sliced would ooze delicious Brie but it all stayed together and you had to slice it. Not hot enough, I think. The Apple crumble for dessert someone forgot to cook as the Apple slices were hard and not warm either. Disappointing. I must say, they took the crumble off our bill when we said something. Lovely locale with a great view of Lake Ontario, service was appropriate. The entrees were delicious.

+ scenic view, + good clubhouse fare and local brews, - can get noisy Our innkeepers (Hoppy’s B&B) recommended the clubhouse to us since we were looking for a scenic view for dinner, which is by the way rare in the area! From the patio you can see Toronto on a clear day, Fort Niagara on the US lake side and the many sailing boats that cruise Lake Ontario. Besides the beautiful scenery the golf club offers a really delicious menu, which you can enjoy inside the clubhouse or on the patio. It contains a tasteful fare of sandwiches, salads, and a few larger entrees like fish and chips or rib-eye steak. My favorites for sure are the chicken, brie and cranberry wrap and the pulled pork sandwich. Next to local microbrews the restaurant serves wine from the surrounding vineyards such as Reif and Between the lines. Overall a nice casual hang-out beside the more touristy and higher priced Queen Street. Average price for an entrée: CAN $15-20.

On our previous trips to Niagara-on-the-Lake, I have always enjoyed having a drink on the patio overlooking the lake. However, it took a long time to get served and there were limited choices of beer on tap due to the busy weekend. The condiment trays were on all tables and I had a field day watching all the ants going in and out of the relish and ketchup bottles. I realise that it is ant season, therefore better care could have been taken to "control" the critters crawling on the tables. Happy we hadn't gone there for dinner!

Just had an amazing lunch today celebrating 10 years of marriage. Our server Ashley was amazing, food was great and the view of the Niagara River speaks for itself. A gem I never knew about til today. We were in NOTL visiting the shops when we stuck up a conversation with someone who just moved there from Mississauga and recommended it. I did not golf here, but it looks like a place you could golf. I could tell because of all the grass, flags, and the occasional hole in the ground. Also, there were a lot of people with sunburns… But, to be fair, they looked like they were having a really good time. I still don’t understand why people use electric golf carts.

Prompt and friendly service, and a nice atmosphere on the patio overlooking Lake Ontario at the outlet of the Niagara River. Beautiful views of Fort Niagara in Youngstown, New York. The food was good, not exceptional, but tasty. I had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes, and my wife had the pulled pork sandwich. What surprised and impressed us was the value, the soft drinks we had were very affordable, and overall we felt we got great value factoring in the taste and the location. Hats off to this venue for achieving that in an area that is often overpriced! After dining, it's worth walking down Queen Street towards the beach area—some beautiful homes to view and additional views of the waterfront.

My wife and I celebrated our ten year wedding anniversary and decided to come and play golf at your prestigious golf course. It is by far the most scenic golf course in Ontario. We were paired with Lynn and Lisa who are a part of your women's golf league and they were a treat to be around. The layout of the course was remarkable. No hole was difficult to score well. The only reason I did not give a five star rating is because one of your marshals was rude and allegedly said we were playing too slow after one hole. His tone was unreceptive and it really upset our playing partners Lisa and Lynn. However, that didn't sour how much fun and laughter we shared together. We enjoyed every moment and we hope to maybe be back to do it all again. BTW, your wings are to die for. They tasted so good! Thanks again for having us and keep up the great work.

We have visited the patio at the golf club several times in the last few years. We enjoy bringing friends and visitors here because of the great views across the Niagara River to Fort Niagara. Unfortunately, the food does not match the views. Last year we had perch dinners - a delicious local fresh fish. The meals were overcooked, dry and lacking flavour. It seemed to us that the fish was frozen, not fresh. This week I had sausage on a bun. While I was expecting to receive a full sausage inside the bun, it was a small breakfast-type sausage that had been cut in half lengthwise in order to fit in the bun. The bun was dry and stale, crumbling as I tried to pick it up. For the price, it was not good value. Come for the view, don't stay for the food.

This became our favorite spot at Niagara on the Lake. We ate lunch one day and loved the look and feel of the place. The food was fresh and the service was excellent. I returned to play golf the next day. Fantastic fun. Brought my wife for dinner that night and we stayed on the patio watching the boats come in from the lake. Just lovely. In fact, we returned the next night for drinks as the sun went down. A perfect place to enhance your trip to this area!

The views here are great-it is a public restaurant. When we arrived, we asked for a window seating and waited at the bar. I am not sure if there was a miscommunication, however, once we were sat-no one ever came to us. We ended up leaving after 35 minutes of waiting-so I can't quite comment on the food, but I can comment on the beautiful views!

It is disappointing to see the historic Fort Mississauga hidden behind the golf course without clear markings for the access path. Existing markings are misleading and confusing. It is unclear where are the boundaries of the public access. Club staff / golfers make you feel you are trespassing and unwelcome. I wish the City and Fed. Gov. would do more to promote clear access to the site.

The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. To get in, there is a lift just to the right of the stairs. It requires that a restaurant employee operate the lift for you. The restrooms, just outside of the restaurant but on the same level as the restaurant, are wheelchair accessible. The view of the mouth of the Niagara River, the fort accross the river, and Lake Ontario are themselves worth a visit, and the food is also excellant.

I went with a large group and it was an exceptionally unpleasant experience. The food was decent but the portions were very uneven. Our server was rude from the beginning, slamming down coffee mugs and barking at us asking if we wanted coffee or not AND the mug in front of me still had lipstick on it. Then our server proceeded to miss taking my order entirely and had to be called back. Then when the food came the orders were all mixed up, most of us ended with incorrect orders. The server then proceeded to pick up the wrong parts of the order with her bare hands and told us she would come back with the right orders. She never once apologized for the mistakes and while I understand that a large group can be overwhelming, it wasn't as if we were trying to mean about them continuous giving us the wrong food. Finally one food order was entered wrong and had to be redone, which meant that one person in our group didn't get any food for at least 5-7 minutes since the service was already so slow. When the bills came, those were also wrong. Bills had extra food items or drinks that were not ordered and the server was still rude about having to take individual bills rather than one large group bill. I would honestly give this place a 0/5 if that was allowed. We were there to celebrate but instead we were left with a very bad taste in our mouth and very poor memories of this meal. WOULD NEVER recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Sitting at the patio overlooking the lake at dinner time while treating yourself to food and drinks is one of the best things to experience in NOTL. Immacuately located short nine hole course on the edge of Lake Ontario and Toronto's skyline visible in the distance. Fairways could do with some work, but greens mostly true with the odd exception. Be wary of the playing pace, though, and probably book early in the day: The club has no course marshall and with the length of the course 18 holes should never, ever take 5 hours. Fair that everyone is let on, but the starter and club as a whole need to stress strongly to everyone the etiquette of the game: That you always let faster playing groups through to keep the pace of the course up. Otherwise everything bottle necks and the slowest group dictates the pace to the detriment of everyone else.

For our last evening at NOTL, 8 of us book an outdoor table at the golf club with a view of the lake. When we get there, we are told they only serve bar food outside, so we re-locate to the restaurant inside. When it comes to paying the bill, we add 15% but our waitress rudely insists on a minimum 20% tip.

As for the service, we really enjoyed having Jessica as our waiter, not only she had a great a mask but she's very warm and personable. We decided to stop by for some food while biking at Niagara-on-the-Lake, and we were not disappointed! They don’t take reservations for the patio but the wait was quick and we enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake from the Muskoka Chairs available for patrons on the property. We were promptly seated at our table overlooking the lake, with a glimpse of the Toronto skyline in the distance. The service was quick and courteous. The kids had fish and chips, which they touted was one of the ‘best fish and chips’ they ever had. They loved it so much they decided to personally compliment the chef who could be seen from the partially open kitchen. I had a garden salad which was fresh and delicious, and had a taste of my wife’s fried chicken sandwich that was excellent as well. Overall, we had a great dining experience at the Niagara on the Lake Golf Club and we’ll be back soon.

Restaurant - None of the employees were wearing masks, or face shields or any type of face coverings during covid patio season. Felt uncomfortable being there - as many other restaurants are implementing such measures on their patios. Please take into account your employees and customers well being.

Great view of Lake Ontario, a wine menu comprising local vintners and friendly wait staff. - what's not to like. After the Las Vegas feel of Niagara falls and the restaurant lineups for Sunday brunch, it was a gift to find this golf club restaurant open to the public. We arrived just before the lunch rush, you could tell it was locals. That speaks volumes about the enduring attraction of this establishment.

Two of the adults were vegetarian and they had lots of options to choose from (plus they REALLY liked their food). Toddler meals are basic but good portion sizes. Food is served quickly. 5 meals plus drinks came to $100 plus a tip. Well worth your buck!

We were told that this was the best deal for lunch in town. The same tipster said to get the chicken sandwich. The setting is glorious; perched above the outlet of the Niagara River, overlooking Lake Ontario, with views clear to Toronto across the lake. Do not turn away if there is line, because you get to enjoy that amazing view with a drink while sitting in an Adirondack chair. And the food? HOLY COW! That chicken sandwich is the thing of dreams! Seriously. Fresh chicken filets battered and fried up to crisp perfection, served with tomato, lettuce, pickle, & garlic mayo (aioli) on a brioche bun. I got the mushroom soup (which was fine, but nothing special). I wish that I'd gotten the French fries, because the one I stole from my husband was perfection. The wait staff were adorable, providing excellent service. They were always checking on us and kept me in water and my spouse in beer while we enjoyed the view. We sat inside, but there is a wonderful patio that had a chef grilling outside on one end. Both places had fantastic views of the water. Masking, social distancing and checking of Vaccine cards was done for every customer. I felt extremely comfortable and safe while eating there. The only negative was parking. We were there on a Saturday for lunch, so needed to park several blocks away, and spent $15 on it. If you can, I'd recommend walking or biking to the club house.

I sent my family to NOTL golf club restaurant and raved about it!!! What a disappointment they called and told me about their terrible expérience. When they arrived they were not busy and other patrons arrived were served and ate. They waited for 45 mins and when they expressed their warranted dissatisfaction. Rather than being apologetic she complained to other patrons !! When they complained to management she gave them 5.00 discount per bill which was not acceptable!,!! The children never got their icecream. We felt our dissatisfaction went on deaf ears. WE WILL NEVER recomend the restaurant again.

I and my Family went for lunch and we ordered Veg pesto Pizza and Kids meal Cheese Pizza. Both were delicious in taste. The taste of pesto is so fresh. We really enjoyed it. Kids meal is very economical. Just $7 and u get pizza, drink and Ice cream. The size of kids pizza is same as regular pizza. Good value for money. Staff is friendly and taking every precaution to prevent spread of Covid. Good Sevice.

We had a very unpleasant time in this place. We were offered a table beside a bar stand with a very loud ice crushing blender going non-stop. We asked for another table, but the host said that we have to go back outside and wait. Fair enough, but we were very tired and thirsty, so we stayed. We waited 20 minutes and were ignored long enough to realize the distance between the bartender and us didn't meet the criteria of six feet social distance. We noted one table that became available and asked the host if we can take it. With a rude tone she said "I offered you table you agreed to take it, if you want a different table you have to leave and wait in line again." Why? We already wait in a first place for a long time. She didn't say a word and turned her back on us, so we ended up leaving.

There is not a doubt that this is the best patio (for the view) in all of Ontario. Unfortunately it also has the most disorganized service ever. Every time that we visit we debate if the aggravation of the service is worse it. Today again solidified that a table with a view comes with bad service. We sat at a great table, shielded from the sun, and suddenly they decided to take the umbrellas down (citing too much wind, which given that there were 20 stand up paddle boarders not affected was surprising). They aggressively took them down...even the ones that were not even slightly moving...weird). Half the tables were empty yet it still took twenty minutes before a waitress asked us if we wanted to order their mediocre pub food...which the order of fries and chicken wings came to our table after empty tables were filled and served food. Really? My advice to management is invest in umbrellas that can withhold a breeze (today was hardly a great sailing day), and train your staff. I left with a sunburn. Yes the tourist will always come (with such a great view) but take some pride in providing a decent level of service. We had to ask twice for our bill and then endure nauseating insincere 'oh thank you', repeated excessively, etc. etc.

Looking for a place and stopped to see the view and thought why not have a bite. Greeted well at the door and luckily found a table. The view is beautiful and food lovely. Non greasy fish and chips, perfectly done bacon wrapped meatloaf with nice mashed potatoes and a sandwich which was really nicely done and a beer and cocktail. Price was very decent as well. I would def recommend it.

Niagara On The Lake, certainly is a beautiful little town in many ways. Built in the early 1700th century, with period style buildings, with nice restaurants and they even have a golf course. I highly recommend this town, it's a trip that you won't soon forget!

There is nothing more serene or inviting than Niagara on the Lake in the Summer and Fall. Sensational area and for a one day trip it is ideal . We've been to the club before and had drinks and yesterday was such beautiful weather that we visited again. A great view of the water as we were lucky enough to get chairs on the patio right at the railing. They have alot of wait staff there and all were very friendly and helpful ... no issues. We were seated relatively quickly after the waitress finished cleaning a table. I had a white beer and my wife had a peach margarita . Both were decent quality. We also ordered a cheese plate for a quick snack. That's where things went off the rails. These are tiny pieces of cheese ...maybe a toonie size?? And these massive triangular "crips" sticking out of the cheese pieces. BUT the whole plate was clearly prepared in advance as the large crisps were cold and somewhat soft. Hardly crisp. We asked the waitress if the item was pre-made and left in the fridge. She checked and they confirmed it was prepared in advance and then chilled. I mentioned that refrigerating crackers tend to make them not only cold but a bit soggy. She kindly brought over some small toasted bread pieces,.... sorta croutons but a bit bigger.. These were better. We mostly finished what little miniature cheese we got on the plate but left the monster triangle flatbreads or crisps. Kindly the waitress removed the charge for the cheese from the bill. We did not try any other food there and in general it is pretty expensive but I guess you are paying for the view. The location and view is a 5 star rating but the food quality (cheese plate) is mediocre ... Really a 1 star but with the wait staff and location I'd give the whole experience a 2 star. Maybe avoid the cheese plate and order something made to order.

Niagara on the lake, is absolutely beautiful, a place to stop by. Do some sightseeing, shopping and have a bite to eat. Gorgeous flowers everywhere. The golf club looks fantastic, I did not go golfing while I was there, but if you're a golfer, it's something you want to do! Well worth it.

I came here with a group of friends hoping to be seated outside to enjoy the beautiful ocean views only to be seated inside a shack like restaurant. Simply put our waitdress was nice and the food subpar. Actually the food below subpar! Lets just say i needed a bottle of tums and was on the toilet all night , when i should have been pleasuring my wife! Simply put will not be returning. Staff was kind though.

We arrived just a bit too late for breakfast so we ate lunch outside on the patio which opened at 11:30 am. It had a beautiful breeze off the lake and a good view of Fort Niagara on the US side. I had their cheeseburger with fries which was good and filling. My wife had a chicken gluten free salad and peameal bacon which I enjoyed. Unfortunately it was under looked for her liking. The only complaint was an almost one hour wait for the food.
