Stop taking on new members. Create a waiting list. There's no tee times available for the existing members. Then you can raise the initiation fees due to increased demand. That's a better strategy moving forward in my opinion.

golf course was in outstanding shape, fast greens and well positioned on the ravine in a forest of old trees. Its not as spectacular as the marketing makes it. But it does have its highlights and strategic hazards.

My 3 star rating is based on two opinions. First the golf course. That is a 5 stars. There is nothing bad to say about this 100 year old gem that consistently makes the top 100 in Canada. Always in great shape and you never get bored playing it. The escarpment "effect" is always in play and always tests your course knowledge and patience. The membership experience is a 1 star so averaging the two opinions together comes out as a 6/10 or 3/5 stars. Food and beverage are good for both food and service. Most everything else has been disappointing when you consider this is a private golf club. If it wasn't for the initiation fee I would have left this year. This is a typical "old boys club" in terms of how it is run. If you are in "the old boys club" you will probably have a good membership experience. If not you will always be an outsider looking in. I have found a couple of good guys I play with once a week so I keep my membership at that level. Membership is now full and tee times are impossible to get unless you are in the old boys club then you will always have tee sheet access and can simply not show up if you don't want with no repercussions which the rest of the membership face if they don't call to cancel the time. If I would have known what I know now I would not have joined. Initiation fees have gone up as well. Weekend prime times are lottery so you can't book specific times and restricted memberships will run at least $5000 when you included your F&B minimums. Great golf course though and if you get the chance to play don't turn it down as you won't be disappointed. BUt unless you already know people there your membership experience will be disappointing.

One of the toughest and most pituresque courses you will find. I played a tournament here this morning in the cold and rain. Course was in amazing condition. The greens are beyond deceiving. What looks uphill isnt and whats appears left is right. The staff was excellent!!!! GREAT EXPERIENCE for a non-member.

I would not recommend. Customer service at the club is horrible. it just seems like nobody knows what is happening there. Manager at the club is very unprofessional and talks to people as if he owns the place. Businesses like this must hire polite, intelligent, helpful and professional people before Guests decides to take their business somewhere else. It is a nice place but people working there should not ruin the name of the Club because of poor customer service.

Fantastic course. Incredible views with the elevation changes. It is meticulously kept! For the people who rated this course 1/5, you are crazy. You shouldn't base your rating solely on customer service. I care much more about the golf than how I was treated by the staff and remember that this is a private course!! By the way my service was neither poor nor great! !
