After a unsuccessful and very unsatisfying attempt to upgrade my existing alarm system..my provider had been bought by a major communications company..I came upon Stanley Security sales rep Andrew Nafekh. He was the answer to my prayers. Right from the get go he understood what I wanted to do..maybe better that I did. We settled on a system that would modernize my home security system while still using still functional parts of my old system combined with elements of a modern system. Andrew was able to answer or find the answer quickly to my most bizarre questions and it wasn't long before a very personable young installer was at my door. The installer was very knowledgable and able to answer all of my questions and had my new system up and running in no time at all. Once the technical work was done he patiently explained how the system worked to my wife and all. He patiently answered all of our sometimes dumb questions. Our system has been up and running for three months now and has been problem free. It is easy to operate the control panel is intuitive and the price is competitive. Of course the monitoring is more expensive than my old phone line system but well worth it for the added security my new LTE/WiFi system provides. Everyone at Stanley with whom I have had dealings has been pleasant, knowledgable and helpful and able to deal with any issues promptly. I recommend Stanley Security highly.

WE STILL WAIT FOR YOUR FEEDBACK FROM THIS EMAIL. Impossible to get any support. We can't even contact them and we paid for a service that we do not have received. Seller rushed the sale without even doing proper verifications so the zones are incorrect as well as the movement system. This is absurd.

After a few incidents involving water damage, our triplex insurer recommended we speak with Stanley regarding the installation of a NOWA360 water sensor system. We dealt with Andrew Nafekh, who eagerly did some back and forth with the system manufacturer for us when we had more pointed technical questions. To be completely honest, we are somewhat handy as owners, so we researched the price of the system to see if it was worth installing it ourselves. It was not; the Stanley's prices are super reasonable, and we happily hired them to perform the installation. Once installed, the system tripped and saved us from extra potential water damage twice in the first few months! We can't recommend it enough. Plus it's just super convenient when you need plumbing work done!

We could not be happier with our security system, and our representative Andrew was there every step of the way. If he did not know something, or we had technical issues, he would get in touch with the right person immediately and get us help or answers. Install was very easy, the installation tech was courteous and got the install done quickly and cleanly, also taking the time to explain to us how everything works including average interval to replace batteries and even details like what to do to protect sensors if renovating (heavy dust). Stanley Security is a horrible, unethical company. Firstly, after having a new alarm installed only three years ago (prior to Stanley buying the company) we have had issues with sensors that needed to be serviced. The company did not have an accurate zone chart of our layout and acted completely unprofessionally. The main goal was continually to try and sell us new hardware that we did not require or want in the first place. After two months of waiting for a representative to visit us in person to go over our options (the representative never came) we a cancelled our service. We were still billed and tried to cancel two times subsequently. Both time this horrific and deplorably disorganized company has left us on hold for over an hour. Each time, the initial representative refused to cancel the service and transferred us to a separate department that would leave us on hold for an egregious amount of time. This customer care is pathetic. We were finally refunded the amount owed, after three months and three phone calls. However the company issued the cheque to the wrong name despite being given our name as the new homeowners half a dozen time. A month has passed since we finally got them to cancel our account and we got billed once again. This company simply does not care. We researched several people who left positive reviews and several work for companies that are partnered with or are owned by the same corporation as Stanley Security. It seems like just being a company that wasn't unethical would simply be a lot less work. Stanley Security are disorganized, unprofessional, and unethical. They do not care about their customers, your safety or their reputation as they seemingly will stoop pretty low to maintain a decent rating despite their horrible treatment of actual paying customers. If you are considering them please just throw your money into a furnace on a monthly basis. My guess would be that the company that produced the furnace would have better customer service.

My experience is very different from that of other reviewers. I had false fire alarms recently due to a technical fault. When reporting the false alarms, I was sent not to Stanley but rather to an answering service - 2 people there, both of whom were impolite and unpleasant & told me to call back in the morning. It amazes me that in this day and age their system does not allow them to arrange things for the customer - the onus is on me. In the morning when I called, after 20 minute on line wait, I was sent to 2 different services. The first service didn't advise the second of my issue - again the onus was on me. That is not customer service. I would cancel the contract if I could.

Mon vendeur m’a dit qu’ils paieraient les frais et qu’un de ses supérieurs m’appellerait. Une semaine plus tard, je n’ai toujours pas reçu d’appel. On me dit que mon dossier est en vérification. Pourtant, c’est facile à vérifier, ils n’ont qu’à entrer dans mon compte et ils vont voir les multiples appels qu’ils ont fait lors des fausses alarmes. ----- Avant d’avoir ce système, je craignais être cambriolé. Maintenant je suis inquiet à chaque fois que je quitte la maison parce que je crains que l'alarme se déclanche inutilement et qu’ils ne puissent me rejoindre avant d’appeler la police. J'ai peur de quitter mon mobile des yeux ou de manquer de pile. Au cinéma, dans des spectacles, quand on vous demande d’éteindre votre mobile, moi je dois garder le mien ouvert, au cas où il y aurait (encore) une fausse alarme. Pire, immaginez-vous au lit avec votre conjoint/conjointe et devoir interrompre vos débats amoureux à chaque fois que votre téléphone fait du bruit, pour jeter un oeil, de peur que ce soit encore une fausse alerte. La dernière fois que la police s'est déplacée pour venir chez moi, l'alarme s'est déclanchée, mais pour une raison que je ne comprends pas, elle n'a pas sonné. Je me suis fait réveiller pour répondre à la porte par la police, j'étais en bobettes et j'ai dû leur montrer mes cartes et leur faire visiter le garage (zone qui avait déclancher l’alarme) pour leur prouver que c'était bel et bien ma maison. Pas très agréable comme expérience. Avec l’alarme, j’avais pris un clavier secondaire pour le garage. Ce clavier perd sa connection avec l’unité principale dès qu’une mise à jour est déployée automatiquement sur l’appareil. Le problème c’est que lorsque cette situation se présente, tous les détecteurs qui acheminaient leur signal via ce clavier se trouvent déconnectés du réseau. Dans mon cas, c’est le garage et le cabanon qui perdent leur protection. N’importe qui pourrait les dévaliser sans qu’une réelle alarme soit envoyée. Comme problème, j’ai aussi eu des zones hyper actives. La porte d’entrée et celle du garage envoyaient des signaux d’ouverture/fermeture à raison de plusieurs fois à la minute. Concrètement ça se traduit en multiples fausses alarmes. Et ceci, à n’importe quelle heure de la journée... ou de la nuit. Par contre, je dois mentionner que l’un de leur technicien a fouillé et semble avoir trouvé la solution. Je dois lui lever mon chapeau Il est venu à plusieurs reprises pour tenter de régler le problème. À un certain point, il m’a dit de cesser de communiquer avec Stanley et plutôt communiquer directement avec lui. Un vrai pro, merci Stéphane Bisaillon! En résumé, bon service aux ventes, bon service de la part de l’un de leurs techniciens. Tout le reste est une expérience horrible. Je regrette d’avoir remplacé mon ancien système par celui-ci. En l’espace de 4 ans je n’avais jamais eu de fausses alarmes, avec Stanley, par moment c’était sur une base quotidienne et souvent, plus d’une fois par jour. Je mettrai cette critique à jour lorsque j’aurai plus d’informations pertinentes à partager. Pour l’instant, mon opinion et expérience se résument à : un produit à éviter.

I was provided exceptional service from Andrew who was not only clear and professional, but such a pleasure to deal with. My installation timing was not easy as I was having new windows installed (with no set date), but Andrew was always flexible and accommodating as I continued to push the installation. The installer (forget his name) was also incredible. He ensured that everything was installed to my liking and explained every detail of the system.
