TO WHOM THIS MAY CONCERN: Good day, played at your Club yesterday Sat Sept 21st on the Dorian course as per the on-line reservation made through Prestige Golf. It was the 13:30 post tee-time promotion; $39.99 including cart - tax's extra. Our 4-some did get off at our scheduled 14:30 tee time, (hats off to Ron your starter) however it took us 2hrs 40min to finish the front nine. There were no holes open ahead of us from what we could see. I would assume that the members at your club are conditioned to respect the standard 18 hole limit, which should not be over 4hrs typically, otherwise they will most likely voice their displeasure to the Greens Committee! Play on the Dorian should be the same, regardless of public or private play. After our front-nine we patiently followed the group ahead of us to the 11th hole. Seeing the backlog ahead we decided to play the front 9 again, unfortunately others inherited our strategic Golf IQ, so on with the wait. :(, that being said, I am not privy to your membership volume and how many of your members play the Dorian vs the Cascades. I would recommend that when the public is playing, that a Marshall be present to circulate - speed up play. Public players contrary to private members typically do not have a registered handicap. In regards the latter and from my understanding, private members pick up their ball after hole max (based upon handicap) where the public player will continue the agony with that painful snow-man smiling gleefully on the score card! On a positive note, hats off to your Greens-keeper - Greens Superintendent, the greens are in excellent shape and our group consensus was that speed was consistent throughout! But woe to the maintenance team responsible for sand depth in your bunkers, virtually non existent. They were like hitting off of hard-pan! Fortunately, my SB woes were limited to Green-side bunker at #9 and fairway bunker at #1. Would assume that the sand depth and conditions of your sand-bunkers on the Cascades course are in much better condition, otherwise the members shall cry "FOUL"! In closing, I'm not there for the aesthetics, the pool as nice as it appears, is not a water hazard for me and I don't have privy to your dining room in that "SPECTACULAR CLUB HOUSE" of yours. I come for the prospect of playing on a private course for a low price. I guess its the "OLD ADAGE", ...YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!
