Serghei's performance in the parts department is simply second to none. He is extremely fast and efficient. The parts delivery is excellent especially if you have a bowl of candy waiting for Gerry!!!! Also having to deal with the service, the diagnostic team is knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. Lets not forget the Presidential tour given to me by Emmanuel the manager of the parts department introducing me to all the staff members. There is a very good atmosphere in that dealership. This dealership has a wonderful reputation in the Montreal community. The sales people and the repair people have the best of intentions and are very caring individuals who will do the best they can to give you a great deal and to service your car in the best responsible and reasonable way they can. I have heard only good things about them. Volkswagen is a very popular car in the 21st century especially with the young and smart crowd! It is well made and reasonably priced. The people at Centre-Ville are all well-trained caring and smart individuals. I have had my 2012 Jetta for a year now and whenever I bring it to this dealership for check-ups, they are friendly and answer my questions with thoughtfulness and check my car in a timely manner. They don't seem to do their job in a routine way but they all seem to really love their job and people. This is such an important trait for a company and you most certainly can find it at this dealership. If you have a Volkswagen to be repaired or if you are in the market for a deal on a new or pre-owned Volkswagen, give a visit to Centre-Ville first and I guarantee you will not be disappointed. I had the most horrible service at this dealership. I had previously been there with my old car on 2 occasions and had impeccable service, thus I returned. I purchased a used VW with the CPO warranty in Jan and had a couple of issues primarily a water leak in my roof. Cymon immediately told me that my issue wasn't covered unless I purchase the CPO warranty, he argued with me until finally looking it up and confirmed I was right. They verified the car, ordered the pieces and I returned to get it fix a week later. On the other issues I had with my car, Cymon told me unless the check engine lights on there's nothing they can do. He lied to me telling me that the car needed to stay an extra day bcz they sent the wrong pieces, I found out it was actually bcz 2 mechanics were out sick so they had no time to fix my car. To make matters worse when they returned my car it was still leaking water. In addition there was grease on my windows, black dirt marks on my beige seats and dirt on my carpets. Please forget the fact that we are in a global pandemic, but can someone please explain to me how its acceptable to give a client back their car filthy when it came in clean. I called Cymon and he rudely dismissed my issue, told me just bring it back. I went back and the tied to fix the issue again and "detailed" the front of my car. Now I still have the water leaking plus they caused a new issue of water gathering in my door. Now they refuse to fix it. They lied and told me the original claim was refused so they had to pay out of pocket (VW Canada confirmed they were paid) and they said they need to charge me to diagnose the issue... an issue they caused... are u kidding me. In what world does a client need to pay for 2 hours of diagnostic plus parts and labor when 1) the dealership caused more issues than they fixed and 2) I HAVE A CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED WARRANTY which is suppose to be peace of mind as per the vw.ca website.... also I've gotten confirmation that my car's warranty is as good as the original warranty so if this was day 1 with this issue or today its covered 100%. I'm dealing with a new dealership that thankfully is professional and knowledgeable. Cymon is rude and clearly couldn't care less about customer service or care. Educated yourself before dealing with them. Ps the date was 08/12/ 2020 I'm not stupid I know when I went to your shop! In addition another dealership confirmed you installed the weather stripping incorrectly!!!!

Leased a car back in summer 2020, the first sales man would not give me any of his time to explain the car or Features. He gave me the website so I could look at all the details at home. Very poor service. I expressed how unsatisfied i was with this particular salesman and received a call from the manager who then told me that this particular salesman had never had any complaints in his history of working. I found this very Condescending. When I arrived for the second time to meet with the manager the salesman who I complained about decided to greet me with a joke and laughed and walked away. Seems like a very unprofessional team. I work in service myself and this is not acceptable I would highly recommend saving yourself now and finding another dealership. The finance department had sent me emails that had spelled my name wrong every time, and many basic spelling mistakes. I’m writing this on google as an honest review so that people who are pressured by the service department to give good reviews can now be spoken for.

Having already leased a Volkswagen Golf with centre ville Volkswagen i couldn’t think of any other Volkswagen dealer to visit for my first purchase of a Volkswagen vehicle. I had the pleasure of meeting Amine who was able to not only provide me excellent service, he was professional, respectful and went above and beyond to find me the vehicle that I was looking for. Amine provided me with an excellent price on a 2018 Tiguan comfortline and I absolutely love the vehicle! Centre ville Volkswagen doesn’t have that “sales shark” environnement floating around. I felt welcomed and my needs were met. However, there is of course some things that could be improved at centre ville Volkswagen. The communication between colleagues was very minimal, there was at times missing information from one colleague to the next and at times no responses back from other members of the time. Granted, I did visit the dealer in December and this can be quite a busy month. Furthermore, I believe this is something that can be improved by working on team communication and team building. In conclusion, the service was excellent and I felt that Amine and Sarah (who just joined the team) offered me an excellent level of service and respect and for that I thank you! Keep it up! A++

IF I could give 10 stars i would. I went there just to check but one thing got my attention, professionalism. ALL the sales were busy and the site manager took time to be my guide for a complete tour without even knowing I was looking to buy or not. I decided to get a Jetta because of that. everyone is professional and they put customer before all. I just bought a car there and here is my main takeaway : Stay away from that dealership at all cost!!! They sold me a car with 4 rusted brake discs and hided the fact that they had replaced the turbo. I have never experienced such a bad customer service in my entire life (whether it be the receptionist who's rude and doesn't even know there is no waiting room at the repair department, the mechanics who don't know want they're doing (I actually needed to show them a picture of what needed to be fixed on the car) or the used vehicles sales Director Harisson Nguyen with who I argued to have new discs and who was extremely condescending. Basically, it was my problem as I didn't take their Volks warranty. Stay away from this bunch of scammers who lie about pretty much everything and about performing inspection - oh and if you'd like a copy of it they will request you pay a 200$ fee. I will definitely make a complaint to the Consumer Protection Act and to Volkswagen Canada - this dealership and its staff are truly a shame to the Volks brand.

Bad after sale service. We have consistently had issues with appointments and communication with this dealership. The last two visits, we had confirmed appointments, dropped off our car and handed them the keys, then we were argued with at pickup that our car was not there, that they had not seen us in the AM, to finally realize that of course they had our car but no work had been done on it. The time before that, they lost our keys and it took 45 min to find them. Changed a flat tire and they put 40 PSI into it when it should have been 38, as instructed in the manual. When we called, they said that we can put whatever pressure we want in our tires, and when I specifically pointed to the fact that on our bill it said 40PSI had been put in, they told me someone would call me back and nobody ever did. Every time we asked to speak to the manager, they said he wasn't available, and when we finally managed to speak to Mr Chung, he investigated, called back and confirmed all the deficiencies in his personnel, apologized and said he couldn't do more than apologize. He then offered a discount, which he said would be confirmed by email, and then, guess what - no email, no communication on his part. I will be switching dealerships because this level of incompetence this dealership has demonstrated when dealing with cars frankly does not make me comfortable at the wheel, not knowing if the work done on my car was to be trusted, with upper management aware and unwilling to do much about it other than offer words of apology.

Many of my family and friends have other brand vehicles and get serviced at either their dealership or other place. I often hear disappointments. Got my car there. They had pretty good selection of used cars in packages that are pretty hard to find elsewhere and the condition of cars if good. Also they made cross-province purchase quite simple. Sales team is super shady though, they try to upsell with stuff and lie about it. In my case it was GPS module which they claimed will lower insurance cost which in reality doesn't. Another upsell was flat-price "used-car" inspection package which claims to fix issues with the car if any but overall the scope of the works is not clear since it doesn't seem to be a VW's official procedure. Last thing: I'm pretty sure they put very old below-safety tires on used car. I recently discovered that both summer and winter tires that came with the car (as they claimed) are actually 10 years older that the car itself. I was glad to find an exact car I wanted with them, but I probably end up paying more than I would pay in any other VW dealership which is quite frustrating

I was in the market for a new car and had my eye set on a Jetta which I've heard good things about from friends who own one. I came across Centre-Ville Volkswagen's posting on AutoTrader for a slightly used Jetta Highline at a price that was in my budget and the posting even claimed that customers who completed a test drive would receive a $25 gift certificate that they could use at either cineplex, the keg, amazon or iTunes. This to me was the cherry on the cake and I called to schedule a test drive. At the end of the phone call I asked about the gift certificate and was rudely asked if that was the only reason I was doing the test drive. I informed the salesman that I was interested in the car and he said I would receive the gift certificate. After the test drive the salesman said there was an additional charge of $2000 for freight and PDI which I found excessive for a used car. I asked him if he could bring the price down and he said he would get back to me. In the meantime I found a good deal on a brand new Volkswagen Highline at another dealer which was only a fraction of the cost higher than the used one so I decided to buy it. When the salesman at Centre-Ville Volkswagen finally called me back he said he was only able to reduce the price by $500. I told him that I bought a new one at another dealer and thanked him for his time. I asked him about the certificate and he again told me not to worry. It has been almost a month now that I haven't heard from them despite sending an email to follow up. Its a shame for them to have lost a customer over something as small as a $25 gift certificate.

They took me on a test drive within minutes even though I wasn't certain to go with that car to begin with. They knew I had a budget and tried their best to show me options that matched. I managed to save on my car payment which was the #1 goal and got amazing service from Dan (sales) and Jonathan (financing). I shopped around, compared 3 different dealerships and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with my experience at VW Centre-Ville. As a woman of color, I do not recommend this dealership. On July 9th or 10th 2018 I came in with a friend and as the sole customers in the store we were never acknowledged. Whether our skin color mixed with us wearing flip flops shouldn’t affect the customer service especially that our separate income could afford any of these cars. Not a hi nor what are you looking for. Now, I’ve seen this happen before but I decided that in the future I would speak up. I will never set foot in this dealership. As a Canadian from Montreal now living in the USA, I’ve come accustomed to normalcy, respect and great customer service and this dealership doesn't give it to people non-white.

From Edmond, who was a super straightforward and totally honest sales person to the service team, delivery and financing teams this is a first class organization that genuinely cares about its clients. I would've given them 0 star if I could. Avoid doing any businesses with them whatsoever. The sales person Amine would cut you off constantly when you speak and he speaks such bad English. Finance manager David never answers his phone when you're having trouble with credit checks. Promised the deposit money can be refunded if the credit check doesn't go through, guess what, when I asked for the refund, they are like "sorry, we can't refund it, because your credit check went through, it's all your fault". A bunch of liars is what they are. Hell of a way of doing business. Calling dispute and see you never.

I am writing this review because I believe many will benefit from reading this. I had a confirmed appointment with Natalia over email regarding a Golf R visit so that we could test drive the vehicle before the purchase. My partner and I arrived at the dealership and were greeted by Edmond Salamouny (sales agent). He was very extroverted and kind at the beginning of this meeting. I had thought about potentially doing a trade with my current vehicle. The financials of the trade meant if I were to walk away with the Golf R, I would have had to absorb the loss as Edmond said his wholesaler wasn’t interested in the car. We needed to think about this, but meanwhile we asked to test drive the R as this was one of the intended goals of the meeting. Edmond comes back and tells us “it’s already sold”. No explanation or any regard about our time amid a pandemic. I felt frustrated, but kept myself calm and told Edmond that “we don’t appreciate being kept in the dark and the lack of transparency “. This is where Edmond began raising his voice as my partner and I were leaving and we simply walked out. The bottom line is that we had an appointment and as soon as we signaled that we weren’t going to purchase the vehicle right away, we were treated with disregard from this dealership. Edmond said he’s been in the business for 25 years ... his behavior is sweet at first, but very aggressive if you’re not buying on the spot. Who makes a decision without a test drive? Isn’t our time in a pandemic worth anything? These are questions this dealership should address with their salesman, especially Edmond Salamouny because one thing is for sure, I or my circle of family and friends will not be doing any business with Centre-Ville Volkswagen. Worst service I ever got. I dropped the car at 7:30AM ; I booked the earliest appointment possible (7:30AM) because I absolutely needed the car in the evening. I was told by the agent that the car should be ready before 5PM. I just happened to be around the service centre around 3PM and thought I'd pass by to enquire about the repairs. The rep explained that the car will only be ready the next day because '"a lot of work is required". When asked about a courtesy car, they didn't have any. They wanted me to rent a car from them. No one in the whole service centre had the discretion to offer a courtesy car or a store credit for the rental.. I advised the rep that I booked the earliest appointment possible (7:30AM) because I absolutely needed the car in the evening. The rep admitted that THEY DIDNT EVEN START THE WORK ON THE CAR, although the are aware it needs "a lot of work". All the reps seemed indifferent to customer satisfaction. I told them to cancel the work sheet and left with the car. All this to say, very bad service, very bad customer service. Unprofessional team.

I have never been treated with such disrespect in my life! I had a previously owned volkswagen shipped to Montreal and through a string of events it ended up at this dealership (where I have previously come for service to my old VW). I was told that the dealership was doing me a huge "favour" by helping out. Truth is that they were no help whatsoever, they told me that I was "wasting their time" by trying to make arrangements over the phone and I was humiliated by their used car manager who clearly had better things to do than to help a long standing VW customer (my family has bought at least 7 new cars from VW in the past - without a single problem until now). In my view, this dealership is just a 'bad apple' that does not take the VW mantra of "customers first" seriously. Based on some of the other posts, you'll probably be treated well if you drop a lot of cash and don't make a hassle but if I were you I I would look to the many other VW dealerships in Montreal before coming here - I certainly will never return to Centre-ville VW.

Received THE BEST care from the service department this week. After selling our old Tiguan in March, we test drove many other vehicles before making the decision to purchase another Tiguan. The key deciding factor - our dealership at home (Vantage Motors in Truro, NS) treats us with amazing customer service every time we walk in the door. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that I would receive the same above-and-beyond treatment at a dealership in downtown Montreal located with a random google search. Here’s my story: My husband and I were married in Nova Scotia on Saturday. While driving to Montreal on Sunday for the first stop on our honeymoon, he dropped his wedding ring in the dash vent of our Tiguan. We googled the closest VW dealership to our hotel in Montreal and explained our dilemma. We dropped our car off at Centre-Ville Volkswagen before 8am the next morning and they spent the day fishing for his ring. Not only did they locate the ring, they treated us with humour, kindness, and respect. They gave us a great deal, and an even better story to tell for years to come. The service staff bought us a matching set of VW travel cups (white for the bride, black for the groom), and you can bet every morning on my way to work I will drink my coffee out of my mug and think about our amazing start to married life here in Montreal - all thanks to Ignacio and the rest of the service crew at Centre-Ville VW.

Requests were repeatedly ignored and when the case was mediated through the BBB I called them on it and again requested a copy of the CPO inspection certificate. Those people need a course on courtesy and professionalism. Got there at 720AM for a recall on my VW. Advisor was fine, but when I got out to the parking lot - another customer was looking at my bumper - he just backed up on it.... Then the shop supervisor Vincent Borsellino started screaming at me saying that they weren't responsible for stuff happening in their own parking lot ! - that I had signed the disclaimer - (ya, those unreadable characters on the work order.). What a way to start the week, not even 8am, and being screamed at by the supervisor at your car dealership ? really ?. Never once he excused himself for being so rude and unprofessional. Also, this service shop does not communicate with their sales dept. So if you can't get out of the office before 5pm, forget your car until the next day, because they won't give the keys to the sales dept. Worse overall experience I had with the service dept of a car dealership - If you can stay away from it, please do. If not, be sure to protect your car, because if it gets hit while in there, its not their fault - and beware of their screaming supervisors....

I knew Centre-Ville VW has done renovations and expanded their showroom, but I haven't really checked them out because their service building is on the opposite side of the block and I just kept passing by, until the day when I came in to get my new Passat. I have to say, this is perhaps one of the most impressive dealerships I've ever seen! They have this mega and very high tech car storage, the first thing that strikes the eye from outside, seeing all the cars stacked on metal shelves, on 4 levels, all clean, lit up and all of them are inside! Impressive! I've been dealing with Jay for almost a decade now, he is the best. In fact, I know all the team by now and they are all absolutely amazing and very dedicated to their work. Excellent buying experience. Big thanks to you Centre-ville VW. Oh, and I absolutely love my new Passat TDI Highline! What a car!

I've dealt most with Cymon and Mahdi (sp?) in the service department, and overall, they've done an obviously great job: I would recommend their service side. I came to Centre-Ville after bad and mediocre experiences at another Montreal-area dealer. I haven't had as good an experience with the Centre-Ville sales team unfortunately and the policies of the dealer himself are on the cheap side. For example, I had a problem at 500km over warranty and though VW of Canada would cover me with 75% of the repair cost, the owner at Centre-ville would not contribute anything because I hadn't bought my car from them. I was satisfied with the cost but not with Centre-Ville in this case: on a premium-trim hatchback, where I'm paying top dollar for maintenance and service regularly, I found that really petty. I find it petty as well that they offer front-wiper set with a service but by policy won't substitute a rear wiper - that's not flexible, and not customer-friendly. C'est la vie I guess. I feel mixed about my overall experience with Centre-Ville.

He has always gone beyond the call of duty to make sure that we are well taken care of and happy with our purchases. He is always ready and willing to answer questions, spend as much time as necessary presenting us with different options and making sure we are satisfied with our purchase. This is the first time I ever posted a review of my experience purchasing a car and wanted to get the word out. I have been shopping for a second car over the past few months, I finally chose to purchase a 2015 Golf from Centre-Ville VW. Jay called me to setup an appointment to transfer the ownership to me. I showed up a little early and went to the waiting area where there was cookies, and was offered a espresso or cappuccino. Jay explained the contract contents from A to Z and answered all my questions. As we were going through the contract, Fay walked into Jay`s office and introduced herself to me and congratulated me on the purchase of my car. When we finally went outside to look at the car, Jay took the time to walk with me around the car and explained every feature inside and outside so that I can fully take advantage of everything my golf had to offer. These guys are 100% champs, from main receptionist to sales. I am sure after sales service will be just as professional. Will recommend them to friends and family.

I have never written a review before, but due to the worst customer service AND car service I decided to do so. I recently had problems with my rear tire. I was told by my advisor from the West-Island location that it was most likely a nail in the tire. I decided to make an appointment downtown because I lived near by and I was rushing to the states for the weekend. I specifically told service about the nail situation. I was there for over an hour and was told that there was nothing wrong with my car. The night I came back from the states I had a flat tire again. I went to West-Island they found the nail in my rear tire, fixed my tire properly AND didn't charge me for service. I called service downtown to explain they didn't do the job correctly and I'd like a refund. Not only did they miss the (potentially dangerous) problem, each individual I spoke with at Volkswagen was extremely rude, unapologetic and unhelpful. One person actually shifted the blame on me. In addition, I was told it would be reviewed - never received a call. I will NEVER return to this location.

Me and my husband were going to buy an Atlas, this was the 3rd Volkswagen store we went. (The first two store were either gave very bad service or cheated on the price,by the way.) We met Dannie the very nice new salesman and became his first client, and we were very lucky to met the manager Daniel, he is incredibly good, very professional, very reasonable and very helpful. He gave us reasonable price, solved problems after the purchase. I have to say if it’s not because of Daniel’s good service, we probably give up Volkswagen and buy a Honda instead. I made an appointment for a warranty inspection. I went at the agreed upon time to discover that they never recorded the appointment, and then asked to keep my car for two weeks because they were completely booked. On top of that, they wanted to overcharge me on the labour. I discovered this because I made an appointment with Volkswagen Popular the next day and was told it would be 3 hours of labour max. This dealer wanted to bill me for 9 hours which would be well over $1000. Moreover, they told me to kick rocks with regards to transportation after leaving the car, whereas the other dealer offered me a lift before I even asked. I will never attempt do business with this defunct establishment ever again.

I didnt have an appointment, but these guys told me to drop off my car and they would find time (regardless of the fact that they were short staffed).
