Love , love, love Midland!! I would give it 5 stars except the burgundy tees are often sat forward in the fairway and are very unfair in that they are uneven and not level. A proper tee block (especially for weaker golfers) should be the best place to tee off.

I went here for 9 holes recently. Very nice course, forgiving since there isn't much water. Lots of woods to get into trouble in off the tee but most fairways are fairly wide. The course and greens are in great shape. After the round, we had a meal at the clubhouse and the food and service was great. The pro shop attendant was very nice as well. The only negative was the marshall, who came up to us after 7 holes and said it was clear ahead of us and we had to pick up the pace (I know that there was a twosome ahead of us whenwe started). He was kind of rude. We weren't golfing slowly at all; we were a foursome. We looked at the time and we thought our pace was fine and continued on at the same pace, finishing 9 holes in exactly 2 hours which is very respectable and under the standard 2 hours and 15 minutes (i.e. 15 minutes per hole for a foursome). He knew our start time, so I expect better from a marshall and he should not be bothering people needlessly. Other than that I definitely recommend this course.
