Good course overall. But then young staff who are in charge of maintenance for the course were constantly riding around on golf karts off the gravel track and interrupting our game by swapping our flags. Very annoying.

Love the course! Have played here for years and it is great! However, after reading the comments about new management and the garbage attitude and customer service I received from the guy in the pro shop over the phone when inquiring for a tee time on Sunday, all of the comments are adding up. No real rush to go play there now. Disappointing.

Fantastic course, great mix of elevation and landscape. Several super wide fairways, and a few tree lined areas to keep you challenged. Staff was über nice, especially the bev kart pro!

Close to Winnipeg, decent drive. I walk while golfing so to me a walkable course is good quality, I appreciate this. Spring golf rate so nice touch there. River is high this year but still very playable course. No real signature hole to write about. Restaurant is fair and decent. Enjoyable par 3 holes. Good to get out for first game of the year.

Price is good but mosquitoes are terrible. Fairways are nice, greens are not so good. Get what you pay for.

I like the rural setting even though it's only 10 minutes from the Perimeter. Nice layout and views of the LaSalle River. I've played in the Men's League here for several seasons and enjoyed the good-spirired competition. Always in good to very good condition! Cheers!

Had a great day. The grounds were wet from a heavy thunderstorm the night before. However, the staff warned us of the 90 degree cart holes. I had my very first hole in one on the Par 3 12th hole! This golf course will always be a place I will play. Friendly staff and a decent menu offering for food.

Good public course. Every green was in pretty good shape except 9 which is a little disappointing as it's their "signature" hole, but the rest were pretty good. A couple yardage markers were off as well which can be a bit frustrating. Overall though good value for the quality of course. Will go again.

Have been playing lots of different courses to see where to get a membership next year. The GM Dave was extremely rude and unaccomidating, same thing with the other old guy I spoke to. I was very unimpressed with the employees. The course itself was in rough shape, not very well taken care of in comparison with other public courses in/around Winnipeg, also thought it was very expensive for the condition of the course. I will never return to this course! Save your cash and time and go play elsewhere!

The Drive there is dusty and filled with potholes. its a nice course reasonable priced. Todays game with 3 people took 5+hours. waaay to long. No Marshall in sight.

A decent 18 hole course outside of St Norbert that I like due to the grounds being in great shape and the delicious food menu in the club house. Prices are reasonable for green fees and food /drinks and staff are friendly.

Disappointed.. Get a new manager I just read the post below and now I get it, they have a kid running a golf course, but this is ridiculous.. Showed up to my tee time as it is sunny and a high of 15 with no wind and they are closed... I didn't get a call or anything! How do you not let people know their tee times are cancelled and the course is closed. Could have booked somewhere else. By the way if that post below is right that is crazy. Get a real golf pro to run it.. it's covid and courses are packed..

The course is nice, and relatively easy. There are quite a few rough spots on the tee boxes and fairways. Would be a really nice course if it was in better shape.

River Oaks has a nice layout for a course but appears to be poorly run. During my two visits this year, I was left scratching my head with some of their decisions. Some of the obvious complaints would be not having a beer cart on the course on a Saturday, not having a marshal on the course to ensure the proper behaviour of its visitors, having employees not wearing masks in the clubhouse despite a mandatory mask sign on the front door, etc. I feel this course is at a cross roads with its identity. Judging by the price you pay they appear to take themselves as a serious course, but judging by how it's run (beer cans found on the fairways, groups of 8 permitted to golf together, tire skid marks around the green, etc.) it's more of a party course.

Brutal new management. Used to love this place for either rounds with friends or to take my kids but it's gone soon downhill this year fast. It was a great family course that was fairly well kept and had some very fun holes. But now... They have all tee boxes closed and did not seed or spray anything as they have let them become piles of mud. No aerating done either which is strange because any manager that knows anything has done that early season this year. Expect to hit fairway and have your ball stop in mud 80% of time while in bounds. They have not blown out any leaves or anything this year. Popped by there on my way to work with the snow and notice that they didn't even tarp any greens before the snow! Expect the greens to be trash this year. The sand traps are not even playable as they haven't filled them up in a very long time. The fringes are 4 different colours and half mud. I would not be surprised to hear there is absolutely no maintenance person working there right now. New manager this year is a 20 year old who is running the place into the ground. Manager was driving around the course drunk last weekend and I saw him interrupt the group putting on a hole beside us.. they looked upset but I would have been furious with how it happened. I don't expect him to go anywhere as he must be family with owners or something. Just a shame as this course has so much opportunity if they brought in a pro to manage. I will be playing John Bloomberg instead as they seem to actually have it together this year. Bit closer to me too but normally I would have gladly made the drive.

Nice family owned, public golf course. Medium difficulty, with a couple tricky greens, but overall an easy to medium difficulty level. It takes about 4 hours to get through all 18. Staff are all very friendly, and very accommodating. The service in the restaurant is very casual, and all the food is better then expected. Overall a great course, and I will look forward to coming here again.
