You must have seen that its rating is very good, and it's founded on a large number of opinions, so we can say that the score is very accurate. If people have bothered to leave their opinion when they are satisfied with the service, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to give feddbacks when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Golf is included in the category of Golf course.
Love this place. This is a go to for me every year. A perfect course for our small tournament of 24 guys (50/50 mix of serious golfers and casual golfers). Staff is accommodating, professional and easy to work with. The marshals employ the perfect balance of understanding and encouraging strong etiquette and decent pace of play without being overbearing.....all while knowing when to lay down the law so others aren't affected by slow play. The beverage cart service is decent and blends well with the fact that you pass the snack shack 3 times over 18 holes. Course has always been in good shape (mid summer) and the greens are always consistent. The resort office staff has been excellent and extremely helpful in finding a good package for our group. Accommodations are always clean and extremely close to the amenities and entertainment found in the village. We used to stay and play "off-site" for a less expensive experience but the inconvenience wasn't worth the money saved. The return of a larger investment to play at the resort course, while staying on the resort is well worth it and our group wouldn't bother with any other arrangement. Walking to the golf course from our room, never having to use our car, walking to dinner and late night entertainment....all within 5 minutes of our front door. Park the car and don't bother with it until check out. As the organizer of our group, I've been impressed with the staff (Rob, Melissa, etc etc) as they've always been readily available to answer my questions and remind me when my application process was approaching a deadline. Great staff to work with. Never a point where I felt as though they weren't working for what was best for me. Strongly recommend Monterra/Blue Mountain resorts for groups or just a casual round of golf. Great course, superb staff both on the course and in the office, and clean, convenient accommodations. A perfect gathering for anyone wishing to mix a golf getaway with the lifestyle found in the village.....all in one place. This will be our 16th annual event and we've been all over Ontario to find the perfect balance of overall golf course enjoyment, food and beverage options nearby, clean & convenient accommodations mixed with a level of customer service that help elevate our weekend. So far, Monterra at Blue Mountain easily satisfies all of the above.
Pretty tough course but fun.
Not a bad course but its over priced because it's in the Village. Parking and parking lot in relation to the club house is a mess. Go out of town and play Batteaux Creek for half the price... at least you will get a parking spot...
Course is well maintained. Tee times are overloaded and tons of waiting. Was very slow.
Great fairway conditions. Greens rolled well. Target golf!
Gave back a refund immediately when weather cancelled our round
I got soooo drunk during a coors tourney here
Friendly staff
The golf course was in good condition; however, the club house leaves a lot to be desired. The outdoor area beyond the snack bar was not well cared for. Plastic chairs and tables and the planters were all dead. There was a problem with the fridge at the snack bar, therefore, they were not selling beer at the clubhouse. For a very nice golf course (in a higher price bracket), in a very touristy area, we were quite surprised at the lack of ,and condition of, the amenities.
It's a nice course with some annoyingly placed ravines.
Parking was a nightmare after the village reached COVID capacity. Track was in excellent shape and service was great. People need to learn to fix ball marks on the green!
Not my favorite lay out but the course is in good shape. Very slow
Course is in great condition. Great views, nicest houses, challenging holes...Even though there was no cart girl, you hit the “halfway house” every 4 or 5 holes so we had lots of chances to get drinks and food. 15 minutes between tee times this summer means you’re never waiting and never pushed by other golfers. Our two groups of 3 had a great time and I would definitely come back.
Awesome course
I been a member for 7 years now. The food selection at The Sanctuary has gone downhill to the point that today there was NO FOOD AT 11 AM after I finished the 4th hole and again NONE AT NOON HOUR after finishing 9. I felt bad for the staff working, they kept apologizing, even though it's not their fault. A few years ago, they had great paninis, you could order ahead from the cart GPS screen when you teed off on 4 or 9 and it was ready and waiting. Then they got rid of those, but had awesome wraps. They're gone now too. Now they have sandwiches, which leave a lot to be desired, even when they're actually there. My review addresses The Sanctuary only, NOT staff or the condition of the golf course.
My favorite course of all time. Love their rentals.
Course is in excellent condition. Staff super friendly.
Challenging well maintained course with a good selection of tee distances.
Relaxed golf with well kept greens
Challenging course, however the greens were aerated and playing terrible. Alot of water standing in areas. At the price point you expect better upkeep.
Golf course in great condition. Very picturesque.
My favourite golf course. The course is a little challenging but very enjoyable. The price is reasonable. The on board ordering system on the golf carts are pretty awesome.
Abysmal customer service on the part of Ryan. Very little willingness to cooperate and help our party enjoy a day of golf.
Excellent shape very good course very challenging course greens excellent it's worth the money that come
Conditions great as always and staff was awesome
Course is in great shape, however, it's a nightmare to park. They need to have parking spots reserved for golfers.
Extremely challenging, breathtaking scenery, amazing experience.
Difficult but amazingly conditioned course. Very beautiful and the people who were regulars and staff were awesome. My first time there and they made my wife and I fell feel very welcome. We're coming back and bringing our family to show what a great place this is.
Super friendly amazing services.
Monterra is a challenging, yet all-levels playable track. It's beautifully maintained, with picturesque views of the Blue Mountains. A memorable golf experience.
Starter on 09/21/2019 was pompous, rude and unhelpful. If that's how he treats guests, he needs to go. The pro shop lady also was very rude. We had booked 4 tee times and they told us that there would be 2 groups put between us. The starter told us that is how they arranged it. We said no and his response was to bad go somewhere else then. The groups that were to go between us even said that is a bit ridiculous we will go after them. The starter still didn't want that to happen. If you don't like people then you shouldn't be working with them...Act like a high end golf course!
Challenging course with gorgeous vistas -- especially in the fall. Target golf with tricky greens. Loads of fun.
Blue 90. This course is in excellent condition, as good as Batteaux Creek. I was alarmed at first for the first few holes since I was putting up 6s but once you get used to the design and the distances it settles down. I found the distances shorter than they looked even though the carts have GPS screens. Almost all the holes are a good mix of beauty and challenge and its amazing value for the money. Keep in mind there is no room for a driving range so find one before you arrive. The only suggestions for improvement are (1) add a cart person service for drinks (although this is partly answered by snack shacks at two two holes on the course). (2) get a bigger sign to advertise the course, and get signage on the main highway (this is the same problem Battaux Creek has). (3) level out the tees - the blues were bowed on quite a few holes. I would say this course is slightly easier than BC, LB and CB but not by much. I will definitely return here for another round in the Fall when the colours are out.
Nice course. a little tough for me, narrow fairways with lots of OB with houses beside almost every hole

Golf course was in good shape. Personnel could have been a bit friendlier.
Beautiful course layout. Well maintained.
Beauty!
Wonderful course. Very surprised with the level of play. If you slice watch out for the expensive homes :)
Great course in good condition. Beautiful location on Blue Mountain . Close to the village. Friendly and helpful staff. Definitely would play here again.
Coarse was in great condition! Wait till 4pm and save $40. $100 a round is really steep!
I enjoyed this course Staff was friendly it was challenging but in my opinion its overpriced. It was good experience but i wouldn't rush back to play it again.
Beautiful course, great staff, fair rates. Couldnt ask for much more.
Was at a friends right beside it.
Nice course. Twilight prices are great
One of my early designs that I am exceptionally proud of!
Starter on 08/10/17 was pompous and unhelpful. If that's how he treats guests, he needs to go. Act like a high end golf course!
Tons of variety and challenge.
Attendant at the bag drop was courteous, professional and very welcoming making the facility feel as it were a private facility...great job Moterra Golf Staff!
Course in good condition, greens were fine and true. Course meanders in around property not that scenic as blue MOUNTAIN area may suggest. Tee was 4pm but staff wouldn't give me key for cart untill 2 minutes to 4pm? Why?. Cart staff were not that friendly. I only got to 13 holes as heavy rain and lightening came on. Not allowed to return another day to play rest of Holes. A bit poor and not customer friendly for that decision. Hardley cost them any money to let me play rest of Holes.
Awesome course. But what I love about this place the most, the carts! The map was cool, helped identify how far to hole and you could order drinks to your location. I've never had a cart like that! Course was clean and well maintained. Good challenge, lots of traps and water hazards and lots of green fairways. I would play here again if I were in the area
Course refused to let me join my boyfriend for a round we had booked as just a “rider”. I wasn’t going to be playing, just riding along in the cart and was refused. Even after offering to pay admission for me to just sit in the cart and join along for the ride, they said I had to have clubs which I did not as only my boyfriend was playing. We were not about to rent another set of clubs on top of everything else. We ended up cancelling the tee time. They stated I was taking away another spot from a golfer even though I wasn’t as they still could have easily sent out 3 more golfers with my boyfriend as it still would have only been a foursome and with covid protocols it is not uncommon to see more than 2 carts per group anyway these days. Just made no sense as I was not able to go with my boyfriend due to not having my own clubs, yet if I had my own clubs and didn’t swing them I could have gone. It was a very frustrating experience and as a result won’t be the first spot we look next time!
Beautiful course but pricey. Greens are very challenging
Great course, first time playing it. Was pretty tight fairways but very scenic course. Carts were great with the GPS and other features. Would recommend.
Great view. Worth spend over 100 bucks.
Great price and well-maintained golf conditions. Quality course.
Beautiful course to play at and well maintained. We recieved some hostility for no reason from the staff when we showed up for our tee time and we only saw the cart girl once at the beginning of our round. Also, it was an absolute nightmare to find parking
Great course and beautiful
Short course, but lots of challenges for any golfer. Very pretty and in great shape.
Good course. Lots of variety
Great condition
I see some people complaining about parking lot, price and some other less important items. This is a resort golf course and can be busy and pricy. But let’s go to the point, they have a great staff and they work hard to keep everyone safe an the course organized. This course has a GREAT design, enough sand traps, in some holes the water can be very nasty, but in general it’s not a big problem, there are some wide fairways but some are not very forgiving, also it has some very nice par 3. This course can be very tough from Black or Gray tee boxes and very enjoyable from Red and Whites It’s a course for all kind of players. The scenery is just stunning!! It’s really beautiful. If you play this course in the fall you will never forget. I played most of the courses in this area and I believe this is in the top 3, maybe one or two private courses would be better.
Front nine requires shot placement, back nine is more forgiving. Well kept resort course.
Well kept coursr. Hard to get a tee time during the week. GPS on carts.
Good track that exceeded expectations. A few holes are surrounded by houses but otherwise a lot of interesting and challenging holes with good views. A bit on the expensive side but worth a shot.
I would give it 4.5 stars if they had this feature for ratings. I enjoyed this course. I would say that there is 8 outstanding/beautiful holes. To me the 10th hole is the signature hole. It's a par 3 hit from elevated tees (go up the stairs and play the blacks or greys). A steep rise to the green with bunkers protecting the green.
Had a great time golfing here on Canada Day celebrating a late Father's day gift with my bro... until our clubs got stolen from the bag drop area after our round. You know, the bag drop area you have to leave your clubs since you can't take the carts into the parking lot to load your gear safely. Its been over 24 hrs and I've yet to hear from anyone at Monterra Golf Club willing to talk about resolving this incident. Very disappointed. I'm leaving town tonight without any golf course staff showing any concern for my situation. Over $6000 in golf clubs lost between the two of us.
Very high class golf course. Well manicured even following adverse weather.
Tough course. But you can still score well.
The course is in great shape.
Challenging but forgiving. Stunning views from every hole. Well maintained and great value for $.
Beautiful course! Reasonably priced.
The bag drop folks and the pro shop were excellent. Monterra is a fantastic layout but I've noticed over the last 5 years of visiting that the conditions have deteriorated. Greens were VERY slow and the rough around the greens and just off the fairway was inconsistant with areas that were very long. When the conditions are good this is a hundred dollar golf course, however the way it is now I think it is 75-80 golf course. Perhaps this is why it was empty on Sunday morning and we played in 3 1/2 hours. I hope they bring it back up to snuff.
Friendly staff and nice amenities. Play is a bit slow here
Good resort course. Very well maintained given the traffic. A challenge to play.
I went with my 9 year old for a twilight round. It was hot, the inside counter was closed for drinks but was assured that the 4th hole would be open. It was not. If you are not going to provide refreshments anywhere on the course you should tell people to being their own drinks. I am guessing with this heat it is also a safety issue. My son had to wait over 2 hours to get water. Not acceptable, I won't be back.
What an amazing course to play. Staff are helpful and make sure you have a good time. Course is challenging without being frustrating. Onboard GPS in the carts is a game changer. High recommend you check this course out for yourself
Perhaps the best (public) test of golf in the area....some tough holes for sure!
Lovely course.
This course is in excellent condition!
Well kept course, lots of hazzards
Booked a tee time at a specific time well in advance, which was changed without clear notification. And then got told to skip the first hole because I was "late" for my time. Nice course but poor customer service and just trying to jam as many people as possible. Go elsewhere.
This course is beautiful, and WAS one of our favorite courses to play. This weekend for Father's day myself, father, brother and brother in law all arrived at the bag drop off excited to play a round of golf. We were greeted with some hositility by the staff member for no apparent reason with them muttering under their breath "well your early but I guess you can put your bags down". Before we even got 1 bag out the same staff member asked if I had a collar shirt. As most golfers now wear golf gear without collars I.e. Tiger Woods, I didn't think it would be an issue however I understand the dress code policy therefore complied and purchased a brand new shirt from their pro shop. Normally this wouldn't be an issue however the moment I got back outside there were golfers returning from their round with a plane t-shirt on. If policy states a collar shirt is required then it should be complied by all. Regardless we continued with our day and didn't want to let this initial experience taint out Father's day round of golf. The round went well however once we returned we were greeted with the same hostility we started with. A different staff member didn't even communicate with us minus a "Hey!" he yelled and then started pointing at the sign like we were children to pull up past the blocked off section. I don't understand why such hostility was geared towards us, I have my own interpretation as to why however I have never experience such customer service or lack there of from any course.
