Golf Gray Rocks, located near Mont-Tremblant in the rolling Laurentian mountains, is home to two 18-hole championship golf courses. La Bête (the Beast) is the generally higher-rated of the two, while La Belle (the Beauty) is slightly shorter and easier-going. La Bête is a well-rated and pleasantly testing layout. Plenty of golfing challenge, a well-crafted design and usually good upkeep all contribute to the appeal of this course. One to include on your play list if you are in the area.

very unique course. lots of plateaus and peaks. the par 3s are a challenge. greens were fast and were typical of a graham cooke design. when i played the cup was place in difficult placement. enjoyed my experience. not sure it was worth 90$. still you need to try it .if you have a chance.

But beyond all, it's the welcome by the attendant at the departure that really impressed me. This is the first time in my life (I have been playing golf for more than 30 years) that a departing agent tells me "Here, departures are at 10 minutes and not at 8 minutes to avoid congesting the field. You pay for it, so enjoy it and do not stress yourself! " Our departures were mid-afternoon on a Saturday (we were a group of 16) and our round went smoothly, in less than 4:30. In addition, the package including a round at La Belle offered excellent value for money. (Original) Agréablement surpris à deux niveaux: Les conditions de jeu sur ce parcours de montagne étaient tout simplement époustouflantes! Mais au delà de tout, c'est l'accueil par le préposé au départ qui m'a vraiment impressionné. C'est la première fois de ma vie (je joue au golf depuis plus de 30 ans) qu'un préposé au départ me dit "Ici, les départs sont aux 10 minutes et non pas aux 8 minutes pour ne pas congestionner le terrain. Vous payez pour ça, alors profitez-en et ne vous stressez pas!". Nos départs étaient en milieu d'après-midi un samedi (nous étions un groupe de 16) et notre ronde s'est déroulée rondement, en moins de 4h30. De plus, le forfait incluant aussi une ronde à La Belle offrait un excellent rapport qualité/prix.

The back nine is frankly spectacular. The overall condition of the course was amazing when I played and for some reason I found the greens very challenging. The front nine is much more targeted and has many blind tee shots. Take the advice of the starter for the second hole.

They essentially STOLE from me, I paid ~$1,000 for our group to play there and they cut us off without justification or {sufficiently} explained reason. The course itself is top notch, beautifully scenic, lots of elevation changes, truly a gem to play... as I usually do when visiting Tremblant. but in late Aug '21, I left enraged when we were forced off the course at 15 by the Marshall. We were told at the start of the round 4h:20mins; without incident they pulled us off at 3h:25mins, at the time we thought it was because of darkness and everyone was getting the same message and that the Marshall was just being rude.. "after 14, you're done". Well, we start driving in and every single hole still has players (some not happy with us driving through), we get back and I questioned the gentlemen who started us, he said they did it for our "safety" as someone hurt themselves on hole #7.. what? Makes no sense. He then goes "if you're looking for something to do you can clean the cart" as our groups had to wait for our rides which were arranged to pick us at appropriately scheduled times for playing 18 holes. Ruined a great, fun, competitive round.

Lots of varieties of layout, up, down, narrow fairways, cross hazards and rivers.....nice! Too bad no Marshall was around to court the course. We 2somes was standing behind a slow 4somes every holes since #3. Wide open ahead!!! Other than this group in front with no etiquette, we had a group behind that drove their carts up to the side of the green (see phots)! Need to Marshall the course to keep this an enjoyable course!!!!

This golf course is very beautiful in terms of sceneries. But for 109$ plus tax, I would say that the greens are terrible. Lots of way cheaper golf courses have better greens. Also, the pace of play is very slow. It took us 5h45 mins to play 18 holes.
