I think this is one if the best Executive golf course I ever played. Layout on each hole is good. Greens are nicely firm and big plus tough- made 5 times 3 putts. Course Condition was good. It took just a minute less than 4 hours -- could be better but lots of people in the course(Thursday). Love to play again soon.

A very nice executive golf course. Greens are fast and very tricky plus fariways are dry. Very nice and freindly staff. Paid $25 for a round - great value compare to other very wet course.

I don’t recommend playing here. The management is very poor. We started at 128pm and finished after 7pm. They also let groups of 9 play.

The reason I was at poppy estate was for my friends work Christmas party. It was lovely. The clubhouse was beautifully decorated and there was a good turn out from my friends place of employment. Food was beyond belief excellent. .desert even better.. and a lovely time had by all!!

I love it here, I’m a beginner. Greens always looks great, fairways as well! The staff is always helpful and kind. The chipping area for practice is a huge bonus. All around great place!

Not a bad course but nothing special. Could use some work on the fairways. This is a great course for juniors, seniors and beginners as well as anyone close by who wants to get in a quick round before or after work. With a little bit of work this course could be really nice. Also they have a pretty good breakfast and golf deal. Worth checking out.

Showed up to the course with my dad this morning for a beautiful early morning round, we walked up to the booth to pay out green fees, the woman working the till was an absolute hag, raised her voice at us for no reason, acted like she didn’t want our business at all. We were early and very polite, it’s too bad, not the way you want to start off your day.

For an executive length course, Poppy will give you all the challenge you can handle with it's beautiful, fast greens and challenging layout. Always well manicured, with lots of well done landscaping around the course. Excellent drainage for the off season, so no complaints with the course. 5/19/19 Edit: We've had the last disappointment with the restaurant here. They advertise a 7:30 am open, sign out at the road says breakfast at 7:30! But they won't start cooking your breakfast until 8:00. They say it takes a half hour for the grills to heat up. Fine, then come in at 7:00 to get things rocking? Nope, manager wont let them start until 7:30 cause he doesn't want to pay them the extra half hour. Ok, then, maybe the manager could turn on the grills at 7 for you. That would be fair/smart. Lunch was slow coming for two of our group, a BLT and a Grilled Cheese took 30 minutes almost, and there was no one else in the place! We'll be golfing/dining elsewhere for the season.

The hours were not posted on the entrance doors but the breakfast starts at 8:00 am. As I just dropped in for a quick look, the draft beer had a good price, the food that went by was the typical golf course fair, the atmosphere was also the kitchen table, no frills. The patio looked like a nice spot to sit on a hot day and I know I will return to this location. Thanks ....

So….. $55 for this executive golf course now Tee time was 10 minutes late. Tee boxes pushed way up on weekends. Was told by the Marshall they are doing it to speed up pace of play. Got hassled by a Maintenance crew member on the way to the 10th. Told we needed to walk faster. Got to 10th tee box and still had to wait to hit. Everybody was not happy about it. Sorry, for the money. Their tee times are packed to close together. Don’t need to be hassled because they are trying to push too many people out. We finished in just under 4 hours with the late tee time. If they are going to make the round unenjoyable and all about their profits, we all agreed we would go elsewhere. We have played 4-5 rounds there this year. Can only see the Summer being worse.

The course is in good shape. The greens are very nice. The lady you pay at the window was polite. But 5 hours to play is ridiculous. The grounds keeper and marshal both asked us to speed up. I pointed out that we were waiting on every hole for the group in front of us. As proof I pointed out the 3 groups waiting on the next tee box. And you aren't allowed to drive the power cart into the parking lot to load/unload your clubs. I won't be heading back anytime soon.

Great course, great condition. Been 3x in the past 6 months. First 2 times were great. Last time was a busy/hot day. Warden comes up to our group on the back 9 and says our group is playing slow and holding up the course. We were waiting to hit for the group in front of us every hole. Told him this and he proceeded to watch us play for about 7 minutes. Golf is supposed to be fun, not with aggressive employees like this. (Especially when we are waiting for the group in front anyway)

Course is decent, fairways and greens in great shape. A solid variety of short and decently long holes, some bends, overall a good spread for a beginner style course. Golf carts were kept well and cleaned thoroughly before each new user (COVID). Pace was pretty slow though, had a few times where the group behind us were waiting for us to start. If your in no rush and don't mind the extra wait it's a great course to get back into the swing of things!

My husband and I booked a tee off time last year. We showed up early and were told that there was a delay due to frost. 7 groups ahead of us waiting to tee off. 1.5 hour delay. And no previous phone call to let us know. So we did not golf. So this year we decided to try again. Busy day. We were paired up with a very nice couple. Had to wait to tee off. That is okay. But as we golfed were told to hurry up. A maintenance worker followed me telling me to hurry up. We realized we were packed in like sardines. Not a fun day. 5.5hours to play 18 holes. This was not about the experience but about the money. We will not be back.

Was told my women's Nike sleeveless collarless golf shirt was not proper attire, yet there were men on the course playing in board shorts and short sleeved t-shirts. I was told their attire was acceptable. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING with my usual weekly group! Yet my attire is acceptable at top rated courses elsewhere. Go figure!

Lots of variation here, water hazards that are right in front of the tee box and also water hazards 200 yards in front of the tee box. A few holes shooting low to high and vice versa. The grass is well kept staff is friendly and the golf carts are fast.

Smaller course but well kept and very challenging in spots. You must know your distances in order to play this course well. And the greens are difficult, some of the pin placements make me pull my hair out. All in a good way as you want to feel challenged.

I understand people are celebrating a wedding but as a neighbour to the golf course we hear the music/ base pounding most nights past midnight. When I say pounding I mean you can basically feel it shaking. At this point it’s just annoying. You could at least turn it down at 11:30. Maybe create some policies on noise in consideration that there are neighbours nearby.

If I could give a 0 star rating, I would. My family had the misfortune of being part of a large group that were at Poppy Estate for a breakfast “buffet” today. Where do I start? The staff at this establishment didn’t have a clue. There were 40+ people expecting to be fed. Scrambled eggs arrived one frying pan at a time. One pan of hashbrowns was on the buffet table & was never refilled. Pancakes were served two at a time, sometimes barely cooked. One pan of reheated deli ham, sausages & greasy undercooked bacon was provided. Two toasters & bread in plastic bags were on the same table. Dessert was one tray of fruit. Most of us were not able to assemble a complete breakfast. One person went back for seconds & was told by a staff member that it was one plate per person. Seconds were not part of the deal! For this we were charged $20 each. There weren’t even cloths on the tables. One pot of coffee was put out & never refilled. The water for tea was tepid, at best. It was a dismal experience. You couldn’t pay me enough to return.

I have played this course 4 times twice i walked off because the pace of play of the group ahead of me was so slow and the marshall didn't do anything even after making a complaint and asking if we could be waved through. I complained but waa told "it's a beginners course and it happens", well i am a beginner golfer and i can keep up a normal pace. The course it nice though and the greens are challenging.

Not Kid Friendly! - This looked like a great course to take our 2 boys, 11 and 13. Played between 40 and 50 rounds with them at various courses & have always been treated by friendly staff & service. Both are both pretty good players & have no problem keeping pace. It was $163.00 for the 4 of us with driving carts & this was “triple twilight” rate. Our 13 year is diagnosed with High Functioning Autism and OCD. He absolutely loves golf & has improved each round. We loaded the bags on our carts & my son sat in the drivers seat. My wife and I explained that he was not allowed to drive the cart because of liability. He was understanding and complying & got ready to enjoy his round. However, while we were speaking with him the course Marshall rudely interrupted us & started explaining the same rules to him again like a drill Sargent. He was very abrasive and rude in his tone and didn't let anyone else speak. Once he let us, we told him again we fully understood the rules & liability. We ensured only my wife & I would drive. Still, our son was quite taken back by this & very upset. On the 1st hole he commented how rude the Marshall was to him and he didn’t want to ever come back. By the 4th hole, he was still so bothered, upset & crying he wanted to leave. My wife and I and other son we’re obviously upset now as well and ruining our family time. My son was inconsolable. We decided I would leave with him and take him for a drive while my wife and other son would finish the round and we would pick them back up later. We were at the back of the course, I had to drive all the way back to the club house. I went back to the clubhouse window and explained what happened to the lady working there. I kindly asked that since we’d only played 4 holes and given the unfortunate circumstances if we could please have the green & carts fees refunded back for me and my son only. We were happy for them to keep the fees for my wife and other son since they were going to finish. She just shrugged her shoulders and asked my wife come back and see her after so she could speak with the general manager as she didn’t know if they would give us our money back. I was miffed but gave her the benefit of the doubt & just wanted to leave with my son who was still very upset. I asked her if my wife should come back after 9 holes or 18 because as she likely wouldn’t be in until around 9pm. She said after 18 was fine as she was staying late to close up. I relayed the message to my wife. While I was out with my son he was able to calm down and re-iterated to me how upset he was at the way he was spoken to by the Marshall & if had he not said anything and at let my wife and I speak to him all would have been good…or at the very least been much more kind and not cut us off. I picked my wife and other son back up at 8:45pm (they had finished about 8:30pm) my wife told me the lady had gone locked up and wasn’t able to speak to her as she had requested. It was obvious she didn’t care so she just left. Next morning, I called & left a message for the General Manager. He called me back & I explained the situation to him. Told him this is the 1st time this has ever happened & had to leave a course. I asked again, for a refund for me & my sons green/cart fees. He lectured me again the rules & I explained once again that my wife and I explained them to our son. Our issue was the rude/abrasive way my son was talked to which upset him so much it forced us to leave. He explained they don’t give refunds if the player chooses to leave after hole 1. He wasn’t understanding of the situation, nor offered an apology or asked how my son was doing. Told me the marshall was off but would call him that day & call me back. Been 4 weeks & still no call back or, refund / rain check. Assume he never spoke with the marshall or could care less & lines up how we were treated by all the staff. Obvious, ownership, management & staff don't care about treating customers the right way especially junior golfers who are future of golf. We absolutely, will NEVER play this course again!

It's taking way too long to play this course. They pack people in like sardines, you have to think there is something wrong when it takes almost 4 1/2 hours to play a Par 63 course. No course marshal to speed things up, getting worse so I don't think I will be going back anytime soon.

Avoid on the weekends... played today (Sunday) and took almost 5 hours for 18 holes which is completely unacceptable. We had a group behind us, up and leave due to the delays (and I don’t blame them). It’s very disappointing as the course is well kept and enjoyable for the size but I doubt I’ll be back due to the poor organization
