Last year I enjoyed this course but I’ve been out twice this year and the first round they let a group cut in on us after nice which created an extremely slow back 9. Next time out was a circus. Way too many groups.. was a about 3 hours per 9. Music playing loud all over the course people yelling. No marshals. Unless you’ve backed breakfast, lunch and dinner don’t bother.

Working with Golden Eagle for our wedding was an absolute pleasure. Friends of ours got married there last summer and referred us to go check it out and meet the team. The first time we met at the venue Lorae & Lamica took the time to sit with us, go through a slideshow and show us what a wedding at Golden Eagle would look like. Wedding planning can feel overwhelming, but we knew we were in great hands and Lamica made the entire process enjoyable. Lamica is really friendly, approachable, organized, thorough and fast at answering any questions you may have. We felt heard throughout the process and nothing was ever pushed on to us – they accommodated everything so that we could have the perfect day to fit our needs. The most valuable aspect was the day-of-wedding coordinating where Lamica organized everything, including ceremony, guests, reception, coordinating with vendors etc. She was there with us till the very end of our evening making sure everything went to plan and filling any gaps where need be. The property was beautiful and the food (+ service) was great – we received many compliments from our guest how great the food was and how friendly everyone was. We are so thankful we got the opportunity to have our wedding at Golden Eagle and we would recommend this venue + the team to anyone who is planning a wedding :)

Reasonably priced. Mosquitos were bad and a pretty rough access road to deal with right now as main entrance is closed. North course is a bit better track than the South Course, IMO.

We decided to host a mini-tournament at Golden Eagle, and after a few snafus on my end, the lady on the phone was very accommodating and very helpful, despite my mistakes I made booking. Overall, she made it stress free and was very cordial. We shall be booking it again next year. Thank you again for your help.

Who's answering the phones? I've called 10 times over 2 days and can't get through. I wanted to change the tee time I booked online - which it said I could do - but there is no option on the app, no one answering the phones at the course and even the email I sent yesterday mid-day hasn't been replied to. I love this course, but where's the support for the golfers?

We got married at Golden Eagle Golf Club October 5, 2018. We had looked at a few different venues and upon first meeting Lorae Brickwood (day of coordinator), we KNEW right away we would choose Golden Eagle. After the initial visit, we were blown away because we had no questions to ask because Lorae was so thorough and confident in explaining how wedding's work at their venue. I am so glad we chose Golden Eagle because the day of our wedding, we had nothing to worry about, which for someone with anxiety is a huge deal! Everything was taken care of for us. The service we received from the staff was absolutely incredible!! The views from the helicopter and mountain top, which is an option at the venue, was breathtaking! I want to do our wedding all over again because it was such an amazing, unforgettable day!!!!!!!!!! My husband and I both golf so we will return to do that one day!

This is not a forgiving golf field although you have a high spirit of golf skill. Firstly the narrow fairways surrounding by long grasses which you hardly find your ball. Secondly the huge water hazards no chance for you to escape from it. I read through the golf layout plan before I pick up this challenge drive all the way from Vancouver. We having a same result as the other golfer review who lost 30 balls as we husband and wife lost 15 balls in our first time record.Thirdly, the fairways is in swampy condition wet throughout every steps. Poor drainage system. Of course it is a country side scenery with fresh air, staff is helpful friendly, food is yummy too !

awesome 5 hr round. Had to wait EVERY shot the whole round. Course was over booked. Course marshal cruising around making jokes and doing nothing to improve pace of play. Same thing happened last time on the North course. Won't be coming back here

I was hoping to share my feelings privately but seems I can’t . My 2 sons took me to your south course today ( June 28 / 2020 ) for a belated Father’s Day gift . We ended up with 8 golfers . At a cost of almost $90 per person ( including power cart ) was at the least EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING. We golfed the south course . BRUTAL . Zero work done for drainage on the fairway and along the cart path . No physical appearance of course workers what so ever. We saw the beverage cart once in 18 holes . At every tee box we were stepping out of our carts to mud .was a disappointment this was for ALL of us .When I attempted to voice a concern , I felt I was not even heard . VERY DISAPPOINTED in my experience at your course. So sad

Golf course was a great play! Ended the day off at the club house! food was decent! I waited way too long for my food. Turns out they forgot to place my order.. after 45 mins roughly. They brought out a cold chicken burger… next time I might try ordering my food before my tee time maybe it’ll be ready then. Decent place. The kitchen staff could use upgrade

Went golfing with my usual foursome for the first time at Golden Eagle South. Tried to check in at the pro shop and buy a beverage before the round but was directed to the starter kiosk. Instructed to do so as if we knew where to go when there is a North and South course. It's obvious the lady working at the front did not want to assist us or did not want to just work. First time receiving this kind of service in a golf course in BC. Very disappointed with not just the service but also the condition of the course. Do not recommend.

This course is a hidden gem. The North Course is in very good shape. The South in good shape. I prefer the North as it passes by the Clubhouse after 9 whereas the South does not. The cart girls come by more regularly now that the weather is better. Not so much the previous few months. The patio is very nice and sunny. There is a good selection on the menu. The food has always been very good. I would recommend this course for a nice golf experience and eats afterwards.

Two 18 hole courses - can you ask for much more? Both courses aren't super forgiving and I recommend an electric buggy. The walk is nice, but in the summer heat, it's not pleasant. Good rates, well maintained courses and good food and drink options as well.

Beautiful venue for a wedding. My sister was just married there June 1st 2018. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. It was a great day because of great staff and hard work. A few years back this course was a goat track. Barley any grass on the tee boxes. Played there last week and for 55 bucks it was like a new course. Tee boxes were great and the Greens were in amazing shape

We hosted our wedding at Golden Eagle and could not have asked for a more perfect experience. The view was breath-taking, the food was to die for, and the staff was so helpful. We planned the event remotely from Florida and Lorae did an incredible job making sure all the details were covered and put us at ease throughout the entire process. The groom & his men even had time to play a round of golf the morning of and were blown away with the course; and we're from Florida so that says a lot!

We attended a wedding there yesterday. While the venue is important, what made this exceptional was the food and most importantly, the staff. After wonderful appetizers, fantastic food and deserts, we found fresh pizzas as we were walking out to go home. We raved about them and suggested more than once that we should turn around and go back for more, we will make the trip. Many thanks to the staff. They did a wonderful job.

My husband and I just got married at Golden Eagle Golf Club on September 12, 2020. Due to COVID, we actually ended up cancelling our original ceremony/reception plans at a different venue and calling up GEGC in May to rebook just a ceremony. We chose this site because they had a large, covered outdoor space and a ceremony only option. The deck and tented area is perfect for physical distancing your guests and can be used rain or shine, so no need to come up with a weather plan 'B' for your special day. The ceremony package included white folding chairs, a speaker if you needed it, registry signing table with linen, easels for your signs, more tables with linens if you needed them (to put out favors, guestbook, etc.). Lorae was who we initially spoke to and met for the tour but Lamica was our actual Wedding Coordinator. She was awesome! I think I must have sent her over 20 emails between June and our wedding day with tons of questions. She answered them always within a day. She helped us arrange a champagne toast after our ceremony with our guests and even helped us arrange dinner for after our rehearsal with only a few days notice. We ate with our wedding party out on the ceremony deck, so everyone could space out and ordered food from the on site restaurant. It was all individually packaged and she even setup a few tables and chairs for us to use. Lamica setup all of our decor, favors, etc. on the day of the wedding and I could relax getting ready with my girls because I knew we were in good hands. Her communication was great and she is extremely organized. Everything went perfectly and If we had to complain about anything, it would be the poor Wi-Fi/cellular signal connection. With COVID, we were hoping to live stream our ceremony to guests that we couldn't have there in person and we couldn't do it. We recorded it then posted it afterward, which was still fine but a live stream would have been nice. All in all though, 5 star experience with the team at GEGC! :)

South Course. A few very nice scenery. But fairways and greens status need better maintenance. Transitions from hole to another hole present some danger (watch out flying balls!).

Lots of golfers playing during a heavy rain. It must be special to play there in order to get people out in the rain. Been there in the neaby forest where I noted garbage all over the area and in the forest near the garbage containers. I would have a contractor clean up

Nice to get out with my old golf buddies and work out the body kinks and work on the golf game, the swing and feel around the greens on this double golf course. Golden Eagle has 2 full 18s. North and South course. we played the North course. friendly and helpful staff. there's road construction so make sure to check their website for the detour... goes from paved to off road driving for a long stretch. social distancing measures in place. fairway conditions were lush. greens were slick. we got hungry after the walk... put in almost 20000 steps on my fitness watch. golden eagle wings are $13 and they filled the void in the tummy. yummy! Brian stuck this KP nicely on a par 3 which i captured with my Canon SX50. my settings were left on blue because I was playing with the full moon ???? last weekend. fun round at Golden Eagle.

This is a review of their wedding services as I haven't played golf on this course yet. I've done videography for several weddings at this venue and it is wondeful. The outdoor balcony/patio area for ceremonies gives an amazing view of the landscape as well as the couple. The area around the golf course makes for great photo taking. Also the area inside is always well put together and the food is delicious! If you are considering having your wedding/reception here, I would highly recommended it!

Affordable golf with world class scenery. Yes the course is lacking and is clearly a work in progress. But I'm not going to give it less stars just because some bunkers weren't filled in. The south course was awesome and for the money the experience was amazing.

Golf is different in this Covid age but Golden Eagle does a good job of not making things too uncomfortable. The course is in good shape. Fairways are great. Greens roll true and are reasonably fast.

Played the North Course, it was in great shape and was nice to see how easy they made it to follow covid-19 guidelines. Only recommendation I have is to on course marshals to keep groups moving quickly and follow guidelines

These two courses can be decent middle of the road courses set in a tranquille country backdrop..although have often encountered poor playing conditions in early spring as the fairways can be too mushy/boggy or baked to to a crisp where they actually start cracking up in mid summer....tees can be pretty poor too....up until this year they used to have very good discounted rates which helped justify the sometimes subpar playing conditions and the long drive out somewhat.... but I don't see those attractive discounts this past year or so, which now makes other options more palatable....

Be careful! Be careful! Be careful! Cancellation charge that it’s not noticable before you try to cancel. On October 12th, 2020 This is my first time experience with this club. I booked tee time on October 19th, 2020, but I have to cancel. It’s extreamly hard to find cancellation fee and they never mention on the booking & confirmation page. Also, it’s very annoying to cancel the booking cuz you gotta make call to cancel and you’ll be heard refund charge for cancellation. They should mention the cancellation charge when we are booking tee time. But they just say that you can cancel booking a day before the tee time on booking and confirmation page without any charge mention. I feel that they seem to hide cancel fee, therefore; they only have cancellation policy on website. Mostly, we could notice cancellation fee during the booking processing time. But they do not mention. I wish they please mention the cancellation charge in booking page before people make a reservation to avoid this happening again. Please! Please! Please! Not only policy page!

Wonderful course with a beautiful backdrop of the mountainside. South course is in good shape with some minor areas under repair. Prices are very reasonable and they don't gouge you on the beverages. Will definitely be back.

I've played here quite a lot this summer, mostly the south course. While it's a bit rough in some sections, it's in overall excellent condition. The North course is great too. Super good value and really nice time. Probably the best courses for the price.

Player the South course. Beautiful course a little wet on the sidelines. Very reasonable cost 3 players one cart $155 total tee off was 1:18. I highly recommend this course if you have never played it or if it's been a while

GE, is a great-valued golf course. Greens are well paced and very well maintained. We love the staff here who treat us like members year in and year out. Our fave is the South Course. Pace of play is quicker and is cooler on those very hot days during the summer months. Each year changes are made where necessary, but fees remain affordable! We are coming back GE!!!!!! FORE

Playing every course in the lower mainland this year so made my first and last trip here on a Saturday afternoon. Spent the front nine playing behind a group of seven, with four carts hacking up the fairway in front of us. Cart path only of course. After we called the clubhouse on the 4th, a marshal eventually came (I think?) and split them up on the tenth. A few holes later yet were all back at it though. Nothing we could do and who could really blame the guys? They're out for a rip paying weekend rates right along with us. If the course has no control over their golfers, you've got to assume some will slam their beers from home and treat it like their personal toilet. There was a nice moment later on in the round where you had dueling carts spinning their wheels head on to your left, and two others trying to climb stairs to your right. Reminded me a lot of the vancouver riots. Does Aquilini own this too? A lot of similarities. Chaos and no order whatsoever. Bring a lunch and dinner because the food cart only comes by once a round. Maybe pack a two-by-four as well in case things are always this hairy. Oh yeah, how long does a round take? Well I started five hours ago and I'm still on the course.. writing this.

Beware booking with them. I needed to cancel my round a full week in advance and they still charged me a $10 refund fee. First course ive heard of doing this. Pretty scummy in my opinion.

My husband and I just got married over the weekend here. It was perfect. We couldn't be more happy. Everything ran so smoothly. It was so beautiful. Lorae was super accommodating and helped us along the year and a half it took to plan. The price was extremely reasonable and the service was great. The day of the wedding the staff were all amazing and helpful for anything we needed. We are so happy we booked with them and would recommend to any bride to be! The only thing we wish we did was the helicopter!

We got married this past weekend at Golden Eagle and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Being that it’s October, it, of course, rained! But throughout it all, our venue coordinator, Lamica, was amazing in making sure our day was as stress free and dry as possible. We had to save our helicopter ride for another time and Lamica kept us informed the whole time of what’s happening and alternatives for some amazing couples photos. I especially appreciate her staff’s warm and friendly service throughout. From getting us drinks and helping me with my bustle (we didn’t have a wedding party), the level of service exceeded all my expectation. Working with Lamica to plan our wedding was fantastic as well. We booked at a time when pretty much no reception was allowed and we had zero expectations of having people join us. Then we were allowed to have people. Throughout it all, Lamica was super flexible, responsive, and easy to work with. The banquet room, outdoor ceremony, and view at the venue were also everything we hoped for and more! I wholeheartedly recommend any couple who’s looking for a beautiful, intimate, and stress free wedding to book with Golden Eagle. Lamica and her staff will definitely take care of you!
