Had a terrible experience with instructor Maureen Bruce, I was warned by a friend to not go with her, but I decided to give her a go anyway. My mom had prepaid $300 for golf lessons and we were not even provided a receipt. Due to an illness one day I had to cancel, during a pandemic we should be given the option to reschedule, when I asked her to reschedule she refused. She says she is running a business but clearly does not know how to retain her customers because we were planning to purchase more instruction. She treated my mother with disrespect over the phone since our schedules were not matching up. Hope our money takes you far in life , and maybe learn how to treat your customers who were excited to golf with some RESPECT!!! ..if we could give a 0 star rating we would!! We will acknowledge a few days after this review was posted we were given a partial refund.

Booked for three of us, find out we are being paired up with a single. I asked not to be paired up during Covid, was told "it is the way it is" I inquired about paying for the forth and told it wasn't possible. Then I get advised that if a twosome pays a third green fee they won't be paired up. What is the difference between paying for 3 is a twosome and not getting paired up with anyone, and a three some? Just using Covid as a money grab!

My husband and I have been taking golf lessons with Maureen Bruce, and we could not recommend a better golf instructor. She is professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and makes you feel at ease. If something is not working for you, she finds another way to say/show/demonstrate it, is extremely encouraging and positive throughout. I always look forward to lessons with Maureen and am so happy to have found her and her expertise.

Fairways are narrow and evenly lied (except for Hole #9), but with lots of shrubbery trees to lose your balls into. Greens are tough and durable with no bite, no ballmarks to fix here. Drive range is fantastic, with good mats, good tees, and 2 levels.

For a par 3 course it is a very good course. It is not a very difficult course but even a low handicapper could play here and have fun. rough could be better maintained but the fairways, greens, and bunkers are good for what it is. I would never compare this course to a full size course or country club, but if you want a fun round with friends and excellent food after your match this is a good choice. Has a good driving range and practice green. Even has grass tees and sand to hit out of on the range. The course itself is a 3 star course, but the practice facilities and restaurant and friendly pro shop staff make it a 4 star in my opinion. If you want a par 3 course in Abbotsford, this is one of the best. Price was a bit high though as i could have played a round at Ledgeview for about the same price.

Worst experience I have ever had on a golf course. So slow a group in front of us holding us every second of the round with no one in front of them. Marshall didn't do anything about it.

This is a great executive style course and is always in good shape. There are some challenging holes for golfers of all levels. You can get around in three hours most days.

My wife and I booked a tee time during this covid 19 self-distancing and we were shocked at arriving at the course to find that they had paired us with another pair. They said we could safely self-distance, but we pointed out that we are at the tee box and the greens together and it was unacceptable. They refused to allow us to play on our own. A bad example of a company putting profit ahead of safety in this Covid-19 pandemic!

What a great golf course well groomed family driven awesome setting challenging course I shot a great game here one of my best and will be coming back in the future on my road trips from Calgary my daughter watch me play golf for the first time here and really enjoyed it and will be joining me in future games because of it thanks for the Fraserglen team for being amazing and I also bought some new clothes in the pro shop and really like the selection of Oakley

Had an awful experience with instructor M, she thinks she's super professional but isn't. I had prepaid 300 in cash for lessons, we had one, had to cancel one due to illness (in the time of a pandemic that is expected that a client cancel) tried to reschedule a final session however she was annoyed that our schedules weren't lining up, and overall sounded condescending and extremely rude. Also did not provide receipt for her little cash business she is running here...'overall save your money and I hope my 300 takes you real far in life instructor M! I will acknowledge and update that I was given a partial refund (perhaps upon reading my review)

A delightful Par 62 course that's really well maintained. The staff are all wonderful. Great for practicing your short game and zoning in your drive on the short length par 4s. Driving range facility is also great

An excellent test for beginners or experienced players where you can hit every club in your bag. The driving range and practise areas are very good. Online booking option makes it easy to make a tee time and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Good course over all, nice greens. Nice staff. Field Marshals however have been unreasonable and unaware of the group's play, telling members of the group to play best ball when they are not holding anyone back. Really took away from our experience. Kinda hovered over the group for the remainder of our game.

Always freindly and helpful to patrons. (At least the nice ones) A great little course to work on mid to short game or if you don't have time for a full course. Food is excellent with good prices, never had a bad meal in 10 years. With their restaruant daily specials it's worth going there even if you are not golfing.

My first experience at this course will be my last. The lady in the pro shop is rude and very unprofessional. The rate to play this course is way to high for how bad the course conditions are. This place over books and doesn’t know how to regulate tee offs. Then there is the course , the fairways are like roughs, you risk getting hit on a few holes because there’s a driving range in the middle Of the course. The tee off boxes are so dug up that it’s hard to find a place to play from. Last is the greens they are so beat up and in bad shape sand hills and diviot every where. Save your money

Nice beginner course, above expected rates, friendly front desk....but if u want a relaxing experience as a new golfer, avoid at all costs.... marshall constantly aggressively telling us to speed up or leave, im sorry.... teaching a kid to golf, with a friend..... and finishing 18 holes in 3hrs 15mins..... is NOT slow playing! On a day which would have otherwise been great.... ruined by their pushy aggressive marshalls..... wont go there again unfortunately

Maureen Bruce is an exceptional instructor. You definitely get what you pay for. She is kind, respectful, punctual and reliable. I used to get nervous & intimated when someone invites me out to play golf. After having lessons with Maureen I am more confident with my swing and starting to enjoy my game. If I could rate a zero I would, this course is far over priced for the quality of greens, fairways and social distancing enforcement. Tried to get out with my girlfriend for 18 and they insisted we had to pay for 3 green fees at $39 on Mother’s Day. The course was not busy yes there were people playing but mostly families. Their reason is that two people would hold up potential revenue of a larger group.... yes we played through 3 groups and were constantly waiting for the next group at t box. Most average people don’t have much money for leisurely activities during this covid 19 outbreak, so the fact that they felt good about charging a young couple in Mother’s Day for 3 green fess is beyond me. We also Saw quite a few people sharing power carts drunk well within 6 feet. Needless to say I will not be back with my usual golf colleagues to this establishment.

My review is directed to the pro staff that I have taken playing lessons with. I have enlisted the help of Maureen Bruce for lessons over the last few years and have found the experience to be 100 percent positive. Very accommodating with respect to scheduling the lessons and absolutely professional in every aspect! So great at working with my changing work schedule! Maureen understood what I needed in a golf coach and was both fun to work with and at the same time pushed me to be better. She stressed the basic fundamentals and very clearly knows how to both teach and play (She is down the middle every time!!!! Uhggg!) I cannot say enough about how positive the experience was!

Sometimes you meet somebody that makes your experience at a place exceptional. That was Dale! Thank you so much for catering to our needs for knowing that we needed something and for just being helpful and thoughtful.. More businesses need service oriented caring people like Dale. The golf course was better this time than when I first got there. I was charged $24 for a golf cart for only nine holes, that was brutal ???? The food was nice and I did enjoy my golf there.. But did I mention, Dalewas awesome.

I have been taking golf lessons for the past 3 months from Maureen Bruce and can’t say enough great things about her and her teaching skills. I am a beginner golfer and Maureen is very patient and professional and highly skilled when it comes to helping individuals to improve your game. She has a lovely personality, is very encouraging and her rates are reasonable as well. I’ve also enjoyed the driving range, putting and chipping greens. The restaurant food is also top notch and I’ve enjoyed shopping in their pro shop where they have a great selection with good prices.

It has been fantastic that Fraserglen Golf Course has provided us with an opportunity during these difficult times to get out and do something recreational that we enjoy so much. My husband and I find ourselves at the driving range on a weekly basis. They have gone above and beyond to make you feel safe during Covid, sanitization continually taking place, proper social distancing, pre-paid card service . It has kept us feeling sane and safe during this difficult time.

I have never golfed before and my good friend referred me to Maureen. She has gone above and beyond to accommodate my friend and I to learn together in a safe, fun and professional atmosphere. As a nurse I have a crazy schedule and Maureen has been very accommodating to rearrange our scheduled lessons if need be. I highly recommend her and she is now teaching my husband, who is relearning the joy of this game and unlearning some past habits! Maureen is inspiring us both.

This place is an absolute rip off. I am appalled at the fact that an executive course does not offer a 9 hole rate. I am 8 months pregnant and went to go golfing with my husband and mother and cannot physically do 18 holes yet they refused to offer a discounted rate. The staff were unbending and offered no solutions other than to just walk the course (which is nearly impossible as the back 9 is a swamp).

Been playing here for Years, green fees keep going up, $45 for a course that is at best $35. This afternoon the sprinklers came on and chased us off of 3 holes, guy in the club house just shrugged us off and told us it would be better next time. The sand traps just get soaked and packed, they never get raked so it’s like hitting off concrete. No Marshall in sight as we are backed up 3 groups. The time we played before today the course was overbooked and the Marshall was trying to push us to tee off with the group in front of us on the green, the hole in question was a 240 yard hole. Just a terrible run golf course. If you want me and my friends to return the course better be manicured to reflect the price tag. Don’t waste your money, go 10 minutes up the road and play royalwood for the same money and 10 times the course.

We began taking lessons with the course golf pro at Fraserglen, Maureen, in May 2021. I will attest that Maureen made our experience so enjoyable and taught us all so much. She is patient, kind, funny and talented in her ability to help us achieve our goals as beginner golfers. We liked her so much that we signed up for more lessons and will head back next season to continue our learning and growth with her. I have and would recommend Maureen to golfers both new and experienced - she is that good! Thank you, Maureen!
