This Golf is included in the category of Public golf course.
Kananaskis Golf course was closed, so had to decide between driving to Canmore and play Silver Tip, or go to Brewsters Kananaskis Golf Resort. Turned out going to Brewsters was the right decision. What a hidden gem in the Bow Valley. Excellent golf course with gorgeous views. And the green fees were very affordable. All staff there were outstanding, and they even came out and dried off our seats on the power cart. Better bring your best game here, as the fairways demand accurate tee shots. Will come back here again!!
Super chill course
Affordable! Fun! Great service @
Great golf. Beautiful spot
Good course for the money
Great open spaces, the course is spread out and the view is amazing. We used a golf cart however needed to keep to the paths.
The service is poor. But the staffs are kind and that fairways has low quality and the greens are hard. But its my back yard golf course,so i enjoy it. They well improve in time.. \m/
Nice course, well maintained!
Really good golf course
Although the course is challenging it is a nice course. Greens and fairways are in good shape and all the reviews that say keep the big stick in your bag are right. I found the par 3 to be long and the greens are very small for long par 3's. That would be my only complaint is that the par 3 greens are too small and even some other other greens. Price was good for the area and I would play again for that reason.
Mountain course without the mountain price
Amazing course, not too far outside of the city. Great elevations on almost all of the back 9. Nice backdrop with the mountains behind you.
Joined this club without doing our research as we’d golfed here several times the season before without any issues. Unfortunately we learned very quickly it is poorly managed. High turnover. Understandably during a pandemic staff retention is tough but we’ve repeatedly asked for a call back from Ashley (the manager) and we finally gave up. When we followed up with staff, we were told this isn’t uncommon. Sent an email to the managing director Chris McNicol. Responded initially welcoming us to the club and then crickets when it came to answering our only question. We wanted to inquire about a season cart rental pass as we weren’t aware the cart is NOT included in the cost of the membership. I am waiting for knee surgery and this course is tough for a season round CART PATH ONLY rule! We followed the rules but many people don’t. There’s no driving range and no concept of customer service. We played 20+ rounds in May and June and nobody bothered to get to know our names. We asked about merchandise discounts, guest fees and league nights and nobody ever had an answer. Sometimes there’s up to 8 parties lined up to go off the front and nobody off the back. No starter and no marshalling on weekday evenings. We were charged various pricing for power carts, it was never the same. People cutting in front of us and walking on the course really slowed down the pace. Online booking system was frustrating as it didn’t show me as a member so I didn’t always have access to the member available tee times. We receive confirmation emails four times as well as thank you emails cluttering up your inbox and often confusing us if one of us booked with someone else. The answer was always the same, ‘we’re working on our system.’ Have to say we’re very disappointed as locals of the Bow Valley. The course itself is beautiful and has a lot of potential. Didn’t think we were asking for too much, just a return call or an email.
We golfed at Brewsters Kananaskis on Monday Sept. 6. We booked online for $29 twilight but when we got there, they charged us $39 instead saying the booking site is wrong. I do think we should be charged for the price we booked it at. Further to this, the round was delayed by several people ahead of us. When we finally got off the course, although there were 20 plus cars in the parking lot, we were told we can't use the bathrooms as they were closed for the night (it was 7:30 p.m.). There were still a lot of people left on the course, and people outside sitting at the picnic table. Please tell me where you would prefer people to go if the bathrooms are closed????? Yes, as many people have said about this course, the customer service can use a lot of improvement. Would we go back? Absolutely not.
Nice golf course with some great views.
This is a beautiful small course. Very narrow, difficult greens to hit, but wonderful scenery and wild flowers. No real food service, so bring your own. Beer cart was good. Course marshal was friendly. We'll be back! July 5, back again. This course is in fantastic condition. Perfect day, millions of flowers, deer. We had a wonderful day. Great service. Thanks Brad and staff.
Great Course, a mix of short par 4's and long par 3's with challenging par 5's, creating an excellent challenge. One round your shooting your personal best, and the next you're triple bogeyin' two holes in a row... “DOH!“ - Best value in the valley! BKR's newest member!
Cant believe some people the day before I played calling this a peasant course. I found the course really fun and beautiful and thought the price was very fair for the experience. Many teeshots that give you a fun risk/reward decision concerning club selection. Turn snacks were good. Only complaint/question I had was the course not being rated. I've played some BAD courses that still are rated for Golf Canada. This is easily the nicest course that I've never seen rated and was curious if the club will ever pursue that going forward?
Went here for a Canada 150 low rate special. Great condition. IMO this course is overpriced by $10-$15 for regular rates. Wish they offered Groupon or Golfnow as options!
Very nice course that has spectacular views of the Rockies. The course itself is not that long but there are several challenging holes with narrow fairways. The fairways are in excellent shape and so are the greens.
Course is in terrible shape, grass is burnt to hell on most holes, looks like a dog track and the Marshall's out there think they're patrolling a pga course. Good views tho
Nice walk ,great scenery
Great course to bring the family. Friendly laid back atmosphere lots of fun and great value.
Well maintained golf course. Staff was friendly. Bring lots of balls unless you hit straight well wooded on both sides. Golf cart was the downside it struggled through the round but made it.
beautiful course, amazing. Come early
Great course at a great low price
Great course, great mountain views, great service. If you haven't golfed here, you are missing out.
Very good value and fun course. Hans is a very friendly Marshal and we look forward to seeing him when we go.
It was an utterly horrible experience I'd rather not go back but they keep telling me to.
Good value for the proximity to Calgary. Cart has to stay on path but fairly easy to play course. Good field of view for finding your ball.
This is one of the most beautiful golf course in my life which has 18 hole public facility. When I had a conference, I played here with my friends in Canada. Courses were so challangable and enjoyable. You may meet wild animals. Even I lost some balls, I surely enjoyed the courses. Highly recomnendable !
Such a beautiful course with a wonderful setting. Pro shop service was great, with such friendly workers. Played during the week and had no wait time between holes.
Lovely golf course and the staff were very professional and extremely generous. We got there early and took lots of great pictures before the golfers started their day.
We played Brewster's yesterday (we're visiting from Montana & Utah). We loved the course (well maintained, beautiful views, friendly staff & great prices). We did lose a few balls (our fault for not hitting straighter) as several of the reviews warned but still had fun. The only reason we didn't give it 5 stars were the greens. They look great, but need to be cut shorter & rolled to make them more consistent.
It's become a bit of a hillbilly course. A group of 4 people sharing one set of clubs held up the whole course. Marshall did nothing about it. Plus it's not currently legal to have 4 people in a group. Lots of drunk people coming to the course and dangerously driving the carts all over. Needs a bit of class added back.
Very bad service. The guy that runs the place is a complete A-hole. Brought a whole wedding party here and he treated us with no respect. Over priced and not a nice course. Maybe if the guy changed his attitude towards paying customers I would consider coming back to use my rain check that he didn't want to give us after the fourth hole.
This is a great golf course, holes are not too difficult and everyone was friendly, especially John in guest services that greeted us at the first hole. The view can't be beat, Mount Yamniska is right there .
Great golf course with some fun holes and great scenery.
The course is in great shape! fairways, soft bunkers and consistent greens. Pace of play was 4.5 hrs on a saturday. $125 incl cart, Its totally worth the drive from calgary. Played Mt. Lorette Red tees, 6700 yds.
This a fun course to play. Still some pretty great mountain views and the course is certainly one you need to hit the ball accurately on. Not super long but it requires good tee shots to have a chance to score well. Good value for sure as the other Kananaskis and Canmore courses are much more expensive.
Beautiful condition, beautiful mountain views.
This is a tough track with some great views. There was some narrow plays and tough holes but overall a good time with the buddies. The course was in rough shape in places. A great cheaper alternative to the more expensive courses in the area.
Such a beautiful course. Scenery and the greens are almost perfect. It also has a bit of a difficult play which adds some extra fun
Course is in very poor condition and they are charging full rate.
Beautiful course. Hope to play again.
Beer cart server was very rude.
Awesome. Course is in great shape. Enjoy coming here every year.
Great service, very accommodating. Not an easy course, challenging narrow fairways. Course was in great shape. They put extra touches on each hole for esthetics. All round enjoyable day
Really fun course
Beautiful course. Best in Alberta for the money in my opinion. Staff in the clubhouse were super friendly.
Great day of golf. Would definitely come again.
The guest ranch was very nice. We had a wonderful weekend here. We saw so much wildlife and enjoyed the stillness of the place.
This is definitely a hidden gem that is lost in the list of Bow Valley Golf courses. Course conditions are fantastic!!! Great views of the mountains and challenging. Tip: keep the big stick in your bag, this is a tight course where course management is needed. Highly recommend you play here. Oh shoot, almost forgot the most important thing, and the BEST THING, you will end up paying only 1/3 of the green fees you would pay at the Springs, Silver Tip or Stewart Creek.
Just finished playing 18 holes. One would expect to be peaceful and serene playing in this environment. This experience was the exact opposite. For about 14 holes, we encountered grounds keepers mostly on the greens, but also the fairway and tee box. There were 3 different ones out there. Waiting for them resulted in slow play in front and behind us, and feeling irritated with motors running while trying to chip and putt. I'd never play here again without asking if they were going to be out. An expensive afternoon of irritation.
Great place for a bachelor party golf session. The guy who drives around is super friendly. Amazing views too being so close to the mountains. Can also wear fairly casual attire.
