It's a public course in the middle of St James, so you have to remember that first. But for what it is, it well maintained, nice greens and generous fairways. Staff is friendly and clubhouse is great for a bite and a quick beer ????

Even during "social distancing" guidelines, the course was so overbooked that our foursome teed off 40 minutes later than our scheduled time. The pace of play was horribly slow. It took 3.5 hours to play the first 9. The condition of the course, especially the greens, is quite poor. Considering the cost ($40 green fee; $20 half cart) and the time to play the round (5.5 hours), I don't intend to return. There is much better golfing to be had elsewhere in Manitoba.

This is a great 9 hole course that is centrally located. Tee boxes are in excellent shape as are the fairways. Greens and bunkers are average. I think it is fairly priced and usually have a good special going to help out with cost.

Always have a blast playing The Bone. It's great for juniors and beginners. Legendary Ladies League and Men's Night. It doesn't punish you for poor shots, but is challenging enough to get your money's worth.

I was at a wedding here. The ceremony location they have available is quite nice for a golf course. Secluded and quiet area away from the main course. The service was good...and the food quality was average for a banquet hall.

Zero flow to the course. Two greens to multiple holes in a vain attempt to turn 9 holes into 18, causing a bit of unnecessary confusion. It is cheap though. But for a quick cheap 9 holes in the city, Canoe Club is a far better choice.

In my family, we affectionately call this the"zip line park." The kids love it mainly for it's zipline like feature. Expect lineups on nice days for use of the zipline.

Great little 9 hole course in the city. Makes a round after work very doable. Greens aren't great compared to other courses but for around $20 you can't get it all.

Open mud piles on the course with very poor greens, no notice if they ever have an event on and will close the course down an hour before an unposted event. Now my last resort for golf

Nice little 100 year old club. Good food options. Long and short holes. Pretty much 9 holes but they have second tees and some separate greens for 18... some the same. Excellent value for Ladies League.. lots of play options.

The greens at assiniboine are substandard at best. Fairways are full of brown grass. No signage for the layout of the course. On top of that the pros hop staff are obviously not happy with there career choice and seem to want u there less than they want to b there. The beer girl does not carry beverages in her cart, so if u want a drink you'll get it 2 holes after you order and she only showed up twice in 18 holes. This is a $25 course at best in it's current condition and I'm embarrassed to have paid a $25 green fee
