???? Horrible ????. Tuesday March 21, 2017 at 2:00 pm. I decided to bring my 5 children to Scandia today to get out of the house for Spring break. Most of the machine's in the kiddie room were broken and didn't work and ate our coins. ???? They are always under staffed it took 30-45 minz for my kids to get they tickets counted and receive their toys... Do not recommend this place.

Overall mini golf and the arcades was fun and kids enjoyed themselves. We had a great time until redeeming the tickets for toys with the kids. There was a large line up due to being severely understaffed. Everyone in line for the toys had expressed how it's always a long wait everytime. We waited about 30 until a older gentleman clearly flustered came to help us but was not helping ppl in order of lineup and was picking whoever had their hands stuck out first as if it was a bartender at a crowded bar with no manners. The kids were upset they were being skipped for no reason. We knew what we wanted as we already waited 30 mins until we were helped. If there was just more staff all of this could be avoided. I wanted to take the kids on the gokarts after, but after that we immediately left. The whole negative ticket redeeming process completely overshadowed any good experiences we had that day.

It's a fun little place that keeps you coming back. Weather you are a local or a traveler it's something fun to do and there just aren't enough of its kind anymore. In normal times there are batting cages, go karts, mini put, and tons of arcade games and machines where you can win good old fashioned tickets. Currently they have less machines as to be more properly socially distanced, lots of sanitizer everywhere, masks are required and enforced. Does it mean you can't have a good time? Hell no. Keeping the best is all there! Fun stop no matter what

Don't get me wrong, scandia is pretty fun but the old man who looks like he's never been laid is rude to me and my family everytime we've been there, grow up, and humble yourself. looking through these reviews there's quite a few other people that feel the same way. he tried to openly embarass my family about an issue with banking, then went on to act like we don't have feelings about being publicly humiliated. very disappointed. as a side note the staff seem absolutely miserable as well not a very welcoming place by any means.

In fact, it's like a time warp back to the 1980s of an era when video games and arcades were booming and the baby boomer generation needed activities for their children... this is a great place to go with the family or with your friends to spend time at the arcade. this place has go karts mini golf indoor and outdoor and new and old arcade games for all ages. the batting cages is where you can go agents your friend to see who hits more or just practice for a upcoming game. i reconmend this place i always have fun here. the food here is delicious the pizza is a defendant try.

Had some time to kill, so went to play a round of mini golf. Two adults for the outside course was 23 dollars. The course was good and challenging. The only downside was that the course had a fair number of mosquitos. The course has lots of structures that the owner has spent painstakingly time and effort maintaining. A must visit if you want some fun.

This place is super fun. Unfortunately a lot of the machines don't work 100% of the time, even the new ones. And skeeball is completely gone now, replaced by a digital bowling game which is not even comparable in my opinion. Try to come when it's not busy (avoid school groups like the plague). Not just to avoid waiting in line, but also if a machine is down it will take the attendants forever to help you. The staff is usually good though, they will replace tokens if a machine eats them. They recently moved around a couple sections in the arcade which feels a lot better now. New games come in every so often which is really cool. The batting cages and go carts are always fun. I haven't done minigolf in a few years, but I am looking forward to experiencing the renovations downstairs. There is a good variety of prizes to buy with the tickets. Whether you're only staying for 45 minutes or 2 and a half hours, you will have fun here.

Drove two hours there and back on my day off with two kids to enjoy the evening at Scandia. Thanks to local flooding they have closed which I understand. HOWEVER, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE OF YOU TO PUT THAT INFORMATION ON YOUR WEBSITE SO I WOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO DRIVE FOR 4 HOURS. As I sit at their front door with these four children, I've since seen eight different vehicles pull into the lot just to pull away disappointed, because they thought Scandia was open. How would they kno2 any better? UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE IN THE FUTURE IF YOU'RE GOING TO BE CLOSED.

Mini golf was all we played. Not a cheap family outing by any stretch... Nearly forty five dollars for a family of four to play a round of mini golf. That said, the course is fairly well maintained and the holes fun and well designed.

Lovely little arcade and mini golf centre just off the main road. A combination of an old school classic mall rat arcade along with the chuck e cheese, bullwinkle's redemption arcade. Lil mini golf on the side as well. Tokens are 3 for 1.00, and while it advertises that most games are a token this is just plain false. Most single token games are older games that you could emulate on your phone these days. If they didn't advertise on their websites that this was true i wouldn't point it out. With that aside though, almost all their arcade games are fully functioning and they even have linked play machines of some good classics like time crisis 2, daytona usa, initial D, virtual on which is a rarity these days. They have a great range of newer games as well but be prepared to drop at least $20 for you and a friend to play through a newer game and see all the bosses and levels. Redemption side they have a couple rooms with games of all types for kids of all ages. They're really prompt with keeping ticket machines full and only a handful of their games were defective (with clear signage indicating so). They have a classic "wall of stuff that costs more than your average college tuition in tickets" but you knew what you were getting into when you walked into the ticket games room. There's a nice monopoly money voucher system that lets you collect tickets over multiple sessions so that your child can drain your bank account over multiple sessions, all so they can finally redeem a national GDP worth of tickets for that $5 stuffed taco. There's a big open restaurant area that has curtained stages that open up to 80's style animotronic robots that will bring nostalgic tears to you, but will terrify any modern child who has played five night's at freddies. Great mini golf area that is lit up at night with very reasonble rates of play, there's even a discounted rate for replays! As this is the only attraction like this for many miles that mini golf course is busy. Between locals looking for anything to do late and tourists like myself, the mini golf course made me wish there were passing lanes like on the freeway. It's a real shame there weren't three 6 hole courses so it doesn't feel like one perpetual line up. If you catch the course on a quieter night, it would be a blast. The food is just pizza and fun junk food, but you knew that when you saw the giant lit up windmill outside on the golf course. Bring your kids, friends and family and have a blast! Just make them buy their own tokens :p

The games are fun and all but the only downside is the fact the people that work there look like there being forced to work there with handcuffs. Would it kill you people to smile ? I asked the lady with the glasses trust me you ll know who im talking about she just looks like one of those cranky women that dont have anything to smile for but anyways i asked her to throw a paper in the garbage for me and she literally gives me a look like i just asked her to dispose of a body so my conclusion would be fix half your game machines cause they dont even accept the tokens and lastly fix you god damn attitude towards customers :/ or hire someone new that can actually smile other then that good vibes !

Prices aren't advertised, but they're reasonably priced for an activity center. My boyfriend and I purchased a combo deal that cost about $20 for mini golf (regular price $10.50), a round of go-karts and 20 tokens (25c each). Overall, you can tell the place is aging, but it's a decent facility. I was not able to try the outdoor mini golf course, but it had cool decor. I tried the indoor jungle mini golf - the 18-hole course was pretty standard. The decor was average (kids would definitely love it though) as some of the things were falling apart (not noticeable unless you're looking for it). The starting position for the golf balls are indented, so I advise not using them unless you want the ball to roll back. My experience with the go-karts were bad. The course itself was fun, but they don't provide hairnets for helmets and the karts were low quality. They were bumpy, something you could definitely tell if you were trying to go full speed. One of the ladies left the course (either got kicked off or wanted to leave) and all the go karts stopped working. We weren't told why, and it definitely cut into our playtime. Also, I'm a petite person and even though I strapped myself in the kart, I couldn't go fast as I felt myself bumping around in the seat. I never had that problem with the karts in Calgary. Even if you're not petite, the bumping from the go-karts was extremely uncomfortable. Lastly, the arcades. Lots of games to select from, and the ones that were completely busted were some of the fighting games, and all of the pinball machines. The ones that were working were a hit-or-miss; generally they all worked. The other reviews may be outdated, as I was expecting most of the machines to be busted. Sometimes when you put tokens in, it got stuck in the slot. If you tap the area, your coin will fall in...but beware that this does happen (although every arcade tends to have these types of problems). The retro game selection was great, most cost about 1-2 tokens. When my boyfriend played these games, they did only cost 25c...but hey, inflation. Didn't get a chance to play all the different games, but I'd be interested in going back to play. I can't say too much about the ticket games, as I'm not really interested in those when I go to an arcade. We did take a look around and the selection wasn't that great (compared to semi-interesting ones at Cineplex theaters for example). Overall: - Prices for activities are average (based off Calgary prices) - Indoor mini-golf wasn't super exciting - Go-kart course was decent, but the karts itself weren't - Arcade has a lot of selection, worked for the most part, and weren't outrageously priced Would go again if I had the chance (but probably just for the arcade).

New indoor course is awesome. They've done a wicked job rebuilding after last springs flood. Challenging. Clean. And quite fun. 4/5 because... THEY SEND TOO MANY PEOPLE DOWN INTO THE MINI GOLF INSTEAD OF STAGGERING PEOPLE! New course is bound to be packed for weeks to come. Course gets extremely crowded with large groups. Probably wouldn't play it in groups of more than 4/5 people. The new layout makes extremely good use of the space. They've updated a fair share of games. Added new ticket games (SPACE INVADERS!). Good times had by all.

Been going here all my life, my parents and grand parents went here. This place is the greatest thing Kelowna has to offer hands down. It's something you can't find nowadays and I am so glad it's still around! The games are all modern, its clean, the food is great, the golf course is exciting and fun, the go karts are my personal favorite, they're pretty quick, and I love practicing my aim in the batting cages. Hell, I even remember sitting in a booth, eating pizza, watching the animatronics sing. I love it, all of it, it's a local treasure!

Scandia has been around since I was a kid – and has not had many updates since then! The upstairs arcade area is filthy and outdated. Half of the arcade games are broken; most are well on their way to being “vintage”. The singing monkeys in the dining room area are a pretty sad sight. The indoor mini golf in the basement is the only thing worth doing here. The basement area was updated recently because it flooded, so its still relatively clean-looking and is a decent way to kill a couple hours on a rainy afternoon. Aside from indoor mini golf, save your money! If you’re looking for outdoor mini golf, you’re way better off visiting 19 Greens on the westside.

recently gave a facelift to their outside golf course which definitely brings it up a rank since you want to play outside there ALWAYS, their games feel nice and nostalgic arcade feel, collecting tickets, saving them and redeeming for prizes. they have multiple baseball batting boxes with machine pitches and golf carts. as a locals advice their go karts are pretty sweet cause you can use them as bumper kart go karts against other players which is a BLAST especially if you are with a party of friends

This place looks great right now. Everything was tidy and up to date. The new mini gold downstairs was a blast. Great holes and the new Pirate theme turned out fantastic. Management has it moving back to being a place to hangout for a hour or two.

5/5 almost if not better then Disney land. As soon as the vaccine came out I got it so I could bring me and my kids to scandia. Why go to Disneyland when scandia is cheaper for the same experience. Old guy behind the counter was very friendly and staff is 10/10. This is a must see attraction when you go to kelowna 10/10 would 100% recommend

One parent is fine, second must pay The business owners are sometimes proudly protecting their own nonsense policy. Parents taking kids for an activity to gymnastics, to sport events, bowling etc., and happy support children's development by watching them at playing. On September 11, 2021 at 5:15 p.m. we arrived with two kids 8 and 6 to spent time as a family to play minigolf at Scandia Golf &Games. We paid $20 cash for children and were told that only one parent can watch how kids are playing. Second parent (the father) was asked to pay full ticket price for watching how both kids are going to play minigolf or leave and wait outside. Father asked to invite manager and asked manager not to discriminate customer by asking family to be separated, because the original intend was to spent family time together. Father explained the purpose to bring two little customers to enjoy them play the game. After father refused to pay for watching kids playing, manager refused entry to whole family and asked family to leave the facility. Mother asked to return twenty dollars and manager declined to pay and kept money for the stress they received from customer. As a father I still believe that family can't be separated and no one should force to pay for kids watching how they play. Often families go to restaurants and no-one is forced to pay for the entry both parents, who just wanna buy food to kids only. I totally get it, where is coming from (gain more profit) to force parents to pay to watch kids at playing, but it's completely wrong and has to be addressed. My hope they remove this discriminated rule and I want that my kids finish the game they paid for and we parents enjoy them watching at playing as a complete family: mother, father, daughter and son. I will continue to bring up this issue via castanet and business claims, till I get my $20 back and apologies for the stress to my children. It become more personal - stop discriminate and allow free entry to both parents watching them enjoying your great facility. One more thing, COVID rules are completely ignored at this facility and the call to interior health agent will be completed this week. You should provide great customer service and learn how to do business right!!! I will give you a lesson....

Went there with my sister a month ago. I was quite excited as I have always been a game nut and love Arcades. Mini golf was fine. The staff aswell as the atmosphere seemed quite miserable. And it was sad to see half of the machines were out-dated and broken. The popcorn machine was also broken. And snacks were lacking. When I asked to get some tickets I won out of a machine that wouldn't eject them, the lady turned me down. And some machines just ate up our tokens. Was honestly disappointed and the whole experience was not at all what I imagined. I feel if location wasn't so far out (For more customers or possibly do more Advertising as I didn't know this place even existed), the staff were a little friendlier and if they fixed some of the machines we'd be more than happy to go back. Unfortunately it's not a place I'd recommend to anyone I know and I don't believe I'll go back.

We have a lot of fun coming here, even as full grown adults. You seem to get a lot of value out of the tokens, however about 30% of the machines seem to be broken at any given time, and some machines just don’t give tickets even though they should. The mini golf is fun and affordable and pretty well done. A lot of the holes are the exact same (just a straight putt down the middle) which got a bit boring after a while, but it’s still a good time. Definitely worth checking out!

Batting cages & go karts were still closed for the season despite the website saying their open. The 18 hole mini golf inside was fun, but nothing special. The men’s bathroom was dirty & had pee stains all over the toilet. On the positive side staff were friendly & the mini golf was very reasonable price. Lots of arcade games to choose from.

Arcade had a good number of machines, but many of the 2nd or 3rd tier 'classic' games with many of the machines being newer ones. Can't complain too much though, we had fun for what we paid. Mini-golf was well maintained and priced well. Recommended if you're looking for a cheap way to entertain some kids, or just waste some time.

We bring our kids to play ticket games to win prizes. The ticket game room is totally overlooked and outdated. Half the machines don’t work or are not properly stocked. Understaffed and 70’s show retro games for the most part. Total joke. It would be nice for a major change once a decade. Pull your socks up Scandia there are too many options in town for you to stay viable.

Perfect place to have fun with your friends and family. They have everything from mini golf floors, billiard tables, to just the plain arcade boxes. In the spring and summer seasons they open up their go cart tracks. I just wished the place can add a little more light throughout the different rooms.

I went for the arcade and got $20 of tokens, Turns out half the machines had “out of order” signs. 30% just took your tokens, broke half way through, or didn’t give out tickets. The other 20% were pretty fun games and I enjoyed myself playing them. Gave my tickets to some kids* The rest of the facility looks good (mini golf etc.) but I only did the arcade*

Wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of this town? Head on over for some mini-golf, games and go-carting!!! As you head towards the entrance, you are greeted with the rushing sounds of the creek that runs under the bridge into this magical place. Having lived in the Okanagan since I was 2, this iconic place has always been a part of the scenery. When rumors of it shutting down hit the news, I was heartbroken! So happy to see that the owners were able to put a new spin on the place, many of the old structures outside which have been in disrepair for years have been spruced up, and it looks like they will be opening the one section which has been closed for years! Looking forward to more improvements, and many years to come.

Scandia is one of the few remaining attractions of yesteryear that still functions and remains extraordinarily busy. There has been very little change here over the decades but I think that's what a lot of people appreciate about it.

My besties and I had gone to Scandia last night to have a splendid time, but that was not the case. The staff was arrogant and rude. They kept running to this secret room that had blacked out windows and kept us thinking if we were safe in this establishment. It was not busy that night and they took the longest to count our tickets. Not to mention they counted them wrong.. Half of our favorite games were out of service and the ones that worked were rigged or had no tickets to give. My friend Karen scored 1000 tickets on the old tiger game and she only received 5 tickets. Unacceptable. It's safe to say that I will never be returning to this place.

Horrible service. Go kart attendant had no care in the world for his job, running on and off the track, no doing thorough safety checks and didn’t bother helping with anything. Mentioned to different staff member and they got very hostile and the manager didn’t care that the customers were upset, just happily pointed us to the door. Absolutely nothing will make me recommend this dump to anyone.

My best friend and I travel to Kelowna just to go here, and play mini golf. We always prefer the hours it wont be as busy, for we suck at it and take forever to finish a single hole. The arcade has gotten some new games, which I look forward to playing next time !! I recommend 100% for a good time, also looks like a fun idea for a kids birthday party. The outdoor mini golf is really neat, I love the buildings.

Lots of arcade games. Mini golf 18 hole course. It is very expensive to go there for a day but it is very fun. The prices are 1 dollar for 3 tokens and normally each game is around 2 tokens to play so the money adds up very fadt. The jungle golf or indoor golf has just been renovated and looks very fun. There is a go kart track mini golf inside and out and batting cages there is plenty of parking during the day but the later you go the busyer it gets

My kids frequently request a visit here. They especially enjoy going in the evenings on the weekends, when the games aren't as busy, so they can game out as long as they want. They love the prizes available at the counter, and really like the owner.

This was super fun! My kids really enjoyed themselves. You can buy a combo for $24.95 and get Outdoor golf, go karting and 18 tokens, which was perfect for us. The outdoor golf was fun, we had lots of laughs and after we did the go karts. They went pretty fast and finished it off with some arcade games. We stayed about 1.5 - 2 hours there.

I've grown up in kelowna my entire life, everyone has found childhood memories of this place. But as I've gotten older I've noticed how absolutely run down it is. The only well maintained things are the golf karts and outdoor mini golf. The arcade is very outdated and half the machines don't run properly. Everything is very over priced. Have an attendant bring the paper money instead of inserting new packs of tickets to watch come out of the machine. Usually takes a while to find someone and then have to wait on jackpots with tickets. Seems wasteful of paper!

Half the games did not work in the ticket area. Most just ate your tokens and didnt have an out of order sign. Prize counter was a joke 25 tickets for a 5 cent ???? or you could get a toy that im pretty sure is crappier quality then the .99 cent store. Wont go back kamloops has way better arcades

Scandia has been around forever - from the days we were teenagers we often frequent this attraction when we stop in Kelowna. Fast forward many years later, we took our nephews here and they had a blast. Too bad they are a bit younger as they were craving to drive the go karts themselves. I'm sure we'll be back in a few years time when they are able to do it themselves. The arcade is a blast and they have all sorts of new and fascinating games to old school arcade games too.

I have made some awesome memories here. Scandia is definitely not in it's hayday anymore but is still a great place to have a fun night. If you want the old arcade experience this is the place to go. On the other hand though, if you want something a bit more updated and modern you probably won't enjoy it here because 99% of the attractions are straight out of the 80s.

New indoor mini golf course is challenging and fun though i don't know how to score the last hole. Outdoor mini golf is fun on a nice day. The arcade is fun! though the skee-ball machines could use some work only one of them spits out tickets not that the tickets matter as the prizes are typical. There is also batting cages and go carts. Good place to kill a few hours.

Loved going here as a kid. Over the years it has became a bit of an eye sore. Old and dusty indoor golfing and arcade games that don't work. Since their latested renovations the place has become fresh again. New indoor golfing and new and modern but with a taste of old classic arcade games. If you haven't been here in a while, it is good to try this place again. This place is much better than before and there will be a few things you will remember back from you childhood.

My son and I had a great time playing miniature golf on their outdoor course. It was quite busy at about 1 p.m. in the afternoon, so we had to wait at most of the holes for between three and five minutes. It was a fun experience, especially winning a free game at the end!

What a joke!! Quite a few games and machines are broken and others are a constant fight. In 10 minutes we've had three machines take our tokens and the machine not work or the tokens come out. The one "Skee Ball" machine that seems to work doesn't count points properly, nor does the double person air hockey table. The only thing good about this place is that the indoor mini golf is no longer gross and musky smelling as it has been renovated after last spring's flood. Scandia - you could have a really good thing going here but instead you have a place we don't want to bring our children to ever again. It's just not worth the haste of telling them the game they want to play doesn't work and having to hunt down an employee to get our tokens back!

It really gets your hopes up and then shoots them down. Some cool old arcade games, but they are very poorly maintained. Was pumped to see MK2, but neither player's buttons worked. Virtua Fighter, joysticks broken. Multicade had stuck buttons. Many others are just out of order, taking up space. However, if you're in Kelowna and have a bunch of money/ kids to entertain, Scandia does the trick. They'll still love it.

This place has been my favourite since I was a kid! Every summer when we travel from Alberta to Kelowna this is our go to! We love both mini golfs and the arcade is also super fun! It's definitely an old place and a little run down, but it reminds me of my childhood and will always go back and spend some money! Super fun!

This place is fun to visit, but an absurd number of games are broken (especially the ticket games). About half were labeled as out of order, and about half of the "working" games were nonfunctional. When I politely mentioned it to the girl at the counter (since I had lost so many tokens) she angrily berated me and said that as soon as I find a broken game I need to report it. I explained that I didn't know it was urgent since there were already so many other broken games and she snapped back, "What do you expect on a long weekend?" Customers aren't staff. If jamming is a problem on long weekends, how about having a staff member periodically check the machines? I'm sure lots of angry customers are rude to staff, but I was calm and polite, so why berate me? I certainly hope that kids are treated better. I also never got any of my eaten tokens replaced, even though I offered to show the girl the games that had done it (she said she would walk through later). I realize that some of these games are hard to repair, but something clearly needs to be done, whether it's keeping more spare parts on hand, replacing whole machines, or hiring someone from out of town to do periodic repairs. The current system isn't working very well! That being said, I was happy to see some new machines that weren't there the previous time, and the gocarting is fun. Worth an occasional visit since there are no other options in town.

There are still a few issues with the games eating coins, but they've updated their offerings and there are a lot of new pinball machines and arcade games available with some of the older ones. Went at 11:00 AM. The place was quite empty so we didn't need to wait in any long lineups. The karting is definitely the most fun activity to do. The karts drive fast and the course is fun. The mini golf is also entertaining, but standing in the direct sun for 16 holes wasn't the smartest idea. The arcade games are also fun, some machines may steak your tokens however. The indoor arcade area is very comfortable due to the air conditioning. The prices are also okay, not too draining on your wallet. Will definitely come again!

Had tons of fun with my dad at both mini gold courses, both were amazing and had a lot of really cool small details. Although inside was very hot especially with masks and half the games were out. We had planned to do both courses and play some games but after playing the indoor mini golf we were both extremely warm and saw almost all the games we liked said they were out of order. Would've stayed a lot longer if it was a little cooler and more games were working.

Great mini golf! I went with a big group and we had a really fun time. Each hole is different and unique so there is definitely plenty of variety here. One complaint would be that shooting the golf ball into a "special" ramp wouldn't really get you an advantage like it does at other mini golf places... getting it into a special hole will usually result in a hole-in-one, but not here. Other than that though, this is a really fun mini golf place and I definitely recommend checking it out!

We had tag 15 and we watched 17-21 come out with similar orders. Figured out our order was sitting in the warmer and wasn't brought out to us.... Go carts were fun though....

Scandia Golf & Games is a very decent place for any outing. There is a decent variety of games, there's more modern and new ones right where you walk in but if you want more retro and nostalgic games you can find them in the back. The machines in the front work very well but you may have difficulty with some of the older ones a few times. There is also go karts and mini golfing which also provide a fun experience. The mini golfing is a nice and laidback experience, the clubs hold up well, the decorations are old but they look well maintained and the courses are good in variety. It's a little short so you may have to wait for another group to finish if it's busy. Overall this is a very fun place to go to and it provides a decent variety of games

The owner was rude and went off to someone who has a dog with them , couldn’t even ask politely to his customer that was dog isn’t allowed even though they’ve asked the workers there if the dog were allowed. Saying that his the owner and he makes the rules here but doesn’t tell his employees to wear masks inside or outside , even HE isn’t wearing any mask. Good place but really bad customer services.

Love this place! Mini golf, Go Karting, Games and more! Highly recommend this place as it is fun for the whole family. The go karting is kid friendly(unlike my experience somewhere else) and the minigolf is very fun for the whole family. The games are ok but are glitched. One of the games scammed me and one of the games glitched and gave me the jackpot.

What else can I say, its Scandia!!!! From the batting cage, to 3 types of minutes I golf, billiards room, pin ball, video and arcade games.....for as little as 20$ or 30$ the whole family can be entertained for an afternoon of fun and quality time. My kids LOVE Scandia. Not as much and my hubby and I do though lol. It's just a good wholesome place to hang out and be together.

Had fun and appreciated the social distancing measures for indoor mini golf. Some games and seating have been removed to accomodate social distancing as well and there is a hand sanitizer station. However masks are not made mandatory for patrons or staff and during my hour or so in the arcade I did not see any games get sanitized (though I note our golf clubs were sanitized immediately as we handed them back ????). If you're nervous about going out due to covid I would recommend waiting to visit Scandia until things have calmed down :)

We went there for an afternoon of golf and go cart rides. The mini golf was fun and challenging. However the video games liked to eat your tokens. The employees were not concerned with serving you at the counters and acted like they did not want you there.

Was traveling from the Lower Mainland and saw on their website that this place had an AC/DC pinball machine, and being a huge fan of the band, decided to try out this place. Show up to three pinball machines, two only worked and the AC/DC is not actually there, which you shouldn't advertise what you don't have. Over HALF of the machines are out of order. The only saving grace was the ticket girl/staff being very friendy and helpful. If you like over priced nachos with the microwaved burnt cheese stuck to the paper plate then this is the place for you.

Went there and eventhough the only things open were like golf , baseball cage and go carts , I had a great conversation with a young man behind the counter...quite a few laugh....he should get a raise lol...his customer skills are very good....i will be back for sure....cant wait to play my favorite bowling game machine ????????

What's not to love about Scandia! Good place to feel like a kid lost in a maze of flashy noisy arcade games. You can play redemption games to win tickets for prizes. Also definitely recommended are the go karts. Fun little track with lots of corners. Mini golf is always a classic too. One redemption game didn't dispense my hard-earned tickets, I just asked a staff member and she fixed it quickly. I got my tickets with no issue! Downside is it can get a little pricey here... but the fun atmosphere and high energy makes it worth it!

Scandia is a pretty cute place. My mom (who is now in her early 40's) used to go here as a teenager, and claims that the place hasn't changed a bit, so it's got kind of a vintage feel to it. Good mini golf, they have both an outdoor option, which is nice, and also an indoor, glow in the dark one, which is super fun! They also have go-karting, which I've never tried, pizza, (which is a bit overpriced from my experience...) and an arcade, which has been greatly updated since the last time I visited in 2017. Lots of new games and they got rid of most if not all of the malfunctioning games. Still, lots of the time a game will malfunction, and many are out of order... Really not a good selection for prizes, but in my opinion arcades are more for the experience and the fun playing games rather than the prizes, right?

Scandia is one of the places I make sure to visit when I go to Kelowna. The new inside mini golf is really nice and I always enjoy the outdoor mini golf as well. I tried the go karts today and they were really fun, I enjoyed being a passenger in the 2 person karts since I don't like driving go karts. The prices here are reasonable and we always have a great time!

Outdoor minigolf was a ton of fun. The course and the gardens were well-maintained and looking great. The arcade games were in a bit of disrepair, so we didn't spend too much time in that part. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Fun place for a date. Some great classic arcade machines and a fun jungle themed crazy golf course in the basement. It was winter when I went so the outside golf and go carts was closed. A few games machines inside were down but still plenty to play on. The staff on at the time seemed bored and tired but it was pretty late. They serve soft drinks and a few different bites.

I was looking for places to have fun in Kelowna when stumbled on the Scandia Golf & Games - specially interested in the go-kart. In their website there is a Covid-19 update informing what services are open or closed. We were there on Feb 28, 2021- we even brought our helmets just to be told that go-kart was not open...I initially thought maybe there was a problem and was not working on that day...but no, it was not open for the season...however their website says the opposite. (See screenshot) I talked to an older man letting him know about the misleading information on their website he said he wasn't sure why the info was there and was going to ask to update...I checked today and it still says go-kart is open. We still did the mini golf and arcade games which was fun.

There is a claw machine that will pick up a toy, raise it a bit, then intentionally drop it. For $2 (not tokens) you can experience this at scandia. I used to love scandia too.

An absolute gem of a place! Best indoor AND outdoor mini golf I've ever played. Anyone that remembers Bullwinkles or Chuck E. Cheese's peak in the early 90s will immediately feel at home here, but anyone younger than that will have a blast as well. My bandmates and I always stop here on our Calgary-Vancover tours. It sure would be a great concert venue for millenials, eh management? ????????

Staff essentially new what they were doing, but could not hold back from their crude language or their short tempered attitudes in a supposedly kid environment. From a family of six with younger kids they should not have to experience that level of vulger over a accidental hit or failure to hit the brake in time. Overall karts were good but if you make any type of mistake your practically banned and sweared at.

Not very happy with this place. Started with line up for tokens. Took more than 10 minutes to get them. Then half the games were not working. Had to go back twice to get tokens back and had to search for a game that worked. This place has hundreds of people in a day. I'm pretty sure the owner can afford to fix the games and how some more people to help the overworked staff. Then we got some food. Just chicken fingers and fries with gravy. We watched two tables that ordered after us get their fries before us and my brother's table. We waited half an hour. No sorry. No explanation. Just a shrug. So many people, we didn't want to golf.

Ok, it’s only one aspect of this facility, but on a rainy day when people are looking for an indoor activity and mini golf is an option, maybe don’t let everyone in. Waiting in the humid and hot basement with 150 others as we line uo to waif at each hole and crowd each other as we try to stay off the previous green is not fun. Maybe next time, pay attention to how many people you shuffle through a limited size space in an attempt to pocket as much cash as possible. Until they make a change, avoid Jungle Golf on a rainy day.

This place is awesome. The arcade is nice, the indoor and out door mini golf is really fun. The go carts are great but the helmets smell and look like they are not cleaned. That is why it lost a star. After every use you should spray them like bowling shoes to stop the spread of bugs.

Terrible management, blatant disrespect towards customers when normal concerns were brought up (no paper towel in the bathrooms, machines not dispensing tickets or working at all) Lack luster golf courses, empty alcohol containers littered everywhere. Garbage everywhere as well. Go kart course has more potholes and ruts than Wayne Gretzky (edmonton) drive in 2015. Batting cages seem to hit low, not to mention all of the provided equipment felt super greasy, no sanitization happening. Great staff but don't expect your dollar to go anywhere, just go for the fun.

Horrible service, have had 2 birthday parties there and was a nightmare from booking to end of party. Honestly everyone got sick. Reason for the review today, kids are out if school and decided to have some fun. A machine we were playing a puck had been tuck not allowing any more picks to fall through. I decided to lift a corner slightly for the puck to fall. A half hour later a manager ( old guy glasses ) walked up to my wife and I and 3 children and said if you ever do that again you'll have to leave, with a horrible attitude and tone. I then began to explain the puck was lodged and he walked away mid sentence and turned again and repeated himself. I was flushed and annoyed instantly. It's not what youbsay bit how you say it. NEVER AGAIN! Half hour later puck is still stuck. Very dirty place. Counter at coin booth is greasy. Under aged staff are also MIA as I would have asked them to help me. Don't want to work there? Then don't!

Came with family and bought $50 worth of tokens to use the batting cages. The ball machine broke on our 2nd go, so we asked for a refund which was refused. Terrible customer service and very unreliable equipment. Felt like we were scammed. We tried to get some use out of the tokens on the arcade games but half of those were broken too. Ended up just giving the tokens away to another family and leaving.

We always have a fun time when we go. Lots of new updates recently! There’s always a few games out of order (isn’t there always at arcades though?) sometimes tokens get eaten or jammed but they never have a problem replacing them when I let them know!

Fun spot. Mini gold course outdoors needs some maintenance but is definitely playable. Indoors course is very quick to play and all easier holes. I have been here twice and service has been very slow both times however I have always had a tonne of fun. It's great to have this spot in Kelowna.

Always brings back memories as it never changes. The indoor mini golf was damaged in the flood in spring 2017 but everything else is open. The best deal is the combo package which for $21 gives you a round of minigolf, a go kart ride and some tokens for the arcade games. Staffing is light so you may have to wait on some things. Some of the games are getting worn down and their token slots don't always register your token. If you can find staff though they will reimburse you. The arcades are mostly shooters and driving games. Many ticket games as well that you can redeem for prizes. Never had the food there but they do pizza and burgers.

This is a really cool place, with really fun minigolf and a ton of new and retro arcade games. Unfortunately the atmosphere of everyone working here is abysmal; many younger males vaping around the floor with their friends, ignoring their duties and everyone around them. The older man is very snappy and rude, he didn’t even say a word to us until the end of the night, despite us buying a round of minigolf from him, and *attempting* to pay for some tokens as well (we had to wait until another lady was free from inside the kitchen). He walked past us saying (quote) “go up and redeem your tickets and get out, we are closing soon”. It really sucks because if the employees working here had any sort of pride in their work, it would be an amazing place to go. Some machines ate up my tokens which sucked, but it happens every now and again. One of the machine’s token bin was left unlocked, so if I wanted to I could have replenished my losses which was nice at least. Prizes were ridiculously expensive for how many tickets you earn (compared to any other arcade I’ve went to, anyways), but no one behind the counter knew or cared what anything was worth so we (and the party beside us) got a few big prizes for pretty cheap. Overall it would be fun as a huge group where you have a lot of people to hang out with, but not a place I’d ever bring a date to.

Starting to get a bit run down in places, and even though lots of games in the arcade, when I was there about 10% of them were broken/out of service. The minigolf is overpriced, but good quality. As you enter, the first thing you see is the games that are not running. Once you get past all that, you will have an enjoyable time, even though the tokens are 3/$1. The staff are probably the least friendly staff I've come across in Kelowna on both my recent visits. Scandia has been a part of our family for over 20 years. We love going there. They've tried updating it here and there, so the old school nostalgia is gone. Definitely do the outdoor mini golf, the newly renovated indoor mini golf is TERRIBLE and super boring/monotonous.

A good portion of the games were out of order. The garbage cans were overflowing, generally dirty with garbage on the floors. Maybe the golf might be worth it but after what I experienced I didn't want to try. Every place has a bad day so I'll give it one more chance in the future.

Great place for a family to spend a few hours. The outdoor mini golf could stand to be updated and fixed. Lots of holes are in dyer need of repair. They are very short on staff so spend a lot of time waiting for service. The arcade games for the most part are okay. You see quite a few out of order signs on machines and quite a few more that should have out of order signs as they did not meet expectations.

Many games out of service, or the ones that aren't are routinely out of tickets. Saw a few mice and definitely a lot of droppings. Tried to talk to the management about it and had a small older man get incredibly aggressive with me, posturing and pressing his nose into my face - as if to start a fight. Would not consider returning.

Rude Old Man behind the Counter... took my two kids and my Nieces Mini golfing ( ages 7,6,4,3) paid at the counter once we paid they told us that we could not walk the Course with my kids ( parents of said kids ) that only one adult could walk the course with the four children as we are not paid customers trying to explain to the Grumpy old man that I paid and I just wanted to watch my kids golf and play Arcade games after auguring with the old man that this has never been a rule before I decided just to get my money back and leave as I was getting my money back they tried to pull the same stunt with another family which also just packed up and left ( costing the business at least 300$) . every time we have family or friends in town we always go to Scandia this is going to change I rather Drive to Penticton. reading some of the other reviews looks like I'm not the only one who has had run ins with he Grumpy old man I think they need to address this issue before they lose more clients IF I COULD GIVE A NEGATIVE STAR RATING I WOULD

Unfortunately, owners have decided to not to invest in proper training for very young staff that manage Go Karts. Given the speed and size of the machines going around the track, twice we observed Go Karts plowing into parked Go Karts (with people still in the karts) at the end of a racing session. This resulted in whiplash for a few patrons after the ride was over. Staff did not seem overly concerned as patrons were rubbing the back of their necks and heads after the ride was over. Warning - avoid the Go Karts until experienced staff is hired.

Atrocious service. Stay away, there's a movie theatre across the street. Employees are verbally abusive to customers. They targeted an individual who was mentally handicapped. Close this place down it'd be better off as a parking lot.

What a gong show. Staffing is comical, I've never seen such a poorly run establishment. Everyone is running around with no clue what's going on and they could care less about customers. I there is anything nice to say its the outdoor mini-golf was in great shape...once you finally found someone to take your money so you could play. they constantly spend money on new fancy money grab machines but can't spend the $20 it takes to repair the classics. I remember going there more than 10 years ago and every fighting game was broken. the screen is on and the game plays but almost every single button is broken. 10 years later at this is still the case. 10 years. a replacement button costs maybe $2 each and take like 10 minutes to do the whole machine.

Started to pay only to have an old person in a light blue shirt (assuming the owner) come up yelling no no no at the poor person serving us saying he decided to close the golf for the night. Lots of fun and lots of activities including acarde games, indoor and outdoor mini golf, batting cages and go-carts (activities are around 10$ per person). They are conveniently open until midnight on weekends making it a fun place to hang out with friends. In my opinion, the ticket prizes for the acarde are quite lame and obviously from the dollar store but the games to earn them are fun. The food and coffee is below average. But overall, I would definitely recommend this place for spending time with family or friends.

The old man that manages this place has the worst customer service ever! We went with some kids to do go karting and had called in advance to ask if it was wheelchair friendly. It was not so we had to use the exit (nobody was there) and leave the wheel chair there with someone watching it. He came out and yelled "hey you" to the parent watching the chair and proceeded to be rude and demeaning to her telling her she had to leave. We stayed to talk to him after the matter and explain that she had been asked to wait there by his staff as her daughter (who is dying of cancer) was on the go karts and told him he could have tried to be more polite. He wouldnt come out of his office and was contuing to be rude even then! We left right away which was sad because the young girl wanted to go again!

Been going here since I was little and always loved it. It's still fun and relatively affordable but I cant help being extremely disappointed that pretty much all of the best games (in my opinion) are gone. The hopping harry & jumping jack frog race game, the ones where you roll the ball down and try to get it into the highest prize slot, the one with the trash cans that would open and close and you would throw as many balls as you could in, wack-a-mole, the red motorcycles, the shooting game that was right by the front door and a few more. Some of which you still have pictures on your website and advertise as having. The new more "modern" games are fun but some are just boring; it's just not what it used to be which sucks. Wish you had gotten rid of some of the less fun games to make room for the new ones instead of all the fun ones. I understand that things get old and break and as technology advances you have to go with it but I still can't help being sad that I'll never be able to play those games again :(

Someone finally came and started helping people behind us in line before us. It was ridiculous my kid was super upset to be skipped over. Great experience. Very clean and games and play areas were well maintained. We went around 11am on a Monday and the mini golf and go karts were busy but arcade area was quite available. They seemed a little understaffed as there was a bit of a wait for tokens and the staff member was hustling. All in all a fun local way to spend the day.

Really cool place I remember going to one of these places when I was younger. The mini golf courses were great the outside one is beautiful and well kept. We had a lot of fun playing the arcade games inside but it was frustrating a lot of machines were broken or you would put your tokens in the machine takes them and you can’t play. Also we had two people and wanted to play together this happened multiple times we would put tokens in and one player would work and the other wouldn’t so then only one person would be able to play.

Fun time with good friends many different things to do , from mini golf (indoor and out door) to go karts, arcade games of all sizes from old classic ones and pinballs and ones you can sit in or on, baseball batting cage, if you have kids it is a good place to take em as there is a whole area dedicated to parties and they serve food from pizza to burgers and fries and pop , and there is plenty of space outside for parking to bring the whole family

Not really happy with today's experience. We went to go, go Karting an my one son was a smig off from being able to sit passenger. So he was so disappointed. Then half the games didn't work. My son and I were there yesterday, and went gokarting in the double gokarts. As soon as we left the start someone bumped into us and we did a 180 and were facing the opposite direction. The next kart that came collided with us head on. My sons helmet flung right off his head and the strap left huge scratch on his chin. My helmet flung forward and smashed my sunglasses into my nose which is now one giant bruise. I have pretty bad whiplash today as well and can barely turn my neck. I am really disappointed in how your staff handled the situation. They didn't even do anything to the people that bumped into us. Completely unprofessional, and considering my sons helmet flung right off this accident could have been much worse. Have a talk with your staff cause that's completely unsafe and unprofessional

Had to get my mother to buy the water bottles at the mini golf window for us. Then half the games are out of order in the arcade. So overall fun mini golf but garbage line management and customer care.

Been going to this place since I was a little kid and it has sure declined since those days. Half of the games weren’t working, half of the time you are trying to find someone to get your tokens back out of the machine that is supposed to work but doesn’t. The majority of the staff seems to be young rude employees who could care less about helping you. It’s a pity to see such a place in such a state of decline.

Always Lots of fun. The mini golf is great. The only negative I have is the amount of games that eat your tokens. Then having to find someone to give you your money back as the place is almost always busy. Some of the games are pretty old. All in all good place to bring the kids for a few hrs of fun. Went with a group of my friends and tried the new indoor golf course (as the old one was ruined in a basement flood within the last year and recently opened after renovations.) I found it not as fun as the previous mini golf course as many of the holes were hidden behind bumps or hills.To top that off many groups of people were rushing through it to get it done as fast as they could and we had to let them go ahead of us twice during our game of mini golf.

The Rockafire Explosion (animatronic monkey band) doesn't really function anymore, because I guess they gave up on its maintenance. the new upgrades look great the downstairs mini golf is really well done and the have a few new games there that are pretty good. downside is this place is run so bad its stupid. went to play mini golf and they had a water leak but could not be bothered to tell us till after we paid and were part way thru our game. would not have been that big of a deal only one hole down, but they were constantly walking thru our games. and not one said sorry or anything just acted like we were in the way

Was super busy which is understandable on a holiday, but they had 6 or so employees behind the counter with a line going out the door and only 3 of the employees were actually helping customers (one of the best workers was a senior citizen) while the rest of them chatted with their fellow coworkers and finished their conversation before helping us.. Then when they did decide to help us, the young gent held my poured drink in his hand and started another conversation for a good minute before finally putting a lid on my drink and handing it to me. This place is a joke, we came in for a fun night and the manger at the desk who was bigger man who was ginger screamed at us because we asked for a mask. Customer service is awful they don’t know how to speak to their customers and have horrible hospitality. We even had a friend call and the guy over the phone was being very rude. I do not recommend coming if the staff treat everyone this way.

The arcade was frustrating bc half the machines are out of order and the rest steal your token without doing anything. It is very loud in that area too. The go kart track was fun too.

Finally, the owner cared enough to wake up and get rid of all those awful games that broke down every time in! Plus many new games added finally and much cleaner too as was a big dust bowl before and I cringed going in so I stopped taking my daughter in for a long time. Now better energy and much cleaner and way more up to date FINALLY! Even Monkey Time Pizza looks better too somehow! Well done! 4.5 of 5! Cleaner always means BETTER! And updates gets one high marks always! Thanks.

The batting cages AREN'T as advertised 30 balls for 12 tokens? More like 15-20 balls. I counted after 3 hours not one machine gave 30 balls..not one.

Very fun for kids! At first feels expensive but they really put on a nice display and a good track and a pretty large arcade. A tiny bit cheaper and a less bumpy gocart track for the kids and it would be 5 stars all day.

We were there today with the Granddaughter. Lots of the machines/games were out of order. Very disappointing considering there was quite a few children and parents there. A little overpriced if activities are paid for separately. The best deal is the combo deal for $24.95. But again in this deal there is a gokart ride/18 coins and a game of mini golf. This golfing should be a choice of the outside or the Inside mini golf.

Had fun there, cool games, however the staff are less than pleasant and outwardly appear miserable,even the girl that walked out the birthday cake to a little kids birthday party couldn't crack a smile to save her life. I know they are busy and probably only at min wage but come on the staff also make the experience. And by the way the ticket scale is off,I had a game pay out a specific amount of tickets a few times and the scale was off by 20 + tickets two different times, I the kid at the counter just brushed it off and wouldn't answer me when I brought it to his attention.

Horrible service, waited 30 min for the go carts, the cashier was very rude when asked about the wait, then again when we tried to redeem our tickets for prizes. Would not recommend and would award 0 stars if the option was available.

Very poor management. Took my family on the go carts and there were a few idiot's, for lack of a nicer word, who were running into people and making young children lose control and crash. When the manager was informed, he he just chuckled and said yeah that happens and did nothing about it, even after the guilty party was pointed out to him. We will never go back.

Was really understaffed,my boyfriend and I were waiting about 15-20min to pay for go karting and when I tried to talk to one of the managers to let him know we were waiting along with a bunch of other people he was really rude and told me that he had other things to do and there was nothing he could do and we had to wait. So really disappointed with my experience and I recommend that you guys improve on your customer service.

Scandia's ownership has taken noticeable steps in the last couple years to update their image. Including replacing some games and removing some of the squalor that screamed outdated 90s arcade. The flood, I'm sure, helped with some much needed liquid reinvestment (pun not intended). We have yet to try the refreshed mini-golf courses, but it's looking cleaner and brighter both outside and downstairs. The games are renewed and most were working (although the occasional swallowed token and out-of-order sign hung in depressed darkness). The staff were attentive but young and unengaged - to be expected in such a venue I suppose. It may be the nostalgic reminders of my childhood, or maybe the renewed hope that Scandia will outlast the video arcade cull of the new millennium, but I'm happy with their new direction. I hope they will repair the enjoyable yet oft terrifying automaton stage-show, though I'm sure that would be a costly endeavor. A parting anecdote - in the old stage area sits a row of themed motorized rockers. One being a green helicopter. I remember sitting in that rocker some time in the late 80s. On our most recent visit I was able to sit my daughter in that same rocker some 30 years later. For that fact alone, I'm eternally grateful to Scandia.

We went on the go karts yesterday. The first ride was great, not too many people. During the second round some of the riders decided to play bumper cars - these karts are not designed to be bumper cars. I was hit hard from behind and my neck and back are hurting today. My son was complaining of a sore neck. Several of the other riders were hit as well. I complained during the ride and the two guys running the ride did nothing to stop the people crashing into others - they did give the guy who was hit twice trouble though. Be aware that you can get hurt on these things, and there is no recourse for the people bumping into you.
