My grandparents arrived today and after checking in, were faced with having to scale a barrier of snow just to access their room. My grandmother has a medical procedure in the morning and they chose this motel because they’d had a good experience in the past. However, my 85 year old grandfather is handicapped and had a very difficult time negotiating the snow and so my grandmother kindly called the front desk to ask if someone could clear a path to their car so he could access it without fear of falling. The man at the desk said that was no problem and that it would be taken care of soon. This was at 4pm. An hour later, nothing had happened and my grandparents were wanting to leave to get dinner. Again my grandmother called and again she was assured that it would be taken care of soon. By 7:30 a path had still not been cleared and my grandparents were forced to order in. When my grandmother called yet again, she was told that nothing would be done as there was too much ice and it wasn’t their policy. This is absolutely disgusting “customer service” and this establishment should be appalled at their conduct. If they find clearing paths to their rooms a hardship, I’m sure they’d find it even more inconvenient to be at the defending end of a lawsuit when someone hurts themselves on their property. Snow removal is a businesses legal responsibility and this blatant dismissal of a paying customers genuine concern for their safety, especially ones that are elderly and disabled, is despicable.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Oasis Inn for two nights. We stupidly booked through Booking.com for October instead of September as we were in a rush trying to find a place and when we got to the front desk to check in, neither myself or the lady at the front desk noticed the error. As we were checking out, she told us we would have to call Booking to cancel our reservation and if we did not do this, she would not return our $200 damage deposit. We cancelled the booking, and repaid for the two nights that we stayed at a significantly increased cost. Granted, I know it was our mistake that we booked for the wrong date, but we only chose Oasis because of the lower cost of the stay. The room was alright, but you could literally hear everything that was going on around you. The bathroom tap, and kitchenette tap was dripping all day/night, and you could hear the people next to you using the shower, bathroom, etc. Heard voices, snoring, movements from upstairs and next door ALLLL night. It was super difficult to sleep. Also slightly sketchy at night. Although the mistake of booking the wrong date was ours, I do believe the receptionist should have noticed this as we would have stayed at a motel that was similarly priced and better maintained. She was quite rude as well. This whole process made our checkout process about an hour long, when we were in a rush to get to Vancouver, not to mention it'll be about 2 weeks until I get my refund from Booking.com. She said she had tried to reach us to let us know that she noticed the error earlier, but we had received no phone calls or messages. If you are looking for a low cost stay in Kelowna, I would recommend the Econolodge a few streets up ahead. We should've gone with that again instead.

Place is old, needs new mattresses, some renos would be nice! AC is super loud! Sounds like a jet engine which wakes you up every time it starts at night! Good luck if you're trying to shower, there's no pressure! Might Aswell use water bottles or something!

Very well lit outside at night. Slightly noisy if window faces street. Would have liked to see fresh fruit for complimentary breakfast. Very clean inside and out.

Booked it through hotel.com and booked their costliest room. The room doesn’t look like pictures at all. Couch was smelling like dogs and we found bunch of hairs in bath tub , so had to cancel the booking . But my damage deposit was not returned and when i called them why didn’t they return it, they said everything was fine with the room and im probably lying . Its room number 214 i think. Also you can get better hotels through Hotel.com for same price. Don’t waste your money at this motel.

We had our own bedroom in a ground floor suite in the newly renovated area where the office us, with an additional queen bed and pull-out couch, while sharing with a friend, for a week. Great location a few blocks from the Hwy 97 Harvey, so much quieter, and a great outside, clean pool area. Very attentive and accommodating.

The room was pretty good, pool was nice, air conditioning needs a little more help. but its not pet friendly i wish they could change it because i would like to stay in again with my dog.

The greatest deal you can get. But overall the place needs improvements. Free Wi-Fi. And some TV.

Robert Byrnell

Clean and respectful staff but our bed wasnt great the first night. Second night it's been better.

I booked a room at this hotel, having noted on numerous web sites, including the hotel's site, that they are 'pet friendly'. There is no place in the registration process that allows for noting a pet. I called the hotel to confirm that they accepted pets, based on a little voice in my head, and was told that they DO Not accept pets, and are in the process of deleting this from their web site. Thank goodness I called or I would have arrived in Kelowna, only to be turned away with no accommodation and having to find something from my car. Very poor customer service.

Clean and friendly. Good deal compared to other motels. Great location close to downtown and the hospital

Check-in and check-out was very quick this day was very quiet and the staff was wonderful

Jon Evangelista

Basic accommodation in a convenient location from the highway. Basic continental breakfast. Clean accommodation and rooms are nicely laid out for sharing.

Great owner and space for short term rental

Tanya Minchau

Stayed during the off season with my dog. The room was cheap but I wish they would've stated on their site that there was an extra charge for the dog. The room was clean but freezing despite turning up the thermostat and the bed was super hard. I also had issues with the fridge temperature and the hair dryer shot circuited and stopped working after less than a minute of use. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was sufficient. Over all it was an okay stay.

I had $150 worth of my six year old sons’ brand new stuff blatantly stolen from my room. I called the front desk and they told me that was a non-issue and to maybe talk to the owner tomorrow when she’s in - but I am leaving tomorrow, and we just spent 5 days in Kelowna and every night we paid to stay in this place, but nobody has any offer on how to help the situation? We chose to file a police report instead. Avoid like the plague.
