Great little course for what it is. Peak season is only $38 to play, and in Spring usually $20. Don't get too bent out of shape if it's a little rough around the edges, it's not Gallaghers, but still a nice little course!

I understand that covid has had an impact on business, but with that being said I have been else where and it has not been so sterile and basic for top dollar, because it disappointing for a $17 bacon and cheese sandwich,as well as plastic cutlery and paper plates ????????????????????????. Wouldn't come back In a hurry to sterile ????????????

I've been to this golf course and number times for a charity event and I've always been impressed. The greens are great in the clubhouse is a nice place to get a beer and something to eat. Looking forward to visiting next year

Very bizarre experience at Michaelbrook today. Myself and my son are new to golf in the last year. We had always been led to believe that this course was a good place to start in the Kelowna area. We played here about 5 times last year without incident but today was coming letely different. We were joined by my son’s friend and his dad who are also both beginning golfers. The boys are 11 and are the types of kids who given a good experience at this age will likely become lifelong golfers. We played 9 holes and it was admittedly slow with many shots traveling less than 10 yards and par firs requiring 6 shots to reach the green. The boys were having a great time though and in an attempt to keep their spirits up we occasionally allowed them to play second shots after some of the more discouraging attempts. We let a group of two and two singles play through as we were very aware that we didn’t want to negatively effect anyone’s experience. We recongnized that it can be frustrating for a fast group to have to wait for beginners. Other than these players we saw no other groups within 5 holes of us. We finished our game (approximately 45 minutes slower than the suggested time for 9 holes) and returned out pull carts to the clubhouse. This is when the strangeness began. The other parent came out and told me that the woman in the pro shop was extremely upset with us and had yelled st him and his son for playing slowly. I entered the shop and was told that although we wouldn’t be banned from the course this time if we ever went over time again we would be in trouble. I was flabbergasted! We had made every attempt to ensure we were not obstructing anyone on the course and I told the employee that a significant amount of the time was used allowing people to play through. Being new to the game I thought I was being polite in doing so. We were told that we were not allowed under any circumstances to allow other groups to play through. She also mentioned that she had seen the boys taking second shots from the ninth tee. I told her that their first shots traveled less than 10 yards. She said that it was a golf course not a practise range and that they were to play the balls where they lay regardless. For a course that is purported to be friendly to new and young golfers, this reaction from the staff was quite a shock. The boys are at a vulnerable stage in the development of their interest in the game. There is lots of time to learn and play the strict rules of the game but I think there is value in allowing them to feel successful at this stage in their golf career to mantain their interest. Golf should be fun. At no time did we obstruct or delay any other player on the course. In fact we were acutely aware of not negatively effecting any other players game. In fact, other than the people we insisted play through we say no other players on the front nine holes. All in all I’m very unhappy with how we were treated today. As new golfers it wouldn’t have been hard for the staff to say something like hey we noticed you were over time today. It’s not a big deal when it’s quiet but here are some suggestions to speed your play so as not to obstruct other golfers when it’s busy. Instead we were basically yelled at, berated, and given a backhand threat to be banned from the course all for being poor golfers. I’m not sure this is the most effective way to promote the sport for newcomers.

We golf here often and have to say it is much improved! The updates are most welcome, and has given it a much needed facelift. Staff is always friendly (not always the case in the past). The course is in pretty good shape. We always enjoy our time at Michaelbrook! The new patio is especially welcoming for a cold drink on a hot day!!

The younger gentlemen named Cody in the pro shop was awesome and very helpful, however the older gentleman (didn't get his name) was horrible. my friend and I were golfing with our two girlfriends, who are beginners, and the old gentleman made them both feel very uncomfortable. He made a few comments about their butts even though what they were wearing was perfect golf attire. He made us feel very rushed even though the group behind us wasn't waiting on us once. he also had something smart to say every time we walked into the pro shop which made us feel very unwelcome, which is a shame because none of us will EVER go back to the course to play again simply because of this one older gentlemen that ruined our perfect day for golf. If you don't support old men making young woman feel uncomfortable and anxious for trying to learn how to play golf, I highly suggest going to ANY COURSE OTHER THAN THIS ONE.

Ate at the restaurant, didn't play golf. Menu has NO vegetarian options, let alone vegan options. Veggie burger contains cheese, so that's unfortunately not an option if you have dietary restrictions. Server was pleasant, friendly and prompt. And the beer was good.

I have been to at least 3 Christmas parties at Michaelbrook Ranch Golf Course, the latest one was last Saturday night and going this Saturday night for a different Christmas party, and I have always found the food to be good. The drinks are not over-priced at the bar. I guess there is a reason why, when it comes to planning our yearly Christmas and Michaelbrook's name comes up, nobody says anything negative about it (and we have gone back for our second year in a row). If you are looking for an elegant venue this is not it but if you are looking for a simple place, that is well decorated, and good food this is the place.

The course is in really good shape considering the weather. The proshop staff is great. The one male server who scolded our group of 17 for being too loud is a total joke. When there are only 20 people in your clubhouse and 17 are together after a tournament eating and drinking while not being unruly or obnoxious maybe you should consider your circumstances before approaching and making ridiculous comments. Our group was comprised of adult professionals and probably should have been treated as such, not like rowdy teenagers. I will be back to golf the course but will definitely think twice before eating here again. Upon second thought I won't be back.

Other than hole 9 from the front nine, it's pretty easy for a skilled golfer. No elevation and not many traps, so good to get off any rust. As a beginner, the course works for me. Grounds are better taken care of then the other executive course (Mission). Make sure you put on bug spray though during mosquito season and be careful of flying balls as some holes overlap each other. Overall, good value for your money. We did 9 holes for $26 and finished in about 2 hours.

I'm not the type to write reviews, especially when I receive bad service but I feel the need to share a disappointing experience at your course today. My son and I were looking forward to playing 9 holes of golf. Before our tee time, we were approached by the lady who was working behind the club house desk to say that we "had" to join up with another 2 some. When we stated that we didn't want to do this, we were told "you have to, we're very busy." When we tried to ask about the reasoning, this individual said, "If you don't want to join up with the other 2 some, then the only alternative would be a refund!" Again when we tried to get more information on alternatives, but this person quickly escalated and said "your only alternative is a refund and we don't even want you on our course!!" I was shocked by this attitude and the fact that all this drama was being played out in front of the many golfers waiting to tee off. We said we would take our refund and go elsewhere to which this person seemed to suddenly come up with an alternative solution so we could finally play just the two of us. I am so disappointed with how we were spoken to by this lady. Very rude and combative. We've been enjoying golf at your course for over 20 years, and in all that time we have never been treated so poorly or spoken to so rudely. I hope this isn't the new "normal" for your course as if it is, it sure isn't a way to grow your business.

Originally I left a review about a very negative experience with a Marshall that did not sit well with me. Very soon after I was contacted by the owner and we were able to rectify the situation with a real solution and now I can leave a review about how I feel about the course and be confident that the Marshall will not give other golfers hard times. The course is fantastic with how inviting it is to play with nice wide fairways and few places to lose your balls as a beginner. It makes you confident to try new things you have been working on and even a bad shot does not always leave you in a bad position. Michaelbrook has a good amount of diversity in its holes and just enough hazards to make you think about shots but not too many to make you always play safe. A walk-friendly course with minimal changes in elevation. If I had one critique it would be to maybe have a few more bunkers. Other than that the course has been amazing to play as I was trying to get back into golf this season.

Used to love this course. Always accommodated beginners. This time, from when I called to book till we were done, we got nothing but attitude from staff other than the cart girl who was awesome. I ended up not playing half the course because we felt so rushed. Marshal followed us around for multiple holes, which was making my fiancé (who is new and learning) nervous and slowing us down even more. Heard the marshal talking about us behind our back to another group. Embarrassing to say the least. Was suppose to be a relaxing Sunday, turned into the worst golf experience I have had in Kelowna in 18 years. We were going to all have lunch and rack up a bill but refused to give this place anymore money. The worst thing is my fiancé just bought new clubs and was really excited. If you are a beginner learning to play this is not the course for you.

Amazing time at Michaelbrook, course was in great shape, hot wings were AMAZING in the restaurant!!!! I can't give more than 3 stars because you charge for a pull cart, there are no other championship courses in Kelowna that charge for pull carts. Even your staff thought it was Ridiculous...$42 for a 18 holes in March plus another almost $100 in the clubhouse (my choice) $4 for a pull cart is stealing...I get needing to re coup from Covid, hence the $42 but cone on guys.....

Not a bad course for what it is... but no drinking water (with the exception of a single tap that you pass once very late in each nine. 7 and 17 I believe?) in 30+ heat...on a course that is clearly meant to be walked...is not only terrible service, but straight up dangerous.....EDIT: the owner responded offering I pay money for drinks. This is not the point. Every course I’ve played in the valley has free cold drinking water on at least 5 or so holes. Simply for safety. Originally I thought no water was just a mistake, but unfortunately it seems to be a dangerous scam to get people to spend money. I will now be playing Mission Creek when I need a quick par three fix.

Five of us had dinner at the restaurant last night. The food was delicious, portions huge, service was friendly and efficient. I have always loved the ambience there I'd suggest you bring back prime rib on the weekends. It was probably the best I've had, so a bit dissapointed it wasn't on the menu. However, we couldn't fault anything.

Went for lunch today with friends for our anniversary. As it is the end of the season and they are closing down soon they had 3 beers left on tap. We ordered a round and then we asked for another round and they had ran out of that beer. They had 3 beers on special- all in a can. We ordered that. Had the cans dropped in front of us not even opened. Felt like we were in our backyard not an actual restaurant. We ordered our meals. I asked for the bun toasted and had 1/2 fries 1/2 Caesar salad. Explained that I was picky and wanted the fries extra crispy and not to forget to toast the bun for the burger. She took everyone!s order without writing anything down. We asked her if she would remember the special requests- she said no problem. Lunch came. Everything was good except mine. The bun wasn’t toasted at all and the fries were mushy and lukewarm. Very disappointing. When she finally came over to see how things were, told her that the requests had not been done she said sorry and that was it. When the bill came there was nothing taken off no apology. Burger was good but ate it without the bun/ didn’t eat the fries and gave my salad away as too mushy for me. All in all lunch very disappointing.

The course opened early this year (2015) which was a nice surprise. BUT.. My friend and I were SHOCKED that no early season discount was being offered. I asked why that was and the lady at the till said "because the course is in EXCELLENT condition". GIVE ME A BREAK. A very greedy decision on their part, and because of that I will not be returning. tldr - > Full price in FEBUARY because of "excellent" condition. What a joke

I was with a group of 4 have been there over 12 times. This time was nothing picked up off ground. They pruned all their trees and left them everywhere. They were burning a wet pile of leaves filling the course with tonnes of smoke. When i called and said i was un happy let alone had to wash my car from all the ash as a result of their burn pile. I was told we are a business and its about the numbers. Lol i was rudely handled on the phone then belittled on their facebook page indirectly. Something like "if a few guests expect pristine conditions sorry but we are trying and it was too wet to pick up the sticks" also what do you want ? All condescending. But ok to charge full price for that and golfers to walk through? felt like i was golfing the set of apocalypse now. When i made a review on facebook they blocked me.lol if you are golfing in the Okanagan please dont waste your time there. Many many other great courses with customer service standards. In the effort to convey fact and be fair it was opening of season but these issues could have been handled with greater tact and diligence.

Avoid this course if you are a new to golf, as you will be shamed. With 2 beginners in our group we were told 10 minutes into our round by a marshal that we should "maybe play best ball." We did not pay $200 to play best ball. We were also told by a different marshal that we should "go to the driving range" instead of being at the course. We even let 3 groups play through as their parties were smaller than ours. What was meant to be a relaxing afternoon turned into a horrible experience due to mind-boggling unprofessionalism. I have been playing at this course for years, but will unfortunately not be returning.

Save your money. Current owners cranked up the green fees and have not improved the course. They are charging high season rates for winter playing conditions. Tee boxes are like a world war one battlefield. The only good thing is the restaurant staff. Hopefully the new owners will improve the course.

Great place to eat! They use fresh ingredients and the staff are friendly. We had the pizza the Hawaiian and the Italian stallion ... loved the fresh arugula on the Italian pizza. We would recommend this place,it is a 5 out of 5, can’t wait to visit again!

I,m not a avid golfer more as a wrap %$#@. So not shure if my comment is appropriate.....but this is more to do with the running of the restaurant..... Food is great ambience is great but I miss the days before the chef change 2 years ago when the appy's were great and happy hour specials actually existed. ( including appy's) use to frequent brookside 3 or 4 times a week but now 1 or twice a year just to check if they've wizened up lol.

Hidden gem in the mission. The clubhouse is fantastic with tasty reasonably priced food and drinks. The patio is awesome in warm months. They shorten hours and only take reservations in winter months. Came here with a big group event and they could accomodate a big private group well with some catering. Would definitely come back with any sized group.

First Michael Brooks Golf Club experience. Not recommended. Staff wouldn't let us go as a pair due to volume. Went with a group and then told we were too slow. Marshall allowed a couple to go ahead of us and then we had to wait for them on every hole. Staff not willing to make a positive experience nor provide problem resolution. Saying they can't make accomodations or help because owner lives on the property and will get upset and fire them. We weren't in a rush just wanted a nice experience but didn't feel the business cared whether or not we enjoyed our game.
