When we called to book, we asked if they had rentals. They said yes, apparently they only meant carts. I asked to rent clubs and was told very tersely that they are not renting clubs due to covid. I tried my best to swing the other way with my friends clubs before going back to the clubhouse. I took my sunglasses off, looked the manager in the eye and softly explained that I was unable to golf unless I could at least rent a driver and a couple irons. She went from 0-60 instantly. accusing me of asking her to break the law. I know that other courses are renting clubs and I also know for a fact that our government has not passed legislation on golf club rentals...... I never once raised my voice or said anything even passive aggressive but she started threatening to call the police and have me removed from the property. I spent the remainder of my day shocked at this encounter. If someone who owns a golf course can be this miserable. I have re-evaluated what it means to be successful

Courses wanted your money and treated players like a bother. Marshall told us to play ready golf when we were being held up by 4 some in front. Ridiculous. Owner in the clubhouse was annoyed and rude.

Owner is NOT Social Distancing! Got right in my husband’s face and was swearing and completely inappropriate all because our family of 5 had teed off as two groups and had caught up to each other by the 6th hole. There was literally no one behind us and we had two learners with our group. The owner’s behaviour was very unprofessional and threatening - so uncalled for when our family was just out having fun. We will not be back and will be reporting his behaviour to public health.

small 9 holes sometimes a bit challenging but I'm not a 1 handicap. the owners are amazing do a great job taking care of the course. love this course. prices are extremely reasonable. I wish I lived closer to play it more. not too crowded.

It's a nice course. Very flat most holes straightforward lots of room left and right. If your average player not a bad course. I did find the rates a little high $25 for 9 holes. Not very busy.

This is a great 9-hole course! Its is only recommended for a seasoned single or a pair of golfers. We went as a family of 4 and 2. We wanted our kids to golf with their grandparents. Unfortunately, we were approached by the course Marshall and told to speed up our game. He didn’t want us play every hole. He asked us to skip holes so we could finish up faster. There was not anyone behind us. Our kids have golfed at 7 courses over the past six years and we have never had an issue! After our game, we approached to him for recommendations on his preferred time for us to golf and this was met with accusations that it took us 3 hours to play. He didn’t have any suggestions for us to return. We didn’t start on time as we waited for our carts to be sanitized and were off the property in just over two hours of our arrival. This day was not the family memories we were hoping for!

Terrible experience. The marshall clearly did want us there since the moment we drove in. Searched all of our bags (didn’t find anything other than golf equipment and some waters). Then proceeded to follow us around the whole time for no apparent reason. At one point told us we were a hole and half behind schedule but we couldn’t see a single group within 3 holes of us. Afterwards was extremely rude and rushed us off the course/grounds. This course needs to either let this man go or explain to him that he wouldn’t have a job if it wasn’t for customers like us.

Went to play 9 hole with carts, before we started asked about food and if possible to call in an order than pick it up when we were close to the club house, and continue to play. Jen said that would be no problem, called in and ordered went to go pick it up, the owner her mother proceeded to tell me that wasn’t ok and I quote ‘do you even know how golf works’. I was so taken aback as I have played at many PGA courses across Canada. There was no one behind us, was not busy at all.... now I know why. O and my over priced onion rings.... I was given 8... Owners are terrible, greens are dry. I’m a local this is not how our community is!

As a summer guest at Pigeon Lake Resort for many years, I have had the chance to golf at Sheffield Greens a few times over the years, and it has always been a positive experience. This year was extra special though, because with Anne’s gracious permission, my 6 year old grandson got to “play golf” for the first time with me and his Dad! Thank you for the wonderful memories made and we’ll see you again next July!!! ????️‍♀️????️⛳️❤️

Played the course in August 2020. Brought up one set of clubs for the the four of us (didn’t have room in the car) and the Marshall told us we should have one set each to avoid holding people up. We were told to play 9 holes in 2 hours and we finished in 1 hour 45 minutes. We caught the people in front of us and the people behind us never caught up to us. Regardless, we were treated like we didn’t belong and they obviously want their course to be ‘locals only’. Will NOT play this course again. As I mentioned, we followed their rules and finished early but they didn’t seem to care. Will make sure the towns mayor knows our business isn’t wanted.

I had attended this course a couple weeks ago and had an absolutely terrible experience with everybody who worked there. The course itself was okay but needed a little more upkeep. The groundskeeper was very rude and his overbearing hostility had caused me to leave the property immediately after. I will never be going back here.

Great little course for a quick 9 hole round at the cottage. Functional would be a good word to explain it. It's not fancy but the price is right and the greens are decent.
