My husband & I recently celebrated 25 years marriage at Eganridge Resort and rented a 1 bedroom cottage (#4) for 3 nights. The room was very tired and we were required to leave a $150.00 damage deposit which in hind sight was unnecessary given the amount of damage already done to the cottage. It was clean but there were scratches all over the floor and names carved into the walls. Door knobs were missing and light bulbs were burned out. We did have a lovely front deck (that too needed repair) that faced Sturgeon Lake and the weather was warm enough to sit out there. The food was really really good but you had to buy the wine by the bottle to get a decent wine. The servers (we had Maren and Abigail) were really friendly and helpful. We golfed 2 out of 3 days and the course there is very playable and was in really good shape (especially since it was late September). We were unaware of the deal of unlimited golf that was included with a 3 night stay until we stumbled across it ourselves (I had in fact asked if there were any packages and was told no due to Covid). Overall we had a great getaway but it would have been nice if the resort had acknowledged our anniversary in some way given they knew that was the reason we were there. If they make improvements to their cottages I would certainly return without hesitation.

As a family we went out for dinner on August 9th and decided to go to Eganridge. We have dined there in the past as we own a waterfront property in the Bobcaygeon area so Edganridge is somewhat handy for us. We placed our order and when the drinks came, specifically water, wine and beer, the wine and beer was not chilled so they served us ice cubes on the side to chill our drinks; kind of waters down your wine and beer drinks but didn't complain. My son and I had the chicken which was tasty but the pasta was luke warm, but again we did not complain. The biggest problem was with my husband's meal which was eggplant and it was visually BURNT. My husband had taken one bite out of his food and wouldn't eat it. The solution to the problem, after my son and I had already eaten our meals was to make my husband another meal and/or he could take it home as a takeout. He didn't want to eat dinner now being we had already finished our main meal and he specifically came to have a meal out, not a takeout meal. He indicated he didn't want either now and to just credit the meal being he didn't eat it and was not satisfied with his meal. We were then told that their company policy is they do not credit any meals so we asked to speak to the Manager. The waitress indicated that she would get the manager and we were pretty sure he was on the premises but he did not surface. To make the point that this was not about the money nor the service, it was about the meal and the fact that they wanted to charge us for something we could not eat, I paid the bill and tipped the waitresses each for their service and commented that we would contact the Manager to voice our complaint about their company policy. On Monday, we contacted the Manager, Jason Friedmann, and he confirmed their policy that they do not provide a meal credit; they only recook the meal and/or one can take it home as a takeout. He confirmed that he would look into the matter further and that he would get back to us. There would have been nothing he could have done to appease us anyway but now it is the fact that he never got back to us as promised; not surprised though! Pretty disgusting when a business such as this does not get back to the consumer ... it's a statement that they really don't care! Don't bother calling me now because I too really don't care! We have shared our experience with neighbours, friends and family, and we are hearing they too have had similar experiences with the food quality, accommodations (which I have not) and lack of proper management. Prior to COVID, we dined at Eganridge, when Ralph was a server (very good server who is no longer there), celebrating family birthday celebrations to dining out with friends ... BUT NEVER AGAIN!! I wish I could give this place NEGATIVE STARS!! It was very outdated and DIRTY and the staff was RUDE. I would never go back and I would never recommend this place. It was expensive and not worth it. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED.

My husband brought me here to spend a few days for Christmas. He blest me with a spa massage, with manicure and pedicure. Jordan was great. Otherwise food and services are not as they were the last time we were here .

For the first time in years we decided to go out for Thanksgiving dinner. There were 5 adults in including myself. All I can say is that I would have rather stayed home & cooked. We are not difficult people to please but not one of us can say we had an enjoyable meal. It was almost as if they (eganridge) forgot that they were hosting dinner & threw it together at the last minute. Tasteless meal (turkey had no flavour, ham was fatty & no flavour, salmon was extra dry if not burnt) & even the desserts were to be desired. There was no meringue on the Lemon meringue pie, the apple pie was very undercooked. I do not usually put a price on a good meal however this was unacceptable. $50/pp plus drinks (pop) plus tip, plus taxes we were just shy of $80/pp Definitely will not be going back. The service was great but I would have been embarrassed to admit that I was their chef for that meal, we were very, very disappointed.

Service and staff were wonderful, view beautiful, food was minimal and way overpriced. Eaten much better for way less. New chef perhaps?

We had a very relaxing stay at Eganridge Resort and Spa. The view is absolutely beautiful and the breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be back!

Love the cabin. Staff good. Quiet and relaxing. Brought our medium sized dog as this is listed as a dog friendly resort. We always scoop but there are actually no waste bins in the resort. We walked the whole resort from lake and up and could only put into the garage bin on the tee off by the cabin. Maintenance guy complained to me this morning saying his guys put their hands into the waste bins. I explained that there are no bins on the resort so he said to just put the bag on the ground which I wud not feel right about. A few garbage bins on a pet friendly resort is necessary. Dinner was very good.

Had a wonderful lunch with great service and looking forward to returning ☺

Went to Eganride for lunch and golf afterwards. Food outside on the patio was good; wait staff was nice too. Golf started off well, but unfortunately we were given a car that died on the 9th hole when trying to make it up the last hill. We sent someone with our other cart to the front to get some help, but the guy at the front essentially said "Oh" and didn't help at all. It wasn't a huge deal since I could just carry my clubs back to the car, but it was definitely some bad customer service. Probably wouldn't return.

Great room. Nice staff.

Beautiful room with a nice view. We don't golf so it was a bit wasted on us. I was disappointed with my steak which was a bit charred and tough. Won't go back.

Ryan Waudby

Golf was very good. A nice 9 hole challenging layout. Cocktails and food were very Good!!

A great place to relax, food is delicious, the rooms are very clean. The most amazing thing about this place is the hospitaly and service. It's tremendous!

Lunch was delicious and our waitress Serena was great. We arrived by boat and unfortunately had a small window for lunch to ensure we got back through the locks to get home before last lockage. Even though she was very busy she let us know what could be made in our time constraint and she accommodated our requests. The view from the the outside patio is beautiful! We'll definitely be back... And give ourselves more time next time to even got a few balls first!

Great stay!

We won a night at Eganridge Inn at a local event, which included continental breakfast. We had a great room with a stunning view over Sturgeon Lake. Everything was top notch and the breakfast was beyond our expectations of a "continental breakfast". We topped off our stay with a round of golf on Eganridge's beautiful course. We absolutely recommend this wonderful resort to anyone seeking a place to relax and unwind.

We booked a cottage for Sept 24th to the 27th to attend a celebration of life in the area for a dear family member. This cottage was booked on July 17th. We had to cancel on Aug 11th due to my wife being unable to travel because of serious medical issues after being in the CCU for 6 days. Eganridge would not return our deposit even though we have been supporting their business for several years. Congrats Eganridge on losing a loyal customer for only $230.

Very disappointing. Service was decent but food was mediocre, even if it was less expensive. Very unfortunate for a place with a great view.

Fun little 9 hole track. Well maintained, and good value for your golfing dollar. Recommended.

My husband and I recently received a nights stay at Eganridge. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The rooms were beautiful and clean overlooking the lake(frozen now but still pretty) the room had a beautiful jacuzzi & even came with bath robes. We had dinner in the dining room and it was beautiful and delicious. Very quiet place which was nice. The staff is very friendly. The continental breakfast was also very nice. It was wonderful how we didn’t have to leave the resort the whole time we were there. Only thing that this place could use is a hot tub/sauna. Other then that beautiful place. Will stay again!
