Great golf layout but conditions lacked as course conditions soft for early August some greens where burnt out in some areas. Has great potential if conditions improve. Staff and light lunch was good.

I am a member of this golf course, because of the friendly staff, and the laid back relaxed atmosphere of the golf club. If you stay in the fairways, the dunes is great. If you don't...I hope you like non flat lies, they don't call this place the dunes for nothing. Their Platinum member card is probably the best deal for a membership in Kamloops right now. Recommended.

Well I had a unique experience here... The course was in great shape. There is value in your dollar at this place. And these folks went the extra mile when I left my drivers licence which was used for collateral for a pull cart. They mailed me my drivers licence back to Vancouver after I forgot it in the pro shop. And I only forgot my licence because the bar staff were so friendly and kept me around after the game for a few... I'll be coming back for more fun next time I'm in the loops.

Very hard to find as sign to turn is dark and set back. Hard to tell where the restaurant is located as none of the buildings are marked. My sandwich was in a bun so hard I could not bite through it or even stab it with a toothpick.( it was replaced). Had to ask for a refill of coffee at the register area. Also had to clear the table if dirty napkins by walking them to the register area asking where the garbage goes. Not impressed!!.

it was a long day in the sunshine, supporting a great cause - the ALS fundraising golf tournie. by the time we were done, we were done. Hungry, happy, tired. i feel that you can often gauge the quality of a service provider by hpw much you feel Valued as a customer. Even though the staff were Flat out dealing with or huge group, the wait staff found time to make sure we had all we needed. They went the extra mile for each of us. When our turned up super late due to work commitments, he was nourished with hot food at the tournament. Happiness Iz ... a team that goes the extra mile. i'll return a again and again to The Dunes and bring more people. The staff have great values and a great attitude. They also cook a mean a baked potato! A big shout out to the team also to Bill Bilton, the golf pro. He's just as much at home coaching the Canadian team as He isTeaching a novice Welsh golfer to make contact with the golf ball on a regular basis. He is patient, Kind, Fun.If only every coach had the Skill to bring a best out of any his students as much as Bill does. I'm very impressed with The Dunes, And would recommend The Dunes to others. Fun, walkable golf course that is pretty forgiving given how open it is. I've been here for a few golf tournament fundraisers, and they are always a blast! The course is always in great shape. Friendly staff.

This one worker in the bass pro shop is extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. while she was scolding us we tried to explain to her the scenario and she closed her eyes, shook her head not listening to what we had to say. This wasn't the first time she was rude,Our first visit she let out a huge sigh like we were inconveniencing her when we asked to rent some clubs. There is plenty more but all in all I will not be going back!

The Dunes was an amazing day. Tha course was in great shape and the greens were fast but not too fast. We were a bit early for our tee time but they let us out early. Would definitely go back next time we are in town!!

Came into town to play a few rounds and a tournament. I found the course to be challenging with many side hill etc lies that the dunes provide. The greens rolled true and were in quite good shape considering how early in the season it is.

Such a beautiful golf course but every time we come to play in the morning there is always the same gentleman working in the pro shop. His name is Ron and he is very unfriendly and condesending. He is rude when you call to book, rude when you walk in and rude when you are leaving. It makes it hard to want to come and play at the dunes. Golf is supposed to be a fun sport. You shouldn't feel like you are unwelcome and mistreated by staff.

Nice course and generally well maintained. However, they regularly overcrowd the course which can make for a very slow round. (Plan for 5-6hrs plus at a minimum) Also, don't expect much sympathy from the clubhouse staff as they can have an attitude at times and will always make excuses. All in all you will find there is much better overall value and experience found at numerous other courses in the area without the crowds or attitudes. Kamloops GC, Sunrivers, Eagle Point, Tobiano, Rivershore,.....just to name a few.

This review is for the restaurant only, I haven't had a chance to play the course. The breakfasts are excellent value, big portions at decent prices. I enjoy the Ham & Cheese Omlettes and the Eggs Benedict. They sometimes have Wednesday wing nights, really enjoy the sweet chilli and salt & pepper flavors.

Food is usually good, but the service is brutal. We keep going back because it's close to home, but the service is continually bad. Seems to be a high rotation of different servers..... unhappy work place maybe? The kitchen is terribly slow, we've had to walk out more than once and watched other tables do the same thing on more than one occasion.

We had gone to the Dunes for breakfast and had made reservations. Waited for the table. There were only two waitresses on and three behind the bar. In 15 minutes only half of the group received their drinks...they refused to let us have lunch menus... wanted to charge $14.00 for pancakes for two kids under 4. Finally we got up and left due to poor service (there was at least 2 other tables that did the same). Then to add insult to the whole thing my nephew was charged for three coffees and a tea that we never got! Very disappointed and wouldn't recommend going.
