You will be able to see the opinions of real people who know the services and products of Tourism Jasper (Golf) in the area of Jasper (Canada).
As of day this firm gets a rating of 4.6 stars over 5 and this rating has been based on 127 reviews.
As you can see it has an average rating is nearly the best one, and it is founded on a very large number of feddbacks, so we can think that the score is very accurate. If there are many people who bothered to value when they are pleased, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to give scores when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Golf is classified in the category of Visitor center.
We drove to Jasper to have a picnic in the park because it was so beautiful lol +3 ... best random idea ever :)
It looks very pretty outside
Working in the background trying to entice visitors to this wonderful town of Jasper, never too sure where they are focusing their efforts. Sure like Jasper the Bear getting around to promote events. Here is a photo attached at Marmot Basin Ski Hill.
It pales in comparison to Banff. However, it is one of places you must stop if you are out in the area. Banff, up hwy 93 to Jasper or the other way around.
Scenic. Must visit in lifetime
Free parking is rare & very welcomed nowadays..
Nice place to get some quick info about things to do in Jasper. There's also a curio shop adjacent to the info centre. It's located at the heart of the town with interesting things to see within walking distance.
Old guy was just tired of his job. Looks like some body dragged him to this and without paying any $s
Came here for information from the very knowledgeable and friendly staff. We weren't let down from the park staff.
Good place to stop over for bites & drinks. Quite touristy. Visited on Canada Day, very busy full of people. They had a parade celebration while we were there. It was packed, but the staffs there were quite helpful with park maps etc. Recommend.
Jasper is amazing, beautiful, wonderful for too many reasons to list. One of our favorite family getaways. So many things to do and places to visit. Thank you to all the people and shops and places for making our trips amazing everytime.
Wao wonderful❤️
They show us the best places to go.
I love Jasper but it was a gong show in the actual town of Jasper it was so overcrowded it would of been nice to see National Parks somewhat control the amount of people. We didnt even stay in Jasper town itself and it was stupid.
We arrived the night before and the Visitors Centre was closed. It's important you purchase a park visitors permit required for the number of days you visit which we did first thing the next morning. The staff were very friendly and helpful insofar as offering 'must see' locations.
Tourist office closed on a Sunday in tourist season. But you still want tourists to visit, right? And mailbox is full; unable to leave a message so unable to plan a trip. Wow, disappointed.
Jasper is great parks Canada employees are awful
Wonderful and knowledgeable staff! Thanks for the excellent info Fawn!
Extremely nice and helpful staff
Small but quiet and so many information stuff. You have to drop there.
Lovely and beautiful everywhere.
Beautiful place Jasper
Very friendly Very helpful Love it
Very informative staff, great souvenirs. :)
Best place i have ever been to for nature and beauty. A definite must see. My heart will forever be in Jasper.
Very good for advice and tourist material. The rangers are very helpful.
It had the information we needed plus a nice little gift shop
Baught National Park passes here, they gave us lots of information. Recommended.
Amazing place full of information, art gallery and tours to visit the glaciers.
Jasper was amazing, I regret not staying the night here. Definitely a fun low key spot especially at night on the weekends as well.
Must visit Alberta especially Banff and Jasper. Take a drive from Banff to Jasper Will feel and love the nature....
The national park guys are stationed here offering great advises. Jasper tourist advisers are also here as well. Skip the gift shop it is a bit disappointing. Bathroom is not in this building - got to go across the street by the railway.
We got a big enough unit but two double beds were put in a room only meant for one ...we booked ahead and room was not ready..,staff professiknal..other than that it was nice having the kitchen/living room
Not able to go inside????
Nice and clean place. Friendly staff with lots of information to share. Clean washrooms.
Helpful place to get a quick question answered.
Very knowledgeable and friendly staff as well as helpful and provided lots of information
Great help in providing info we needed. Super friendly staff and of course, lots of humour telling us about bear encounters???? A must stop if you plan on hiking anywhere in the mountains.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, can arrange some of the local tours and activities here, can get little crowded at times. The little store inside sales some Nicely Canadian made merchandise, whatever u buy supports the Canadian Park service.
Friendly staff offering service in french too! Not needed but appreciated. They are greatly located and it's the best place when you have a questions.
No one wearing face masks we didn't enter.
Totally worth it, stunning views
Great place. Lots of local information. Very helpful staff.
Got some terrific direction and suggestions from the staff here. Really helped us make the most of the three days we had to enjoy this spectacular town! This could be the most hiker friendly place in the Rockies!
Very helpful staffs DN great selection of maps and things to do. Defenitely recommend visiting this place if it's your first time I. Jasper or if you don't have an idea what do to here. Great service and helpful staffs!
Really busy on the hills...town was quiet
Amazing place to have lunch.
All the info you need, delightfully chatty and helpful.
Love this place. Must visit and you feel close to nature. It mesmerized with eternal nature. Wild and serene.
A great rest stop on the motorcycle
I remember the front lawn of this place being the resting spot for hundreds of backpackers back in the 70s and 80s in their tie dye, army surplus gear. Not so much anymore. Still a cool place to stop for some gifts, souvenirs, information.
Just breathtaking. Great souvenir shop across the street from the train station
Amazing place
Very friendly staff, really doing what visitors expect from them. Guidance according to your requirements (i.e. how much time you have and what do you want to do as far as the activities are concerned) and this place offers free WiFi, neat and clean restrooms, and free parking. A very first and a must visit place if you are visiting Jasper Park.
Jasper holds a near and dear place to our entire family. Camping is usually a yearly family trip to Whistler. My parents will pack up for a weekend and just camp there too on their own. We all have so many memories as kids and now making memories with my husband and son is always wonderful. So much to see and do!
$20 for the day with the family, $140 ayp for the family. Pet friendly at most location's! Bring a cooler and enjoy a day trip. Set aside 4 to 6 hours to enjoy up to 3 different location's from sightseeing and hiking or water rafting!
Definitely visit this place in case you are not sure where to start. Staff was very informative and professional.
Helpful to a certain degree. No pamphlets of any kind...Covid ????
Helpful and friendly staff that is knowledgeable. I went there twice to get advice on local hikes. I was given info on current state of trails as well as maps and tourist materials.
I have used this center twice, both times with good results. Bought a $10 day fishing license and also got some useful local knowledge about which lakes had room for shore fishing. Somehow here the employees seem to enjoy helping people visiting Jasper - it is not just a paycheck. Definitely worth a visit in Jasper.
Beautiful scenery. Pyramid lake 10 mins away from Jasper. Nice beaches, scenery.
Jasper is an awesome place to go if you want beautiful mountains scenery and you get to see wild animals on the way through the park.
Helpful staffwith lots of good ideas of this to do and see.
Very friendly people and always recommend some interesting activities. Thanks them we had a wonderful time in Jasper
The staff were very helpful and friendly
Cheap for family vacation and there are plenty of tourists spots, camping or hotels
There's a lot of employees ready to give you information about Jasper and the National Park as well as personal recommendations. I'd reccomend dropping in if you're visiting Jasper so that you can get some advice on how to make the most of your visit.
It was snowing when got here and checked road conditions. Got an up to date which assisted in us taking a longer but safer way around to Calgary.
Great honest advice. Made our stay worth while even with rain
Jasper by the busy train tracks. Loved the long freight trains that rumbled by and stopped at the junction and curve out of Jasper.
Good place, but we didn't find information we needed.
They really help you plan to fit your style. Very good recommendation.
Always very helpful. The staff are so friendly and ready to help and answer all sorts of questions.
I wanted everything in there lol including the t-shirts, of which there was a really high quality selection. Super friendly staff, told me if I saw anything I wanted after I returned home just up call them up and they would mail it. Lovely old period building. Super cute little birds nesting in the porch eaves, just chirping up a storm. Centrally located.
Beautiful place, very peaceful and the most breath taking views! I recommend heading to Fifth trail and walking these trails all around by Maligne Lake. Such beautiful surroundings and medium hiking level.
I learned soo much. People are soo helpful, and the gift shop has some pretty cool stuff.
OMG!
Beautiful scenery!! A must see!
Must visit place. Stunning views of mountains and lakes, and railways. Friends of Jasper NP has a comprehensive collection of books and nice jewellery by local artists.
Cute little place. Jasper is the main attraction however.
Amazing experience here, the people working at Parks Canada have a real passion for what they do and it shows, not only did they give us all kinds of information to make the best out of our days here but also found my wedding ring I lost and brought it to our location less than 30 minutes after we reported it!
If you are a smoker be prepared for long trip no smoking
Beautiful.
Lovely town ????
The tourist information in Jasper is helpful and all the things you will need to know about the area. They have maps and information about all the activities you can do and find places to go. The people are very helpful. the restrooms are across the highway to use and are free but are very busy. there's plenty of area around the outside of the building to enjoy picnics and just sitting out and enjoy the sun. stop by in the help you find the things that are going on locally today and maybe in the next few days.
A nice tourism center in the middle of a lovely city. Spending my time here for awhile, enjoying the surroundings, before continue my journey to the pyramid lake. Not as crowded as Banff, which is great for me.
Provided us with useful maps but weren't able to provide info and recommendations beyond the written material
The staff were very helpful, patient, and generous with maps and literature. Center has a lovely building in the center of the town, yet is accessible from the limited on-street parking or the small lots that line the main drag. The center's mission is not so much to orient you to Jasper (either the park or the town), but to answer your questions. That's an adjustment if you're used to US Parks, so don't expect a breathtaking film or lots of educational displays. Come educated and prepared to ask questions and you'll get all you need.
Lots of great information on the park and the various activities and options inside the park. Also has a nice little gift shop!
Excellent stop if you're new to Jasper and would like some free maps and brochures, or if you'd like to find a high quality souvenir or gift.
The docents there were very helpful. Gave us ideas of what we should definitely see for our short time there. Also recommended several good restaurants and the Bear paw bakery
Absolutely stunning location. I can't rate Jasper high enough.
Very informative, friendly and also can buy your park pass for the day.
Awesome views
Very helpful and friendly staff
Great field to play games in with our field trip class!
Sooooo....amazing ....except for the fact the snow canceled the fishing experience.
Really nice people. Directed us to all the well know spots as well as little gems for shopping. Recommended some good food places as well. Very welcoming.
Very helpful and always willing to take the time to give helpful tips.
Good place and advices. Clean toilets, a lot of brochures and maps. Helpful staff
It's a warm place, lot's of people from different parts of the world.
Very easy access and fairly accommodating staff. Be sure to ask a few people/locals about trails and such though, as a trail was recommended for us, and I only learned afterwards from the gift shop attendant that it was known to overrun with insects at this time of year.
Be prepared for change in weather!
Must go if you are in Calgary or Edmonton, around 4 hours drive from both point, however it take 6 hours to get there because you can not avoid the breath taking sceneries down the road and you definitely park the car on the designated areas to take pics. There are plenty of places for safe stopovers.
As you drive into town, it'll be on your right. Stop here to get your bearings and ask any questions you might have about activities, accommodations, hikes, etc.. The staff is always great and super knowledgeable. A great first stop in town to feel how laid back and friendly everyone is.
Friendly but useless in terms of telling people what to do about not letting the wildfires ruin your holiday. There are only so many waterfalls and narrow canyons one might want to visit
Absolutely loved Jasper! 10/10 would recommend visiting and spending the day!
The building is historical and so cool. The information desk has great people behind it with fantastic advice, tips and pointers. The little shop inside is not for profit so proceeds stay in the park. The prices are pretty and quality seams quite high. Also, a lot of the items seam to be hand made by local artists from around Alberta. Very cool!
Nice place. Great shopping, and info, but don't be in a hurry when you come because it's always busy.
Jasper was beautiful and everything we wanted was there.
Was far were I'm from but it was worth it for the stunning views
Friendly, knowledgable staff with free maps and good advice. Good place to stop to start off your visit and form plans. Free parking across street. Can be quite busy at times.
Amazing staff loved their passion and care for tourists/travellers
Super friendly and informative. It is worth stopping in even if you are a Jasper regular for updates on road, trail and wildlife changes. The gift shop has some interesting stuff as well.
Awesome town. Beautiful scenery and people. Shop cute, restaurants good, reasonable prices. Visitor center helpful .
Very helpful staff ready to answer your questions!
Helpful tips! Although I have visited Jasper several times, I always benefit from their knowledge of area.
Was able to pick up a park pass here and skip the long lines at the gates. Staff were very helpful and efficient, and had me in and out within 15 minutes, despite it being a pretty busy day!
Jasper is the Gemstone of the Natinal Park. Busy town but in the rare los seasin is so lovely to enjoy it
Nice weather; great people,
This is the information center not tourism center. The good map is wrong. Very knowledgeable staff.
How can you not love Jasper? Staff very helpful and lots of information. The Canadian Rockies are awe inspiring
Sky tramp, water rafting and so many amazing waterfalls
Great information ...a must stop to educate your self about the Rockies ...
Nice Place In Summer Time to Visit
Simple straight forward and free consultation on available activities within the park. A must stop for people new to the area.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Glad to know all the proceeds from the gift shop go into the park!
Fantastic place , heaven for tourists. Beautiful nature and wildlife.
If you are planning to discover Jasper, highly recommend vising them. They are very knowledgeable and will help you plan a itinerary that caters around your fitness level and interests.
Visited Loulous for some lunch and it was awesome! Highly recommended if you're stopping in town
Everyone was very friendly. I am sure they appreciate the business during the pandemic
Washroom signs were a decoy. They are over 100 yds away across the main Street and down the road. Nice facilities, if you can get there in time.
Has loads of information to assist tourists and travellers. Well organised. Free internet. Gift shop.
I loved the very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They gave us very clear. Directions and advice that ended up saving us a full day in the Rockies. Share your plans with them and they can guide you through your visit to Jasper.
Smitty for lunch. Reasonable fast service. Town is nice for a tourist town. Not too busy but enough to satisfy the shopper in your family
Best place in the Rockies
A wonderful experience
Beautiful city. As we entered the city we're happened on a heard of elk. We also found a few, must sees, from the map provided.
Nice little meeting area in the centre of the town of Jasper with maps and all the necessary tourist info and free wifi.
Jasper is a beautiful town in a gorgeous park! Highly recommend this for anyone's bucket list!
We visited Jasper many times. I love it's natural beauty and charisma.
Jasper blew up all my senses...I couldnt believe it is so beautiful. I just loved it. It's an absolute must visit. I would love to spend atleast 2 weeks in Jasper next time. The natural sceneries are beyond one's expectation...one of God's most beautiful creations. I was so mesmerized while driving from Banff to Jasper. I could not believe such a place would exist on earth.
Close as you can get without guided tour.
Jasper is the gate to the Canadian Rockies. It offers many stores and hotels
Good staff, went there on a special free coopan from my hotel party but they charge me money to stay which they said they would refund because its a free stay. They never did.Dishonest billing but nice hotel.
Amazing place, you'll want to visit. Nature at one of it's best.
Indigenous stories to enrich Canadian culture.
Brilliant, very friendly staff, all the info you could need. Also had tonnes of leaflets and brochures on nearby activities, as well as weather and wildlife reports. If you're looking for guidance or inspiration on what to do, definitely pay a visit.
Had a quick visit to pick up some information while visiting. The staff were friendly and helpful. They also have free wi-fi so I was able to look up directions on my phone. The lawn out front is nice to relax on and have a picnic.
Rocky Mountaineer, a Canadian rail-tour company that’s the proud owner of GoldLeaf Service, has added four new train carriages to its fleet with another three set to be added in 2020. The first four will be added to two popular routes: the two-day journey between Vancouver and Lake Louise or Banff and the two-day trip between Vancouver and Jasper.
Lots of information about the erea, very friendly and they did a great effort in getting us information about other parks as well.
This tourist stop is so busy it is unlike any other I've been to in Canada. It is shoulder to shoulder in the summer. The staff were very helpful and friendly though, however long their day had been.
Staff is nice and helpful, knowledgeable of park attractions and wildlife, and happy to help. Great selection of flyers and folders on things to do. They are supposed to have free WiFi but we could never connected due a high amount of simultaneous users.
Excellent information center with very friendly staff. They know their way around Jasper and the national park and can give you valuable information where to go and what to do. The information center also includes a small gift shop with high qualitative Canada gifts and provides free wifi.
Gorgeous
Great place to buy fishing licenses
Wintertime beautiful
Not a lot there however the girls were very informative and had a lot of recommendations as to where to visit and what to bring while we did. Any questions they did not have the answers to they were able to point us in the right direction to find them. Worth the stop if you are looking for new places to visit or new ideas on how to spend your time in Jasper.
The start of an amazing holiday.
Jasper, an alpine town in Canada’s Alberta province, is the commercial centre of Jasper National Park. Jasper are full of stunning natural scenery, beautiful lakes and kilometers of defined hiking and walking trails. One place might have more or less to offer a visitor depending on their taste, but they are both worth visiting. Generally 3 days to 4 days in Jasper National Park is a good start to see all the famous sights and experience the best hikes in the Canadian Rockies. We reserved a place for camp at Pocahontas campground. It is located on Highway 16, approximately 38 km northeast of Jasper, at the junction that provides access to Jasper National Park's Miette Hot Springs.
Love this place!
Great beautiful small town of Jasper, Alberta in the heart of Canadian Rockies.
The staff was very helpful suggesting the best places to visit during a very short stay.
It is great place to visit with family and friends
Beautiful and serene. Awesome views
Pretty attractive place
One of the best experiences in my life! Every single person must try this!
They were very helpful when my friend and I were looking for a day hike. They marked the map with closed locations and locations of interest! Great service
Wonderful in the winter
Animal jam, the better version of a traffic jam.
A small town but with many lovely shops and restaurants of good eat.
Great place with plenty of rangers and others to give advice. Also art and craft gifts made by local artists that are unique along with books and other tourist items about the area.
Very professional local. Nice coffee and tea . Strict internet use, enforced 30 minute limit. Also watch your food,as they will clean it up when u aren't watching. Good muffins. Kingston tourist .
Can't believe parking on street is free for 2 hours here. Clean air, clean washroom, clean water, all free here. Love the mountains, love the lakes and rivers, love the animals (bears, mooses and cows roaming alone side of roads), just love it.
Small store with a surprisingly great selection! Plus sales go to supporting the park directly. Staff was lovely, stop in and see for yourself!
Very helpful!
Information centre was very informative and provided a lot of information and great places to go in the area, was additionally very patient and easygoing.
Not open fully but staff were helpful.
Great place to visit, as the members of staff have great knowledge of what to do in the National Park. They will provide you with any necessary information you need, such as information on hiking trails. They are also up to date with the weather, so the people who work there can give you a good idea of what clothing to take with you when you are out.
Great
Lots beautiful place to visit. Very informative
Good place to visit if you come to Jasper for the first time, especially if not in the season. Polite staff is very informative. They quickly and pretty good explain you your options for sightseeing, hiking or other tourism. Employees also will give away maps with their own explanations. You can find a lot of free brochures and some advertising there too. They have nice gift shop on the site, where you can buy a lot of gifts and original souvenirs. No washroom there, it is across the road and they will show you.
Great to find what you're looking for and know there is a donation to maintaining the Park trails factored into every purchase.
Jasper has become very much like Banff. It's all about money it's way too commercialized. It's not near the beautiful place that it used to be
Great place, really useful information. Told me what roads were suitable for my car.
Better wifi than any other locations in Jasper area with quite helpful staff. But parking lot was small or hard to find and wish there were a bigger sign for the visitor centre and a bit bigger seating area.
Love the mountains? Jasper is a must but this trip was very busy and couldn't get a room so book before you go.
They were endlessly patient with my stepdad who needed more information about glaciers he had seen. Honestly i am very impressed with the professionalism and service ability. Keep up the good work.
Very helpful visitors center. Jasper was by far the most exciting national park i visited in Canada. The visitors center has great insight and maps.
Absolutely stunning!
If you need info for your trip in Jasper, this is the place to come! They have a gift shop and super helpful employees which have vast knowledge about every kind of hike, locations and activities within the park. It opens at 8AM I believe and runs until 5PM so make sure you come here with plenty of time to check it out. It is located in the small town of Jasper so you definitely have a lot of things to do while you are here. Also a side note is don't spend a night here or even fall asleep for like 5 minutes in the day time because they will give you a ticket if you are parked in the lot.
Very helpful information for things to do around the national park.
Great park to visit
Lots of informative staff. Lots of information. Great gift shop.
Friendly staff who know their stuff. The stuff they don't know, they are connected enough to refer you through to other staff who do specialise in the area. There's also a neat gift shop with some fab local crafts and the obligatory tourist tat for good measure.
Jasper is a beautiful place to visit. You must stay at least couple days to enjoy many of the attractions. However, I feel that many of the business owners dislike tourists (which is weird as they make a living from tourism). Many don't want to help when you ask them for directions and just plain snobbish. One shop keep flat out told us she doesn't speak English and continued to talk on the phone in English to someone.
One of our beautiful mountain parks
Great spot to get info and prep for a day in the mountains!
Very nice. Nature at it's peak. Lot's of activities. We enjoyed horse back riding. Downtown is good, just walk around.
I worked in JNP as a seasonal warden in the late 70's. It was nice to see many of the old stores and restaurants were still operating. It's like coming home.
Jasper is become our most favorite vacation ever???? It's beautiful, serene, mystic and all the wonderful at the same time???? You have to experience it to feel it☺️ please visit Jasper to have a life time experience????
I want to live in this place. Beautiful and breathe taking scenery.
Wildlife, trails for walking and cycling, beautiful scenery and an attractive village. We stayed four days!
Just fantastic. We last here a few years ago, few changes but still glorious.
Absolutely beautiful place couldn't ask for any better! Such a nice low key town to visit not crowded by big brand name places just locally owned stores with their own unique tastes.
Charming and cute little town you don't want to miss adding to your life story. Great for winding down and relaxing after the long drive. Spent a whole day just hanging out at the big central park with the family eating ice cream and taking a nap.
I love Jasper. It is my Happy Place.
Tourism Jasper office is located right opposite the Jasper Rail Station. We did the trip to Jasper by VIA Rail from Vancouver in July 2019. After arriving in Jasper and depositing our luggage in our hotel we first came here to get all the information of places to visit, best restaurants and shopping areas. The staff are very courteous and helpful.
Amazing place, hopefully I will return and spend more time exploring this town
We really enjoyed our visit and the services, shops and restaurants. The food tour we took was amazing
????
Have a blast every time we visit this wonderfully God's created place. It's always a great experience to see and be close to nature.
Really helpful and free wi-fi and free phone available!
Great place, great walks and the beer was fantastic.
Helpful staff, correct info provided, knowledgeable, you can buy the park pass from here if you missed it in entry point
Clean washrooms, beautiful building, knowledgable staff. The giftshop is run by friends of the park, so the proceeds help the park. Wheelchair friendly.
Beautiful scenery
We stopped into the info centre to check on road conditions South through the park, since it was snowing. They had up-to-date information on the roads which helped us decide whether to proceed. The info centre has wifi available, and several staff ready to answer questions. Parking can be challenging in the area, but we found a spot in a lot across the street.
Friendly staff that is well informed about local business to serve your needs and opportunities for entertainment of whatever your persuasion is; outdoors, museums, historic sites and many other venues.
Go there to find out all the options for things to see.
Beautiful placee love it
I only walked by today. Still a pretty building.
The majestic grandeur of snow-cover mountains, interesting people, a rich heritage, and passenger rail access were draws for a break with the train-loving grandson.
They had 2 booths set up in front of the entrance. Didn't have to go inside the building. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable! I definitely recommend visiting if you need information.
Excellent information on hiking and inexpensive hostel accomodstion for Miette area and Jasper ????
Friendly, helpful staff with lots of information about the area. A great place to buy some souvenirs and help out our National Park Service. If you need directions or anything about the area this is the place to go!
Amazing !!!
Pre booked tours well organised, adequate refreshments available in cafe although the restaurant was packed. Friendly staff. Gift shop pricey.
Nice center and good gift ship. All proceeds go to the park. Nice quality stuff, not junk.
Helpful staff ????
Its amazing
Knowledgeable staff who are willing to help you plan your full stay custom to your likes and abilities!
Very helpful and friendly
We visit this place every time we are in jasper. We love the books! The selection of local authors and interests is awesome
Excellent.
We were looking for local info. Got it.
Very helpful! For summer 2020 they have a booth set up outdoors on the steps so you don't have to go inside
Enjoyed walking through souvenir shop. Very helpful and friendly people. Helped us find what we needed. If you need help, stop and ask them.
Extremely helpful and kind
A lot of interesting information in a old probably historic house. Good place to start your visit in jasper
Very knowledgeable and extremely helpful.
This one star review is to draw attention to an issue with their backcountry reservation system. Many backcountry campsites in Jasper you need to reserve 6 months+ in advance, so naturally a lot of people's plans change in that time, and they can't show up. Since these are high-demand sites, the "right" thing to do is to cancel your reservation so that someone else can use it. Unfortunately, Parks Canada charges an $11 "cancellation fee" to cancel, in additional to forfeiting your "$12 reservation fee" (which is on top of the site fees). This fee is actually more than the $9.80 it costs for a single night booking, so in theory it would cost you more money to cancel a 1 night booking than to just not show up. This leads to a lot of people not being able to take trips that they would otherwise have the opportunity to. When I did Jasper's Skyline Trail on a Long Weekend, I was the ONLY person at one of the sites I stayed at, even though the site was booked out. I was annoyed that 7 other groups hadn't made cancellations to open the sites for others, but now I understand that it is a Parks Canada policy that is at least partially to blame. Considering that you lose your $12 "reservation fee" regardless, there is no need for an additional $11 cancellation fee. Another good policy change would be to have some sort of "check-in" system a week or a month in advance, because I bet some people just forget. So remember, if you can't get your back-country reservation, remember that it isn't necessarily high demand that is getting in the way - it may just be good old fashioned mismanagement.
The staff were helpful (visited twice). I did find that their information was more geared to summer. The winter and fringe season activities are not well documented or versed.
Excellent service.
Really helpful and knowledgable staff. You could tell they had experience doing the things they recommended. Gave me confidence that I would be spending my limited time there well.
Beautiful!! Worth the drive
Super helpful and informative stop in the heart of Jasper. We had trouble finding all the details about the dark sky festival events online, and gained clarification down at the tourist info desk. The website is still a great resource, but two separate visits lasting perhaps 2 min each provided information not found online about local conditions, activities, and landmarks.
I Took the train ???? across Canada Jasper was one of the places we stopped there's is one of highest mountain there in Jasper
The visit of many was very good. The town is very clean...love the flowers...
Stunning area. Jasper National Park was more than I expected.
A good escape to enjoy myself lol
Great am loving it. Am in Jasper now celebrating ???? my birthday ???? planing on relocating having lots of fun.
Kool place. Tax $$ well spent.
Jasper the hidden gem as Banff gets all the publicity. If you're willing to travel you're likely to see many elk and Moose. I thought it one of the many highlights of my week long vacation.
One of my favorite places! Love the town. Perfect size and nice people.
Quite the helpful place when you are visiting Jasper for the first time.
Super helpful and friendly staff. We have been regular visitors to Jasper so know the area relatively well but always get additional insight and information from the friendly staff.
Talk to people, in the know, about the hiking trails and then when you get all the info about that turn around and talk to the people who know all the restaurants, etc in Jasper. Got all the info I needed in a very short period of time.
Went shopping. Exciting shops. Many intriguing displays. Haven't been there in a while. Great day. Bus tour was better than fantastic. Luv Jasper. Thanks for a great visit.
Stunning sceneries...
I love Jasper. We did a day trip and it was awesome. Did the gondola, went on 2 hikes, and a whole bunch of other things and it was a cheap day. You could spend lots of money and do more, but I don't think you need to to have fun
Though Jasper is small town, but needs to stay there for more days.
Everything was awesome!! great people 10/10
Jasper is a very quiet and chill place. Not busy like Banff at all.

A place to go in order to have all necessary info regarding hikes in and around Jasper
The Parks Canada agent was knowledgeable and inquired into our interests and made exceptional suggestions - Mt. Edith Cavell and to hike only 1-2 hours along Indian Ridge to see the panoramic views (there was no need to hike the whole ridge).
Always worth the trip. Something to see in every season!
Bought lovely sweatshirt for my Grandson, he will love it.
Gorgeous little town.
Beautiful looking tour information centre. Everyone here is kind, they inform you well. The only downside is that the public washroom is actually across the street from this building.
A beautiful place and historic building. A lot of people there to help you with planning your visit to Jasper National Park.
Everything is closed. However the fee is not reduced. Not fair.
Beautiful. We purchased tickets for the adventure and missed the bus by 5 minutes. They said they could slot us in for 2 days later but we'll be back home then so that didn't work. We took the skywalk which is one activity of the two in the adventure. We left with 1/2 hour cushion time but there was road work being done. By the looks of it we were far from the only ones who were late, but policy is no refunds so suggest leaving an hour cushion or just driving yourself across the road to the toe and hiking up a little ways for the same awesome views with no extra cost. We would have done this if we had known before.
Nice peo People who will help you with any questions you have
I have Experienced that all clouds, mountain are closed to my eyes.....I feel like ... Nature is nurturing me.
Helpful staff with a decent knowlege of the area including conditions for hiking.
Unique and iconic building just across from the train station.
Great place great staff and great food. Highly recommended
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff to show you all the hot spots to see
Jasper is one of my favorite places. It's retained that small town feeling. The mountains around Jasper are stunning. Lots of great restaurants and bars to enjoy as well.
Very nice lots to see and do
Always been in love with jasper nature is nature it always deserv à 5 out of 5
I can never get enough of Jasper
Great place, very friendly staff with lots of knowledge at your fingertips.
Friendly, helpful. They have good merchandise as well. Every evening has free walking tour, you might need priority tickets, so ask inside. The reason I gave four starts, one staff pretended not to understand my English. I don’t know maybe she only speak French or because I am Asian???
Neat, enough space and beds to accommodate 3 adults and a child. Neat bathroom. But limited fare in vegetarian breakfast.
Beautiful Place. Visit again for sure.
We visited the Jasper Information center in February 2020. We had noticed a mining operation near Hinton (only 75 km from Jasper) and a covered conveyor type structure going overtop of Highway 16. We had asked the staff at the info center what was being mined and what the conveyor was for. The staff had no clue. I stated that it likely was coal mining and the covered conveyor was to haul the coal. Surprisingly the staff here thought coal mining was nonexistent in Canada! Wow! I had to tell them that coal is actively mined near Stony Plain. They assumed it was oil and gas. I stated that the top of a mountain is being excavated. Later, when I looked online, there is a large coal bed in the area that has several active coal mines. I am incredibly embarrassed for the Canadian government to have such ignorant people working in the information services center in one of our busiest national parks. Please educate your staff on all resources in the area, not just the wildlife and water.
Is very beautiful there will most definitely go back there very beautiful animals there as well
Not very helpful. Easier to get info on the net.
Good place for all your questions or concerns with the park, campgrounds, hikes, skiing conditions, attractions, etc. In English, and of course, in French. Many others languages can probably be worked out too. They do it all! Excellent staff!
Staff are friendly and helpful nothing to much bother
Everything is awesome except deposit:))
Very helpful, friendly and staying sharp and covid safe. Loved the help and maps, the wise words and helpful hints... thanks guys!!!
The center was fine, but downtown is just restraunts and gift shops. Would be nice if there was more about the area. Maybe a shuttle bus to local attractions like museums, art galleries or hands on experiences about the science of the area.
The gentleman on the desk was excellent. We got all our questions answered and a lot of very helpful explanations. We left there feeling like we were served well. We were very confident that we will be well prepared for our next trip to Jasper, which we hope will be this coming July.
It is awesome place as I heard of it We missed cruise boat at maligne lake because we have to leave for whistler on May 25 and cruise starts on May 25 But never mind next time I wouldn't miss it I loved this place including my stay at Jasper house bungalows, lakes, hot springs, National park etc Will come back again
You have to stop by and get your info here. The Friends of Jasper gift shop is here. They have a great selection of gifts and maps. And the money spent there helps out the park.
Beautiful heritage building
The lady helping us was fantastic and showed us some good things to do while in jasper
So much to see and do. It's Sep 9th and it's +21!
Very nice town despite major railroad, which isn't pretty, but historic. Shops offer good prices! Husband bought a great raincoat for $20 US currency. Great quality. A fair number of restaurants that have good ratings. We ate at L&W. I had Veal-delicious!
There is a intercept center in the building behind the visitor center. Kids enjoyed that more. Specially that sandbox with a projector and xbox kinect sensor. They also went for the show at 4:30pm on both afternoon.
Jasper is a beautiful little town, surrounded by majestic mountains. Make sure when booking a room/cabin they let you know if the T. V. 's work or not. Can get boring in your down time. Lots of hiking trails. Lots of souvenir shops.
Very helpful information amd brochures available for every activity or any kind of infor. They have a little gift shop inside it too.
Very nice
Asked about accessible friendly information. Was told there was nothing. In this day it is exceptionally disappointing.
Adventurous
Was here in Jasper for Canada Day. Really neat.
We were lucky enough to be spending 4 days in Jasper on a two week trip around the Rocky Mountains. As excited as we were about it we hadn't made any specific plans while we were here, so popped in here to get some information on what there was specifically to do. There were plenty of leaflets on local activities which we took full advantage of. We were also interested in some local hikes so asked the staff if they had any recommended ones. They supplied us with a map of all the popular hikes of all lengths and difficulty, which was just what we needed. We were also a little nervous about the dangers of wildlife and they were very helpful and clear on their advise, including areas closed off due to elk giving birth (we are from the UK so don't have to deal with this kind of wildlife often). Finally, the actual building itself is beautiful being the original from when the town was 1st established. The town is still not huge so you have a real sense of it being on the frontier.
Super friendly and helpful staff! Even with the crowds they made our family feel like we were important and took time to answer our questions!
Very helpful to the people that visit the park ???? and surrounding parks as well
Realized the only way to travel. Your own RV or camper. No staying cost, no eating out cost!!!
Lots of maps and lots of flyer's. Clean bathroom
The guides were very helpful to us. Spent lots of time describing the hiking routes to us and recommended the best suited for our group. They are doing a great job there.
Very good tourist information also good place to get excellent washroom. One can purchase yearly National park pass too.
A very beautiful place the town takes you back in time.and the best of all the mountains that surround the town breathtaking.
Best info center staff ever! So helpful and I left with ALL my questions answered. Even if you don't have a question I suggest stopping in, they'll probably enlighten you with an answer to the question you didn't know to ask!
I'll surely be back.
