Paid 75$ for a round and had the marshall rushing us through the round which was very annoying. He told our group to play best ball to speed it up, and he told the group behind us to move up to a closer tee block as well which was ridiculous. The marshall then followed us through our round to watch us as if it would speed us up, but in reality its just distracting and would slow us down if anything. Will not be returning to this place, there are way better courses around that are cheaper. We pay good money to play golf and to be hassled consistently like that is just not right.

I have been to Guelph Lakes Golf Club many times but I now feel compelled to express my complete satisfaction with the course, the staff, the owner(s). Positivity must speak. Especially these days. It is a challenging, beautiful, and lush course. Over the fall, I have had the pleasure of attending the course a bit more and with the company of my nine year old daughter. We keep pace, of course, and we have had the most beautiful time. The owner or manager and all staff treat her like a queen. I just want to express my thanks.

Lots of great holes, fantastic staff, reasonable prices and frustrating hazards that my ball seems to like along with some holes that keep you coming back.

Guelph Lakes is a must play. The course has lots of ups and downs over a beautiful rolling terrain and the greens are true, fast, and wicked depending on the pin placement. A highly recommended track.

yup, as other reviews say…friendly staff. first time playing and wasn’t disappointed. Lot of blind holes, worse if you never played there before. We walked the course, but mostly won’t again... if its a hot day. Many ups and downs to this layout. Almost an hour drive for me but worth it.

First time playing here today managed to get 27 holes in. Great course, very well maintained the only issue was maybe some weeds on the fringe. Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They gave us a thorough explanation of the course which was helpful as a first timer. I would highly recommend

What a fantastic course. I had no idea that this course would be that nice!! Rolling hills made for an interesting course. It is walkable but I'm glad my son and I took a cart as it was very hot today. Out of 18 holes, 12 were absolutely beautiful!! My favourite holes were the 3rd, 6th, 14th and 16th. Although I also enjoyed the 1st, 10th and 12th. It has been very dry for the last month but the course was well watered on the greens and fairways. I will play again for sure. Thank you for a wonderful memory!

Played here for the first time this past weekend. Fought traffic to get here from Toronto, and missed our tee time, but the staff were incredibly accommodating, and were able to fit us back into the tee schedule. The course is challenging, and utilizes a driver off of most tees. Pace of play was excellent, and they seem to have the tee times spaced appropriately. Not once did I feel our group was being pushed, or were we waiting for the group ahead to clear. Overall an excellent course in the Guelph area, and one I would happily go to again.

Great condition, playable shots on a lot of the holes if you spray the ball off the tee. Good value for the green fee 1 hour from Allen Rd./ 401 . Never had a slow round here

Very nice golf course, but the demand for fast play ruined our day. The Marshall's were out in full force, guiding us through our round of golf. We saw them no less than 4 times, at first saying we were "keeping pace". As time progressed we were "lagging behind" followed by "you need to pick up the pace" Needless to say this spoiled our day and made us more nervous, knowing that we were being constantly watched. I know we are not the only people on the course and yes we have to be fair to others that play faster, but why does the golf course have to book groups so close together? Bottom line, if you are new to golf, don't play here.

Course in excellent condition very well maintained. We played the front nine in 2 hrs and 10 minutes. I found it disturbing that I paid good money to be verbally harassed by the Marshall berating us for holding up play. No groups were coming up on us and there appeared to be no hold up. He did not just ask us to speed us up he was verbally aggressive and very unprofessional. Bob McCabe
