I had my wedding here in August 2019 and we were so happy with it. I got endless compliments from my guests about how good the food was, how they were happy that the chicken and beef wasn't dry. I was so happy that they had good vegetarian options (I'm a vegetarian) and the dessert was absolutely fantastic. I was also very happy with the staff and how beautiful the venue is overall. It's the perfect wedding place and I am so happy I chose it.

I don't play golf, so I cannot say much about the golf course itself. It certainly is in a very nice area, a natural reserve in the bend of the Grand River. They also host events like weddings in the golf course, so it must be nice inside too. There is a trail along the river which is very nice for biking, hiking, jogging and roller skating. This trail is open to the public unlike the trails that lead to the specific parts of the golf course. It's actually easy to miss the trail and end up on private property. Once we tried to get access to the river somewhere and ended up crossing the property of the golf course. Someone has shown up within seconds to turn us back. The area is also has nice spots for fishing, although I haven't caught anything there. If you go along the trail, you'll see some nice "castles" along the river (on the other side) and at the end of the trail. Parking is plenty. There is Rim park nearby with some indoor ice skating, indoor soccer and basketball fields and there are some outdoor soccer fields as well. There is also a nice playground for children between those soccer fields.

My friend decided to stop at 9 and walk back to the clubhouse. It took him 27 mins to get back and that gave me great joy. Also, I think there was a bobcat chasing prey near the tee blocks on 11. I still stuck the tee shot on the green but that's probably because the tee boxes are the most lush and even I've ever seen. If I didn't just buy new shoes I would have teed off barefoot.

Stunning course, and meticulously maintained. We played 9 holes starting at 5:30pm. Even with sunglasses, on a clear day the light conditions make play quite difficult, especially because many of the holes are facing the setting sun. My only suggestions would be: 1) rent a cart. There are some very long walks between holes! Especially from the Halfway house back to the parking lot. 2) on a few occasions it was difficult to know where the next hole was especially if you are new to the course. All in all, I can't wait to golf all 18 holes (and earlier in the day ;) Give it a shot, you won't be disappointed!!

I had lunch at the Grill Room and the food was very good. The fries are some of the best and the Thai chicken wrap is excellent. Lots of outdoor space Not sure how the course plays but I use the Walter Bean trail here a lot and the golfers are friendly.

Came here recently for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Very nice mature golf course with lots of challenges. Reminds me of some links courses back home in Ireland. Very much enjoyed playing here and will definitely be back again. Recommend coming here. Bring your comfort shoes as if you’re walking, you’ll be walking it’s good and long.

It was a pleasant experience, I enjoyed our Staff Christmas Party very much. The food was disappointing, good thing I ate when I got home. The facility itself is nice, updated and spacious. Washrooms were kept clean and the bartender was so sweet.

Played Grey Silo yesterday (September 5th) and it is in great shape as always. Plenty of rain lately has kept the course green, fairways soft, and rough is lush. Greens are rolling true but aren’t so firm that approach shots are bounding off. Pace of play is best in the morning. Staff are outstanding and friendly. One of my favourite golf courses in the area every year.

This course seems to be managed very well this year. Proshop staff was awesome. Welcoming and funny. Went out of their way to get us coffee and brought beer out to our group after 11 (as requested). They also gave us a complimentary yardage book! Music on the patio was a nice touch and food was tasty.

Overall its a very nice course. Quite open with lots of room for mistakes. But nice and long course. Course was in great shape. This was the first time playing this course so i was taken aback with the public jogging chatting and laughing on the paths as you play (not that i need peace and quiet), but just not used to it. Also sharing the cart path was a challenge today, some folks felt the golf cart needs to move for joggers. Marshall was fantastic and really on top of groups that were slow. one item that I would like to see changed is that walking pair should not be playing with cart pair.. its a long course for guys in carts to wait.

If negative stars were a possibility I'd put that but in this case, one star will have to do. I show up to play with my mom with my sister and girlfriend riding along on a Sunday afternoon at 4:50, had already paid for two carts and 9 holes. Only to my delight the junior club championship is taking place and of course they couldn't use their ancient minds to put all of the juniors together. Wouldn't that be more competitive? Instead, we are forced to play with two arrogant kids that we had no interest in playing with. I told the starter it was a family thing to come out and play 9 holes and get dinner but he was forcing us two play with two others. At this point I had enough and took my rain check and ran away. Overall bad experience with a starter who had no idea what he was doing. The guys in the pro shop are nice but that's about it. Always something wrong with this course, they think it's good because the LPGA played there but it's really nothing special. DO NOT COME HERE!! Save your time and money and go to Conestoga or innerkip as their starters and staff are much more friendly. Bless up.

Undoubtedly the best public course in Kitchener Waterloo area, large distances between each holes(challenging for walkers), great for conversation and privacy, atmosphere is the relaxation you could only find in the nature. Tee, fairway and greens are in fantastic shape, not only that, rough is also evenly trimmed. Stuffs are professional and friendly, everything is the closest to perfect.

This course is one of my favorite! You will not be disappointed. It is very challenging add I want real treat to be able to go off within a Carolinian forest setting. Wonderful walking, bicycling, rollerblading trails. With the coming fall autumn colours in the migratory birds add that much more to enjoying your game. Golf Norris has provided us with a wonderful recreational area for all to enjoy.

Enjoyable day out. I'm not a golfer but I thought the course was very nice. A number of times I saw deer wandering the course. I played in a customer tournament and was impressed at how the holes were layed out. Not once did I hear any one having to yell "fore" A bit difficult for a beginner golfer, as there were a lot of hazards. But over all I thought the course was in nice shape and it made for an enjoyable afternoon.

Very unorganized from the time of arrival. No carts available even though everyone waiting booked one which pushed everyone's tee time back 25 mins. The guy calling times and sending everyone out couldn't keep track of his list and was calling times he already sent. My cart died on 6. If you can imagine putting on broccoli that's what the greens were like. But hey.. at least it wasn't cheap either.... Won't be coming back.

Very nice course. I walked 18 holes. Fairly flat course but It’s tough to walk as there is a large gap between clubhouse and course. Also a large gap between 1st and 2nd holes as well as 17th and 18th. Green were in good shape. My 2 favourite holes were the par 5 fourth hole a dogleg left with water on the left. I really enjoyed the 7th hole, a short par 4 with water on both sides of the fairway. See my pics.

Went there today and had a father and his two kids playing. Had to wait almost ten minutes on every shot. He was trying to teach and kid playing 2 shots. Told the Marshall and nothing happened. Absolutely rediculous. We golf there usually twice a week. Now it may be once in a year. I paid for full round and played only 7 holes. Way too slow.

Played Sunday September 6, 2020. Paid $95 with a cart and course was in terrible condition. Every green has large cracked dead spots that are unputtable in places. Very bumpy slow greeens, as far from a true roll as you could imagine. Fairways, aprons and tee decks all in poor condition. Not at all what you would expect from.a $95 course. Save your money go elsewhere. Golf north has ruined yet another kw golf course.

Beautiful course! The course is well maintained and quite challenging. There are a number of holes with trees and vegetation in the way. Accuracy will be key on this course! I think I brought my driver out max 4 times here. The course is also quite long so buy a cart (not sure if walking is even an option). Enjoy!

Beautiful course with nice, fast greens. A local favourite and the nicest of the Golf North courses. Marshalls are strict but keep up pace of play nicely. The walk up from 9/18 take about 5-10 minutes uphill though so don't recommend for evening golf.

Nice course, very long. Difficulty is high for an average golfer. It's not very forgiving if you're not playing on the fairways. There is a lot of naturalization area making difficult to retrieve balls.
