well organized store. have good item displays. the isles are well spaced and there are many staff available in each department when needed assistance or guidance. the whole store is in well layed out plan making shopping very convenient. whenever there is a chance for me to visit flinflon canadian tire, i make it a point to swing by, as there are many things you will not realize is available until you see them in the store. it helps to buy when you have a visual idea, and this store delivers that.

These guys saved my butt. This location did not have what I needed to make an inverter they had in stock work for my application so Matt and Bob were able to modify existing jumper cables to work with the inverter for my application. These guys saved my he day. Props to northern ingenuity. I would not have been able to make this work otherwise. And Canadian Tire, if you read this, your staff are what makes your mark in the community, not fancy marketing. These guys deserve recognition.

Have to travel 140 km to the nearest store in Flin. And what? Unfortunately, I had the experience of dealing with Terry at the auto center twice so I can tell you with experience that this is the place you have to avoid at all costs. Terry believes in taking advantage of the people who are stuck rather than helping them out. Below are how my two visits went while was visiting Gaspe 1200kms away from my home in Ottawa: 1st visit - December 17, 2019 I got a flat tire and I bring it to the auto center and asked if it will be covered under warranty as my tires were within 5 years. Terry looks at the tire and said no it won't be as the thread is too low. Fair enough I brought my car in and asked if he could look at the threads of other tires if they were fine. All the other three tires were between 4 and 6 points and he confirmed they were fine. He said if something has to happen to other tires he will prorate it and replace it. I was going to change only the bad the tire but he insisted that I should buy two tires instead. I said okay and got the two new rear tires out of pocket. I asked them to swap a spare tire as well and for this change they charged me $15 (more on this later). 2nd visit - December 19, 2019 Unfortunately, this time I hit a very big pot hole and busted the sidewalls of my front right and rear right tire. I call CAA and bring the car in to Canadian Tire auto center. Terry confirms that he will cover the rear tires under warranty as we just changed it. But here's the catch we don't have more of the tire in stock so you would have to pay the difference of one tire up. The difference was about $100 more for two tires plus I had to pay for balancing again. I asked can you order me more of the same. He goes yea I can but they won't be here before two weeks and I know you are visiting only for a few days. This is your only option and the store is closing in an hour so you have to make the decision right now. Also, he did not changed the front tire under warranty which he had confirmed on my first visit that will be prorated if something has to happen to it. I said okay please change it and could you please swap the spare again. He said sure it will be $20. I'm like what!, you charged me $15 the other day, he fumbled and said oh I did you a favor the other day and we usually charge $20. At this point, I said whatever just change it. This is my second visit to Gaspe and this was my only bad experience that I can think of. It was painful to see that at a reputed place like Canadian Tire, I get to experience such behaviour. Please avoid this auto center and find some local garage instead when you are in Gaspe.

I am from Alberta in Snow Lake on Holidays and attended the Flin Flon Location to purchase a pressure washer that was in the flyer for $399 (of which the store said it had 2 in stock and 2 were showing in stock on line). It was a 2.5 hour drive to get to the Flin Flon store over some pretty crappy roads only to find out that the store didn’t have stock as they were misplaced or possibly stolen ? After 40 minutes of looking, I was told by the Assistant Manager that there was none in stock and there was nothing they could do to help the situation. They could sell me another one that was on sale for $100 more without any additional discount.... I asked if there was anything they could do to better the price a little as I really wanted the other one... and was told “NO” and that was final. After committing to a 5 hour road trip to get a Father’s Day Gift... I did not intend to return empty handed and ended up purchasing a better one at WalMart for $389... The Management team at this store could learn a lesson or two from the previous Management or others successful stores - Customer Service is where it counts ! On a good note.... Customer Service Representative Sébastien at the of the Automobile Department is really a great guy. I do not speak French, he translated everything for me patiently. I got a flat tire during my road trip from Ontario, and there is no exact size match available in Gaspe. He consulted with the senior service representative, called the tire company requesting for delivery (it is thanksgiving long weekend so need at least 5 days), and even spoke to my mechanics on the phone. I need to let you know about Rachelle who is the manager at Canadian Tire. I’m from Winnipeg and the Canadian Tire in Flin Flon was the only store who had in stock what I was looking for. 5 kayaks! I asked to speak with the manager and Rachelle answered my call. Customer service is so lacking these days but not if you are talking with Rachelle!
