We offer you all the information of real people like you who bought the products of Tam O'Shanter Golf Course (Golf) in the territory of Etobicoke (Canada).
At the present the business gets a score of 4.1 stars over 5 and that rating is based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that its rating is very positive, and it's founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can conclude that the score is quite credible. If there are many people who bothered to value when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to set tatings when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Golf is included in the category of Golf course.
Fun golf course in the middle of the city. Although we were rained out for a few hours with a thunderstorm, the course conditions were great. WOuld like to return sometime in the near future.
2017 and still no online bookings? Horrible and weak website. Invest and evolve with trend and technology guys.
Nice area for a walk around during winter, no golfing was taking place as expected with snow laying thick on the ground. Spent a good hour walking about, saw a few other people on winter walks as well and also noticed Ski(?) Tracks
Great staff and good course to play
Second best municipal course in Toronto
Beautiful grounds
Course in fantastic shape. A GEM.....
A good Par 72 course. Its scenic and well maintained. We did not take a cart as other reviews said its easily walkable, but found walking while carrying the bag quite tiring. Though not very hilly, it is a long course and I would definitely recommend a cart on a hot summer day.
Play there every week it's close by and. You don't have to drive for hours to play
Nice course in the middle of a beautiful residential neighborhood. Good mix of holes, lots of trees, sand and a little water. Watch out for the geese!!!
Beautiful. A lot of birds in the summer.
The course is not perfect but I had my most enjoyable round of golf of the year here. Staff friendly and the pace of the play was great.
Course was really in bad shape . Fairways were dry. Not worth it for $63 walking rate
Decent city owned course. Expensive, but if you want to play locally in Toronto without having to drive far, it does the job. Although Don Valley G.C. is the BEST course run by the City of Toronto....(But you pay a premium)
Was a great location for winter snowshoeing. Active TO has mapped out a route around the course you can flow or simply create your own. The only thing they ask is that you stay off the greens and of course stay off any water features.
Excellent course in the city/suburbs
Reasonable price and the greens are in very good condition. The course is quite easy with some difficult holes.
Great city course. More interesting from the blue tees.
Great course on Eastside of Toronto. Great to play after work due to ideal location.
I would rate this in-City, public course the best the city of Toronto has to offer!
Course is extremely well maintained considering it's public, and offers great value. Convenient to access, good variety of holes. It's definitely an easier track to play. Always enjoyed my rounds here.
Well maintained, decent price and location makes this a course worth checking out
The Course Marshall is very aggressive, makes for a terrible experience.
Great course and relatively inexpensive
Good course
$70 for a very basic and not well maintained course. They require a $500 deposit for power cart rental. Not a good experience will not be going back.
Close and fun city course, we'll kept and very busy
The course is maintained and has some challenging holes. Great value for seniors through the week. Recommend you avoid early mornings as the check-in and pay process very, very slow. I was in line for almost 20 minutes and the starter for the 18 holes kept trying to push players ahead that had the same time as me on the back 9. Definite room for improvement, they should look at the operating model being used by other municipal courses: Humber Valley and Don Valley have amazing staff.
Great muni. Easily walkable and always in pretty good shape.
Good course, reasonable price
Great course in the middle of Scarborough. Very organized and well taken care of.
Sadly there aren't many public golf courses in the city of Toronto anymore, and this is one of the few municipal ones. Don't come expecting any kind of golf club experience, but even for a municipal course the service at the club house is extremely slow and antiquated. Even for your cart rental be prepared to have an old fashioned carbon paper copy credit card swipe for a deposit. Also if you're a single player using a cart you're going to have to pay for a full cart rental the same as for two players. The course itself was in pretty good condition considering how dry this summer was. It's not the toughest course in the world but there are some interesting holes. Hole 1 starts you off having to hit across a bit of water, and hole 9 is a blind shot over a hill into a valley. So if you want to golf a full 18 and be accessible by TTC this is the only choice in the east end. There is Don Valley right near York Mills subway as well.
Good city course. Resonibly priced. some parts can be water logged
A good size golf course. Limited parking.
Pros: 1) Great location 2) Course in respectable shape. 3) Nice layout with good mix of par 3s, 4s and 5s making for a par 72. 4) Greens are dart boards. You can go low here Cons: 1) Over-priced green fees. For a PUBLIC course, green fees should be very low, showing inclusiveness for the game. (Applies to all C of T P&R courses) 2) Slow play. I understand, golf is a hard game. Here's a free lesson (50$/hr retail value): hit down on the ball. Ball, THEN turf. 3) There's a "last shot" rule (even if you are walking the course). For example, You are NOT allowed to keeping golfing after 6:52PM, and 25 seconds, and 44 milliseconds. And they will remind you about this at least 5 times throughout your round. Even if there's 30 minutes of "golf-able" daylight left. (Applies to all C of T P&R courses) 4) I'm just curious how many errant tee shots have gone through windshields on Kennedy Rd. off of #13 and #14. It's not hard to accidentally snap hook/double-cross a drive/iron over the trees. 5) The left-turn into the course parking lot from SB Birchmount is awkward.
the golf hit my car!!!
Great 'bang for the buck'
Okay, so I shot 40 on the back 9 so maybe I'm biased but this is a nice course really close to a ton of people and at a decent rate. There are hazards and obstacles to make you think twice about just pulling out the driver and cutting loose (although the 18th hole rewards those who can do that).
Pretty course. Very friendly staff!
So nice and very quiet place also nobody didn't push me to quick playing.
What a day..First of all it has been raining off and on all summer long and this place is brown grass everywhere. Confusing. Secondly, I attempted to greet the owner who was playing behind my group and he gave a smug look. Grow up and be professional. Disaster
Great city course.

Find it hard to believe noone else mentioned they make you pre-authorize $500 on your credit card to ride a cart. With my foursome thats $2000. They didn't even notify me of that, they just turned the machine toward me with a $500 balance and then said every city course does the same thing(a lie), heard others complaining about it on our way out. The golf course however is in great shape and if you live east of high park I would pick it for a twilight round over any other city course minus Lakeview.
I like the layout of the course. It is usually in pretty good shape for a city course, and for the dry summer we've had this year. It can get slow depending on the time of day. Avoid weekend afternoons if you're looking for a quick round.
The course was amazing and the guy at the clubhouse was so helpful!!! Easily one of the better courses I've been to
Nice track.
Fun course, but avoid during fall leaves time unless you enjoy losing balla
Nice course, similar to Humber Valley but par 72. Flat and walkable with a good mix for all skill levels. Like all city courses you will be sent out in 4 some and matched up. Players of all skill levels are also welcome. Just don't expect to go out in a pair unless it's slow, which is rare.
One of the best public golf courses in Toronto. Very impressed with the quality and condition of the fairways and greens. Very walkable and recommend skipping the golf cart to get your steps in.
Great course
Pretty good
Played 9 holes after work and had a great time at this course. Well kept with challenging holes. Putting and chipping greens right by the clubhouse. Power/push carts available. The pro shop is efficient and staff were friendly. Can’t wait to play a full 18 here.
Solid layout and in very good condition.
The course: is in good shape, greens are reasonably well maintained for a city course. Pace of play: Slow, as you would expect. Many times I wish a Marshall would ask groups that are behind by an entire hole to pick it up. Overall, yes it is a bit expensive for what you get however the proximity to the city allows them to charge it. You can drive further to golf or golf here.

Just the right level of challenge for a 64 year old...
The course itself is considerably pleasant. It's challenging enough to keep low handicappers significantly engaged, while possessing a certain simplicity, that when combined with the courses relatively short play can allow for the average Joe to post a low number on the right day. I truly cannot find a negative thought with regards to the course itself, it is a well kept, delightful little piece of land in the heart of a wonderful city. However, the staff are by far the most impolite, blunt and boorish group of individuals to ever be affiliated with such an elegant and merry game. I've played north of 10 rounds at the course and not one has gone by without a genuinely atrocious interaction with a staff member. Staff can go a long way in making the overall golf experience better, and I hope this finds the right eyes so that a bit of progress can be made towards making Tam not just a stellar golf course but an overall good time. @tamstaff Do better please.
Perfect public course
Nice city course, good conditions.
Nice enough course for the cost. One serious problem. The yardages on the course are way off. Playing a course for the first time is really difficult if you rely on the 100 and 150 markers and they are not right. I was over the green often because of this.
Worst golf course I have ever been to. Horribly run, ridiculously rude marshals and a super slow play.Went out with a friend who is new to golf as a twosome and had to wait on every tee-block to shoot (which we were not mad about) and somehow got yelled at for being slow...AS A TWOSOME. The marshal threw his ball off the 9th green and told us to never come back, assistant manager did not apologize for the behavior and did nothing to make anyone happy. Do not golf here.
Went here for the first time on Sunday. We got nine holes in before the huge thunderstorm hit. They were great at rounding everyone up and either offered the chance to wait it out, or a voucher for future play. We stuck around as we wanted to keep playing. Waited about 30 minutes and were back out on the course. The course itself is a lot of fun and very picturesque. Staff were fantastic, very helpful and the drink cart lady was amazing. Will definitely return. The one thing I'd say is, for a public course, the green fees seem a little too high.
(Translated) Green is fine (Original) 그린이 괜찮아요
Solid golf course in the city. Not a championship course but a great option if you want to play a decent round without having to drive a long ways.
Nice city course.
(Translated) It is one of the best golf courses in the city. The lawn is well maintained, the course is cute, the fairways are not too narrow, the greens are a bit young but it is good ^^ (Original) 시영골프장 중 베스트입니다. 잔디관리가 잘되어있고, 코스도 아기자기하고, 훼어웨이도 넘 좁지않고, 그린은 약간 어려지만 잘되어있어 좋아요^^
A little over priced
You cant drive a cart without depositing 500 credit... and their machine does not work. I had 4000 dollars of credit and still had to take a pull cart. Not going back
This was my first and probably only time visiting this golf course as it was open to the public for walking. Due to covid all golf courses are closed for the time being. It a fairly nice golf course based on first impressions. If I played golf I would probably play here
Nice playground.
Good conditions. Well managed and maintained golf course.
Great course to play ...
Great city course! Have been coming here since a teen!
The course is in great shape. Hope to enjoy many more visits there during this season.
Right in the heart of Scarborough lies this hidden gem. When you’re on the course you forget where you are as it’s a very tranquil location. This has a wonderful mix of par 3s, 4s and 5s, so you can definitely let your driver rip. I wish they cut the grass more on the right side on the 10th hole, but all in all that’s my only complaint. The staff are friendly and the course is usually well maintained. Have a great time and don’t forget to tip the drink lady!
Great condition for early in the season. Friendly staff and patrons. Good course for all skill levels. My favorite Toronto muni.
not expensive government golf course
Great course! Really enjoyed the morning. Will be back.
Learn a skill, get outside, share time with people if all ages. Environmentally conscious
Very nice golf course. I enjoy the game
(Translated) Great course (Original) 很棒的球场
Played it in Mid-September prior to the greens aeration and the course is in very good condition. Kudos to the grounds maintenance. The fairways are good and most probably best is the rough is cut at ball height, makes the game play faster not looking for your ball even just outside the fairway. Played the game following a Seniors tournament and took only 4 hours or less.
Easy 9 hole walk.
An enjoyable and hilly city course
Good
Good course without driving out of the city
Wonderful course and very nice green!
Course was in good condition. Would have been a great experience but a worker on an ATV with a trailer rake proceeded to rake the sand trap on the par 3 right in the middle of our shots . He then proceeded to run over a shot in the trap . After waiting, I tried to speak with him when we got green side. He completely ignored me and pretended not to hear me. After the round I went to the pro shop for an explanation … the response was he is a city worker and he can’t do anything about it - I would have to call the city. OMG. I was both shocked and disappointed - the implication is they can do anything they want and too bad for you.
Pretty good, terrible greens in my own opinion. But I like the way the 9's are
Course length not long but the municipal course is very well maintained. Greens and fairways are like PGA tour. Great course on Eastside of Toronto. Great to play after work.
I understand all the covid protocols. But if you can't book at time for a single golfer on line answer your phones this is ridiculous!
Good social distancing, easy online booking system, good pace of play. Played here as junior in the 90s, not much has changed since. Time for fellow golfers to unite against the battle from having this course partly or wholly redeveloped by 1% of special interest groups wanting to turn it into community gardens, splash pads, bbq/picnic area or a nature trail. Contact the local councillor and tell them to use the other 1500 parks or 8,000 hectares of public park space that is underutilized. Another record year of golf revenue+rounds played, if Toronto is a world class city, we need a heavy contingent of public golf available to maintain that status, afterall we will be hosting the Canadian open.
Not worth the effort to keep going back to tam . the Marshall s Don't keep the pace of play going The grounds keepers don't know how to cut the fringe around the greens for some reason. The fringe around the greens are terrible.
overall it was ok but i found fueling cost to be little too much. not even sure if they counted the liters properly. boat price is reasonable and condition is good
Need to be more strict with the dress code. One player from the group in front was wearing scandals and sharing a golf bag. How did they slip through the Marshall. I realize this is a municipal public golf course however let’s not get to this level.
Good ????
The course is kept in excellent condition for the heavy amount of play it gets. I play there at least 20 times a year.
Wonderful experience! Chris is a very helpful and experienced instructor, he also reads a lot.
????
Get course, well groomed.
