Good grass
Good place
At one time Scarlett Woods was a very good executive Learners course now it's nothing but a piece of junk 5-hour round slow play nobody cares about the pace to play that marshall tells I'm just a volunteer I can't move people any Faster they pay their money that's just the way it is that's what happens when you play it a cheap golf course I wouldn't recommend this golf course and nobody List golf courses and I'm playing golf course every single part 4 turns in a shot turns into trees you have no way of being able to his learn how to hit a driver on this golf course or play proper golf courses hundred-yard and 60 yard holes not worth the money or your time
Nobody answers the phone.
Good place
One of the most difficult courses i have played. Lots of challenging holes, would highly recommend it. Scarlett Woods > St. Georges.

Called to see about getting out on a Saturday afternoon. There is a phone directory that instructs you to speak to the starter about booking a time the same day. Well no one picked up. Tried the pro-shop, no one picked up. Tried the starter again..no one answered.
Good beginners course. Very friendly people
Good shirt course in good shape Sumner 2018
I've played this course 100x. I love it. I find that often people have anegative comments about this track....most of them are spot on ;) It's an executive in the middle of city. You're going to get new golfers. Prime-time afternoon rounds can be a grind, ranging from slow to excruciating. It's also jammed fairly tight together due to the constraints of being a city muni. Invariably you get about a ball per round flying in at you, rarely accompanied by 'FORE' or any other warning. You look back. They stare at you like a deer in the headlights. You curse, shake your head and play on. The etiquette breaches are plentiful. I've pretty much seen it all at this course. Refer to point no 1: It's an executive muni in the middle of the city. If you're looking for a smooth, speedy round, simply do not play here. Drive down the street to Lambton or St. George's (and add $100K to your first green fee). That said, this course has a lot of positives. Tee-off in the early AM and the pace of play isn't that bad. I've done it in ~2-2.5h with no one in front. I find that not enough reviewers focus on the challenge of golf. For a 4000y muni, this place is a ton of fun. Mature trees, water on about a third of the holes. Most of the par-4s are different from one another, many offering a dog-leg to add some difficulty. The par-3s are fairly vanilla but you still have to have a good wedge game to score on this course. Greens are relatively slow and easy, not much in the way of undulation. The par-4 7th has you hitting a 200y tee-shot down a hallway framed by mature trees to earn you a 150y approach. Tough hole anywhere. And the par-3 signature 17th over the pond with a sucker false left side is always in the back of your mind as you seem to be cruising through your round. Witnessed my first ace at Scarlett, and not on one of the 100y straight-away par-3s as you might imagine. My buddy nutted a 5i on the 182y par-3 9th that landed in the centre of the green and rolled about 10-15ft into it's happy place. Golf perfection achieved! For all the flack this place gets, I feel that done right, it's a very fun place to play a round of golf. If you can get around this track in the 60s, you can play just about anywhere.
Great gem hidden in the city. Well maintained grounds. Only complaint is you need a $500 deposit for the cart.
Wonderful little golf course at a great price. Very friendly and efficient service.
Great place
Great views of historic Humber River! Near sea that Hurricane Hazel destroyed.
Great for short game practice, can get crowded during evenings and weekends. Mornings and mid afternoon are quieter times.
Exceptional in-city golf course.
This is one of the most beautiful bicycle paths that I have come across. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous and the crowd are considerate and polite. I have tried climbing some of the steep hills with my bike and I got a really good exercise out of it so it is a great place for jogging and biking.

This is a great city course for beginners or for a leisurely game of golf. Beautifully maintained and relatively inexpensive. The staff is polite and friendly. I have enjoyed the course for many years with friends. A great place to enjoy a quick evening round.
Too cold to golf
New ownership is ruining a great facility would not tell anyone to play here anymore.
Nice views
Good time with old friends:)
Scratches the itch and you only a pitching wedge and a putter
(Translated) Beautiful urban golf. Welcome and friendly users (Original) Magnifique golf urbain. Accueil et usagers sympas
Clean wide open space. With plenty of big trees to provide shade.
It was great
A surprising jem in the city limits.
nice clean well kept grounds
Well maintained, lost a couple of balls, was good pace of play. On the pricier end but was still good.
Great short course.
Had terrible experience here. Staffs were pushy, rude and pretentious. Brought my friends who never golfed before and they were judging his plays and made rude comments.
Nice little course
Amazing ????.
Scarlett Woods is always a fun round. Run by the City of Toronto, fun and challenging executive course. Great place for beginners or for experienced golfers looking to work on their irons. Course maintaince is pretty good overall. Great public course nestled alongside the Humber!
We will never return. Got judged from the moment we arrived. Place feels like a money grab, way overpriced for what it is. Disappointed.
I love that place.
Played on Saturday. Course was looking pretty solid. Broken sprinkler head on 6th tee deck which resulted in a very dry tee deck. This happens so not a huge deal. A few holes need to have trees trimmed back. One hole on the back nine from the whites is about 75 yards and you only have the option to punch it onto the green- no shot at a 56 in. Trim the trees back. Oh, and the push carts are a rip off at 7$. Lee the pro needs to drop his margins on these especially when he has no power carts to offer his customers. I wont be carrying my bag in 35C.
Nope. Just no.
Excellent challenging course with ever-changing fall leaves.
Great value city owned course. Great condition late in the season, some fun holes ????????
It's not bad. The location is ideal, though expensive.
Great par 3 course in the city...
One of the prettiest golf courses in the area....
Nice city course
This mostly par 3 course is perfect for a fast 18 or tuning up your short game. Water damage a few years ago is mostly repaired now. Its fairly flat and a good walk so don't rent a power cart unless you have to.
Short exe course
Great course, perfect for beginners as well.
That 17th hole…????????♂️
Ok nearby short drive
Great for a quick 9 or to get a round in. The grounds are mature with big trees, water features and easy going staff. A few holes were wonky and under repair, but for a public course and the fair pricing that didn’t seem to bother me. It’s in a valley, so it gets wet and can be mucky after a lot of rain. Overall it’s close to me and I’ve grown to like it for accessibility. They have some great workshops with pros and a women’s night to practice too. Check it out.
A very narrow course with many beginners, just need to watch out????
Love
Essentially a long par 3 at the price of real course.
Although its short be prepared to use every iron in your bag. Its tougher than you think and a great course to improve your skills.
Good to practice your short game
Good spot for beginners or practicing Short game. It's a very tight course so you have to watch for other golfers (who are likely) beginners hitting thier shots into your path. But the price is cheap and it's a good spot to get a quick round in.
It's ok, not the greatest course
Nice golf course not too far from downtown.
Decent golf course for their price. The greens are somewhat maintained, but the staff is friendly and helpful. Probably wouldn't visit back because of its location.
The people running the course think its very high and classy when it really isn't. They make comments on the clothing you should be wearing and especially don't like it when your wearing regular running shoes. It was a Saturday early morning .. I just wanted to golf
Good golf course (particularly for one that is publicly operated). For a fair price of $29, you can enjoy 18 holes on the west end of Toronto. Most holes are less than 150 yards, so don’t expect to use your woods much but you’ll enjoy how this course weaves around. Staff were nice, good COVID policies in place and the golf carts were very new - however, the course itself could use a manicure as there were loads of weeds and leaves. Overall, this is a nice course for the novice golfer.
Years ago, the manager in the club house told me that thunder does not mean lightning, and hence no rain check would be issued. I actually laughed. This tells you all you need to know about how the City of Toronto courses are operated.
awesome course
Decent executive course. The bunkers suffer after rain, though, and greens can be a bit irregular.
Just spend over 3 hours picking golf balls from the humber river, they are polluting the waters. We are nature lovers and this made me really upset.
Long, but excellent disc golf course ???? ????
Although the course may be decent, the staff on the course is regularly way out of bounds with how pushy they can be. My group maintained pace and the rangers constantly interrupted our game with terrible attitudes. Even the cart woman aggressively approached me and accused me of bringing alcohol from home in my canteen, yelling, from twenty yards away. After finally getting a word in to explain that it was water, she angrily sped off. Seriously, I play a lot of golf and this is the only course where I'm more worried about the staff than the hazards.

Scarlet Woods is a great city owned course gem with mostly par 3's located reasonably close to Toronto's core. It is usually maintain very well although right now nearing the end of the season there is some areas that need improvement. Friendly staff and fellow golfers if you're going out solo and get paired up
Grabels = back-to-back birdies! Oh what a splendid day.
City run but great for any level of amateur golfer.
Beautiful !!!!
It's a fun and cheap beginner course. Accessible and fun.
Beautiful course for the short game
Great
Fabulous restaurant snacks and service from beautiful Carmella.
Nice sort holes, lots of par3, great for beginners

Small but well-kept, decent rates for a city course.
This is a simple course and a fair price. The greens are very fast, the fairways are in excellent condition but the sand traps are rock solid. It is a great course to warm up for the season.
Good value
This is a hidden gem! Not too hard for beginners with enough of a challenge to keeps things interesting for the more advanced golfer. The landscaping highlights are all the amazing trees. Big old growth giants that have to be 100+ years old. We will definitely be back.

One of the most difficult courses i have played. Lots of challenging holes, would highly recommend it. Scarlett Woods > St. Georges.
Great city course, go at dusk to get the cheap rates and sunset.
Great course for 40$. A lot of challenging holes and friendly staff!
Very nice but slow moving.
Cool course bring your long arm
Nice quick moving course
Love this course, a good mix of beginner and advanced holes
Played twilight golf for $30....good tune up spot for irons but wouldn't play more than $30 to play this course.
Simple course at a good price. Always have fun here.
This course is terribly managed. The proshop lacks customer service. We had a tee time booked for 8:20am. We arrived early for our tee time and were informed it was cancelled due to a frost delay. There was no call, or any email alerting us to this delay, not to mention there is nothing posted on the website or the confirmation email about potential cancelations due to frost. As we were waiting to see if there was anything they could do they opened the course for the people at 8:30. Instead of delaying tee times by 10 minutes and pushing everyone back like a normal person would they just told us it's cancelled and to call the City to complain. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Non pretensious, pretty little exec city course. Nature abound. In the city none the less.
No problem getting on the course as soon as I arrived.
Great course to play a quick round.
Disc Golf Course there is awesome
Hidden gem great course for a quick walking 18
The course is nice , however the girl at the front counter was miserable . They require $500 deposit for golf carts and couldn’t split up the payment for it between the two players . She was very in-accommodating and left a bad taste with us . We’ll head back to our country club thanks .
Nice little course. Convenient for the city dwellers
The course is in fair condition, but the greens do not roll true. Staff were extremely friendly. I will go back. Juzt with limited expectations
Fantastic 9 hole winter disc golf course.
Poor course maintenance. $7 to use a push cart ????. Ranger tried to enforce rules that don't exist
Ok
A lot of, shorter course, but well maintained. Staff were great and the pace of play was decent - we had a slow foursome ahead of us, but they let us through. Can't beat the price in the heart of the city. Will definitely head back here for sure.
First time to a golf course. This place is great and lovely. The courses are clean with long courses and short ones too. Quite expensive tbh, I was hoping for cheaper rates as I would love to play here regularly. Would visit again but not anytime soon.
Nice course. A lot of short holes. Many trees down due to storm damage
Decent city executive course. Course was in decent condition, prices are ok. Good for beginners.
Course is a good place to work on your short game and putting. Nice scenery and the twilight princess is pretty reasonable. You don't feel you're on the city while on the course.
Does anyone answer the phone at this pro shop? I’ve called multiple times now and it’s just rung out
4 of us had the course to ourselves, almost. With persistence we experienced, showers, sun, clouds, hail, and very high winds, but not all at once.
Great public tract in the westend of the city. Seven par 4s the rest par 3s
Great public tract in the westend of the city. Seven par 4s the rest par 3s
Descent city course for the price. Usually in fair shape
Decent for a publicly run course.
With this wet summer the course is lush and green. Plays very well with the. Greens rolling true and at moderate pace
A relatively short but forgiving course which is easily accessible.
A relatively short but forgiving course which is easily accessible.
nice place for a quick round...
Great course
It's a small course, driver comes out only on one hole. But they keep it in great shape! Definitely worth the 50 ????
As a beginner golfer I consider this club perfect for me.
It's closed now but it's a good place to walk your dog and let them run we were there today with a friend with his dog and they just loved it
Fantastic little golf course in the city. Just perfect.
Amazing, very organized and calm
Pro shop doesn’t even listen to you when you call to book. Was immediately put on hold 3 times without a choice. Very rude.
Today was painfully slow. Had to wait 15-20 minutes at every tee box. Not sure how golf courses are managed or how to address that issues but pretty brutal. Way better to go on week nights than weekend.
I remember when it opened in 1974.Been quite a few times over the years: What you see is what you get. I always felt welcome. It suits good players who do not underestimate the challenges, and for less able players an opportunity to have a fun round at a decent price without feeling unwelcome. All staff were friendly. I recommend it often with limited to devote to a round.
Pretty course. Mostly par 3s. Friendly, helpful staff. This is a good value in the middle of the city.
First time playing this course, excellent course for perfecting your iron shots and some nice part 4 holes, management is friendly and so are the golfers on the course, I will play this course many times this season's.
My Wife and I went golfing on June 11th, twilight hours, around 4pm. I will say that for a public course the carts, grounds and greens were all maintained well. My experience with the staff was another experience that makes this review so low, as well as the over-booking of the greens. The gentleman at the starter box was incredibly condescending and questioned our golfing ability many times before sending us out to play with a two-some. The men we were matched with were polite and tried to lighten the mood because the man working was clearly out of line. As we proceeded to the first hole, he watched. I hit a the longest shot, and that got him off of our backs. He had the course so double booked it was insanely slow. No staggering of tee-times and starters. While playing, we did end up splitting from the men we were matched with as they were slower because they walked the course and we were using a power cart. The marshall of the course is where things went from uncomfortable at the beginning to completely inappropriate. He seemed to be doing his job, driving hole to hole. He never stopped once with the beginner men behind us. He stopped each time he passed me and my Wife and offered his 'advice'. Sounds harmless, but when the advice is constantly referring to your breasts, hips and how women should know how to move them, it becomes less comfortable the more it happens. He would watch from behind, and leave remarks about thrusting and offside nonsense. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt the first time, and re-assured him I appreciated his tips, but we were okay without them. He found his way back to us 3 more times. I hated that aspect of our day so much that now, a few weeks later, I felt as though I needed to write a formal complaint. Women golfing there, be assertive and don't talk any talk from the marshall that is not appropriate. I wish now that I had made a formal complaint and paused my play but didn't want to ruin our 'date' out in a long time.
No complaints , decent place to spend some time with friends & T off :)
Super impressed by the shape of this course, especially after reading some negative reviews. Showed up with the wrong tee time but Tim in the pro shop was nice enough to let us go off and the ranger was pleasant whenever we saw him. 100% recommend if you're looking for a nice, short course to play in town.
Great course and great price only thing is carts are 500$ deposit
Nice short course. Typical city run fairways and greens.
Love playing this city course but the customer service is severely lacking. When calling the pro shop they don’t pick up the phone or when they do actually pick up the phone they ask you to “hold”and then promptly hang up. It’s ridiculous. How is a city run course not accessible to speak to staff via phone?
Great fishing!
Lives across the street from the course. Leave your driver at home. You don't need it here. Great place to work on your short game. A 3 wood is the biggest club you need.
Great course. Other players were great. Course is very well taken care of. Highly recommend!!!
An excellent par 62 course for the price. Challenging with narrow tree lined fairways and smaller greens. Sand traps are poor, hard with debris. Weekends are very slow with many patrons not understanding pace of play or ready golf. Course is very walkable for all ages vast majority of seniors do not use a cart.
Decent little course

Great place and almost bumped into a coyote on the first . Staff was great with good advice .. let the coyote play through lol
Always in great condition , great value too
Very nice place
I like scarlett woods. I'm just so tired of the people on the course saying that we are holding back the movement of play when I can still see the people in front of us. I have been here dozens of times and almost every time I've been harrassed. To go faster. How about you leave me alone and let me enjoy my game and bother the real people holding back the course. Paying for a green fee and a golf cart and still expected to be able to smell the lingering gas from the previous players on the tee by the Marshall who has no problem talking to you as your mid swing. I should give them a lower score but it's not the golf course is fault it's just grass and trees.
friendly people tricky coarse good luck good price rent clubs good clubs
Great value for the price. Well kept course, nice views, very convenient central location, and great staff.
Nice golf course for the price. Most of the holes are par 3. There are four par four holes. Ususlly very busy
Scarlett is an easy par 3/4 that is worth checking out if you're in the area. You may see a deer or rabbit on the back 9!
Tennis courts are amazing
Good city course
Been golfing here for years. Challenging executive course. Pricing was reasonable. This changed over the last couple years. Price increases have put the price higher than full courses. Final straw was a month ago when the two holes under repair was semi repaired and they increased price from $31 (lower rate due to on-going repairs) to $45 and wanted us to hit off mats. A course that should take 3 hours was consistently taking 4 to 4.5 hours and marshal was not doing anything to get players moving. We had enough and switched courses.
It's a nice golf course but the staff definitely was not helpful, honestly not even kind either!
I enjoy golf and the course is not too big if you are fairly new at the game
No food on coarse an no signs for direction but great marshels
Getting a 5 day morning tee time takes way to long. Waited 25 minutes on hold for the Saturday morning at 6:30 am.
The course is in decent shape and is fun for beginners and intermediate players ! It can be a little short and some par 3's are under 100 yards. The staff was the highlight of our experience! They were so lovely and helpful along the way. Great job everyone working there and keep up the good work!
Nice course in decent shape. Greens a bit slow but play fair. Prices are very reasonable, staff friendly enough. Twilight rates are great. Only problem is it's a cheaper city course so tons of hackers. Guys waiting til the group in front clears the green on a par 4. Then 3 out of 4 shanking/duffing balls less than 100 yards. Constantly looking for balls on other fairways or in the bushes makes for a slow round. That's why this place doesn't get a 5. Great value in the city.
Beautiful any time of the year. Great location and very well looked after.
Best golf bargain in Metro. Tee off early and get a round in before work. Challenging 18holes, par 62.
Good public golf course. Can be incredibly slow .
The place has no concept of customer service. I rented a golf cart which ended up being 3 separate credit card transactions??? You get a cart only after you make a credit card deposit of $500. After the golf round the cart is inspected by the starter for damage. My cart passed the initial return inspection and then the starter chased me into the parking lot where I was accused of damaging the cart. After an argument with him he was told by someone that the cart had this minor damage before. I felt my $500 deposit was going to disappear -my word against his!!! Obviously, you need to thoroughly inspect the golf cart prior to renting. The process is like you are renting a new car from AVIS?? J. Lee was also unhelpful and blamed the cart situation on the city's policy. I won't be back.
Nice place for Forest Bath
Absolutely terrible customer service. Been trying to call in to book a Tee Time for the past 3 days. Phone just rings or they put you on hold and forget about you. Don't waste your time and go someplace else.
I am shocked anyone would give this place more than a 3. The greens look like a grenade field. The clubs I rented (I'm from out of town) are worth combined $15 including bag.......and pull kart. In true fashion, absolutely minimum maintenance is given
I would gove this course 3.5 stars. I played with my son today. It's a good course for beginners. Some of the fairways are narrow and are encroached upon by large trees. Some of the holes are close to one another so keep an eye out, we almost got hit. This course is good to practice your short game. Our round was 4 hours which I thought was reasonable considering it was a holiday Monday. Prices are reasonable. I would go back but only with my son.
Solid track for the price. Greens could be a lot faster. Drainage can be an issue if we get a lot of rain. Pace needs to be pushed more by the Marshall's as it can be incredibly slow when it's busy. When it's wide open you can walk the course in 2.5 - 3 hours.
Good social distancing, executive level course, first to tee off early AM is a great time. No one in front of us, good pace, we weren't holding anyone up. Lastly, this does not need to be turned into a complementary nor alternative use park (check nearby 1,500 parkland), although no current city consultation posted here in the official Scarlett Woods Information Board!
Nice place

One of the golf players shot a ball out of the park while I was driving on Eglinton ended up smashing my front headlight, went to confront the owner and he told me to call the city.
lovely course and well priced.
Good public golf course. Easy course to play
A nice little course at a great price. I enjoy going here to work on my short game. Great views and great staff!!!
Great city executive course, some of the holes are tight, trees can use some trimming. Can finish a round in 2.5hrs but there have been times when round has taken 3.5-4hrs. Slow greens and rock hard tee boxes.
I've been here countless times, however the round I played last week was very dissapointing. There was a group ahead of us which kept us waiting at each tee, but what was worse was the group behind us who would be taking tee shots while we were still on the fairway (once again, held back because of the group ahead of us). We never saw the marshal once. Half of the greens were in the worst condition I've ever seen, they looked more like bunkers (this is not a joke). We still made the best of our day and had a good time, but I wish I went to the clubhouse and asked for a refund because its no fund putting through a literal sandbox after landing a nice tee shot on the green. Not even worth the $40.
Great course for the money. Challenging course l, you'll use every club in your bag. Greens could be a lot faster. People don't repair divots and the bunkers are garbage.
Walked through on one of my daily walks. Looks challenging...though cant afford the membership fees
Very good
Worst staff experience on the planet for a PUBLIC course. If you want to ruin your Sunday afternoon, make sure to book with these clowns.
Nice 18 holer in the middle of the city. Friendly staff and for $40 you can't go wrong
Very scenic
excellent short course and great to walk
More waiting then playing. Rather go to a driving range. At least you get to hit shots at the range.
Nice easy 18 hole course
Interesting course. Great value for money. Narrow fairways but with opportunities to score; we all enjoyed the challenge; will definitely play it again.
Nice course
