We've got all the opinions of real people like you who consumed the services of Royal Woodbine Golf Club (Golf) near to the area of Etobicoke (Canada).
At the moment the business gets a rating of 4.1 stars out of 5 and this score was based on 127 reviews.
As you can see the average score it has is really high, and it is based on a high number of scores, so we can conclude that the score is very credible. If many people have bothered to leave their opinion when they've done well with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to place feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Golf is included in the category of Golf course.
Tight fairways. Accurate tee shots are key to success here.
Attend a private party the food served was excellent
Nice golf course close to airport. Interesting to see the planes fly overhead so close.
Absolutely Beautiful
Beautiful
Course was in excellent shape. We had an enjoyable day.
Great course, great food. Killer set of rentals.
Very good for the location. ????
We had a work function here. The food was great, and the main hall had a great view of the course.
Wet but beautiful.
(Translated) A place like that... (Original) 그저그런 장소...
Golf course is in great shape with all the rain in July and in the start of August. There's water on almost every hole and plenty of dog legs and blind holes. Course is not very long, definitely need to know your distances. RWG has an app and you can score on the app which at the same time provides GPS locations. Beautiful clubhouse with outside seating which gives you a view of the first hole going out and the 18th hole coming in. The only slight challenge for golfers are the planes overhead since this course is very close to Pearson Airport.
Great wedding venue.
Great course, challenging! Will play again.
Nice greenery!
Course is starting to go downhill. Need to spend some money to fix the place up. That said, good value for money. Challenging course.
Short by modern standards and quite tight. Target golf to be certain. A few holes right on the flight path so you will literally have a 747 flying 2000ft above your head. My feeling is it's too expensive (~$100 w/car) versus the quality/experience but it's within city limits (location, location, location).
Great Atmosphere & The Food Was Amazing!
Dont waste your $$ on this course unless you are a scratch golfer. If you can’t hit it straight you dont stand a chance. Roll into the rough and good luck finding your ball. The course is very dry and a perfectly placed shot will roll either into the rough or creek. You are at the mercy of the course. We saw numerous grounds people on the course but doing what I don’t know. Basically getting in the way. Do yourself a favour and play elsewhere.
Nice track in the heart of Etobicoke. Planes zoom by over majority of course every minute or so though. Lotsa dog legs, not many flags visible from tees on par 4 and 5's!
Expensive for quality. Scorecard doesn't match golf canada app
Nice place
Amazing view of golf ground while you having party. 300 ppl gathering indoor and outdoor.
Decent course, limited water. Somewhat pricey for this level of course but you can find discount online. Clubhouse is excellent in both food, drink and service.
You have to play golf here....!
Prime spot, love it
Great round
Exceptional
The golf course is well maintained. One thing I don't like about it is too close to the airport. You will constantly see airplane flying over your head while playing.
Clubhouse food was excellent with fast friendly service. Had the Cobb salad with grilled salmon. Salad was fresh and the salmon was not overcooked which is always good.
Pretty gross
Beautiful course in the heart of the city.
One of the best event venues in Toronto. The food is incredible and the staff are very easy to work with.
Nice
Nice, tight, easy to walk golf course. It's target golf at it's best. Depending on the winds, sometimes it's entertaining with the planes landing at Pearson.
A Royal Mess! Most bunkers still washed out 14+ days since any significant rain. Dumps of sand in middle of some bunkers with lots of footprints in the pile (been there a while). Some temporary tees. Overgrown greens and fairways. Lots of employees driving around but nobody actually doing anything on any hole. It was almost hilarious. Pick up a rake or drop your mower deck! No food/coffee in the proshop or clubhouse. I won't be back.
Nice course, but the layout is frustrating for a longer hitter.
Beautiful course close to the airport and VERY reasonably priced for a full length, challenging course! Great pro shop and excellent staff.
Great course and event venue.
Take you ear plugs. Too close to the airport
Beautiful place
A tough but fair course. Bring lots of malls.
Close to home, good shape.
With all the recent rain and violent windstorms, it is extremely wet. Lots of debris all over. Cart paths only for today and likely for the next several.
The course is tucked away in the Mimico creek valley, only a few hundred meters from the end of Toronto Pearson's busy runways. If you don't mind the occasional 757 soaring overhead, it's a scenic course with very tight fairways. Some of the short par 4's can lead to bottlenecks with players waiting for others to clear the green before teeing off, so be prepared for a longer than usual round. Green fees are slightly above average compared to similar courses in the area. I'd much prefer Royal Ontario for the same $.
The space is fantastic, nice lighting very spacious and clean, lots of room and well maintained. However there are two venues here with two separate entrances but with the same address so when guests arrive for the event it would be good to have signs directing people where to go.
Perfect
Pricey championship course. Narrow too
Had a great time
It has been a few years since I've played here and I always marvelled at this course is configuration given the tight space and it's Target like layout. Played it yesterday and I think the season has been difficult on all golf courses so it stands to reason that some of the typical Finishing Touches we're somewhat incomplete. Still a fun place to play but not as much shine on the diamond these days.
It is an interesting course but some holes are challenging and require good control of distance and accuracy. My tee time got mess up the day I played. I gave the starter my ticket at 2:48pm for single play but he already sent away another twosome group for the same time. No apology offered. He could have made an effort to let me out in the following group, but instead he put me in a group teeing off after 30 mins. Make sure you check with them on tee or they can put you behind time.
Google has it wrong this time, at the VUE hall? and in the same building, very nice venue and staff is very helpful in feeding me drinks, and getting me drunk. ...that's staff in feeding my habit
Amazing view!
Well maintained
We go here for the daily lunch specials. Great food and inexpensive.
Well, this review is all about holiday party so can't share experience about golfing. Love their location and hospitality. Rhe food was absolutely delicious. So many salads and vegetarian options. Their butternut squash soup was awesome. Don't miss their late night pizza. Overall one of the best experience. Thanks to host (Wayfair Canada) and all staff at Woodbine golf club.
Come here almost everyday. Has the best view
Great venue for a wedding.
Higher end golf greens that are well maintained. Hole 18 is just gorgeous. Near airport, so you get to see low riders once in a while.
Great course! I love the fact that you tee off at hole#1 and there's a Boeing 747 flying a few hundred feet above you. The fairways are relatively tight but besides aircraft flying overhead, you forget your really close to the city. The greens aren't very forgiving so if you happen to overshoot consider it a lost ball. I'll be back.
Good nice video mail
Love the course. Great shape!
Helped a friend set up wedding flowers there very nice venue and the staff was very helpful. The venue was called The vue.
Course layout is good, maintenance for the price is below expectations and pace of play was fairly slow. Not enough spacing between groups and no marshal to control pace.
Great playing conditions. Well maintained greens, fast pace
This is a very challenging course. The greens are well maintained and offer a lot of undulations and tricky puts even if you hit them in regulation. The Tee boxes and fairways can be better maintained. Pace of play can be all over the place and there is no coordination between their online booking system and the Starter's Tee Sheet. While they never turn you away, it can be annoying when they tell you they can't find you on the Tee Sheet. As with anything in Toronto, it is all about location, location, location. You pay a price for proximity, for value I suggest playing here only if you get a deal. Paying full price here in my opinion isn't worth it.
Nice course! Very well maintained and beautifull
Close proximity to the city. Good staff. Course maintenance is ok.
Really strange experience. Used GolfNow to book a "discount tee time" still paid around 90$ at the end of April in freezing rain / strong wind. I know that situation is on me - however, RWGC / GolfNow should really warn you that you are about to experience a ridiculous round of golf. The course pretty much sits directly underneath the runway at Toronto Pearson Airport, so planes are just taking off 300 feet above your head for the most of the course and the sound is deafening. Definitely do not attend if you are hungover. Otherwise, course is very tricky and definitely a good test for even experienced golfers.
Nice View. It's realy loud because of the nearby airport. Great for beginners.
Wedding reception and ceremony where held here food staff and venue were amazing . Golf course looked good also
Great place
Great service ... Great employees .. the space is to small .. for a small wedding . The layout of th place is just not the greatest
The marshal allowed AN EIGHT-SOME to play the last hole together which caused an extra 30 minutes of waiting and a 5 hour round. The course is nice but they cram the tee times so close together that you wait on every hole. Constant planes flying over don’t exactly add to the enjoyment. On one tee box the marshal was approaching so we moved our carts on the grass to let him use the path to get by. He stopped and scolded us for not being on the path and that he "can go on the grass" not us. Too bad that a nice layout and decent conditions but stuff like that ruined the day.
Overpriced for a course directly under the Pearson Airport flight path. Even when buying an Underpar voucher that includes a free replay, the pro-shop manager rudely tells you there's nothing available for after your first 18. If a 120 person tournament is booked weeks in advance then they should advise you a replay won't be available when you made it clear you plan to play another 9. Instead they say, "you should be happy with what you got!" I'd much rather go to Lakeview just down the 427 which has a better layout, no distracting flights overhead, and nice staff. Avoid Royal Woodbine.
Very challenging course. You need to be accurate when on this course otherwise you will be out of bounds, in the water or in the rough often.
Great place
Good
Well maintained and managed golf course in GTA area.
Nice place and fair prices
Beautiful wedding and events venue
Well maintained good challenge.
Great course. Great shape. Tough and tight.
Booked the tee-time using Tee-Off app. Reasonable price. It was cold! The course is very close to Pearson Airport, Canada's largest international airport. Planes flying relatively low are a common experience. During this pandemic, not as much but low flying! It wasn't busy due to the weather but constant number of players on course. The course is a very good challenge as it requires good tee shots and excellent second shots. There are number of forced carry shots. The course provides an app to help you navigate, too. I used my SwingU app. The tee boxes were in good shape. The course was wet so, it was only cart path for us. That made it a slower day. Fairways were in good shape and so were the greens. However, the bunkers were in terrible shape. Actually closer to hard-packed mud. Not worth trying to hit out of them because skill would not be a factor....only a shovel would have helped. The course doesn't have a driving range. Just two driving nets adjacent to the parking lot.
Love golf
Ok place kind of pricey
ok
Course is in great shape, a good test of golf. First time playing in years. Well treated by staff and enjoyed the company of a couple of members who guided me around the course.
Challenging and convenient
Solid round of watching people play golf in our tournament.
Really enjoy the golf course and the layout. it is always in good shape, and each hole is unique in it's own way with plenty of hazards. each hole is segmented in a way that really encourages you to think about which club to selec off the tee box. be prepared to lose plenty of balls if you're not hitting them on target! The only downside is depending on the day in the wind, you may spend all 18 holes with planes flying immediately overhead, which can be an earful.
Very nice place to have fun
Course is on awful condition and even worse considering the green fees. I love to golf but I would've much rather sat at home than play this course.
Great memories for mothers day brunch
Excellent service amazing staff
Nice golf course with unique aspect of having planes approaching overhead as they land at Pearson International airport. Electric golf carts were fun
Nice
Enjoying
Very nice golf club. The river creek does change the game!
So the cost of course it's very high. But the course is in ok condition. Not worth $100+ I used to play this course a lot before they Hiked their prices. The group ahead we super slow. And the marshall kept watching the wrong group
Really nice view of the golf course. Have nice seated area to relax and recover. Drinks are average price and service was great!
Great course close to the city
Great course in the city
Great course in the city
Goats patch!
Golf
Its a challenging course with creeks on almost every hole, the biggest drawback is that it takes so long to dry out. This results in many days of cart path rules. But very convenient for location.
Flexible venue, easily adapted to any occasion
Green fees are way too pricy. Clubhouse staff not very nice. Maintenance staff everywhere.. Distracting to our game, and nervous to hit them with our shots. For $100+/person, golfers shouldn't be seeing maintenance staff all over the course. And patchy/uneven tee boxes.
Great course, great condition. Awesome staff.
Haven't played this course in several years and forgot much about it. Great scenery and a picturesque track. But bombers beware, this is very much a target golf course, you won't use your driver much if at all and trouble is everywhere.
The golfing is good, the course is nicely maintained but the food falls short. Don't expect quality from this kitchen, the website menu is not the same as at the venue. The food itself is basic frozen ingredients put together to form a plate, nothing is made from scratch.
I strongly recommend this course
This was a great course if you've got a bit of a bigger handicap or you're just starting out. Definitely has its challenging holes as well. All in all a great course at a great price!
Pricey but discounts are available online or from the club directly. Difficult course due to tight fairways and sloped greens but are well kept. The feskew is very unforgiving! My only criticism is that since it's in such an urban location, there are a lot of airplanes flying low overhead and the highway traffic can get distracting. There were also people playing very loud music on the back-9. If they're going to play music for everyone to hear, they could at least choose something more tasteful than Drake's 2011 top-40 hits... I'd play here again with a discount since it is very close to work.
Nice course but a bit above my pedestrian level. Also in a weird spot...
Quite lot of water. Bring some more balls with you.
Nice
Tough track Can't beat the proximity
Course has been poorly maintained. Still very challenging. Marshall out to ensure pace of play.
vue is a nice, casual venue
Difficult for a beginner, lots of water. Scheduled our tee time with another group, but we had to wait until they moved all their carts out before we could head out to the course
Just beautiful
AMAZING mother's day brunch
Nice but over rated.
Very nice greens, course in great shape
Good for big group dinners.
Great 18 hole course located minutes away from Downtown Toronto. Easily accessible by major highways. The course offers holes with varying degrees of difficulty which add to the overall great experience. A true hidden gem in Toronto.
Great venue.... good food and friendly staff.
I would say they care more about getting your green fee than the customer experience. Won’t say anymore but I likely will not return or recommend this course. Far too many courses in the GTA to patronize.
vue is a nice, casual venue
Having played this course countless times years ago, it remains one of my favorite tracks in the area. Great value and great staff. Come armed with plenty of balls and ready for classic target golf. Big hitters may pull out driver 2 or 3 times max..
Bare keto
Nice one
Great course. Great crew
The stuff are super friendly and warm. I will definitely come back this summy
Good course but planes are annoying
Average course but with jets flying overhead if you like that thing. My problem is the “pro” charged me $30 to have my 7 yr old walk with me. No clubs. No other course has ever charged me for that. First he said it was for insurance but then went on to say it’s because guys bring their girlfriends all the time just to ride the cart. Neither was the case here. It was a joke, a money grab and so disappointing to be taken advantage like that.
Great course! Beautifully kept and just a few minutes from downtown Toronto.
Too expensive. Simply not worth it. I'd compare it to Turtle creek, although turtle creek is 1/3 of the cost.
Course was in great shape, service was fantastic!!!
Nice course, little loud
Nice course, not as nice as you'd think for the high price though. Greens weren't well kept, pace was slow. Boring par 3s but some really nice and fun holes as well. Good place if there's nowhere else to go, however the price is high.
Best wedding spot in Toronto
Decent. Hard.
Course looked great!
Didn't golf but got married off the venue right next to it. Was a great backdrop to the wedding. Perfect
This is a good challenging course, close to the city. If you've got the time, drive further out and you'll get much better value for your buck. For the price here, you're not getting great value. The condition of the course is adequate, but it appears the cart paths, bridges and walkways are starting to look aged. For washrooms there are only a set or two of porto-johns out in the course. Drinks are very over-priced off the beer cart, more so than the usual inflation at golf courses. There are sometimes commercial planes flying 10 feet over your head, depending on which landing strip are being used at the airport, which is very distracting.
A cool place to play golf.
Wow is all I can say. It is a tough course but man is it fun! We had a great time with our 4some, challenging course, used the driver about 6 or 7 holes.
I play Clublink and this course is up there
Nice layout, nice clubhouse, course is in awful shape...25 Bux max green fees.
Nice course. Relatively accessible. Not too expensive. Signage on the first few holes is poor, ie. I had trouble finding the tees on holes 2, 3 and 4.
The lies in the fairway are perfect and the greens are a pleasure to play on.
Beauty course conditions even though we're in a heatwave. Greens were nice and consistently good. Great afternoon!
Great challenging course water sand. Close to everything right in the city
Very nice and fair for all golfers
Very beautiful venue and the food is really good.
Golf tournament hard course
Great course with some challenging holes
Nice looking golf club. I was working in the Vue lounge. It was quite impressive.
Amazing place
Everything you Need!
I haven't been anywhere near there in 20 years
Always great
Always enjoy playing here. Sometimes pace of place can be an issue but other then that it's a fun course!
Very pleasurable and friendly staff.
Was never here, but Google thinks so.
Damn tough, fun for plane watching, lots of water.
Good place
Incredible, a masterpiece.
Very friendly and helpful people.
Amazing staff and service!
Beautiful day
Love the place along with the food
(Translated) express delivery (Original) 快递
A bit expensive, but nice course in the city
Thus is nice place for weddings and events. Beautiful view.
It’s disappointing of the high green fees this course charges.......even twilight rates are steep. Overall, I do like the actual course - I’ll only play it if I get a Hot Deal on GolfNow.
Great golf course. We'll maintained and kept.
Played here a few times, never disappoints. Decent drives, easy to get to or even organize an event at. Each hole has its own toughness but it flows nicely. Grounds were well maintained and helpful staff. Check it out!
Love this course. Stay in the fairways though or the water will punish you.
Great place! the staff is really helpful and friendly.
Course is in good shape. You better like planes because it is loud!
Lost alot of golf balls Water on almost all holes With all the rain Creek was white water rapids
Had a great time!
Nice and close to me
Course is in good shape. Pace of play was a little slow. A real test of golf.
Very very slow pace of play. Only played 5 holes in 2 hours and that’s not an exaggeration. Couldn’t take it any longer. Walked off. Anything in the clubhouse is extremely expensive. I really wanted to try this course and was so looking forward to playing it. Very disappointed.
Good course, friendly pro shop staff
The grounds looked very well groomed. There is a pro store on the property. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They also have golf carts available. It was a calming atmosphere in the midst of a busy environment.
In my honest opinion, for the quality of the course, it is overpriced. The course conditions have fallen short over the years. The bunkers have little stones in them and some bunkers do not drain well at all. The sand is hard and greens are …
Greens are fantastic. Fairways are good and the course is tight but score-able. Turf maintenance is good but bunkers all need edge work and weeding. Hiring a bird dog every now and then to chase away the geese on #18 would be good too.
Great course
Good course ❤
Could there be more water on this course? I don't think so. Beautiful course but it's a tough one.
Nice course But is charging full green fees with 4 holes covered in sand and two holes shortened
Great day, course is in amazing shape
Nice course , challenges you all around. Well recommended place
Great course play was a little slow you have to hit your shots requires accuracy my only complaint was last couple of holes you could hear the DJ from the wedding and ruined some shots from my group would be quiet and then he would shout or scream not very professional over 2 holes probably cost me extra 4 shots.
Good
Great place!
Worst customer experience
There for a wedding outside tented great times staff excellent. Food very good.would recommend in decent weather
Awesome course. Great layout and design.
Amazing place and great sights
Good course inside city
Nice course , challenges you all around. There can sometimes be too many people booked on this course. I have had rounds exceed 5 hours here.
For the money this is a great course and quite challenging. It is well maintained.greens were in great shape
Royal Woodbine is always a fun course to play because it requires strategic ball placement for most holes making it a challenging course to play. It was in good shape and followed Covid rules well.
Great course. Would consider a five star but pace ofbplay can suffer due to lack of Marshall's
Honestly the worst course i've ever been to. The cart paths are worse than driving on Eglinton Ave during construction... For 120 dollars a round you'd think the cart paths would be at least half decent, instead its crushed stone and broken asphalt. And the bridges are wooden planks of ply wood, they didn't even replace the planks. Not well kept at all. Everytime we go the warden always tries to rush us out.... Always around the 9th/10th hole the warden approaches and tells you to speed it up because the next hole infront of you is empty so we're moving too slow, even though there's no one approaching from behind, and when we started off our tee time, nobody was infront of us. I have given this course many opportunities and chances, but it just continues to get worse and worse. Do not come here. There are plenty of other courses that are 100% better and don't cost as much.
2nd Worse golf course, then to tilbury of course
Convenient as this course is close to Pearson airport. Modern clean clubhouse. Water is in play on every hole. Course management required
I loved it the only problem is the airplanes some time they come so low you can see the color of the eyes of the pilot, apart from that the golf course is immaculate.Bravo!!!!
Great conditions and great customer service. It's easy to get to from office so I can play a quick 9 after work.
Really nice view of the golf course. Have nice seated area to relax and recover.
Nicely maintained but short course. Not that enjoyable.
Nice course.
Nice golf club for slow play......
Nice, nice Niceeeee
The vue is a great venue
I really like this course, a shot makers track. Not too long, but accuracy is needed to score well. However, weekend play is extremely slow. A lot of high handicappers play here since it is in the city, but the course has hazards on almost every hole so pace of play suffers as they may not understand the proper adequate to keep the pace of play. Tee times are stacked with no spacing between so expect 5.5hrs a round during the weekends. Overall the course is quite fun, but pace of play is almost unbearable. If you can play off-peak times I would recommend.
Great venue area!
Absolute joke of a course. Tee times aren't spaced out enough so you spend half your time waiting around while people are hacking up the course. Got 12 holes in in 3 hours and left. Marshall didn't care and pro shop never answers the phone. Spend your money elsewhere, this place used to be good.
Very well keep course but tough to play
very tight golf course
Well maintained and good food
Beautiful
Challenging track. Goose situation needs to be worked out.
Course is well maintained and a good course to test your skills
puked everywhere 10/10
What can I say - difficult course but rewarding!
Great club all around - holes, food, beverage and employees.
Great venue and friendly staff but really disappointed with the chef's understanding of a vegetarian meal. Attended a private dinner party where steak was the main entree and despite pre-advanced notice that we had vegetarians in our group, they were served double portions of veg to replace the meat. No effort was made to provide a reasonable protein based or other alternative. Expected better from this venue that came highly recommended.
Good layout, challenging course. Folks friendly. Only real negative is the Pearson flight path. Would recommend.
Good place.
Solid track. Marshall's push the pace well. Challenging course. Lots of water. Bunkers could use a bit of work but it had rained a lot.
Great inner city test of golf. Accurate shots are a must. Down side is airplane traffic. The noise is too much at times. Though during Covid it isn't as much of an issue. Great scenery including wildlife.
Course was in great shape, but it was extremely difficult to determine yardages because there wasn't a lot of distance markers.
Great place, you just have to watch the gooses
(Translated) It is a beautiful lake with lots of vegetation, beautiful place (Original) Es un hermoso lago con mucha vegetación bello lugar
Great place to host any event. Great view of golf course. Indoor and outdoor settings. Very professional and friendly staff. Very well priced. Great Chef. I did a catering over the wknd for a Navjote Function. Really helpful staff, very polite and courtious too.
Pretty nice
This was a nice venue for a work Christmas party. Food was decent. Good amount of space. My only criticism would be that the music was way too loud for my liking (acknowledging that that statement makes me sound like an old sour washed up has-been: it's just that for a work party where you are introducing your spouse to your co-workers and socializing with them out of work, it would be nice to actually be able to have a conversation. As opposed to a club, where volume and base is of the highest priority).
Played Nov.20. Paid full pop...$100 No yardage markers...no tee box markers.. And they shortened a par 5 to about 250 yds.. What a bad joke ..
Let's begin with staff. They are non existent. Why bother having bunkers filled with mud. Fill them in with dirt and sod. 9th tee box closed off,are you kidding me what a joke. Beverage cart finally showed up on the 16th tee after calling pro shop. Experience terrible !!!
Wow is all I can say. It is a tough course but man is it fun! We had a great time with our 4some, challenging course, used the driver about 6 or 7 holes. Accuracy is key on this course, miss the fairway and you're in for a long day!! :)
Challenging layout
It's a city level field with a private club price. The course layout was good but maintenance was lacking with weeds on tees and fairways. Some of the bunkers were overrun with plants.
