If there were more stars- id give them all and still add some! I cant say i was a bridezilla, but attention to detail and timing and communication are of utmost importance to me! I just got married at Markland Woods Golf Club yesterday, June 09, 2018, but instead of fully recovering and recharging- i want to write this review! Everything and everyone was absolutely fantastic! Beyond fantastic! Food was incredible ( mushroom soup, ceasar salad, steaks, salmon, chicken, dessert, poutine for late night and passed munchies during cocktail hour)! All of the staff were incredible! Melissa (event manager we worked with)- i knew everything would be perfect and it was! Leo- manager who looked after us the night od as Melissa was not there- no worda can describe how thankful i am. All of the staff were amazing! Special thanks to one of the servers who rocked out on the dancefloor to one of the old school hits! Guests are amazed at quality of service, timing, attention to even the tiniest detail, quality of food, accessibility (plenty of parking, close to highways and we had ppl come from Guelph, Alliston, Toronto core, Burlington, Oakville, etc)... schedule- with flexibility. Bar service- excellent and full and beers on tab and people were getting Ceasars too!. i am frankly speechless and am your number one fan now! If only i played golf- id join :) thank you! Any event- anyone reading this- do not hesitate to reach out to them

My husband and I were married in April 2018 and had our Wedding Reception at Markland Woods Golf Course in Mississauga, ON. It was an absolutely lovely experience, from the day we met Melissa (Catering Manager) till our actual wedding day. She was extremely helpful. She met with both of us to make sure all our questions were answered. She always reached out to us to ensure our needs were met. She was there on the day of our wedding coordinating all our vendors and the staff. She was amazing. We will never forget her kindness and willingness to work with us. Thank you so much Melissa and Markland Woods for all your help and making our day so memorable! God bless you all!

My wife held her baby shower here and it was great. The room was spacious, clean and a great view of the golf course. The best part was the service. Everyone was extremely helpful and the lady that was over looking the group was so nice. She was very attentive and was always making sure we were ok. Food taste great and plenty of parking.

This is a first rate golf club! From the moment I walked through the doors I felt welcomed and comfortable. The locker room, amenities and pro shop are fully appointed and the staff had answers to all my questions. This is a challenging golf course yet fair and most importantly easy to walk. The variety of tee decks make it accessible to golfers of all skill levels. It is also located right in the heart of the city's west end so a short drive from most of the western GTA. The dining room and club room are comfortable, the food is great and once agian the staff is outstanding. Don't miss your chance to tee it up at Markland Wood.

I started playing golf 3 years ago and I took a series of lessons from a golf franchise to start me on the right track. It got me going but I felt it was a cookie cutter approach. I had to mach my swing to 90% of all pro golfers. I couldn't do it! I'm still an athlete at 50, but at 18 I couldn't hit like Willie Mays as hard as I tried. So I had to find a pro that got it and I found it here. They changed things in my swing that disabled me from developing "MY Swing". I needed "My Swing" to come out and play. When I came here for the first time they told me that Im going to hit in the 90's in a few months. I looked and smiled and just shook my head in disbelief. Well, when I started here I was shooting 120, about 90 days later, today, I shot 96. I am very happy with this place and I highly recomand it!

I had the privilege of attending Easter dinner at Maryland Wood Golf Club and it was fantastic. I had the stirfry with jumbo prawns, they were cooked to perfection and everything was very delicious. The serving staff was very friendly and accommodating. If you have a chance to attend this restaurant inside the golf club you should definitely take advantage of that opportunity. I highly recommend it!

Beautiful, meticulously maintained, upscale private golf club in the west end of Etobicoke. Membership is expensive and limited to the well to do. The course is tight requiring well targeted shots and the greens are tricky and fast. Although I played as a guest on a Tuesday afternoon, I found the course to be fully packed resulting in a slow paced lengthy game.

Was here for a small wedding (~90) people as a guest. The hor d'oeuvres were amazing, and in general the service was very pleasant. The wedding started off with a cocktail hour in the patio, and the ambiance was very light and airy and made it very free and easy for the guests to mingle and have a drink/hor d'oeuvre before going into the more formalized dinner area. The DJ who came with the venue was also excellent.

Great course, hidden on the west end of the city within a nice and quiet neighbourhood. Well kept, challenging greens but with a variety of holes and obstacles. Great and friendly staff, very helpful. Some holes have maple trees as yardage markers which is very unique. Private course but I think they have public access days.

If you ever have the chance to play this course you should take it. 100% would absolutely LOVE to play again if I get an invite. Arrive early as they have a fantastic practice facility. Yes facility! Great for warming up and making adjustments before a round. The course itself was very well manicured. Challenging but hard to lose a ball which is nice. The staff were all friendly. It was just a great time. Thanks for having us!

My first year as a member here at Markland has been an amazing experience. The mentality of everyone is to have fun and golf as much as possible. The members are down to earth and there is never any problems finding someone to play with and having a great round. Oh and did I mention a fast round? The course itself is in amazing shape very challenging and offers a new look every time. Keep it straight and it plays very fair. The greens roll fast and true and you know what to expect out of the sand. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Markland Wood is a excellent, walkable, surprisingly challenging (watch those greens) Toronto golf course. I've been a member for 5 years and it was a fantastic decision to join. Its amazing when I bring friends who play consistently at what are considerably 'tougher' sloped courses yet seem to find their way into trouble here. A shot makers course, with tight fairways and tough, guarded greens. We, the members, are constantly re-investing for the future. Since I've joined we've updated greens, added new tee boxes (extending the course), built the new practice facility all to ensure a top notch experience.

My baby shower was hosted here in December. I was so pleased with how everything turned out and received many compliments. Melissa was great in coordinating the details for the event and very accommodating. We were allowed to have our own sweet table which was important as this was a Polish/Italian shower. They also allowed us to come early that morning to set up. The day of the shower, the service staff was great and made sure everything went smoothly. We had the Markland Lunch Buffet. There was a lot of food and it was delicious!

I’ve been a member at Markland Wood for 5 years now and can’t say any negative things! As an intermediate member I take advantage of the reduced rates making golf extremely affordable compared to other clubs. The course conditions are top notch. The bunkers are soft and well drained, the greens run fast and tight fairways create a great challenge for golfers. The community at the course is great and the club restaurant is great! I always take advantage of the weekly bistro menu.

My husband and I got married on October 14, 2017 and we had our wedding reception at Markland Wood Golf Club. We loved the venue the minute we walked into it. It has a warm, intimate feel to it and the staff were so professional. The space is so beautiful already, you barely need any decorating. Melissa, the catering manager, was so helpful and professional throughout the entire planning process and was quick to respond to all of my silly questions. On the day of, she made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it set up as per my instructions, so I knew I could relax and enjoy the day without stressing about the details. The serving staff were very friendly and professional. The food was one of the best parts! All of our guests were raving about the food! A lot of times golf courses/clubs can serve sub-par food, but Markland Wood is definitely the exception to this! You MUST try their Toffee Apple Tart! It was the perfect fall dessert for our October wedding. Thank you Markland Wood for making our special day perfect!

Had lunch today with a member and a friend. Arrived around 1.00. Asked if French onion soup was on the lunch menu to be told no only on the dinner menu, had to ask her twice before getting the answer. One guest ordered a salad with peppers, cucumbers, olives, feta cheese and roasted peppers and it was served with no feta cheese. Michelle the server took the salad away and then brought it back and said the chef was missing so I brought you this in a dish and I think its feta! Not up to usual standards with regards to the service and Michelle seemed overworked and not enough staff to cope with the guests. Food was very good. Service needs work.

I enjoyed playing this course. I was invited by a member and found it very scenic. Etobicoke Creek rinds thru the whole course. Everyone was friendly. The locker room is a little disorganized but I can survive that. The course itself was in great shape and it was challenging enough to keep you focused. The greens were in great shape. I would happy play this course again and look forward to another invite!

It is a good place for playing golf. The area is not so big however all the facilities are given to the users. It has facilities to conduct a conference with a good quality of services provided by the staffs. Food and beveragea served by them were really nice. The overall experience was great.

I had trial membership. It's a private golf club managing itself like a public golf course. Corporate tournaments both Monday and Tuesday most weeks plus internal tournaments to generate money. Played 6 hour round with guest. Next to impossible to get a walk-on tee time. $6 yogurts at half-way house. Highest elevation on course is a built-up tee box. Experience so bad it made me give up golfing.
