We have the opinions of real people who use the services of Markham Golf Dome (Golf) in Etobicoke (Canada).
At this moment this business has a score of 4.2 over 5 and that rating is based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that it reaches an opinions average is quite high, and it is founded on a large number of scores, so we may say that the score is quite credible. If many people have bothered to value when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to put feddbacks when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Golf belongs to the category of Golf driving range.
Very good experience with the coach and the team
Super expensive and busy. Strict rules on sharing and observing. - I've been to many driving ranges during the pandemic, you're the only one with these rules and these ridiculous prices. 20$ for a small bucket?!
Run of the mill golf range, nothing particularly remarkable about the facility. Some staff have been incredibly rude, complaining that I didn't have my license ready to hand him when I got to the desk and they weren't busy. Clearly it's always so packed that they don't care about being super rude and condescending to customers. If there were any other domes in the area I would not go back.
It was fun
Fun place. Sometimes crowrded. Good sales right now. Watch out for mosquitos at night
Took some lessons here. I like this place. Will be visiting again
I always love coming here. I'm not a huge fan of being on the second level of the range decks (too close to the ceiling; some wedge shots hit the roof prematurely lol), but the front desk is always accommodating and lets me use the lower deck if space is available. Staff are very friendly and the $25/2 hrs night price on weekends can't be beat. Dome is fairly temperate and you should stay warm enough as long as you're swinging clubs. Very clean facility.
Always a good time
Went to the driving range there. Very reasonably priced and friendly service
Has everything I need to keep my swings in-tune on and off season.
One of the only options with lights, but they just upped their already expensive prices. If you're going to a range before 8, look elsewhere for more affordable buckets.
Can be very busy during the middle of the day or after. Prices are reasonable to above average depending on interest. Staff are friendly for the most part.
Get there early and get a mat or the lights go out on the grass tees and you cant see your ball. Inside the some is really nice.
Can get way too busy at peak times, but nice and convenient place for quick practice
SO COLD. They don't turn on the heat in this place so, bring your parka. Also, the balls leave a lot to be desired. That being said, there aren't many alternatives for indoor practice so I guess they can afford to neglect their customers.
Perfect on a sunny day. So much space and close by the 407 to access.
Great outdoor driving range. Staff friendly and thank you for opening at 7:30am so I can squeeze some time to come before work! Pretty well maintained and a popular destination. A good amount of people already there early morning! Looking forward to trying the dome some day
Always clean and able to find a spot to drive golf balls.
Great if you hit off the mat but bad off the grass
Nice place to practice your swing. Had one lesson which was also very beneficial. Good service. Bought three more lessons on Groupon :-)
Good place to practice chipping and putting, which 60% of the golf game!
I love this place, excellent and great value for playing here. A tip for selecting an instructor: AVOID Jimmy. He tries to suck you into paying for minimum 10 lessons upfront, versus selling himself and actually showing you how good of an instructor he is. He is very aggressive and that made a horrible experience for my wife's first time playing golf, causing us to just walk away from him. All I wanted him to do was teach my wife the basics for her first experience with golf, but he told us that even getting paid 5 lessons was a waste of his time. Who says that to someone? especially on their FIRST golf experience. All other instructors are A+.
Perfect facility and golf club rental is available as well; but slightly expensive
Great indoor and outdoor facility. Was very crowded but good place to go with family and friends.
A really fun place to try out your swing all year round. There is plenty of outdoor space in the summer and a two-floor range inside as well. Prices are super fair and while the location itself could use a renovation, it's still well taken care of. Would like to see some nicer drivers for rent, and I don't love the noise from the highway when I'm outside - but other than that - it's not bad!
So the receptionist or the instructor never called back when i wanted to book an instructor. I am going to the richmond hill golf club then.
That was Great..✌ Golf lover must come!
My family and i visited for a morning and we had fun. The price is very reasonable and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The facility is well maintained. It is highly recommended.
I've always had a great experience at Markham Golf Dome. The staff are friendly and knowledgable about golf. I go to practice in the winter because they have an Indoor Driving Range and since I can't afford to go south it's a great spot. They always have great retail sales and recently have a huge sale on $5.00 gloves. Their outdoor range is always the first open of the season and I try and get out as soon as I can. When my kids are off, I'll bring them to their outdoor mini-golf, they have a blast at $5.00/person/round, it's a great time with the family!
This place has so much potential. Really unfortunate how much they've increased their prices. 20+ dollars for range balls is insane. Hoping they'll drop their prices back down to a reasonable price. For now, I'll take my business elsewhere
Great place for winter practice.
Whacked a great deal of balls in 45 minutes. Wouldn't mind some more targets to hit. But overall a great indoor course for winter to let off some shots.
Great indoor and outdoor ranges. They offer season passes, 10 buckets can be purchased at a discount. Great for rainy days or cold winter days.
Went on a Saturday night. Loved the fact that you did not have to pay per basket!
Got a coupon for this indoor golf range and was very impressed by the facility. 2 tiers of golf mats and unlimited balls. You pay by the minute so it could get pricey. Either way a great way to keep the swing in check over the winner months. I highly recommend this over the digital version od indoor golf.
Outstanding. The staff are wonderful and it’s a beautiful place.
Great to loosen up and practice the swing.
In thr beginning I didn't like it or hate it thats y I gave it 4 .... after a couple of times going their i figur out why I am still going.... the staff are great and friendly. The dome need some improvement but it is really good enough to keep you going their.
Outside driving range is big but the grass is not good???????? good place to relax and practice.
When dark, the lights don't shine on the entire field. Where they do shine, the area is packed with people waiting, not ideal during covid. Went on a Friday night.
The outdoor facility at Markham Golf Dome has become my go to range now that Scarborough Family Golf has closed. I prefer being outside, when I can, to practise. The mats here are in generally good shape and you can choose to hit off the grass for the same price. To practise other aspects of your game there is a fair size putting green, a mini golf course and a chipping area with a separate green. They have also added more mats and an additional grass area this year. The indoor facility is large for a golf dome but they use different balls from the balls in use outside. Groupon can snag you some deals for practice and lessons. We have had good results getting lessons from Billy. Tip: If the rubber tees on the mat are broken then asking at the counter for a replacement will get you hitting your driver from that mat again.
Bit small. Very busy place. Good mats and grass taken care of.
Great all season location to work on your golf swing. Carl F. is a fantastic instructor.
Nice place to practice. 70 yard indoor or outdoor driving range. Also green, bunker.
Good decent place. But pretty expensive. 28$ a hour on weekdays
good place for practice. nice workers. great for golf beginners
Need some more lighting but overall pretty good
Large indoor dome facility with outdoor range (includes grass tee range, as well). Indoor dome charges per minute. Depending on time of day/season the rates change. It has a lower and upper deck as well as a putting area. It used to have a bunker area with sand BUT now it's just artificial turf with an empty pit. It also has a club-fitter as an in-house service. Also, has CPGA lessons provided. The only drawback was we arrived 10 minutes after the Seniors' rate ended and they refused to extend it for us.
Great facility, wonderful staff. Perfect place to practice in the winter.
Great facility. Indoor dome and outdoor range. Mats and real grass bays outdoors. Putting green and bunkers as well. Even a mini putt course for the kids. Everything you could ask for.
Crowded but good facility close to the city. Friendly helpful staff. Lots of fun.
$16 for a large bucket of balls. Nice facility outdoors. Driving range, putting green and sand trap practice. Didn't see inside the dome. Wait til winter.
The Dome was "Ok", I would have expected a little more for the rates they charge. The "golf pro" has to be the most obnoxious and rude individual I have met in a very long time. Thanks for the memories... Not coming back soon!
Purchasing golf attire for my wife. The selection and prices are great, much better than Golftown. Clean fitting rooms and Duncan Butler keeps us laughing. ( I think I will get some lessons from him)
Really fun Golf Dome. Great for practicing your swing in the winter
Came at the exact same time as a friend and they charged me an extra 3 dollars for the time I waited in line to pay. Greasy business, will be going to Scarborough golf dome from now on. Response: Charging someone $3 to wait in line is definitely a poor business practice. Learn to have some discretion! Thanks for the response.
40$ for an hour and 80$ for 2 hours inside a 100 yard dome that you cant see the ball flight.
Decent place, it's open late which is good and the outdoor range is pretty huge.
I m not a very golfer guy but this place is good, you get lots of place and plus its real cheap and money value. I bought 100 balls for 20 bucks and a golf club for 5 bucks.
When I went it was not busy. I was able to get as much practice. Great place to work on your short game.
Great place for indoor driving range, great staff, I lost my club and they helped to find it, :)
Good covid19 precautions, unlimited balls for an hour and a morning senior's rate of 20 dollars including tax.
Very good driving range, popular too
Always packed. $20 for a regular bucket... egregious prices, especially for range balls... which are basically rocks. But I guess people are willing to pay given its always packed. I used to go here all the time, but I'll let capitalism dictate any future visits here.
Paid $35 for 2 hours in the upper deck, used 5 buckets. Quick and smooth transaction. Staff explained everything since it was my first time. A bit small, you can't tell the yardage but I guess that's how indoor ranges are.
The only indoor range nearby Richmond Hill, always packed especially in Winters. Open 7am-11pm daily even during most public holidays. Reasonable price, but it is time to do some renovations.
Excellent place to practice, i met the teacher Luiz (brazilian) and was an excellent guy and very friendly, i was having trouble finding my swing and he offered help me as a courtesy, now i'm more confident and i'm planning to get more lessons and my for my daughter. 100% recommended. I noticed he is not in the PRO BIOS & RATES section in your web page. You should have him there so people can get to know him.
It was my first time here and Theo at cash made my experience very welcoming. He let me look inside the dome but I ended up playing outside. He was very helpful, such as when explaining to me where to get the golf balls. No matter where, it is great employees like Theo that truly make the experience enjoyable and memorable. Definitely coming back here again!
The problem with the dome is for big hitters like me - we cant really practise properly. My balls always hit the end of the dome so its like hitting into a net. I recommend the outdoor range in the summer, this is ok if you hit small, or if its winter. Also sometimes you can't hit because they let girls play soccer here, so that's annoying
Nice place to practice all aspects of your game.
A good number of outdoor stalls to hit from which really helps and a reasonable price. Be prepared to wait on some evenings if the weather is good.
Easy, quick service. Love that they're open until 11pm. Would be even better if they stretched it to midnight.. At least on the weekends.
one of the worst experience we had. the staff was OK, but the owner was so mean
Great place to hit some balls at a better rate then most places.
Nice place. Needs to offer some more modern technology for an indoor driving range. Very stereotypical 2 floor range off mats.
Good but really busy!
Nice staff, nice range, best for indoor dome at winter times.
it is a good place to practice Golf
Great place for an outdoor activity with your friends or colleagues. Reasonable rental rates for balls and clubs.
This facility continues to improve. They added more grass tees, the mats are in decent condition and there are plenty of mats to choose from. Flag distances can be improved. The green is ok but needs some attention. Same goes for the sand trap area.
Fairly pricey ($20-30 for an hour of hitting, typically), putting/chipping green is subpar, chips are unrealistically springy when they bounce and the slopes are too big for an artificial turf. One of the bigger domes I’ve been to so you can see ball flight for a while.
The indoor pads are much better than outside ones. It costs more tho. Good place over all. You are getting what you paid.
I come here often pricing is decent and both options of indoor or outdoor. Good parking outside.
Good field
Relatively, a good place to practice with my swing in golf. Good staff too
Staff was very rude, we asked a question because we had never been there before and on our way out the lady at the counter made a rude remark I guess thinking we couldn’t hear. Would not go back here again.
This place has been around a long time and is very popular during the winter months. The place is maintained relatively well. The supply or range balls is almost always full. They don't make any fuss or charge more for sharing mate. But I would avoid prime times when wait time could be long.
I love it because my favorite golf teacher is Billy he teaches well and is good at shooting golf balls though it’s expensive I still like it friendly people there and many great things!
Polite staff and nice quiet atmosphere. Will come here again for some much needed me time
Everything you need in one place with friendly staff and great atmosphere.
Friendly people at this place. Very helpful.
Offers both outdoors and indoor services. Outdoor is not available during winter. Facility is good, reasonably priced. private lessons are also available. Check GROUPON before you come, they offer coupons frequently. Also subscribe to their email offers for more coupons :)
I am in no way an avid golfer, so I won't go into extreme detail about Markham Golf Dome. They give you exactly what the name says; a dome in which you can golf. That being said, it is a rather large dome, so you do have the ability to really get a feel for the potential of your swings. One of its notables are the ground and suspended targets that they've set up for accuracy practice. And of course, there's the ball retrieval cart that comes along every now and then that you're obligated by law to hit. For two hours, and unlimited balls, I shelled out $35, which according to my buddy, isn't bad. But hey, what do I know about golfing rates. I should say that I get the feeling that an avid golfer would give this place a 4 star, but I'm just going by personal feel.
In indoor and outdoor mats. Reasonable price. Can be quite busy.
Super friendly staff and nice greens. Reasonable prices too! Lots of bays!
Nice drive range. $20 for 100 balls (15 if u buy 10 jumbo at once) A great place for practicing and relaxing. Coach here is also quite professional.
A little on the expensive side but hey, supply and demand. Staff are great
Way over capacity, long wait, big crowds and more mosquitoes.
Great winter place to keep in swinging shape.
I took my daughter Emma to Professor Luiz for a lesson to see if she liked golf and she loved it. Now she takes classes every week with him and we've been fascinated with the way Luiz teaches. He is a very respectful and affectionate teacher with children and youth. My daughter tells me she wants to go every day because she has a great time in the Dome and my husband too. Now I have recommended to my friends to take their children to Luiz. And i hope Emma become a PRO anytime soon :) with his help.
Competent staff and not messy here (only criteria I can think of for rating a gas station)
Great place to practice and kill some time.
Very good place for golf, but the interior needs a renovation. It looks tired and has no energy. Its's a little dark and dingy behind the counter. I believe they could do better with their golf counter and add more services like club fitting. More value added service. Even a partnership with a local store as a mini-shop. The range is quite busy.
Watery ground, much pricier than valuated when considering outdoor condition. Never come again!
We love going to the driving range. It is super packed on the weekends and after 6 on weekdays. But it's a good place to practice your swing. Large golfball basket (100 golf balls) for outdoor is $16.99.
A little pricey but good place to hit balls
Great, well maintained place to practice indoor or outdoor. Parking is sufficient and reasonable rates. Such a convenient location!
this is my second home lol
Great facility. Came here for the first time because of a Groupon deal and was pleasantly surprised. The outdoor range is really nice, some mats are better than others. There is lots of room to hit off the grass/mud and even a putting green with many holes. The indoor dome is great, targets help you practice consistent aiming. The instructor we had (Billy) was great for us, we will be trying to book another lesson with him for the new season!
The dome should be your last resort. You're told it's $20/30min for unlimited balls if you choose to practice indoors. You would have to hit a ball every 30-35secs to go through the equivalent of a small bucket, or every 15-20 seconds for …
Everything is good, but the air inside the dome is bad. There is a lot of dust. There is also a fitting shop, so I need to clean the air quickly.
Price not as competitive like the other domes around the GTA. But their practice balls are better than most i been to so far. So in a way it is worth it for new to amateur golfers before they get out on the field!
Came here for a work event. Prices were fair and club rentals were included. Nice atmosphere, and surprisingly busy for a Thursday morning. Dome was very warm (during the winter) and well lit. Overall, good experience.
Great place to practice. You can practice all aspects of your game here.
Overall its pretty good but a bit chilly inside.
We got a 2hr special for 43$ plus tax and a few of us shared the carpet with unlimited balls. Staff are great.
Lots of options, whether indoor, on mats or on grass. Great facility! Same prices for buckets grass or mats.
Nice place to go when the weather is bad. Good price... Could use a little cleanup, though.
All Covid and contact tracing measures in place. Ample parking. New Wilson Staff golf balls in use. All the outdoor mats and grass areas are open. Only saw two blockheads not wearing masks :(
Good senior special and grass to hit from
Facilities really need a big improvement. Especially the main entrance, and also the door from the inside. Ridiculously inconvenience for the person who carrying a golf bag to squeeze through the door
The two-hour rate on weekdays is nice. Though it’s busy all day long. My biggest issue is about 1 in 4 balls are absolute garbage and fly like a quail on acid. Customers shouldn’t have to sort good balls from bad. Surely there’s a better way? Like replacing them all at once? Still I hit here all the time in winter. Beggars can’t be choosers.
This is a really great place to get away during the summer time. Its a massive area allowing for minimal wait time.
Friendly staff. Every time I went, golfers are very courteous and obey the rules.
when you guys gona open agin!! I can‘t wait anymore ????????????!
Great Place, great staff, will come back again!
A good driving range with putting green and sand trap
I love this place. Whenever I go there I get to watch Freddie hit balls. He is amazing. I wish I could be as good as him. What an amazing human being.
Friendly service and decent facilities
As driving ranges go, this one offers both outdoor (seasonal) and indoor facilities. Choose the indoor lower mats if you're serious about practicing and not just whacking balls. Upper stalls don't provide enough vertical space especially for irons. Pricey but I guess that's what you've got to fork out!!
I suggest this place especially if you are a beginner...friendly staff.. had a great time ????
Golf pro extremely friendly!
Always enjoy visiting the Markham Golf dome. Tons of great spots and room. Shout out to the great staff always trying to help. One of my irons snapped and the club face flew into the range. The team took out the truck just to find it - which they did. I will keep going back!
Decent pricing, large facility and friendly staff. Very crowded on weekends, unfortunately.
Large venue with indoor avail year-round and a large outdoor area. Bucket of balls is pricier than other locations for outdoor but indoor prices are similar to other indoor domes. Outdoor has automatic ball dispenser, but you have to pay inside. Would be nice to have a way to pay out there incase you want to hit another bucket.
I like this place for practice weekend evening Price is reasonable and unlimited golf ball whatever building is a little old
Clean facility, friendly and knowledgable stuff.
Great facility... staff are amazing. Went today (Dec 8) and the outdoor range was open (how far back is the net from the mats?)... I’ve folded inside and out and both serve their purpose really well. The outdoor chipping and putting area looked impressive (didn’t bring wedges or putter to try). Highly recommend for serious golfers and those trying to improve their game.
Great place. Good prices. Try to go early mornings for better hourly rate! Covid protocols followed nicely! …
it is a great place to go. come down and check it out. the owners are great people and are very happy to have new or veretan golf players in for a bucket or two :)
Good place for practicing golf
I’m not one who usually writes reviews but I felt this was absolutely necessary. Luiz Martins has made the game of golf fun again for me. Simply put, he is a true professional. Not only is he highly qualified but he is able to communicate his years of experience playing the game in a very simple and easy approach. He doesn’t over complicate the golf swing but instead he patiently teaches you the fundamentals step by step until you get it, then before you know it, you have a really good looking and fundamentally strong swing. I cannot stress how much I appreciated my lessons with Luiz. I highly recommend anyone who is frustrated with their lack of progression in their golf game to take lessons with him, you will see immediate results.
Great place to practice your golf swing.
Its a very easily accessible location and they are open late if you want to hit a few balls in the evening.. only issue is it can get a little busy...and by a little busy i mean ridiculously busy! Take a look at the pic... this was a Wednesday at 9pm.
A little bit pricey and pretty packed. Recently, I figured their green is not maintained well. It was not like this bad before. But still great facility to practice your swing.
Great venue to get ready for golf season 4 months away
Some of the workers here don't even greet when the customers enter the office. Some of them they always have frown look on their faces. If they don't want to work there they should just quit!
Nice staffs and friendly. Hard to look for Pro to teach.
not cheap but thats expected as it's a real indoor range and not just a golf sim. Great for winter. would recommend
Great customer service and very easy to talk to
